PIPE GET wait

Hi guys. We have database 10.2.0.2 on AIX 5.3 and are using some 3rd party program that contains encrypted packages.
Yesterday we stared having huge "PIPE GET" waits from sessions using some of those packages which are causing the program to run really slow.
Can you tell me what to do in case of these waits and where to look for problems? Is this application problem or db configuration one?
There is not much reference for this on the web.

I want to drill down 'pipe get' wait event (I know its idle ;) ) , what can I do with handle address provided by P1 from v$session_wait view ?
Is there any valuable info deep in x$ tables ?
My DB is 9.2.0.8 EE on Linux .

Get "Waiting for 127.0.0.1..." with some sites. No problem with Opera.

Firefox 3.6.13.
Tried loading www.cortondenham.com and get "Waiting for 127.0.0.1..." and hangs. Same with "talkingvillages.com". Both load OK with Opera. Tried commenting out "127.0.0.1 localhost" from Hosts file, same issue. Tried safe mode, same issue.

I am trying to run JSPs on OAS 4.0.8.1.
I have installed JSP patch, downloaded form olab.com
I am not able to execute JSPs. I am getting 2 different problems.
1. If I call the JSP directly from browser, Netscape will ask for save option, it won't execute.
2. If I call the JSP from another page with submit button, I am getting the following error :
The requested access method is not allowed for that object.
Same error for any JSP.
The same problem for all the samples available with JSP patch.

When server start, get "Waiting for another script to finish..." message and doesn't go anywhere.

Hello, my engineer (Japanese) is trying to start AdobeMediaServer but he got stuck after getting "Waiting for another script to finish..." message. Any idea how to resolve this situation?

Im having huge issues after updating to 12.1 on Win 8.1 x64. Choppy playback and so on.
Try this since it helps in most situtation :
Remove itunes but keep library files. Then download it again and install it.
Also most likely you will have to restore ipod touch. I restored my iPhone 5 to remove waiting for changes to apply and Error 54.
my iPad air still isnt restored (cant do it now) and it sometimes does same like iPhone waiting for changes to apply. And gives error 54 but sync DOES GET COMPLETED.
Also may sound stupid but try to use USB 2.0 Ports. Not 3.0. I have troubles when using 3.0

All off a sudden I get waiting for job status notification on a package that has worked for years

Does anyone else have this problem, the package in question is Adobe CS 5.5, this package as worked for years all of a sudden the OSD, gives
waiting for job status notification and hangs forever on the installation of Adobe CS 5.5
If I run the batch file manually that I am using in the SCCM package for Adobe CS 5.5
it works perfectly, but when part of an OSD I now get waiting for job status notification.
Any advice would be great.

Have 4S and when syncing with iTunes using WiFi I get waiting for change to be applied. But this seems to never end. I have waited for an hour and still getting message.

Have been attempting to sync my iPhone 4S with iTunes using WiFi. It appears to complete the 5 or 6 syncs, but then waiting for change to be applied comes up and it never completes the sync. Waiting for changes to be applied continues for every.

ALSO, on the iPod under Settings>General>iTunes Sync, you may need to back out of the "iTunes Wi-fi Sync," and reopen it to get it to update.
(I use iTunes 11.1.5.5)

Reports regarding the Database instance: how to get "Wait Bottlenecks"

I've created some reports as a "healthcheck" for our databases. I've went through the documentation
Oracle® Enterprise Manager Oracle Database and Database-Related Metric Reference Manual 10g Release 2 (10.2)

to figure out which metrics are possible to use. Most of my queries for the report look like

The target_type is always "oracle_database". In the example above I've used the metric_name "instance_efficiency" and found several useful metric-columns (e.g. pgacachehit_pct).
When I looked in the above mentioned documentation I've found the interesting chapter "4.56 Wait Bottlenecks". Under this chapter there are many metrics which would be pretty helpful
to show in a report. But when running the query

I get only these few records back:
avg_user_cpu_time_pct
host_cpu_usage_pct
other_wait_cnt

userio_wait_cnt
user_wait_time_pct
As a matter of fact not as much as in chapter "4.56 Wait Bottlenecks". Looks to me if not all of those metrics are really available in the MGMT$... views of the repository of the GridControl.
Is that correct or do I just look wrong?

Sync of iPad (1) to iTunes after iOS5 upgrade, getting "waiting for items to copy" message that hangs sync, lasts forever

I've seen this same problem in other posts, but the solutions seems suspect to me. People are seeing this on both Mac and Windows syncs. The "data" that is being sync'd seems to change for each person, and in fact is different each time I try. Sometimes it is "data" that is being sync'd, sometimes it is "Genius Data", sometimes something else. The common problem across platforms is that somewhere in the iPad sync process it gets "stuck" with the message "Waiting for items to copy". In my case, I ran this overnight -- for over 12 hours -- and the problem did not resolve.
Here is my situation: iPad1, just upgraded to iOS5. MacBook Pro just upgraded to 10.7.2. itunes 10.5. When I connect the iPad, iTunes does a synchronization automatically and seems to succeed up to the last step, in my case 8 of 8. Then, it "hangs" during synchronization. Sometimes it says it is Syncing Genius Data, sometimes it says something different. But, it always says "Waiting for items to copy" and then sits forever.
To terminate this I just eject the iPad and things seem to be working okay, but it is troublesome that the sync does not complete normally.

IT7, when changing options, get "Waiting on iPod", then not found.

I keep getting this wierd error when I try to change the options in IT7, I see the "Updating...", then a dialog pops up and says "waiting for ipod" then andother that it can't find it.
This also happens if I let it sit for a while with no activity.
iPod doesn't get "unmounted" from IT, it just can't seem to find it. I still see the iPod icon on the desktop.
Something iss definitly up with IT7...
Any suggestions?

It sounds like your iPod might be "stuck" in disk mode....try resetting the iPod:

Getting wait event "direct path write temp" during query execution

Hi All,
While executing one query in database, it is taking longer time and failing with error "ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 1280 in tablespace PSTEMP".
I have increaesd the Temp tablespace size also till 96GB, Database size is 120GB.
I have upgraded the database from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.3 version last month.
same query is running fine in other databases on same version.
It is giving me "Direct write temp path" wait event.
server load is also normal.
I have increased pga_aggregate_target upto 512MB but it has not solved my problem
Can you please help me out to solve this issue.

Getting "waiting for connection" message in Lightroom 5.5 sync to mobile

I have tried turning off and on the lightroom mobile sync and signing out and back in. Neither started the sync. What else can I try ?

I think your sync being stuck and the 'waiting for connection' message were two different issues and would advise you - if you get stuck again - or anyone else reading this thread that is stuck syncing and with the 'waiting for connection' to NOT use 'Delete All Data'
If you are seeing the 'waiting for connection' message and sync is working, ignore it as that bug just prevents properly showing the sync status but not the actual sync activity. We are working on trying to figure out why this gets stuck in this state - it appears to be network related - but we haven't found anything definitive yet.
If you are seeing the 'waiting for connection' message and you sync is stuck then please generate a diagnostic log (Preferences -> Lightroom Mobile -> (Hold Alt/Option key) and click 'Generate Diagnostic Log' and then private message that file to me and we can hopefully determine the real cause of the stuck sync and a workaround that will prevent you having to use the 'Delete All Data' hammer.

Get-Mailbox -resultsize unlimited |where{$_.forwardingAddress -ne $null} |ft name,forwardingAddress,DeliverToMailboxAndForward
for get-mailboxStatistics ,first check the all object member and properties of by using below
Get-mailboxstatistics <anymailboxName>|get-member
if you see the ,ForwardingAddress,DeliverToMailboxAndForward properties , then you can pipe these two with Get-mailboxstatistics .
If so ,
Get-Mailbox -resultsize unlimited |where{$_.forwardingAddress -ne $null} |get-MailboxStatistics |ft name,forwardingAddress,DeliverToMailboxAndForward,lastlogontime
if not ,
You can't pipe these two with Get-mailboxstatistics along with lastlogontime.
Then ,
you have to use get-mailboxStatistics -resultsize unlimited|ft name,lastlogontime
