Pix Place conversion to the Cloud. It would be nice if it worked!!!

I keep getting texts telling me to convert my Pix Place to the Cloud. I go to the page Verizon sent me the link to and all it does is sit trying to load.

Lets get those pictures transferred with you right now so you know they are safe and sound! Please visit http://picture.vzw.com/pub/gallery.do and then click on "Send a Message" to get the pop up prompt to log in. Once you're all logged in another pop up will give you the option to either "Visit Verizon Cloud" or "Download Content." You are more than welcome to try either one, but if moving your pictures over from Pix Place to the Cloud didn't work I highly recommend downloading them to your computer so you've got a physical copy of those precious momements.

Most of us in this forum are users who volunteer on technical issues, and not Adobe employees although they do drop in from time to time. As users we simply have no control over activation and that's why you are not getting responses.
If you havn't done so,you might try the Muse forums and see if you can get a staff member to look into it. Have your case numbers and phone transcripts handy.
Last option is to keep calling customer service until you get someone who will help or ask for a supervisor.

When I place photos on the cloud to share with friends, the photo IDinformation I have entered with the photo does not transfer. Is there a way to have the text follow the photo in the cloud?

When I place an Aperture photo on the cloud to share with friends, the idenfifcation information I have entered for the photo does not transfer to the cloud and thus my friends get only the photo. Is there a setting I am missing that would allow the text to go along with the photograph?

The photo stream will transfer the EXIF information set by the camera and the filname/version name. Try to get any information you want to transfer into the filename by batch changing the filename with "write to master" enabled. Aloso, you can set a comment, when sharing the image to the Photo Stream.

Home Sharing does more than just music, it will let you have access to Movies, TV shows and apps to either be streamed or copied between computers. If you want to control your iTunes library from your iPhone and use the Remote app, Home Sharing is required for that.

I just changed devices - and my photos are gone - I think they are backed up on the cloud - how would I know

I recently changed devices - my old device had 1200 photo's on it and I believe it was backed up to the cloud. My old device now has 0 photo's on it and I can't seem to restore to it. Help.

While I was waiting I tripped over an old question on the icloud community about restoring an iPhone 4 from the cloud. I could see that the bulk of my 5gb was backup and surmised that most was photos - so as the iPhone 4 question stated the phone needed to be reset and then restored from the cloud. Doing this, allows you to see the different backups that went to the cloud and dates. The concept was from the old IOS - (this is for iOS version 8.1) Tap Settings > General > Reset > all content and settings . Once done, restore from your cloud backup.
I want to back this phone up to the computer one last time with the photos sent to the cloud - and then wipe it again and set it up as a spare.
So you see, your answer was mostly correct - Wipe and restore from the cloud. The photo's are downloading as I write this and I believe I am still in the 30 window for camera roll.as well.

I was expecting HTMLDB 2.0 today, any update from the dev's would be nice

We will release HTML DB 2.0 "before OpenWorld". It could be as early as next week, but definitely before 17-SEP.
Nothing in that post claimed it would be released on Monday. As someone pointed out earlier - would you rather Oracle release a product that is either defective or not tested enough for the sake of releasing it?
Like I said before - NOTHING you do in 1.6 will be a waste of time - especially in the Application Builder. Also, anything you do in 1.6 can be seamlessly upgraded to 2.0. I just dusted off some old 1.5-era applications on htmldb.oracle.com - which is not 2.0, of course - and they worked just fine.
Also, keep in mind that this Forum is one of the most open channels into Oracle development. Looking at Oracle and other companies, I have not seen the level of support that the HTML DB team provides elsewhere. They do their best to disseminate information, but this is a busy time, as OpenWorld is just around the corner, and trust me - there is a ton of work that needs to be done before that event!
As far as htmldb.oracle.com, I don't have the up-to-date information anymore, but a couple weeks ago, that server was simply getting maxed out at the OS level with over 10,000 active workspaces. I'm sure they will get around to approving your account as soon as they can.

Hmm, the iPod HiFi is made by Apple correct?
I can connect my 5G iPod to the adapter cable that goes between the dock connector on the bottom of the iPod to the AUX input on my car stereo and listen to the music.
HOWEVER, if I connect the adapter cable to the dock connector on the bottom of the iPhone, then I DON'T get the music output. I've been told that this is because Apple has disabled the audio out of the connector.
So, the HiFi connector must pull the audio from a different set of pins.
I guess we need to compare the pinouts of the iPod and the iPhone along with the HiFi connector pinout.

Lost connection with the cloud

Curious, if my StorSimple solution loses internet connection and cannot communicate with the cloud, what would the expected behavior be? Will my volumes go offline or will I still have use of my local data? What happens if a cloud snapshot is in progress?

The StorSimple device tiers old data from the local tiers to Azure. If the device loses connection with Azure, the data on the local disks is accessible to hosts. However, if a block of data which is present on the cloud is requested by the host,
the device retries getting the data. If the data cannot be retrieved within 4 minutes, the volume/lun will be put in an offline state. If the connection is established within the 4 minute period, the data is fetched from Azure and served to the
host.
If a cloud snapshot is in progress the job keeps trying to send the data to Azure and if there is a prolonged outage, the job will be cancelled after 4 hours.

I am having trouble downloading a previously purchased movie from the Cloud.

The movie in question is "The Mist." I have purchased a lot of movies from iTunes lately, and to save room on my Mac, I have moved all the movie files onto a portable hard drive and simply deleted them from my Mac. Thus, whenever I want to watch a movie, I just transfer it from my hard drive back onto my Mac no problem, and watch the movie. Somehow, "The Mist" got deleted from my hard drive, so I figured "No worries, I'll just download it from the Cloud and get the file back. I've done it before!"
iTunes does this frustrating thing where even if you delete the video file from your computer, the movie thumbnail still shows up in your movies library, and I guess the Cloud considers this as you still having the movie on your computer, because when I went to my purchase history, it said the movie was already downloaded on my computer, when in fact it was not (it also said this for all my other movies, which are not on my computer but on my PHD). Only after I deleted the thumbnail for the movie did it show up under "Not on this computer" and allow me to hit the download button. Then I get this message saying "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 80 days." It will not let me download my previously purchased movie!
I have already tried logging out and back in again, that did nothing. Do I seriously have to wait 90 days to redownload my movie again? Like, is that a thing? What if you have a hard drive wipe, and have to redownload everything from the Cloud again; would you seriously only be able to redownload all your movies in 90 day incriments? What if I need to redownload multiple purchased movies at once, do I have to wait 90 days in between each one?
Am I the only one having this problem? If so, any help would be appreciated.
If this is not a "problem" and merely a "thing" iTunes does for security reasons, then this is a complaint. I have legally purchased this movie under the same account that I'm currently trying to redownload it through, I find it ridiculous that I should have to wait 90 days; you don't have to wait this long for downloading multiple apps/songs/books. Alternatively, trying to redownload the movie from its store page on iTunes is not an option, because as far as I can tell, iTunes does not let you redownload already purchased movies from their store page, as with apps/songs/books. If you try to re-purchase a movie, in the hopes that it will simply let you download it for free, seeing as how you've ALREADY purchased it, instead it'll gladly charge you again for movie. So no, I am not willing to purchase the movie again, I would just like to re-download it from the Cloud as I've done with other movies before it. I don't know what makes this one different.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/

Ipod won't sync for the first time ever. I am also seeing the cloud for the first time. Help.

Windows 7 operating system. Ipod classic.
Added new content tonight (audio book discs - have done dozens of times before). Went to sync. Nothing doing. Tried two different cables. Noticed that what I added was put in the cloud. I had never seen the cloud before. I cannot get back to the regular library.
Usually when I sync, content on my device that is no longer in the library (in this case the cloud, I gues) is also deleted from the device. That isn't happening. I don't think things are syncing at all.
It would seem to me that it would not be the cloud that would sync, but the regular library, which I cannot seem to access.
Help

I have tried the suggestion to reset the sync log to no avail. Anyone have another idea? This just started after I downloaded 4.3.5.

This is not an app compatibility question and does not appear to be a development question.
If an app backs up data / saved states to the cloud I would expect that most app developers would list that as a feature on their apps description page...

HT201272 I am having trouble finding audiobooks that I have purchased in the Cloud.

I am having a hard time locating the audiobooks that I have pruchased on the Cloud, I would like to upload them on to different devices and they don't appear in the the books section.

Here are a couple of things:
Frame 0: the pane properties are saved with the file, so once they are set you never need to set them again. Delete the property node and associated constants.
Frame 1:
Shouldn't "Serial#" be a control (and an integer)? You do a complex song and dance to add leading zeroes. Simply format your serial number with format "%04d"
Shouldn't "Operator" be a control?
Frame 2: That loop needs a small wait statement. Since STOP is always true when the loop ends, the later case structure seems unneeded.
Frame 3:
the STOP function seems unneeded. the VI will stop anyway since there is no code left.
never use default tunnels for references.
All your error outputs are "disconnected" and write to the same indicator. Mist likely you'll loose intermediary errors.
Overall, you should use a state machine architecture instead of sequences. It will be much more flexible and will take even less diagram space. The indicators can be outside the state case, so all states can write to them. No locals needed.

I cloud is not a streaming service. It is simply a storage locker. So before you leave, download the music you are going to want to listen to onto your pad.

After installinf ios6 I lost all contacts, I could not get them back so I hit restore. This restored the phone to 4 months back. The phone did not give me the option to restore from the cloud. is there anyway I can now restore from the cloud?

How many backups are in the cloud? When I installed ios6 it backed up to the cloud, since then I restored the phone trying to regain my contacts. At this point the used the last backup I performed on the computer 5 months ago. I never had the oppertunity to restore from the cloud. Is there anyway I can now restoe from the cloud and would it have the backup that was performed when I installed ios6?

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your phone. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
