Pixels Out!

I have a ipod touch, and i recently noticed that there are about 4 pixels out. I know they are really really small, but i seems like they are all i notice whenever i use it (especially sense they are near the middle of the screen). Do you think that that is enough a reason to take it back? It just seems like overkill, but it seems like after paying that much for something it should be -nearly- flawless.
And my warranty is almost up so i think it would seem wise to take it back now, before it gets worse.
Thanks

Wi_Fi is a huge problem with the Ipod Touch. You have two choices----hope that Apple fixes the problem (and its not just one problem) or return the unit before your 14 day time limit expires.

My iPhone 6 wont come on when home button is pressed and screen pixels out and fades.  Any one have fix or same problem?
When I press the home page the screen activates but stays black.  I have to press the side button to turn if off then may have to repeat several times to get my phone to come on.  Sometimes while using the phone the screen will become pixelly and start to fade away leaving a white screen with vertical line on it.  I have to use the close button to make it go away.

If one of the two major buttons of your phone is broken, it is unfair to expect normal operation to be available. The first resolution to any problem involves a usable Home button, as does the second option for resolving any problem.  Get your Home button fixed.

  • Week old Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2010 alread has pixel out

I noticed the other day, I've already got a pixel out on my screen on my week old 13" MacBook Pro Mid 2010. Is there any quick fix to this or am I going to have to call Apple and send in my macbook after I pretty much just got it? Also, am I going to need to back up anything on my macbook before I send it in, or will they even mess with anything except for the screen? Thanks!

I would definitely check the defective product/return policy from where you bought it (if you didn't get it from Apple directly). I know that in the past it has been "acceptable" for a laptop or LCD display to have a couple of dead pixels, and store or manufacturer returns/replacements were only issued if there were a certain number of them (I've seen a minimum of 5 to 9, depending on the manufacturer) could be proven dead.

  • Rotating image moves pixels out of canvas.

I was under the impression that using Image => Image Rotation => => 90 CW would rotate everything ninety degrees clockwise, but I guess I don't understand exactly how it works.
When makin a very simple 2 pixel pattern, I filled the right pixel with black and left the other pixel empty. I then wanted to see how the pattern would look horizontally so I rotated the image 90 deg clockwise and found that my black pixel was moved off of the canvas.
Next I tried some testing to see if I could better understand what was happening. I found that if I rotate the image CCW then the pixel would be in the correct place, but if I fill the left pixel with black instead of the right I would have to rotate CW to keep the fill from going off canvas. I thout that maybe I was rotating the canvas only, but when testing a larger image I found that wasn't the case.
I could go on, but basically I can't figure out how to rotate an image with 2 pixels ninety degrees. Kind of silly, what am I doing wrong?

Doesn't happen on my end. Maybe a video driver issue?

  • Pixels Out On My Screen!

    Hey,
This is really upsetting me. What is happening is a horizontal line of pixels is going completely out. What happened was I was listening to my nano and I shut it off and set it down. Like 20 minuntes later I went back to it and started listening again, I noticed that in a horizontal straight line of pexiels is gone on the screen. It is defintely not a scratch. Anyway, this was annoying but I didn't pay much attention to it because I didn't think fo anything of it. The next day another line went out, that bothered me but I am a trooper and toughed it out. Then again the next a new line went out but the 2nd one went back to normal agin. It keeps changing from day to day, but it is consitently in the same place. This is ridiculous! Can someone please help me?
    Thanks,
    Nanonymous

  • Row of pixels out on my Samsung 46" LCD

Vertical row is out , is this fix-able or covered by the extended warranty? I just purchased about a year ago so sucks to have to get another one before the warranty expired.

    Yep.

My device is the HP Pavilion m7-1015dx Entertainment PC, and it has suddenly had green dots all on the screen at different times. They are not in the same place everytime they appear. It just started yesterday but has not gone away. I've purchased this just over a year ago, and would like to know how to resolve this.

This should resolve your display issue. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Display of my Macbook Pro gets distorted/pixelated out of nowhere! Help!

I don't know what's wrong with my laptop, the display suddenly turns all pixalated in different colors, making it impossible to read anything! And it happens when I'm browsing the web, not even watching videos. The only way to fix it is by restarting the computer with the power button. This has happened about 3 times already.

Try a PRAM reset: power off the MBP, press the power button and before the start up chime press and hold option, command, the keys P, R. Hold till it chimes twice and release the kys and see if that helps.
You can also try a SMC (system managment reset):
Power off the MBP, power it up and before it chimes press and hold left side shift, control, opton, hold these keys till the gear stops spinning.
If these don't work you might want to go the Apple store for some help.

  • Anyone else's dented out of the box?

Just picked up a new 15" 2.5 this evening, get home (after the store closed, natch) to find that there's a dent on my right speaker grille. Will have to take it back tomorrow, which I'm not too thrilled about. Anyone else have one dented out of the box?

I agree! I had bought a new macbook pro the day it was first available (15th) and I noticed a bad pixel a week later, even though it was only 1, i got a new one. There is no way I am paynig 2000 bucks for a laptop with a pixel out, even if its so little, its all I could notice on the screen that little red dot. So a day after I got my new one, the mouse pad didnt click right, it clicked very well on the left and not on the right and I was having the "sleep issue" as others are. I took that one back the next day and got ANOTHER NEW ONE...so far no problems with this one .
With the money we spend, i want a FLAWLESS machine out of the box, let me dent it, or break it, i dont want one that is already broken.

  • Image quality suddenly much worse in almost all apps (Visible pixels)

    Hi everyone
Suddenly the image quality om my macbook pro started going fubar. I started noticing that everything on facebook looked so bad, and then i started to realize that it was all images/pictures and everything that was bad while browsing. I then tried loading up some HD movies that used to be totally pixel perfect, and now they look pretty bad too(quciktime)
Anyone know what this could be and how to resolve this?
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a Macbook Pro from late 2008 (Unibody)

What is most noticable to me is my profile picture on facebook that is completely pixeled out, and like everything on vimeo looks weird. Especially the smiley logos, the upload a video logo and get facebook connected logo.

  • Apple policy on MBP Retina with dead pixel

    Hi
New MBP retina (<90 days) with dead pixel just appeared 2 days ago.
Did anyone experience this and what's the Apple policy on this ?
    Thanks
    V

Call Customer Support and have them replace the screen. They will send you a box to mail to depot.
I had a MacBook Pro with a dead pixel and left speaker out. My MBP was 4 years old, definently out of warrenty. I called Apple, and they replaced the display without charge.
I received the box on Wednesday, mailed it on Thursday (FedEx) and got my fixed MBP back on Friday, same week! This is why I still buy Apple.
When calling customer service, stress that you have more than one pixel out, as you probably have a cluster. Have them do the repair at depot not at any Apple Store. Make sure, since you are still with 90 days, fix it for free.
    Should not be a problem.

  • Lenovo Yoga13 Dead Pixel

I have bought Lenovo Yoga 13 on Jan 2013.
After 2 months, came out 1st dead pixel.
1 month later another 1 show up. Currently my screen happen to have 3 death pixels. (3 position)
However i believe total will be 4 dead pixels on my screen as one of the dead pixel position should consider 2 dead pixels joint together become a big pixel. (can obviously see it is bigger than normal dead pixel)
I have contact Lenovo Tech support and get to know that Lenovo policy is at least meet 5 dead pixels for IdeaPad. Is that truth?
I am quite dissapointed with Lenovo as i m just use it few months moreover i m not a heavy user.  The pain thing is my death pixels happened on the midlle of the screen and show it as a vertical order, it is too obvious and annoying.
So anyone face the same problem as me & any Lenovo staff can help over here?
    I am from Singapore.

Ive found a dead pixel on the first yoga I purchased out of the box, Lenovo processed a return, the second one had screen washout in the bottom right so I returned that one, and the third one has a dead pixel out of the box as well.
Im not sure whats happening with the quality of the screens, Im less than impressed as well. I guess I am a bit lucky in that I discovered all these issues right after purchase, but its taken about 2 months to get to this point, so its quite a while. I don't think they will do anything about my most recent laptop, when talking to the rep about the last return, she said that I would not qualify for anything else if there is anything wrong with my new one. Im not sure I would purchase a ideapad again, if I ever decide to give Lenovo another shot I might stick to their business lines (that's what I use at work, never heard of issues with those) as it seems thats where the quality is.

  • Objects still pixelated after resolution is cranked up. HELP!

My placed vector images are still showing up pixeled out.
This is a problem considering .25 lines need to match up.
Under preferences I cranked the resolution. everything is set to high but still, pixels.
    HELP!

No they are vectors. My language is fuzzy in the title I apolagise.
To fix this problem I had to first go to preferences > display performance > choose high quality for all options and click "preserve object level display settings"
After that I right clicked each image > display performance > high quality display
    Worked for me.
    Thanks for the help everyone!
