What I had installed was CS4 Desin Premium on Win7 64 bit. Pixel bender seems to be installed, but nothing happens when I launch and it doesn't show in Photoshop 32 or 64...

... .... So far I have downloaded twice, to two different folders (Desktop and my default download folder). Neither option has worked. Please help! I'd like to download Premiere Elements 11, but with this kind of installation problem on PSE11, it seems a second program may be as much of a problem to try to install.

As Mylenium has stated all we have is a very general error message at this point so it is impossible to advise you until we have additional details. After Effects did not install with the rest of CS4

I purchased the Student Edition of CS4 Production Premium. When I ran the installer I selected "custom" and AE was unchecked and it would not let me check it. I did regular install and it did not install AE. I used all 4 discs in the box. Any thoughts?

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but check to make sure that you have Rosetta installed in Mac OS and then try again to install After Effects. I know that Mac OS has a (mistaken) dependency on Rosetta for After Effects to run. It _may_ be that this dependency also causes a problem with installation.

When you do get After Effects CS4 installed, be sure to immediately update to After Effects CS4 (9.0.2).

HELP: QAdministrator Did Not Install With FCS

I recently installed and setup Final Cut Studio Upgrade for a customer and all apps seem to be working great. However, when I went to set up the distributed processing, Apple QAdministrator was nowhere to be found. The entire install was done from the FCS Installer, entered in the old passwords and put in the discs as FCS requested. When done, the installer said installation was successful.
When I check Preferences, Apple Qmaster is there. I just can't find Apple QAdministrator in the Applications folder. I even use Spotlight to try and find it with no success.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the QAdministrator install pkg so I can get the distributed processing working?

Although I did not figure out why QAdmin did not install initially (neither did the QMaster app), I re-ran the installer from the FCPS install disc and now both apps are in the Applications folder.

Installing DW CS5 on my new laptop running 8.1. Error message " Installer failed to initialize"

After the CD install failed with the "Installer failed to initialize" ewrror I contacted support and they gave me a download link... same error message.

That's strange, Are you checking at the below location ?
Windows 7 and Windows 8 : \Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Temp
Run the installer again, and after error prompt, please collect the logs from TEMP folder(location stated above) and share.

download both files, don't manually extract the 7z and click or double click the exe.

Pixel Bender is NOT installing Please help!

I have The Creative Suite Version 5.5, which includes Photoshop CS 5.1. I'm trying to install the Pixel Bender Plugin for Photoshop CS5.1. I run at x64 bit and I'm attempting to install the correct plugin version. However, when I double click on the MXP file it opens up Adobe Extensions Manager 5.5 and goes through the process to install the plugin, when finished, the plugin isn't listed on the Extensions Manager. I don't get a error or any kind. The plugin simply doesn't show up. I have restarted my computer, downloaded the latest version of Adobe Air and Flash Player. I have repaired permissions on my computer. I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm Running a Mac with Lion. Thank you in advance.

I spent all day yesterday trying to install PB into my PS5, and it will not work. Then I got smart and started to search the forums, and it has been DISCONTINUED! This means that you cannot get it to work.
Though I did see someone say that you can get PB into PS3. Which I still have, so we are awaiting to see if anyone on those forums has any info on that.
Oil Paint, which is the one filter in PB that we all want, has been put into PS6 as an included filter. But we are awaiting some of our classmates who have already updated to PS6, to tell us if they like it. I wont upgrade to the new version yet.
I realize that this forum has not been added to for a year, but hope my answer helps those of us who are really interested in Oil Paint.

Pixel Bender will not install

I downloaded Pixel Bender and have tried both auto and manual install into my
Photoshop 5> Extension Manager, but it keeps telling me that it cannot install
into my 32 bit Photoshop 5 PC program. Also installed Adobe Air in case I needed
it.
Message I keep getting is...
"Extension can not be installed, it requires 32 bit or 64bit Photoshop ver5 or later"
What could I be doing wrong for it to not install?
I've got plenty of memory and disk space along with an Intel i5
processor. I've installed all updates to my Photoshop 5 that I purchased
when it first came out.

Photoshop is running in 32-bit mode, as most of my plug ins are not yet 64 bit.
This error dialog appears before the gallery opens.
All my images are under 4096 px wide. I tried using a much smaller image. Same message.
I tried increasing the available memory in preferences. Same message.
I tried lowering the available memory in preferences. Same message.
My Mac Mini has an NVidia 9500M, which is listed as one of the cards that support GPU processing for Pixel Bender. Memory is shared with the CPU, but that should not be relevant - many others would have had my complaint if that mattered.

Oracle 9i - did not install with SQL Loader

Installed Oracle 9i (standard, personal would not install) on XP home edition but SQL Loader did not come this this and I would like to import to 9i. How can I accomplish this? I can not locate any tools included in the installation.

I think the SQL Loader do not come with Oracle personal edition, at least it didn't on my 8.0.x personal edition before.
But I think there are few options:
1. You may install Enterprise edition administrator client on the same machine. It comes with some admin tools like sql loader (sqlldr or sometime it may be some different name with different version). Be very careful on versions, if it may conflick with your existing version, you may consider to install to a new Oracle home and make sql net connection to connect your personal edition's home and then sql load.
2. The faster way and the prefered way is to install ODBC driver, use some other Windows application like FoxPro to read a file and insert into Oracle via ODBC.
3. Use Oracle Forms to connect your database and use Text I/O commands to read file and then insert into database.

Photoshop not installed with CS4...

Hi, I just installed CS4, and everything was installed except Photoshop.
I've searched my computer for it without any luck.
If no one knows what to do, can someone post the Tech Support number please?

I'm running Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro and I had the same problem... Also, other items appear to not have been installed too... like Flash, Ilustrator and one other item... I noticed that my Student Edition (Master Collection) had a copyright date of 2008 so maybe this is part of the problem....
Is it possible to get new installers from Adobe?
Is there one place to go within CS4 to get everything updated?
Oh, I noticed that AfterEffects does not launch... I'm thinking that it just needs to be updated to something beyond the .0 release to work with Snow--thoughts?
If I choose to re-install on the same computer by first uninstalling.... do I need to deactivate the serial number?
Also, can I install CS4 on my MacBook Pro using the same license? I would never be using both simultaneously. I think Apple allows this with Final Cut Studio.

Tools.jar did not install with 1.4

My old machine, with the 1.3 SDK, had tools.jar. Unfortunately, that machine crashed and burned. I downloaded 1.4 onto my new computer, but there is no tools.jar (I use Jedit and it needs it for its compiler plug in). Did I neglect to download something else? I should also note that there is no /lib dir off of my /bin dir. I'm running XP Home. Thanks.

Do tell us more about what kind of exceptions that are thrown.
I also have a problem with applets running fine with java plug-in 1.3, but 1.4.x does not work very well.
The problem I seem to have is that the jar isn't cached because there is no expiration date or last modified date.
There is a reported bug about cashing with Java plug-in 1.4. I'm afraid that I can't find it right now though...
