Pipeline Performance Management
Do we need consistent settings from ECC to CRM for PPM configuration?
try setting this customazing...
Fiscal year variants for pipeline performance management (PPM) under Transactions > Settings for Opportunities > Pipeline Performance Management > Maintain Fiscal Year Variant .
The fiscal year variant that you would like to use to convert an existing quota plan based on the calendar year under Transactions >Settings for Opportunities >Pipeline Performance Management >Define Calendar >Year to Fiscal Variant Conversion .
Whether your PPM planning is based on the calendar year or a fiscal year under Transactions >Settings for Opportunities >Pipeline Performance Management >Define Planning Period Type .

Add custom fields to Pipeline Performance Management (PPM)
Hi experts,
I have to add new custom (z-)fields from Opportunity (crmd_opport_h) to Pipeline Performance Management.
Component PPM_OPPLIST, View OppListView.
How can I do that. I haven't found any Information about that yet.
Can anybody help me and describe how to do it.
Thanks and regards,
SebastianHi Ashok,
1. you have to create new Fields - e.g. the same fields like in crmd_orderadm_h - via AET (in SAP CRM 7.x).
2. Create an Append for Structure CRMT_PPM_OPP_RESULT_I with the same fields.
3. Display the fields in your View-Configuration of View PPM_OPPLIST/OppListView.
Best regards,

Pipeline Performance Management capability for Managers
I went through Kranti's PPM blog for "Improving Sales Pipeline Performance through Enhanced Visibility" and the 2 demo videos and have a couple of questions.
1. Roll-up: As a Sales Manager how would I know the roll-up of all Opportunities in the Pipeline of all Sales Reps that report up to me?
2. Adjust: How can I then adjust this combined Pipeline roll-up and submit it to my manager with my adjustments without changing the individual Opportunity's expected sales values? That would certanly be nice and very usefull, but I think that SAP didin't provide this functionality. You can see the total value of opportunities only on graph, but not under table as a separate row total. You also can't make subtotals, so in case that you want to see total values for 2 different organizational units or salesman, it's not possible. To see the total in graph for a certain org.unit, you would have to choose that specific org.unit under button "Choose unit" or create filters.
Maybe someone knows of other solution, but I think this is pretty much all that it is avalilable by SAP standard.

Expected Sales Volume in Pipeline Performance Management
Hello,
I have created a few opportunities for my sales team with the closing dates in a particular quarter and specified the values for 'Expected Sales Volume' maintained for each opportunity as required. However, when I view the peipeline performance management reports for that month/quarter, I do not see the expected sales volume in the graphs. The graphs in the reports show the expected sales volume as zero. I am not able to figure out why this is happening. Inputs would be appreciated.
Regards,
Aditya MishraThanks. However, in the Quota Planning page, I'm unable to edit the first row, i.e. the monthly distribution for the sales organization. The monthly distribution for the other rows i.e. the sales team members is editable by me. Could you please let me know how I can enter the values for the monthly distribution for the sales organization also?
Thanks,
Aditya Mishra -
Pipeline Performance Management Data
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is any way we could enhance the data that is displayed in the Pipeline Report. Currently it works by displaying either your own opportunities or your teams opportunities if you are a manager.
We have a requirement where some users are setup has a manager but we only want them to see their own opportunities. Does anyone know anyway that we would be able to achieve this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
David.Helllo
If you want to enhance any report that takes data from the Reporting Framework, you should consider [SAP Note 1527039|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1527039]

CRM 2007 as Standalone - No SAP BI - Configuring Pipeline performance mgt?
Hi,
We are going to use CRM 2007 as a standalone system, without any SAP BI integration. We would like to configure "Pipeline performance management" using SAP CRM only. Can anyone tell me if this is possible. Appreciate your help in this.
Regards,
Ramesh NallabelliHi Ramesh,
There is absolutely no requirement of integration with SAP BI for enabling Pipeline performance management. This is a new SAP CRM feature and works independently from BI.
For more information about the same you can visit the following link

Pipeline Peformance Management
I am trying to locate table where targets are being stored through pipeline performance management.
Pipeline Performance Management is anyway giving scenario of targets vs opportunities.I also want to link it with sales orders being created through follow-up of opportunities in crm and those sales orders created directly in ECC.Hence help me how can i explore this.
Final objective is report of Targets(CRM) vs opportunities(CRM) vs Sales orders(CRM+ECC).Data are stored in table CRMD_PPM_QP_KF.

Hello,
Im new to CRM. Can you plz let me know what is Pipeline Performance Tool? Its TCODE, base tables and how it iss related to BW
Thankss.PPM is based on existing SAP CRM processes. It uses the configuration settings for areas such as business partner, organizational management, authorization profiles, activity management, and opportunity management. So pipeline performance tool is not connected with BW and works independently within CRM. It alows you to analyse data derived from opportunities. There are 4 different tools:
u2022 Target to date
u2022 Closing date
u2022 Sales pipeline
u2022 Sales pipeline change
Target to date shows the total value of expected sales and sales targets in the sales pipeline up to the current date.
Closing date shows the expected sales volumes compared with the sales targets on a monthly and sales stage basis.
Sales pipeline shows the expected sales volume for each analysis stage compared to the actual sales volume.
Sales pipeline change displays all the opportunities in the sales pipeline that have changed.
If you have appropriate authorizations you may access other PPM settings. The main ones are Quota Planning Management and Opportunity Churn Rates Management. Other settings include those for the progress rate and speed status. You can define here the sales quotas for teams and employees for the next planning period.
Hope this helps. -
Pipeline Performance Configuration
Hi experts,
I working with pipeline performance and when I choose Pipeline Performance->Target to Date or Pipeline Performance ->Closing Date there is a graphic in the screen but the graphic has no values.
How can I activate this graphic?
Best regards,
Caíque EscalerHi Caique,
cross check the below points.
1. User should be a BP, assigned to org
2. if the BP assigned as Manager can see the transaction of other users assigned under, so you can some values in the graphics.
3.Maintain Targets in Quota planning
4. check Java updates in system.

Performance Management Objective Setting
Hi Everyone,
I am working on a full HCM implementation and had a few questions regarding performance management. The client is interested in having goals and objectives "cascade" through org. units and pre-load on Performance Appraisal templates.
In the phap_catalog, I have noticed a value determination named "ORG_OBJECTIVES" and it supposedly auto-fills goals set by managers for the performance review period.
Basically, I am looking for a productive/proper way to have goals flow from the overall organization, through lower level organizational units down to each and every employee.
For example: Company X has 3 overall goals -> Bob Smith works within Org. Unit Y in which there are 3 separate goals that refer to this Org. Unit -> and then Bob Smith has the ability to add 3 of his own goals for the year. Overall there would be 3 overall company goals, 3 org. unit goals (total of 6 that pre-fill) and 3 empty fields for Bob Smith to input his own goals.
Any help would be wonderful. Thank you for your time.Raghu,
Your response was extremely helpful.
Do you have any documentation or guidance on how I could create custom tables to use this BADI that you are talking about. Currently there is no plan for SEM, so I am going to have to take the route of custom tables utilizing the BADI that you mentioned. In terms of custom tables, creating them and using them, I only have a high level knowledge, so any documentation/guidance would be very helpful.

Performance Manager and Data Gatherer
Hello,
I am looking for some basic info (I think). I have been using the EM Console - standalone for some time now but would like to use the diagnostic pack and Performance Manager. Can this be used in a standalone configuration or do I need to buy Enterprise Manager? If it works in a standalone configuration and I do not need to buy it, could you point me in the direction of documentation on how to start the data gatherer on my 9i database on AIX 5?
Thanks,

CA Forum: Performance Management and Dashboards
you have to find the keyword to see...
i suggest you to uninstall businessobjects and install again(else it's very hard to add the performance management program).
while you install, check the install performance management also(you have to have the keyword). -
Replacimg performance Manager with SSM(SAP Strategy management)
Hi,
Can any body tell me how to migrate all the scorecards, KPIs based on Performance Manager to SAP Strategy Management. Is there is a tool for that in SSM if not should those be rebuilt in SSM from the scratch.
how do we replicate everything fromPM to SSM
From the developer perspective what will their tasks.
Edited by: chrisbaker1999 on Jun 16, 2011 1:01 PMChris,
What the External Data Loader does is to allow you to transfer your scorecard structure from Performance Manager to Strategy Management. What you are importing is the structure of Contexts, Perspectives, Objectives and KPI aspects. It allows you to put all of these in the loader, verify the structure in the loader, and then using Transport to bring into SSM.
There are additional definitions and settings that SSM requires that will have to be added after you Transport the loader's data.
You will still have to build PAS models separately, because the External Data Loader does not build models.
The Transporter tool in SSM allows you to export (and then import) your scorecard metadata from DEV to PROD. Moving between systems is a two-step process, and Transporter is step one. PAS is separate (step two) and you make a dump of the model in your DEV system, take that dump file from the Home directory in DEV and move it to the Home directory in PROD. In the PROD system you create a new PAS model frame and then load that dump into the new framework.
Each SAP customer has a super-administrator that can add users to the SAP Service Marketplace. Find out who your super-admin is and get yourself added to allow you access to those areas on Service Marketplace.

Bob
