Pixelation occuring or slight shadow when viewing on tv monitor
Guys, i want some help
I export video from pemiere cs5 (as microsoft avi) and I import it to encore cs5.
When i try to see it in tv monitor i found out that the image have a some kind
of pixelation or a small shadow, for example around the face.
The bigger the tv monitor is, worst the image quality is.
I think that is setting problems, other words i dont do the right setting for burning.
Where can i do?
Thanks Nikos
When i tried to transcode a video from premiere I adjusted the format to avi microsoft.
I found out that avi microsoft is low quality video finally, thus i try mpeg-2 dvd and vbr, 2 pass
and i think this is the solve of the problem.
I think 2 pass is better than one or cbr.
thanks Hunt

After creating a new slideshow I export it with the setting HD 1080p it is then saved as a .mov i then create a dvd in idvd and the quality is not as good as the original photo's when viewed on the monitor or a TV, am i doing something wrong?
DVD's are only 640 x 480 (interlaced), so yes, the quality is not nearly as good. You should probably create your .mov in DV format to best match the DVD format

Website renders slightly different when viewed in IE vs Firefox
Greetings,
The site is
http://www.ryanscafe.net
The issue: Side Gifs on each end of the web page render
differently in IE and Firefox. I built this site on a Mac with
Photoshop and Dreamweaver. I made the mistake of using tables. I
built a version that looked fine in Firefox, Safari, and Opera. But
had problems with the navigation buttons falling down a few
centimeters out of the header when viewed in IE. So since most
people browse in IE I adjusted the table sizes so the web pages
would work in IE. Only problem now is when you view the site in
Firefox, etc. the outer Gifs I used to frame the site won’t
fit without having the buttons repeat their movement and falling
out of place a few centimeters when viewed in IE. (If I make the
site render in the IE browser it has problems in Firefox with the
side Gifs. When the site renders well in Firefox the Navigation
buttons are out of place when viewed in IE.)
I tried shrinking the tables but still had the same problem
whatever size I made them. I tried a transparent Gif to push on the
cells and that didn’t work. I tried endlessly adjusting but
that hasn’t worked yet.
Any insight into resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MikeAnyone?

Audio Scratches when viewing on outside monitor
I'm not certain why this happens. When I go to view the timeline outsourcing it to a TV monitor. I get a warpped sound along with scratching. It sounds great in the computer, but that doesn't help me. I can never get a clean transfer to burn on DVD.
Any thoughts!
Emac G4 Mac OS X (10.4.4)It's under the Sequence menu.
Too many audio tracks and changes can overwhelm a systen resulting in bits being left out.
Mixing Down makes a temp audio file that puts all the audio tracks into one. Your Mac now uses this file rather than accessing all the individual bits of audio from various places on your system.

My Photo's Appear Stretched When Viewed
I Have Avatars Of 100 by 100 Pixels...
But When Viewed On My Ipod Touch The Photo's Become Larger And Therefore Pixilated, Clearly The Larger Version Of My Photo Is Not 100%.
Is There Any Way To View My Photo's At The 100 by 100 pixel size?
I Also Have Photo's Which Move However When Synced They Do Not.
Is There Anything I Can Do To View As They Should Be, Moving?
Any Help Will Be Extremely AppretiatedThe ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iphoto? Assuming 09 or later
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Partial cropping left and right when viewing on TV ?
hi, i've just finished a project which was anamorphic. it looks great on CPUs, which was it's intent, but it is slightly cropped when viewed on a TV with a DVD player here in the US. here are the details: i produced 2 final "prints". the first was a 4x3 sequence with a nested anamorphic sequence embedded within it. this was rendered using compressor > ntsc > 4x3. the second "print" was anamorphic and rendered using compressor but this time it was ntsc > 16x9 etc. etc. both versions were then burned to DVD using Studio Pro 4. both versions look great when viewed on computer which was the goal all along. My question is: what am i missing so that they can also be viewed on both computers and TVs without any cropping? the amount of cropping is just a little on left and right so i'm not sure if it's simply a video safe question. it seems to be more than just an overlookable amount though. thanks !
thanks a lot for the help! ... looks like i'll need to author 2 versions ... one more for viewing on TV in addition to the one i made for viewing from a computer ... thanks again for the feedback!

Symptom:
When you view a report with SCCM, you may encounter the following error message:
An error has occurred during report processing.
Under the details box, you can see the detailed error information as below:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended
execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.LogonFailedException:

Figure 1 is the screenshot of the error message in SCCM:
Figure 1.
Cause:
According to the detailed error message, it indicates that “The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account.”
and “The user name or password is incorrect”, so this issue would be caused by the mismatched credential stored in report server.
Solution:
To solve this issue, you can follow the steps below:
1.
Access Report Manager URL on your reporting server.
From figure 2, you can see that the URL for Report Manager is
http://SCCM:80/Reports
in our lab environment. You can check your Report Manager URL in Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Figure 2.
2.
Find out the date source {5C6358F2-4BB6-4a1b-A16E-8D96795D8602} and access it.
Figure 3.
3. Test connection (Figure 4)
You can have a test connection to check whether the credentials stored in the report server are correct or not.
Figure 4.
4.
Modify the password or choose another authentication method
If you want to change the password, please make sure that password is the same as the one that you have set for that user account in the domain.
5. Confirm connection
After you change the password, you can test connection again. From figure 5, we can see that connection created successfully.
Figure 5.
After all the steps above, there is no error message when viewing the report. (Figure 6)

I have a brochure I need to print. When viewed on screen it is pixelated, however when I change to presentation view it is fine. I need to print on presentation view. How do I do this?
Sounds to me more like you have the Display Performance set on Typical rather than High Quality Display. Unless there is a problem with a missing or out-of-date link, the display in ID has nothing to do with output quality -- all of the image data is used for output.

Old applications are pixelated when viewed on my new laptop?
Hi I've got a new MacBook Pro with retina display and I'm having issues with some older applications, such as Adobe CS5 and Microsoft office (2011) are pixelated when viewed on my new laptop. How can I fix this?
There are only a few apps that have been optimized for retina display, all other apps, including CS5 and Office are basically zoomed up to fit the 2880x1800 screen.
Apple once again ahead the times ! -
pixelation problems occurs in my videos when using adobe flash but using chromes pepper flash no problemes so its definitely adobe problems on my WIndows 8.1
Problem is:
Flash Player for IE11 (which is the worst browser ever developed - BAR NONE) is a Microsoft product, when it comes right down to it.
Adobe writes the base code and yes, they do collaborate on updates for it, but the gang in Redmond alter the plug-in and add "proprietary" code before embedding it, and at that point it's "their baby".
There are two (2) registry keys - 1 for 32 bit IE and the other for 64 bit IE, as well as a KB patch that prevent all but the most experienced Windows users from ever touching the Flash Player plug-in for IE. So there's NO WAY you could have done a clean install of the ActiveX plug-in in Windows 8. Unless you're an uber-geek, you can only update it through Windows Update.
WIn 8 is an abomination and IE11 made it worse. IE has always been the "problem child" of browsers, failing to handle CSS, Javascript, some PHP and most design "tweaks" that good webmasters can use with other browsers, trouble free.
I have IE8 on XP, 9 on VIsta, 11 on 7, 10 on 8 and 11 on 8.1... but they're all for testing only. I'd have to be out of my mind to ever think of using IE as my primary browser. ActiveX controls have to be disabled formost stuff and that opens millions of security holes in IE.
You've got a good video card and a decent sound card. It's a shame to waste them on a pile of garbage like IE, just because it came with Windows. -

Highly pixelated image when viewing at 100%
Dear Forum:
I'm using Aperture 3.0.1 on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Using Mac OS 10.6.2.
I'm making a photobook, extra large size. I placed an image in a photo box that covers the entire page (in other words, the photo has no borders) When I look at it in 100% view. The image is startlingly pixellated as if it's a low res image (The image is not a super-cropped image of the original) Will the book print out that way or is it okay for the image to look low res when making the book?
Thanks,
SteveDear Thomas,
I don't see the yellow triangle on the image which is good. But the image is nevertheless low res when viewed at 100%. If I move the image in one or two directions, the image clears up and becomes sharp as it should be. But, when I come back to image after working on another page, and do 100%, the image is once again low res. I'm wondering if this is just a preview issue or if it will actually affect the PDF file that will eventually by generated for printing.
Thanks,
Steve -
Color Cast Only On Mac Generated jpg files When Viewed In Bridge Cs3 Preview
Hi,
( Issue With Cs3 Bridge Viewing Jpgs - Getting Colour Cast on the Mac Generated Jpgs Files Only When Viewed In Bridge Cs3 On PC )
Using CS3 creative suite Mac & PC and viewing all files on the PC.
We have psd files when viewing in bridge they are ok and save jpgs via PS3 both on the Mac & PC off the same PSD file that we started with.
But when viewing these jpg files in bridge we get a red cast only when viewing from the Mac generated files from the same PSD we started with.
When we open the jpg files up in Photoshop all of them are ok we no issues only when viewing in bridge we get the red cast.
All PSD files have the same information content:
Bit depth
Colour space
Pixel size
Why are we getting this happening.
ThnxThanks very much for that lead, NormanPCN. I do have Auto Tone checked, though the rendered files in the example above do not have XMP sidecars. I will try unchecking Auto Tone even so, and post back when I see what happens.
Thanks again,
Kieren
EDIT: Bingo! I took Auto Tone off in ACR Preferences (in Bridge) and the non-RAW files immediately regenerated thumbs and previews. They now are indistinguishable from the PSD. There is still the very slight difference which I mentioned between the PSD and the CR2. While that seems odd, it is small enough to be relatively trivial.
Many thanks!

Why do images within a PDF look jagged when viewed in Acrobat Pro 10.1.6?
Using a MacBook Pro running Mac OS version 10.7.5 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB graphics card. High-resolution source images look fine in other software, and embedded images in a PDF look fine when viewed on Google Drive, but curves and diagonal lines look jagged when viewed in Acrobat Pro 10.1.6. Checking smoothing options in Preferences only adjusts the position of the jagged edges; it neither enhances nor ameliorates them.
I created a sample PDF to illustrate the problem I'm having. Created in illustrator, exported to PNG and converted to PDF. Here is a screenshot of the source PNG side-by-side with the PDF I created from it:
Please note that when I preview the PDF in Finder, and when I view the PDF in Chrome using Google Drive, the image looks fine. Here's a link to the sample PDF:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/77f5m6
Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my original post, I've already tried toggling smoothing options. They don't make the jagged edges go away—they just change them slightly. In some cases, as with the sample file provided, it does help smooth the art out, but it never looks as good as it did going in, in a recent project, toggling smoothing options didn't affect the appearance of the image at all. Zoom does not appear to relieve the artifacting.
A little clarification: this PDF was created from a flat PNG, but I have had this issue with PNGs and TIFFs as well, generated by both Photoshop and Illustrator. To reiterate, the PDFs display fine in other software—Finder preview looks great, and the same file viewed in my browser via Google Drive looks as intended as well. A colleague was able to replicate this issue in Acrobat on his Windows machine. This appears to be a rendering issue specific to Acrobat with regards to the files I use it to create. -
When viewing most text on most websites, it displays properly. However, there are two instances where text will either tend to, or consistently, become jumbled into a mess of seemingly random characters. Oddly enough, these seemingly random characters are not, in fact, random. The same weird character will be used to replace the same regular English text character consistently across the entire area that has been jumbled.
The two instances where this tends to occur most often, or consistently in some cases, are, first, when a paragraph or particular section of formatted text contains special characters, such as Chinese or Japanese characters, or accented letters. When this happens, usually the paragraph that contains the special characters is completely jumbled, while the rest of the text on the page will have intermittent jumbling on a word or two. Most often, the word "the" is jumbled in this case.
The second instance where this happens is when a website uses specially formatted text in some form or another. I, not being an expert at web development, am not sure what kind of formatting causes it, but I can provide consistent examples in lieu of my experience:
- Example 1:
Example 1 shows a portion of a screen-shot of the website "Joystiq.com". Every single article title on the front page of this blog is consistently jumbled, while the text of the article itself remains untouched. Please note that when this jumbled text is highlighted, it is visible un-jumbled in the right-click menu as well as in the source code of the page. Other consistent instances can be found within many search fields on various websites. For instance, the search bar located at the top right of "Kotaku.com" consistently displays jumbled characters both on its default text of "Search" and on any text that is typed into the search box itself.
- Example 2:
Example 2 shows both the jumbling of the paragraph containing the character "☆" as well as the subsequent peppering of the rest of the article's text with small jumbled words. Below this is the DOM Source of the selected text which shows how the text itself is being rendered properly within the site's source. Additionally, for convenience, I have edited on to the bottom of the image a small snippet of what the search bar on the same page looks like. Notice how the grayed-out text that normally would read "Search" is instead jumbled.
This issue has been plaguing my browser for the past year or so, and I had hoped that it would go away with subsequent Firefox updates. It has not gone away.
Thank you for reading! Please help! This issue can be caused by an old bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or (bitmap) fonts that Firefox can't display in that size.
Firefox can't display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size and displays gibberish instead.
You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or see if you can find a True type version that doesn't show the problem.
There have also been fonts with a Chinese name reported that identify themselves as Helvetica, so check that as well.
Use this test to see if the Helvetica font is causing it (Copy & Paste the code in the location bar and press Enter):
<pre><nowiki>data:text/html,
Helvetica<br><font face="Helvetica" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font><br>
Helvetica Neue<br><font face="Helvetica Neue" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font>
</nowiki></pre>
You should reset the network.http prefs that show user set on the about:config page.<br />
Not all websites support http pipelining and if they do not then you can have issues with images or other problems.
