Pivot chart vertical axis label show percentage

Hi All,
I have a pivot chart showing percentage of the row. the vertical axis label can only show 0, 1, 2; I change it to specify value with 'Minimum' 0 and 'Maximum' 1.
Wondering how to show vertical axis label with minimum 0% and maximum 100%, instead of 0 and 1.

Hi lets try once like this,
In Pivot table go to edit view-Position-Graph only-Edit graph properties-click on scale tab-Axis Limits-in drop down list select specify. Here u can select minimum and maximum scale.

Labview Intensity Graph Vertical Axis Label

When I change the font of the vertical axis label of a Labview intensity graph, the label disappears. Is this a Labview bug or is there a way to correct the problem?

PS - of course, when you're editing the free label, it doesn't have those nasty affects, and if you group the objects (see the Free Label and Grouping screenshot) it behaves (at least cosmetically) much like a native graph label

BarChart vertical axis label - possible to control width?

Is there a way to control/force the width for the vertical axis labels so that a label stays readable?
Currently my labels are short sentences that get resized down to an illegible font size while the bars (series) stay quite large.
It would be ok for the bars (series) to be squashed so that the labels stay readable.
I have been searching for a couple of hours but cannot find a way to do this. Specifying a fontSize="xx" on the <mx:AxisRenderer> for the vertical axis seems to have no effect (nor does specifying the font size in the CSS). I have also tried setting "minWidth" and "width" to no avail...

Well by chance I found this forum posting through a search engine query:

It explains that you need to set the gutter style properties to accomodate longer lines of text. In this case,
gutter-left:400;
in the BarChart style did it for me.
It would be nice if an axis label could be wrapped onto two or more lines if needed but the solution above works for now...

Showing one data point on a line chart - X-axis label placed away from its actual position

Hi Guys,
     In line chart, i used CircleItemRenderer to show single data point. It shows correctly if it is single data point. But the x-axis label placed away from its actual position. Right now it displayed left most position where the line chart starts. I need to move that label straight of that datapoint where it plotted. Please see the screen shot attached with this post.
In screen shot, x-axis label "Jan" displayed in left most position.
     And how can we show the datatip for single datapoint. At present, we can't able to see the datatips also with single datapoint.
     Can any body help me to fix those two issues.

I figured out a way to customize a single datapoint in a line series. The solution is at this link:

Vertical axis labels on column chart

I'm trying to get the x-axis labels oriented vertically on a 3D column chart, so that the labels don't overlap each other. With 2D column charts I can do this via "format>chart>format x-axis" but these options are grayed out with the 3D column chart. Is there any way to get vertical orientation on the axis labels with this chart type???

It's usually not necessary to make the axis labels vertical to keep them from overlapping in a 3D chart since when you rotate the chart the labels are vertically offset. But you're right, there's no other control for this.

Pivot Chart X-Axis Values

Hi
I generated one report using pivot char. In pivot chart row page i added datetime and time field.
In my chart x axis should be display time label only. But values should be group by Date.
How to set x axis time value only in my chart.
If i removed date from row page the value will be wrong.

Hi,
You can retain both the datetime and time field so that your group by date option doesnt get effected.
When it comes to display..To have only time value in the X axis heading as well as Scale labels. Please follow the following steps.
1. Heading: Pivot table View : Axis titles and labels : Change the title
2. Scale Labels: Pivot table View : Axis titles and labels : Labels : Format : Truncate : 6.
By Truncating the labels. You may get two dots in the end of each label. But hope this may help you.

Power View SharePoint - Y axis not show percentage

I am using a line chart. The Y axis is showing decimal (0.95) instead of percentage (95%). Is this a bug? I notice it will display % if i pick a matrix table instead.

Assuming that the data is coming from an SSAS Multidimensional or Tabular model it's still possible that the measure hasn't been explicitly defined as returning a % value. Otherwise this does look like a bug. You can report it to the SQL Server team using
this link. You'll need to create a Microsoft Connect account if you don't already have one.

Line Charts - X-axis Labels as function of X-axis value

Hi,
1) Is there a way to put X-Axis labels in line chart as function of X-axis values ?
For instance, X-axis values are in minutes and I need to show those as Hours.
I'm having Hours as separate column as well, but when its selected as X-axis value column, the line graph is disturbed.
2) Also, how to specify the length/range of X-axis ?
For instance, in dataset if I've x-axis values from 0 to 5 hours but still want to show on graph the X-axis till 8 hours.

I have tried following things with proper datetime format may be help you.
1> in your applet code you can add below param
<PARAM NAME="XAxisDateFormat" VALUE="H">
it will display your levels in hours for more details please refer Date and Time Format under query template in MII help.
2>In your Query template under date range you can select duration and duration unit.
for 8 hour span you can select Duration = 8 and in duration unit = H
I have tested it for a tag query, may be i did not understand your issue properly but hope it helps you!!!

Hi Warwick,
Have you checked on the 'Direction' setting under Edit Chart -> Category Axis -> Line -> Text Properties -> Direction. Does it show 'Below' by any chance? You may set it to 'Diagonal Up'/'Diagonal Down' such that the labels consume less space & all are made visible.
OR
If you wish to hide consecutive labels, plz. set the 'Category Gap' setting to the required interval under Edit Chart -> Category Axis -> Line properties.

Display Column Chart Y Axis Labels in Kilo(K), Million(M)...

Hi Folks,
I would like to display the Y-axis labels of a column chart in Kilo, Millions etc. I used the below mentioned formula in excel for that set of data. Here is the formula [>=1000000]0,,"M";[>=1000]0,"K";0
Though in embedded excel it displays the values as desired, when I assign them to the column chart in Xcelsius the Y axis labels are not as expected. For Kilo it works fine but when it comes to millions it is not displaying accordingly. Any help is appreciated.

If You want to display the Y Axis Labels like Kilo(k),Million(M),Billions(B)...etc.Do the following things ,
goto column chart properties->behaviour->scale in that Enable the Fixed Label size checkbox.

Line chart x-axis label overloaded with labels

Hi,
I have a Line chart filled by a large resultset (hundreds of rows). Each row contains a decimal value and a timestamp. The interval between timestamps is short so it is impossible to plot every single date/time in the x-axis label because there is no space.
I would like to hide the the x-axis label for most rows and plot this label for each x rows. Something like this:
18/12/2009 09:00            18/12/2009 10:00           18/12/2009 11:00            18/12/2009 12:00
        |---------------------------|---------------------------|---------------------------|
In the previous x-axis example there are many timestamps between 18/12/2009 09:00 and 18/12/2009 10:00 but they are not plotted in the chart. It is possible to do something like this in MII charts?

I think Michael is right about the Ticks per label parameter. Looks like it is not working for me because the chart data binding is not behaving as expected.
The chart rowset is composed by two fields: decimal and date time. The date time field is already converted to string. The rowset comes from a BLS transaction.

As you can see the chart has no X-Axis labels ans I need to add the date/time to the X-axis. If I add the field to "X-Axis label columns" the field values are ploted but the parameter "Ticks per label" is ignored and hundreds of labels are ploted together and is impossible to read them. I think the "Ticks per label" parameter only works for fields added to Labels columns (in data mapping). The problem I am facing is: when I add the date field (http://www.vetta-group.com:8080/imgs/data_mapping2.PNG) to Label columns I get an empty chart like this: http://www.vetta-group.com:8080/imgs/chart2.PNG

Flex Column Chart X-axis Label position

Hello,
I have a Column Chart and am wanting to align the X-axis labels on top of each Column. Is there a way to achieve this?
Can we change the label's default position? I know there is a "rotation" property which rotates the labels but i want to change the label postion.
Any help/pointers is highly appreciated.

Been diging throught he charts source to figure out if there is a way of doing what I wanted, and appartntly there is (well - for the most part). For anyone else interested there is a property called alignLabelsToInterval for the LinearAxis class. This is not documented but it is a public variable - in the code ( http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/charts/src/m x/charts/LinearAxis.as ):

OBIEE 10g Drill Down Chart From Axis Label

Hello All
Does any one know if OBIEE 10g can drill down values in a chart by clicking the axis labels of the charts.
In other words, if there was a bar chart with two bars, one for May and one for June, could a user click on the label 'May' or 'June' to drill down in the chart or can OBIEE only drill charts by clicking on the actual bar in the chart?

In 11g chart navigations have changed.They are now moved to the criteria level and are therefore not available in results view.In your case, navigate to the criteria ->interaction tab and add the target as action link.

Charting: vertical axis position

Hi!
I need to manually position the vertical axis along the chart by setting the verticalAxisRenderer.x value.
If I do that, it seem like chart compoenent automatically correncts the axis to be on the left side.
Any ideas?

I was playing arround for a few hours and so far I have came to the following solution which looks promising so far:
I created a custom axis renderer which extends AxisRenderer. Then I tricked the chart component that it cannot set the x value of the axisRenderer.
So.. if anyone come the the same problem in the future, this might be a solution.

Showing Percentages on an axis in discoverer

Hi all
I am using Discoverer to show some percentages on screen. When i put the percentages into a graph though the axis shows the values as being 0.00, 0.10, 0.20, etc.
I'm probably missing something really obvious, but could some one possibly tell me how i can show the axis labels as percentages rather than decimals.

First: You mention burning other than a CD from Elements. This is the Photoshop Elements forum rather than Premier Elements. Photoshop Elements can't burn DVDs or Blu-ray so you may have the wrong forum.
That aside I've just begun burning slide shows using Nero 7 software and 16:9 aspect ratio versions of my favorite PE3 photographs. Playing the DVD on a standard, progressive DVD player on a 2003 Sony XBR 1020i 34 inch CRT is nothing short of spectacular. They're playing at 720p (I think) but I can't really see much difference from cable 1020i. The player does not up convert.
If your Panasonic gives good results with standard DVD movies and you already have a burner I'd give it a try.
