PIPE Delta for 0RT_PA_TRAN_TOTALS

Hello!
I have a problem with activated delta queue for 0RT_PA_TRAN_TOTALS data source.
If i initialize delta "with data" - i have a error "Message no. R3011 - Update mode When Others is not supported by the extraction API". So, i initialized delta "with out data" (success).
In RSA7 i see data in queue
But in RSA7 i didn`t see data in queue 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL and 0RT_PA_TRAN_MOV_FIN, but i didn`t see data in 0RT_PA_TRAN_TOTALS delta.
Have anybody idea?

To extract data from 0RT_PA_TRAN_TOTALS first we have to activate it in RSA5.
Prerequiste:
The POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE) must be activated along with the DataSource using transaction RSA5.
After then you can charge the Init Delta without data transfer and delta charges. You may see then the queues in RSA7.

Not getting the data for delta for 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT in RSA3

Hi All
In RSA3, I am not able to extract the delta for the datasource ASSET_ATTR_TEXT. But when it is on full update then i am gettign the records, when i changed to "D" it is giving me the error 'Errors occurred during the extraction' and the error messege says
"Errors occurred during the extraction
Message no. RJ012
Diagnosis
During the extraction phase an error occurred for the extractor. An exception, 'error_passed_to_mess_handler' was triggered.
System Response
A more precise description of the error can be found in the log.
Procedure
Check the function module or the call from the extractor check program
Kindly provide some inputs on the same

hi Siggi,
I have checked Datasource in the ROOSOURCE Table for this datasource the DELTA IS - AIE. And do did the Init from the BW i got 8210 recods.Then i executed the Delta Pack. there was an error happend.
But When i loaded Delta i got the error as :
Diagnosis
         Not all the initialization requests have been completed yet for this
    DataSource, or there may be an incorrect initialization request.
System response
No delta requests can be processed whilst there is an initialization
    request that has not been completed.
Procedure                                                     Wait until the initialization request has finished, or delete the entry
    for the incorrect initialization request from the corresponding display
    in the Scheduler.

Delta For FIAP&AR

Dear BI Experts,
We have data loaded in FIAR & FIAP DSO and Cube from 2001 to Sep-2010(Full load)
Now the time to populate delta for both the cubes.
When onwards delta is required?One of my user saying only Sep-2010 period is open and all other periods closed, so populate the delta from SEP-2010 to 012.9999.
What i did populated delta from current quater i.e July-2010 to 012.9999. Is it right?
And my question is one customer taken material in 2009 and payed some amount in same month and remaining amount payed in sep-2010. That changes will come in current delta?
Becuase my delta populated from July-2010 not from 2009.
Please clarify.

How to initialize delta for a new data target

Hi
I have an ODS from which there are several other targets getting updated thru an export datasource. The delta initialization happend some 6 months back. I now have a new ODS into which i need to load the data from the original ODS. How can i initialise the delta to my new target without changing the delta initialization of the other targets and continue the delta for all of them together?
can i use the same initialization for my new target??
If i do a full update and then a initialise w/o data transfer, will the further delta bring the data from the correct point, is there a possiblity of data loss??

Hi Ajay,
the steps are as follows.
1 delete the initialization. open infopackage >> menu scheduler >> Initialization options for source systems >> delete the request thats there.
2. Now go to the Update tab of the infopack >> select option Initialize Delta process >> check the option initialize without Data transfer
3. Goto Schedule tab and start the job.
here the data targets will be all the targets the infopack loads.
4. Create a new infopack
5. goto Data targets tab >> select data targets >> put a check on your new ODS/Cube
6. Goto Update tab >> select the option Full update
7. goto menu Scheduler >> select Repair full request >> put a check on Indicate request as Repair Request >> hit OK
8. Goto schedule tab >> start the job.
9. Continue with the existing Delta infopack that was load the old ODS/Cubes and make sure your new ODS/Cube is also cheked for the delta.

Problem in delta for material master

Hi all,
We are using "0material_attr" as data source.Till now we were loading data for material using full update mode.
Now we want to change the update mode from delta update mode.
So we initialized update for material in BW using " initialize without data transfer " update mode. Now for testing i have changed couple of material in R/3 ... but nothing is getting extracted in BW.
then i checked in R/3 in "rsa6" there is tick for delta update and then i checked in rsa3 to simultate the delta process but its not allowing me to change from "F" to "D".
So how to proceed if i want move from full to delta for my material master data ??

if this is delta capable then make first full load and then init without data transfer and then changes some recopds in r/3 and load whether those records are coming in r/3 or not

Hi Venkat,
If you are using a Custom DataSource/Extractor the main problem is that you are collecting data from a lot of tables, so it is really difficult to determine a field for the delta.
If for you is important only a change at Key Fields Table (EKBE) you can set the Generic Delta only on a field of this table (Doc Number or Position Number - Date - Timestamp).
But if you are interested in all changes you have to determine a single field for every tables...
I think it is really difficult to find a delta in all these tables.
Maybe you can think to use in BW an ODS without Reporting BEx flag to determine Delta, and then introduce delta records in a Cube.

This is a simple menu for controlling the music player moc. I use moc version 2.5.0-alpha4 (found in the AUR) which has quite a few more features than 2.4.4 in [extra]. Still, this script should work fine with the moc in the official repos.

0.8.4 released, with the ability to add a random album/directory/song to the playlist, a feature which moc itself is missing. If zenity is installed, a dialog box pops up that allows you to add the specified number of random entries (e.g. 3 random albums). See the configuration file for details.

2LIS_02_ITM Delta for Cost Center Does Not Work

Experts,
I have activated 2LIS_02_ITM extractor and it extracts delta for PO Header and Item changes. However, when I change the 'Cost Center' or 'GL Account' assignments for a PO Item, system does not generate a delta. I have to make another change, e.g. text or something to bring the related change into BW.
Can someone please advise.

Hi Kartik,
Just ensure you run a job control first on that extractor.A job control would push data from R/3 queue to BW delta queue.Then check the BW Delta queue(RSA7).Then run the extract checker in Delta mode and check for the delta records. If everything goes fine you should find your delta records here.

if i want use time stamp & calday for my generic extraction , i can use uppercase and lower case, wher can i give timings suppose want run deltas for 10am-10.30am.

The timestamp that was read last is 12:00:00. Delta extraction begins at 12:30:00. The security interval for the upper limit is 120 seconds. The selection interval for the delta request is: 12:00:00 to 12:28:00. When the extraction is finished, the pointer is set to 12:28:00. Security interval lower limit The delta-relevant field is a timestamp. After images are transferred. In BI the record is overwritten with the post-change status, for example, for master data. Any duplicate data records do not affect BI. The last read timestamp is 12:28:00. Delta extraction begins at 13:00. The security interval for the lower limit is 180 seconds. The selection interval for the delta request is: 12:25:00 to 13:00:00. When the extraction is finished, the pointer is set to 13:00:00.

When you want to customize existing datasources at R/3 sides then you can do that with customer exits.
Suppose if you want to add a column to the existing datasource then you will use append structures (Transaction SBIW-> Edit Data sources - Enhance Datasource) then to fill the column you will write the code in these Exits.
There are 4 types of Exits available.Function Group (XRSA)

We also need to know AIA 3.1 MDM (PDH) PIP's were released for 11g FMW. AIA 2.5 MDM PIP's uses 10g AS (SOA 10g).
Edelivery doesn't have MDM PIPS listed for AIA 3.1 or under AIA 11g. It has foundation pack but not specific to MDM PIP for Product that I'm looking for.

BW - Delta for Master data not loading

Hello All,
I am not able to load delta for master data of vendor and material.
The initial load works fine but when I load delta it gives an error
" The extraction program does not support object 0vendor"
" ALE change pointers are not set up correctly"
Do i need to activate the change pointer in BD61. I was not sure so checking up with all experts.

Hi Ravi,
We faced the same problem as you for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and we solved it by the following steps,
1. Delete the previous Delta Init for the InfoObject
If you have access to R/3 Side you can follow the steps or you can follow the BW Steps
Goto RSA7 ->Select and Delete the Init for the InfoObject
From BW Side
InfoPackage-> Inti for Source System -> Select & Delete
2. Execute the Init InfoPackage for the InfoPackage again.
3. After successful completion, execute the delta InfoPackage.
We have have got resolved by doing these steps and it may help for your problem as well.

Generic delta for master data

Hi All,
I am trying to create a generic delta for master data "equipment" . table in SASP is "EQUI". I am choosing ALE delta . in that I have to provide table name and "changed doc object' . when I give "equi" as table name and "aedat" (changed on ) as "changed doc object' -
it is throwing error.
also when I tried for time satmp /calday delta , the delta doesnot work when changeed are done. don't know why?
Any idea what has to be given in these fields.

Hello,
TCDOB is a table where you need to maintain entries for Generic Detla.
Please goto SE16 : enter table name TCDOB
In the selection Screen Enter Object as EQUI and check the Number Of Entries..
I guess you need to maintain the number of fields on which the change is dependent for Detla ()
I treid creating the same Datasource Using Ale Detla
It worked and saved without errors :
i have the following entries in TCDOB table
OBJECT          TABNAME
EQUI            EQKT
EQUI            EQUI
EQUI            EQUZ
EQUI            FLEET
EQUI            ILOA
Please tell me your count and entries..
so that we can discuss this Further
Also if you find if there are no entries then you can Go to SCDO tcode and maintain entries with respect to change object.

We have applied the SAP Notes 501836 and 931998 in order to create the extractor mentioned above. In SAP note 501836 it mentions:
Note forSRM 4.0:
In SRM 4.0, the generic extraction also supports the delta update procedure. For you, this means that you can also use the delta update procedure for the extraction of the document flow.
Has anyone adopted or managed to make this extractor delta capable, if so could you please share how to achieve this.

Hi Rana,
There is no need for you to set any thing for delta.
As normal run the IP with init with data transfer and then next enable delta for the next load.
Check for the Below matter which explains how the delta is carried in the case of FI data sources.
Financial Accounting line items are read by extractors directly from the tables in SAP R/3. A time stamp on the line items serves to identify the status of the delta data. Time stamp intervals that have already been read are stored in a time stamp table. The delta dataset is transferred to BW directly, without records being transferred to the delta queue in SAP R/3 (extractor delta method).
The Financial Accounting line items are extracted from SAP R/3 in their most recent status (after-image delta method). This delta procedure is not suitable for filling InfoCubes in BW directly. Therefore, firstly, the line items must be loaded in the BW system in an ODS object that identifies the changes made to individual characteristics and key figures within a delta data record. Other data destinations (InfoCubes, ODS objects) can be provided with data from this ODS object.
