PIONEER CAR MULTIMEDIA AVH P8450BT

somebody knows if Pioneer and Apple are trying to fix the problem of compatibility between Iphone 4s or 5s updated with
IOS 7 and my car multimedia audio system AVH P8450BT ?
I just bought few months ago and now nothing is working after updating to IOS 7. With the previos IOS 6 it works perfecly .....
I really hope they will think how to fix otherwise both of them will loose a customer in future......
Relevant APPS involved are EC TOUCH, CarMediaPlayer, AppRAdio, EasyCar.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards
Lorenzo V.

Hello Lorenzo,
I have a 4s and the avh-8450bt too. Pioneer has a firmware update on the Pioneer (AU) site. This helped me after I installed iOS7.0.4.
However, some apps still bomb out when using it via AppRadio or EC Touch. I have a feeling that this is not because of pioneer but rather the 3rd party apps.
My Waze for example just produce a black screen but it runs 100% on the phone.
Maybe we just need to way for iOS 7.1 in a few weeks.
Good luck.

  • E72 connected to Car Multimedia in Toyota Prius

    Hi!
I've a Toyota Prius and I've finally managed to connect my phone, E72, to the Car Multimedia . But when I try to get the contacts from the phone to the Car Multimedia, the bluetooth connection immediately shuts down for a few seconds and then reestablish itself automatically. The settings in the phone is that this is OK, it is not blocked.
    How do I solve this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Have you gone to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > Enhancement > Wireless Car Kit = Set as default? You can also set Automatic answer to be "Off" or "On" here also.
Must confess that I forced phonebook into Toyota system using Sony Ericsson C510 before I got E72 so didn't have that problem.
You might like to access this Toyota resource, although E72 not listed the E5 a similar S60 3rd FP2 device is and appears compatible:

This is a typical response from the manufacturer. Did you try the fix that Lawrence mentioned. When Apple or any other phone manufacturer update phone software, they have the latest Bluetooth installed. It is usually the problem with the radio manufacturer that they devices are using the older Bluetooth protocols. You can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581 and see if anything there helps, but generally it requires the radio manufacturer to update their firmware.

  • Pioneer car cd player wont connect with my ipod. I continue to get "error 19"

Pioneer car cd player won't connect with my ipod. I continue to get "error 19". I've tried everything in the book and I can't get either my ipod touch(2nd gen) or my iphone 4 (both with the latest updates) to work.  Pioneer unit model # is DEH-P8300UB

The iPod is designed to work with iTunes, you can't load songs onto it without either iTunes or some other iPod manager which you would still need to download. Without software on your computer to manage your iPod then it's pretty much useless, explain to your grandparents that the iPod will not work without iTunes. If you need to explain to them what's required then let them have a look at this page: iPod nano Fast Start: The New User's Guide to iPod nano

  • Ipod Adapter for Pioneer Car Stereo

Hi there experts and wannabe experts.
I just got a new Pioneer car deck with a USB iPod connecter. When I connect my iPod (which is 4-5 years old) an error message appears. According to the manual, my Ipod is too old. So the good people at Pioneer want me to buy what appears to me to be an external drive that I would basically transfer all of my music over to. The price is around $130. This seems ridiculous to me and I am thinking there must be some other kind of adapter out there. I'd rather get a new Ipod than that dumb Pioneer dealie. BUT, it seems kinda stupid because we have two older Ipods with tons of memory and they both work great.
    Any ideas?
    Much appreciated!

You need to be more specific. If you're just looking for some kind of interface to work with a radio he/she already has, then I would need to know what kind of radio it is, or if it is a factory radio, I would need to know Make, model and year of the vehicle to give you some ideas. If you are looking for a new radio, then most of your aftermarket radio manufacturers make iPod compatible radios that simply need to have a cable added and you can plug an iPod directly into the new radio and control it with the radio. This allows text to be shown on the radio display as well as charges the iPod. I currently work with Alpine and Kenwood and both of them offer a full speed interface. Full speed is kind of important as some of the older interfaces were slow and cumbersome to operate.
Give me a little more info. and I'm sure I can help you out.

  • Pioneer car stereo and iOS 7?

I recently purchased a Pioneer car stereo so that I could play music from my iPod Touch 5G. (My stock stereo did not have a conntection). I uploaded the new iOS 7 and plugged it in the morning on the way to work and there was an error on the car stereo. Then the iPod said (this is not a compatible device). Obviously it is the new OS that caused this. What can I do?  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not tell me that I have to contact Pioneer to rectify the issue. THANK YOU!!

    - First reset the car system, and reset the iPod,
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Contact Pioneer. Maybe there is firmware update for the car system
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem then the iOS update broke compatibility. That happens sometimes. You will have to wait for a iOS update or a firmware update to the car system

  • Ios 8.3/iPhone 6 problem connecting to Pioneer car stereo

    Pioneer model AVH-X2600.
There are two ways to connect to my car stereo to play music: iPod mode or Bluetooth.  Prior to 8.3 the BT connection would automatically pause my music after about 10 seconds.  After I push Play on the stereo it would continue on without issue.  Following the 8.3 update, after about 10 seconds on the BT connection there is this awful scratching/skipping noise, not unlike a skipping cd.  But after 5-10 seconds of that, everything is back to normal.
Prior to 8.3 the iPod mode would take a good 20 secs to connect, but then everything would play normally.  Now, with 8.3, it won't connect at all.
I don't have any problems with BT connections to other speakers, so maybe this is a Pioneer problem??  Anyone else having this same problem?

Apple is messing with car connectivity for the new car functionality. The "updates" are breaking iPod mode on multiple vehicles. iOS 8.4 Beta 1 is even worse. Connects fine but most functionality is broken.
    See this thread:
ios 8.3 update, now phone can't connect to car stereo

  • G1 no longer playable on Pioneer car receiver after resetting.

I had to reset my first generation iPod Touch and then updated the OS. It resolved the audio issues I was experiencing, but now it won't play on my Pioneer head unit (DEH-69000UB). It just reads "Format Read" forever when I plug it in. Do I need to downgrade the OS? I don't see anything in the Pioneer manual or website about this.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.  Some other uses have reported problems with car systems not working after updating the iOS.  SInce 3.1.3 s the last update for the 1G, unless Pioneer can help you I do not have any suggestions.

  • Static Noise through Pioneer Car Radio

I've found some threads about the static noise problem in the Ipod classics. I wonder if anyone has experience connecting the ipod to a sound system such as the Kenwood or Pioneer Avic-X3, the latter I now own. These car systems are state of the art, and one of the few systems who allow direct control over the ipod. I wanted the very best, so I specifically bought the Ipod for this purpose.
The problem is the audio quality because of static noise is simply terrible. Even if no music is playing there is a continues buzzing sound through the sound system (probably the HDD) which gets worse when you turn up the volume. turning off the EQ in the ipod makes no difference. Pioneer blames the Ipod, and by checking various threads it seems this is a genuine problem. What advise would you guys give me, is it worth raising this with Apple by going back to the store? I can't believe I spend more then 2000 Euros on this entire system and having this crap quality.

The Ipod classic didnt work on the Pioneer X3, you will get a ERROR A0 on your display .... the ipod video 5th version works great .... but not the classic,i bought the ipod classic ... and it dont work

  • Frozen iPod when using Pioneer Car Kit

Up till tonight, my ipod has always worked fine with my cars Pioneer headunit and ipod connect equipment but its now decided to freeze and won't let me do anything. The screen has completely locked and I've tried doing the restart procedure but nothing happens. It is less than a year old and so wouldn't have thought that would be a problem. When it's plugged into my car, it comes up saying an error on the headunit screen, when I plug it into my computer, nothing on ipod happens, doesn't recognise anything being connected, and the screen has just stayed the same with the Pioneer logo. Any thoughts?

i hv a new '10 jeep commander w/ uconnect and hv the iphone/ipod connector factory installed in the glove box. all worked great before i put the ios4 update on my 3gs. before the update all my ipod stuff on the phone was all on my touch screen. now gone:( will only play the last song that was on when i used the ipod part of the iphone and i get the message this doesn't work w/ iphone, instead of the airplane mode message that has appeared when i plugged in forever.
hope there is others w/ this. apple better get an update for the update.

  • Deperately need help with my iPod and Pioneer Car Stereo

I just bought Pioneer's newest deck from Best Buy. The Model number of the deck is DEH-P6800MP. It has a mini jack (2.5 mm stereo jack) on the front of the deck that you can plug your iPod into. I purchased the little adaptor that allows me to just plug the iPod in using the Headphone Jack. It works great. I can use my click wheel to navigate the menus and the sound is awesome...except for one thing, it only plays through the right side speakers. I thought maybe the Fader needed to be adjusted on the deck but everything is dead center. I thought maybe something was wrong with the deck but the Tuner and CD player both work perfectly. I even tried using different cables with no success. When I called Best Buy they told me they were familiar with the problem and to download the newest software for my iPod and it should fix it. It didn't! I am so frustrated by this. I paid alot of money for this deck thinking I wouldn't have to buy any additional interfaces and would never have to deal with an FM transmitter again. Can anybody help?
Fifth Generation 60 Gig iPod   Windows XP

After plugging my walkman in and experiencing the same problem, I figured it must be the adaptor. I went to the local Radio Shack and picked up a mini-jack adaptor that was indeed Stereo. Thankfully it worked!!! I can't tell you how happy my family and I are to have all our music available in the family vehicle. Thanks for your help and @#$% Best Buy for selling me not one but two car stereos under the false pretense that I wouldn't need anything else to hook-up my iPod and then not having any idea how to help me when I needed it.

  • Powerbook G4 thru Pioneer car radio

I am trying to hook my G4 thru my car(2004Scion XB) stereo (Pioneer T1201) so I can listen to iTunes radio via my car radio(with my Verizon Wireless card) as well as the 2007 Garmin GPS 18 system($200) which I will hook up to my laptop via a USB cable. It seems silly to order a $2000 dollar GPS StreetSmart unit and subscibe to XM or Sirrius for $$ each month plus the $200 receiver when I can enjoy my music I already have. Anyone else done this, or have an idea about adapting?
    Thanks,

      Mac OS X (10.0.x)

The power isn't a issue. I hooked up a 100w inverter containing a USB port for power. Computer taken care of. Now I have found a Pioneer IP-Bus adapter with RCA jacks. Installed in aux. port on back of radio. Now hooked up to computer via a set of Monster audio jack to RCA cables when I drive, listening to my music on my computer thru the car stereo. Now waiting on Garmin GPS with USB connection that will drive via my 15" screen all my GPS directions, and audio output of directions via the car stereo. The GPS is about the diameter of a aluminum soda can. Portable too. Very happy now. Thanks for your interest.

  • After upgrade to IOS 7.1 car multimedia no longer loads list on connect

On my Toyota Prius before upgrading to 7.1 when I started my car it would detect my iPhone and the audio screen on the car would show either what was currently playing or if nothing was playing it would still show a browse button to let me choose something.  Since upgrading to 7.1 it still connects as before but there is no browse button.  I have to open music on my phone and select something to play.  Then it works as before.
I've tried removing the blue tooth device on both the phone and the car and rescanning but this doesn't help.

I've only one hint to you, cause I've mot on Mac-Server.
With 10.7 Apple have switched from Samba (maybe due to licence problems with GPL based stuff) to a own protocol called "XSMB"
This had caused problems with some NAS systems too.
Eventually someone have a glue to solve that, as several users have problems with SMB shares since that.
