Pixel Bender not showing

Hello
i just installed Adobe Extension Manager, then Pixel Bender (it appears on the list of extensions for Photoshop CS5).
A "Pixel Bender files" has been added in the Photoshop CS5 path, with some *.pbk files
But when I start Photoshop CS5, open an image an look in the "Filters" menu, there is no reference to Pixel Bender !
Did I forget something ?
I use Photoshop CS5 with Windows 7 - 64 Bits

Following your comment, I downloaded and installed both ( 32 and 64 bits)
versions of Pixel Bender
It works fine when I start PhotoShop CS5 32 Bits version
But it does not appear when I start the 64 bits version !

Pixel Bender not rendering preview

After I have been using Pixel Bender for a while it will stop rendering a preview of the adjustments that have made. This will occur with any type of file of any size. It doesn't matter what filter I am in or go to once I get a blank screen, it stays that way. I can see a preview again if I zoom far out so that the image is really small (12% or smaller) and then I can increase the size to see it at full size again. The only way to fully correct this issue is to restart my computer. Shutting down Photoshop and restarting it does not solve the issue.
My setup:
Windows 7 64-bit
Photoshop CS5 64-bit
XFX Nvidia 8800 GTX 768 MB
Intel Q6600 2.4GHz

I'm assuming that this only happens if you are in GPU mode? If you switch to CPU mode does it still happen? If you make some changes and then click "OK" are those changes applied to your original image even if the preview stopped working?
Shutting down Photoshop should fix the issue because the GPU driver is really tied to the process. Are you using transparent windows in Win7? Do those stop working when this happens?
Sorry for all the questions, we haven't seen this issue before.

Pixel Bender does not show in filters after installation but shows in extension mgr as plugin

I installed pixel bender (64bit) into my CS5 extended group through the extension manager as administrator as per directions for win 7. All went well and I restarted both PS5 and the computer. I do not have any pixel bender option under filters or anywhere else I can find. Did I do something wrong? I will uninstall it and try again, but right now, it's not looking good.

Ok... here's the deal. I installed the CS5 Master Collection on my computer. It installed a 32 and a 64 bit version of PS5 on my Win 7 64bit system. I thought that may have been because I downloaded a trial version (possibly 32 bit?) from the web before I got my full version in the mail. I uninstalled it and did a clean install with the disc a second time thinking that the earlier trial version had created some kind of protocol. When I reinstalled the PS5 64 bit from the disc it AGAIN installed both versions but the only one that will open is the 32 bit. So, I downloaded the 32 bit version of Pixel Bender and reinstalled (as administrator) the plug in (or extension) from the Extension Manager. It is there now although I have not tried it. At least it shows. I still don't know why I am working in the 32 bit version??? Anyone know?

Pixel bender parameter not showing up in flash

I am writing a pixel bender filter to be used in Flash. When I run the kernel in Pixel Bender I can see and change all my parameters (float and float2), but once exported to a .pbj and embedded in Flash I get a "TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.". I have run a loop tracing the shader data and it does not show that the parameters are there I change the version number for each export and I am surely embedding the latest version.
Can someone please tell me why this would be happening, I am totally at a loss.

UPDATE:
You can forget converting the fonts, here is what really helps:
Move all of your fonts from your user library to your desktop (or whereever, just make sure to remember where), basically uninstalling all your fonts.
Then put the fonts that you need & miss in FLASH into this folder: Macintosh HD/System/Fonts
Enter your user password to confirm the movement of the files into the system folder.
Restart FLASH.
Now the formerly missing fonts should show up in FLASH.
When you're done with your Flash Project, you can delete the added fonts from the system folder and move your old fonts back to your user library in order to get your sytem back the way it was.
WARNING: Be careful while in the system folder, you don’t wanna make any mistakes there. ^^
SICK that adobe is not fixing this issue which is really hell hell hell. Hope this helps you guys in the meantime.

Installed pixel bender but it doesn't show up under filter

I am running CS5 Standard 64 bit Windows 7 Professional and downloaded and ran "pixelbenderplugin_p2_64bit_090910.mxp" that appeared to end successfully however; pixel bender doesn't show in the filters drop down list. I could not see how I directed the plugin in CS5 edit preferences. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Duuuh. I finally figured it out. I had to right click on the Cs5 Extension Manager and not the executable file which was what I was doing. Right clicked the Extension Manager and selected run in administrator mode and it ran successfully. Started CS5 and the pixel bender filter was there.
Thanks you all so much and I am sorry to have caused you to waste so much time. If you don't mind and know the answer, why when I get this same message when installing other plugins just responding continue allows it to work fine.

Pixel Bender is NOT installing Please help!

I have The Creative Suite Version 5.5, which includes Photoshop CS 5.1. I'm trying to install the Pixel Bender Plugin for Photoshop CS5.1. I run at x64 bit and I'm attempting to install the correct plugin version. However, when I double click on the MXP file it opens up Adobe Extensions Manager 5.5 and goes through the process to install the plugin, when finished, the plugin isn't listed on the Extensions Manager. I don't get a error or any kind. The plugin simply doesn't show up. I have restarted my computer, downloaded the latest version of Adobe Air and Flash Player. I have repaired permissions on my computer. I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm Running a Mac with Lion. Thank you in advance.

I spent all day yesterday trying to install PB into my PS5, and it will not work. Then I got smart and started to search the forums, and it has been DISCONTINUED! This means that you cannot get it to work.
Though I did see someone say that you can get PB into PS3. Which I still have, so we are awaiting to see if anyone on those forums has any info on that.
Oil Paint, which is the one filter in PB that we all want, has been put into PS6 as an included filter. But we are awaiting some of our classmates who have already updated to PS6, to tell us if they like it. I wont upgrade to the new version yet.
I realize that this forum has not been added to for a year, but hope my answer helps those of us who are really interested in Oil Paint.

What I had installed was CS4 Desin Premium on Win7 64 bit. Pixel bender seems to be installed, but nothing happens when I launch and it doesn't show in Photoshop 32 or 64...

I get this message consistenly on all attempts: either installing pixel bender in extension manger as well as launching xmp plug in by itself.
"You do not have appropriate permissions required to perform this operation. Contact your system administrator to obtain permission."

5. Press enter/return.
6. Copy the contents of the window and report them here.

It's not clear to me how you can get into a state where the ls command cannot be found. Do you have admin rights on your mac? Regardless, please start a new thread, with details about the problem you're encountering. Thanks.
My admin rights is to an extent that i can bequeath the unit to anyone as I please.
Problems encountered is as stated on the first post, exactly like the problems encountered as posted by Brabusa60's; and the Is -alFod procedure at Terminal.app returns an unlikely response.

In iPhoto 09 Info does not show tags on aperture, time, iso etc. Other tags like place, pixels are shown. There is no little arrow on this info menu to go to full info box. How come ?

It does. Photos Menu -> Show Extended Photo Information.

Pixel Bender will not open in PS CS5 (not enough RAM)

I get the following message when I try to open Pixel Bender in Photoshop CS5:
Could not complete the Pixel Bender Gallery command because there is not enough memory (RAM).
I have 4GB RAM on a Mac Mini 2gHz Core Duo, and I have never had another plug in fail to load. Requirements are supposed to be the same as CS5.
Any suggestions?

Pixel Bender will not install

I downloaded Pixel Bender and have tried both auto and manual install into my
Photoshop 5> Extension Manager, but it keeps telling me that it cannot install
into my 32 bit Photoshop 5 PC program. Also installed Adobe Air in case I needed
it.
Message I keep getting is...
"Extension can not be installed, it requires 32 bit or 64bit Photoshop ver5 or later"
What could I be doing wrong for it to not install?
I've got plenty of memory and disk space along with an Intel i5
processor. I've installed all updates to my Photoshop 5 that I purchased
when it first came out.

hi...i've downloaded the 32bit pixel bender version and using it on my mac. problem is, everytime i use pixel bender, the image that i'm using doesn't show up. all i can see are lines and different colors but no clear image. what gives?

Yeah, sorry I can't give you an exact answer. Apple's "OpenGL Capabilities Tables" (http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/opengl/capabilities/GLInfo_1068.html) state that the MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE for your card is 8192 pixels. However, the Pixel Bender plugin will limit you to 128MB so you'd only be able to reach 8192 in one dimension. We've also found that the graphics drivers often tend to fail well below the MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE--I'd guess that a more realistic texture size limit for your graphics card is probably 4096. In any case, play with it and see how things go.

Pixel bender in photoshop CS4 extended

I down loaded and installed the version of pixel bender for use with photoshop CS4. I used the extension manager to complet the install and all was well. I did not install the tool kit. Do I need to install the toolkit as well?
As it is, PS does not show the pixel bender option if the filter menu.

Pixel Bender Gallery Error in Photoshop CS4 Student Edition

When trying to access pixel bender filters with Photoshop CS4, filters>Pixel Bender>Pixel Bender Gallery, I get an Error dialog images as follows...
I have read the ReadMe file and have the GeForce 8500 GT Video Card on this list.
The Pixel Bender Toolkit is installed at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Utilities\Pixel Bender Toolkit c/w pbk filters that run in the toolkit.
In Photoshop there are a number of pbk filters in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Pixel Bender Files.
The Operating system for the computer is Windows XP Professional c/w service pack 2 at least.
My question is... why am I getting this error message and how can It be fixed?

I am aware that I could download trial versions of Photoshop CS5 and its Pixel plugin version, but first, this first image shows a message that loads from Photoshop CS4 when I start the program and has always done so from day one of owning the machine and the software, could this be of relevence to what could be the root of the issue at hand.
I also use 3D Studio Max with OpenGL and have noted rotating moving objects in 3D space of a file size of 10MB is very slow and chuggie, is this relevent, does this information give any clues.
