Pixma MG6320 won't print

I changed the ink cartridges in my Pixma MG6320 and now when I ask it to print it acts like it is printing but the page is blank.  What did I do?

If I understand correctly you can print a test print and a nozzle pattern after you intalled the new ink cartridges, but you get blank prints when printing from applications?

PIXMA iP4300 won't print black. New ink, nozzles cleaned, buffers cleared. Help?

Hi rrrb, Please make sure that the installed ink tanks are correct and full of ink. The correct order is: CLI-8Bk Black
    PGI-5Bk Black
    CLI-8Y Yellow
    CLI-8M Magenta
CLI-8C Cyan Next, a test of the printer should be performed. The Nozzle Check pattern shows if each print head nozzle is operating properly. Please perform the following steps to print a Nozzle Check pattern: 1. Turn the printer on and make sure paper is loaded into the sheet feeder. 2. On your printer, press and hold the RESUME button until the printer light blinks twice. When you release the button, the Nozzle Check pattern will be printed. 3. After the Nozzle Check pattern is printed, compare the results to this example:  If any colors are missing or if any horizontal lines appear in the color bars, perform the print head cleaning procedure.  To perform a print head cleaning with the printer, please follow these instructions: 1. On your printer, press and hold the RESUME button until the printer light flashes one time. 2. When you release the RESUME button, the POWER light starts flashing and all colors will be cleaned. This will continue for about 30 seconds. 3. Wait for the light to stop flashing before you resume normal operation. Once you have completed two cleanings, please perform another Nozzle Test. If colors are still missing, please contact our support group using the following link:

  • Pixma MP500 won't print color

Yesterday, my Pixma MP500 suddenly stopped printing in color.  Black and white prints fine but trying to print in color results in a blank page.  I've checked all my settings and everything looks correct.  A nozzle check shows a black grid but no color. I cleaned and deep cleaned the nozzles repeatedly.  I took the print head out and cleaned it by soaking it for 8 hours.  Absolutely nothing works.  I still can't print in color.   Any ideas or do I need a new printer?

Hello. If this issue persists after cleanings or deep cleanings have been done with the printer maintenance menu, the unit may require service. Please contact our support group using the "Contact Us" link below for additional assistance with this matter.

  • Canon Pixma 8120 won't print after new hard drive + TC install

I have a great Pixma 8120 which was previously successfully networked wirelessly to an intel imac SL 10.6.8 and
a Macbook Pro running Lion.  Our internet connection is Fios via router and the imac had been connected via
    ethernet to the Fios router.
Last week, the imac's hard drive needed to be replaced - Apple Geniuses
installed the new hard drive at the apple store and restored all of the data.   I bought a new Time Capsule
and backed up the new hard drive as soon as I got it home (yes I got religion).
I now have the TC connected via ethernet
to the router and set up a new network -- connected both the imac and the macbook  via airport no problem.  Nice
    fast internet (safari).
The problem is the Canon printer.  I configured the printer to recognize the new network over the TC and was able to
connect it via wi-fi to the access point.  When printing however, the printer icon pops up in the dock and looks like its starting
to process the job but then the job disappears fromt the print queue screen.  poof.  nothing.
I  suspect I may have a problem with the TC's security settings not being compatible with the canon - the canon manual does say something about the canon not supporting "enterprise" and I did see that in the TC settings.
I have a huge work project due tomorrow so I decided to forego the wireless thing for now and just hook the printer up
via USB to the imac.  I reinstalled the Canon software following the all directions for when to plug in the USB in the process.
It didn't work.  Then  I went to the Canon support page and downloaded/installed  an updated driver. Now I have
a nice new looking printer icon but when I try to print it starts and then gives me a "communication error has occured"
    message -- error 306.
Does anyone have advice for me?

Never mind.  I realized that I needed to ethernet the imac to the TC.
I just got the Canon to print. Sorry to bother.

I just bought a new Canon printer to replace my old Epson R200. But now I feel very disappointed because I have tried to print to a CD with the software included and also with Surething Disc Labeler Gold 6, but it does not matter what I do, the printer does not accept to print to CD and asks to close/remove the cd tray and print to paper. It wants to print a CD label, not print to CD.

  • Canon PIXMA MG6320 driver - Print problem

Canon PIXMA MG6320 driver - New printer, Windows XP Pro and Excel 2000 - printing 4 into 1 only prints the first page and preview print prints all of the pages while displaying the preview.  Tried it with administrative rights and had the same problems.
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks
Tried reinstalling driver from the Canon website, the problem remains.

    Hi Rhinomopolis,
The actual page that is printed should appear just like the print preview.  If there is a mismatch between the print preview and the final output, it could be related to a setting on the printer or some other type of issue (out of ink, for example).  If the page does not appear properly in the print preview, review the settings in your printing application and try again.

  • I have a canon pixma mx360 all in one printer and it won't print

my printer won't print I just replaced the ink. I tried to trouble shoot the printer, and it said that I had a printer error in the que.
I cleared the que and it still won't print. can you please help me figure this out? my printer is a pixma canon mx360 all in one
    ink jet.

    Hi wendasa,
If you have any antivirus or firewall programs on your computer, please temporarily disable them and then try to scan again.  Sometimes these programs can block the scanning process of the printer.  If you are still unable to scan, we can try scanning using the Microsoft Paint program to see if the scanner function of the printer is working.  To attempt to scan using Microsoft Paint, please follow these steps:
    1.  Launch Windows Paint by pressing the Windows Key+ R, then typing mspaint, then clicking OK.
    2.  Once inside of Paint, in the upper left corner you will see a blue square; please click on that and select FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA.  A window will appear asking you what device you want to use.  Please select the PIXMA MX360, then press the OK button.
    3.  In the next window, you should have the option of selecting a document type; please select one, then press the SCAN button in the window.
Are you able to scan using Microsoft Paint?
If this is a time-sensitive matter, additional support options are available at Contact Us.

  • PIXMA MG6320 Double Sided Business Cards Not Printing Correctly

I just set up and used the PIXMA MG6320 for the first time.  Prints regular prints fine but I tried to use inkjet double sided business cards and something when very wrong.  The paper seems the same on both sides.  The brand is Avery.  Side one prints great but side two prints as if there is a plastic finish on the paper.  I left the ink to dry over night and it never did.  Also, the image is terrible when it does print.  As if its on a slippy surface but the paper seems the same flat finsih on both sides.  Its not about double sided printing becasue when I sent side 2 through first, it did the same thing.

First of all double sided printing set-up from Illustrator is something that is very specific to the printer you are using, so you'd need to refer to your printer's user documentation to review the correct settings. Having said that the steps you take are very similar for all printers.
Here are some steps that might be of help:
The easiest way to this is probably to place the front and back of the business cards on two separate artboards, for example Artboard 1 for the front of the cards and Artboard 2 for the back of the cards. Use the Artboards panel (Window > Artobards) add a second artboard of you've not yet got front and back on separate sheets.
In the File > Print dialog box, in the General section ensure that 'All' Artboards are selected or define the Artboards Range to print if you have more than two artboards in your Illustrator file.
You might also want to enable Trim Marks (Marks and Bleed section) so you can easily trim the cards after printing.
You can access your printer specific settings, such as duplex or double sided printing by clicking 'Setup...' at the bottom of the Print dialog box in Illustrator.
Mostly you'll find an option you can enable called 'Double Sided'  or 'Two Sided'.
There will also be a second option for either Long Edge or Short Edge binding. For a portrait artboard you'd select Long-edge, for a landscape artboard you'd select Short Edge.
Once you've set the Setup specific to your printer click OK and you'll return to the Illustrator Print dialog box, from where you can now print.
You might need to tweak the position of your 'back' a little if your printer doesn't print perfectly registered.

  • Pixma MG6320 Where is the print head release?

    ‎09-06-2014 01:12 PM
My Pixma MG6320 was replaced by Cannon by mail without a printer head while under warranty with problems with the print head and I am supposed to use the head from my old printer (the one with the print head problems). They can't send me a replacement with a new head? The access door is inadequate to perform this operation and there is no hint on the generic instructions, that apply to many different models, where the head release lever is. I see that there are two brass clips way at the back of the assembly that seem to be holding the head in place.
How hard would it be for a huge corporation like this to provide instructions applicable to the exact product you purchased instead of these generic instructions that leave out so much you need to know; in able to do what they seem to expect of you. Give me a break! Don't they sell thousands of each different model. Shows how important my time and peace of mind is to the manufacturer. Online "how to" help also does not show the majic release lever. Also, it is the weekend and telephone help is not available.

    Hi bettytillery,
On very rare occasions, like a print head error condition or poor print quality issues, it may be necessary to reseat or remove the print head from one printer to install it into another.  Follow these steps to remove the print head:
Make sure that the power is turned on, then, holding both sides of the paper output tray, gently open it.
Lift the operation panel open until it stops.  The print head holder will move to ink tank replacement position.
Push the tab (A) on an ink tank and lift it out of the printer.
Remove the rest of the ink tanks from the holder.
After all the ink tanks have been removed from the holder, press and hold the Stop button for two seconds (or longer) until the print head carriage moves to the replacement position and then release the button.  The carriage will move to the right and then return almost centered with the front opening.
Open the the inner cover (B) and push it down all the way to the bottom.
Pull the Head Set Lever towards the front of the machine. You may find resistance when the bottom of the Head Set Lever hits the back of the front edge. The Head Set Lever will move forward as it slides above that front edge.
Use your finger tips to grab the top of the center tab and pull out the print head. You will notice the front of the print head will drop face down as you pull it out of the machine.

Hopefully someone can help.  I just purchased a new Pixma Pro 100 and diligently set it up using a USB connection to my laptop (Windows 8, 64 bit).  The printer printed the alignment page fine, but won't print anything else (including a Test Page from the device Properties box).  I immediately get an on scree error message when trying to print.

  • Canon PIXMA MX712 suddenly won't print or copy anything - no color, no B/W, not even with Deep Clean

Canon PIXMA MX712 worked great, no degradation in print quality (over last 1.5 years).  Suddenly won't print or copy anything.  Can't print wirelessly (from IPAd or computer) or plugged in with USB directly to laptop.  Can't copy.  Makes normal print head sounds and "prepares" to print.  Sounds like it is working and spits out nothing but blank pages.  Tried doing test print and nothing shows up on page.  Tried doing a deep clean and still nothing.  Tried unplugging and letting it reset and turn back on and still nothing.  Tried switching out printer cartridges and still nothing.  All lights are on for the print cartridges.  The printer says it is ready and never received a print error.  Please help me stop getting nothing but blank pages.  It would seem normal to start having streaking or blotchy prints, but not just to work great one day and then stop.

I have the exact same problem ... printer is about 18 mths old ... I have done what has been suggested ... any other ideas

  • Pixma won't print after scanning via USB

My Pixma MG3200 series wireless printer was working fine until I had to scan something. Learned that it won't scan via wireless, so I attached the USB cable that came with the machine, scanned, then removed the cable. Have not been able to print wirelessly since then.
I did find that it was marked to use the printer offline (which matched the message I was getting), so I removed that checkmark. Still no printing. I restarted my laptop and it now says Printer Ready. Still no printing, but it now pops up with Printer Not Responding, and of course all it says in the Print Queue is Error - no explanation or link to assistance. Help!

    Hi opus88,
The PIXMA MG3222 can scan wirelessly over your network, however, the IJ Network Scanner Selector EX will need to be running on your computer, and the printer will need to be selected in that program.
We recommend reinstalling the drivers and software for the printer from the Canon USA website to get your printer back online.  The following link will take you to the initial download page for your PIXMA MG3222:
PIXMA MG3222 Drivers and Software page
Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
    1.  Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
    2.  Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click the MINI MASTER SETUP file.  When you do, another page will appear giving details of the file you are about to download will appear.
    3.  Please scroll down on the Details page and agree to the terms of the disclaimer message to continue with the download process by clicking on the "I AGREE - BEGIN DOWNLOAD" button.  After clicking the "I AGREE - BEGIN DOWNLOAD" button, follow the instructions to download and install the driver.  The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded the drivers for the printer, please follow the steps above to download the Quick Menu and My Image Garden software for the printer.  Next, please click the red arrow next to the SOFTWARE section on the webpage to display and download the other software for the printer.
If you are unable to scan wirelessly after reinstalling the drivers and software, you may need to select the printer in the IJ Network Scanner Selector EX and IJ Scan Utility programs.  To do this, please follow the steps located at the link below:
    PIXMA MG3222 Network Scan Settings
    Hope this helps!

  • Photoshop CS4 won't print on a new Canon Pixma Pro 10 - Mac Yosemite -

New Epson Pixma Pro 10. Printer works well with other applications, but just sends out blank pages when printing from Adobe Photoshop CS4. Canon suggested I use their plug, Print Studio Pro, and this worked with a file with layered images and text. However, it would not work with a file that had 3 text layers (two of which were hidden) unless I flattened the image. According to Canon, the plug in is supposed to work only with jpegs, but it did work with psd and tifs (when flattened). Any ideas on how I can get it to work directly from Photoshop.

Thanks for your help - I did find and download the Photoshop update to 11.0.2 and went to the Yosemite developer page you mentioned and do not see how to download the update, so I guess I will just have to wait for that to be released.
That's fine, you should do OK with Yosemite 10.10.1.
I'm glad you found the CS4 11.0.2 update.  I nearly hit the roof when I read another post of yours with the "suite auto updates" nonsense after I had explained to you why one cannot rely on Adobes utterly useless auto updaters.
The hapless Adobe auto updater team in India began to get their act together only as of the CS6 updates, but they are back to their unparalleled incompetence in CC and CC2014.
In case you missed it, here's the link to the latest Canon Printer Drivers v3.1 for OS X from Apple, available to the general public, which sounds a lot newer than what you have.  There's no reason for you to stick to "Print Studio 1.3.6" whatever that may be.
