Pixalation when deploying to iPad 2 using Flash cs5.5 trial downloaded 15 days ago

Hi All
We are looking to use flash to create iOS apps, so we have downloaded the latest version of flash, but when testing on the iPad we see pixalation, is there a later version of cs5.5 or an update that will fix this issue?
Or is there a setting beside the setting Resolution set to High...
I did read somewhere about AIR3 is going to better renderring for 3D, but will it be for the iPad and also what about 2D rendering, I mean it is vectors aand I thought they did not pixelate.

According to your description, my understanding is when you deploy the SharePoint solution, the deploy status stuck on the deploying status.
To resolve this issue, I suggest you can do as the followings:
1. On any server, start, run, services.msc, enter, this will open the services console.
2. Now type s, this will give you all the services that start with S, look for SharePoint timer service and make sure it’s in started mode.
3. This service should be started on all the front ends as well as application server.

Print in A4 size paper through AS3 using Flash CS5

Is any idea to print a job in A4 paper size by defult through AS3 using Flash CS5?

It works fine when I choose Standard Device type EPLQ550
But EPLQ550 is probably not supporting Arabic text. It Gives ########
Thats why I changed to Standard Device type ARSWIN
Now Arabic text looks ok..... but Printer is not getting initialised after the first check. it skps.

Creating universal app using flash cs5

Hi,
I'm using Flash CS5 and I wanted to create an universal app (iphone + ipad).
Then I click the "iphone IOS settings" there is no device menu, so I can't choose the desired devices..
I dont know why the device menu has disappeared?
I saw on several video tutorials, that you can simply choose the desired device.
But then I look at my own project and I click the "iphone IOS settings", I cant find any "device" menu by the "general" tab.
Does anybody know how I can resolve that problem?

A strange phenomena using Flash CS5

I've just found an item that I want Adobe to fix.
As you know there are three buttons related to the comments on the top of the script window.
They are .... [/*] [//] [(red)X]
I've found a strange phenomena using Flash CS5.
Note : In the following article, I'll write <tab> to mean tab.
Imagine that you typed this script below.
<tab>var AA:int = 10;
<tab>/* Commeent: AA is a number for a counter */
<tab>AA = AA + 1;
When you clicked [//], the script would change to ...
//<tab>var AA:int = 10;
//<tab>/* Commeent: AA is a number for a counter */
//<tab>AA = AA + 1;
After that, if you click [(red)X] to remove the // marks, the script changes to ....
<tab>var AA:int = 10;
<tab>Commeent: AA is a number for a counter
<tab>AA = AA + 1;
Yeah, /* */ mark has gone!
So be careful to click [(red)X] button when you sellect a long range of the script.

It sounds to me like the redX button is doing what it is supposed to, remove comment markings. If you would like Adobe to consider changing how it works, you should report it to Adobe using the link below. Posting here is just telling the rest of the users in these user-to-user forums.

This sounds like an international issue? Although I can not see why? I brought my phone in Australia and operating it in Indonesia, I have the same issues.... Otherwise Siri works fine, even texting (SMS) to local numbers siri works well, but dialing local number it just wont work...! I will try using my Australian SIM card and see if that is the reason.. I tried changing the number in the contacts and took out the international prefix, I turned the international assist on and off still nothing.. How frustrating. I called apple, the technican had know idea and we to his supervisor, had to wait fro 40 miuntes and then I hung up..
PLEASE HELP..!

IPad Development Question - Flash CS5

My friends and I were thinking about creating a few games for the iPad. With Flash CS5, there is an option to publish to iOS. With the conflict between Apple and Adobe... If we create a game in Flash and publish it to iOS, would Apple allow it in their App Store?

If you got the Unlocked message it means it was successfully unlocked by AT&T. Apple will not relock or block it. They have no objections to it being used on T-Mobile. It is still under warrantee. Take to an Apple store. They can test it with a SIM from AT&T. If that doesn't work have them replace the phone. Have them verify that the new phone is unlocked. If it does work with the AT&T card then it is a T_Mobile problem.

Can't download Flash CS5 with Akamai Download Manager!!

I'm working at a company which has high security environment.
Akamai Download Manager starts to download a trial Flash CS5. However, it stops quickly and downloads nothing (zero byte).
I want to download a trial Flash CS5 without Akamai Download Manager!!
Is there other ways?

If you can't find it in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

It sounds to me like you're trying to open a PDF via one of the Acrobat online services, not via Acrobat. Did you install the file that you downloaded after you signed up? Once you do, Acrobat will be installed on your computer, and you can run it locally (you don't access an Acrobat Pro subscription via the web--it works just like a version of Acrobat that you might purchase from the Adobe Store, or a large retailer).
Then, you'll open the Acrobat application from your desktop and choose File > Open to open your PDF file.

IPad apps using Flash

Hi - Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. My question is - Can iPad and iPhone apps be created solely with Flash alone (inclusive of tilting and touchscreen features) and submitted to the iTunes store? I have used Flash quite sparsely since Flash 8 so haven't really followed the debate around Flash and Apple devices.
I'm working on an App for iPad along the lines of a children's interactive book. I'm a trained Illustrator and don't think it would take me long to get up to speed again with Flash, however if Apps absloutely require coding in Apple's SDK then I have the problem of finding or paying someone to make an App from my work (otherwise, I can manage the whole project myself).
...and if it is possible to create Apps entirely within Flash - does anyone know of a good starting place for tutorials specifically for this?

To just be complete, yes you can complete an app using Flash Pro or Flash Builder plus the proper credentials.
I prefer Flash Builder as it offers profiling tools that really help keep memory managed. I do not have CS6 but I know CS5.5 does not have a memory profiler. Although with a PITA amount of hacky work you can use instruments in XCode to profile. A great majority of your time developing apps will be finding ways to keep both memory, processor, network traffic and CPU to an absolute optimized minimum.
You mentioned iOS so the first thing you should do is go pay $99/yr and become an Apple Developer. Otherwise you cannot submit your app or even test on a device without a lot of complicated mayhem. It takes a little time to get set up as a developer so I'd get that process under way. If you're an individual it's easier but if you're a company it involves proving you're a company, faxing, etc.
After you wade through the iOS provisioning portal (reading all the how-to tabs) you get your app set up in the back end. Any app needs 3 files generated and obtained from files the portal gives you. You add devices, app ids and use those to generate a .mobileprovision file. Typically a person would start at the certificate portion but let me save you a headache. Every new app ID you make is saved in your certificate so you need to make the app ID first. Then you create your own development or distribution certificate for your developer account and download a .cer certificate file. You install that in your computer along with the Apple WWDC developer certificate that's linked on the same page. That lets you create yourself a .p12 file needed to sign an app and since you did this last it will already have the new app ID in it.
Now you have your .mobileprovision with your device listed in it and .p12 file with password and you're ready to go.
Just open Flash CS5.5 or CS6, whichever you have, start a new AIR for iOS project. Work in Flash as you normally would but just remember iPhones, iPods and iPads are really just "glorified phones". You can't just animate the way you used to, you have to get used to the idea that running your slick animation on your computer runs great but these devices are EXTREMELY memory and processor deficient. What runs buttery smooth on your computer will bog and run like a train wreck on what will end up feeling like a solar powered calculator.
Now you're off and running. As long as you're very careful with how much RAM, CPU and GPU you try to use you'll be fine. A book is a good app to start with. Limited animation and you could possibly even use the timeline to do it. Timeline animation ala traditional flash performs considerably worse as compared to code animation. If you haven't used flash since version 8 you've got a whole new language (AS3) and framework (AIR) to learn.
If you have any specific questions, fire away, but yes you can create the entire iOS app that works like a book using just Flash Pro and having an Apple Developer account.

Stop(); not working when exporting AIR for iOS from Flash CS5.5

Hey there I've tried to do a simple 5 frame animation in Flash CS5.5 each with a stop(); action but when viewed on the iPad the aniamtion doesnt stop, it cycle through the 5 frames instead of stopping at frame 1.
Any reason why that is happening?

Looks like it was a memory problem with the jvm.ini file.
Pumped it up to 256 and it works now.

Image not loading in TLFTextField and TextFlow (Using Flash CS5)

Hi,
I am using TLFTextField and TextFlow both in my application. Its a chatting application in which I need to show smileys. For this I use these components.

Problem:
1. When I load image at runtime the image does not shows in components.
2. When I import these images in Flash and convert it into movieclips the it loads in the textfield where user type the text, but it does not show up in the chat text area.
Show text in user text chatarea:
The code is written on Layer "Frame Actions" Frame 41 Function "showUserMessage". In this function it is showing the typed text in the user chat area.
User typing text:
The code is written on Layer "Generic Actions" Frame 11 Function "sendChatText". In this function it is picking text from user type text field.
The textfields are located on Layer "TLFTextFields".
The smileys that I am using are gif images(animated). I try loading images into flash and by calling from relative/absolute URL.
Please help me solving this problem. My project deadline is coming close .

sendChatText() function removes the TextFlow and p tags from the tlfMarkup output.
I converted the animated smiley to movieclips, here in the above response you can see the source of img tag is a movieclip class.
