JAVA implementation Class in Forms 9i
I have a Form where i'm using the progressbarJPC from de Oracle Forms90 demo's.
To get this work I have to modify the Formsweb.cfg with progressbar.jar. That works.
In developer there's an entrie implementation Class on the bean where i have to write "oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC"
Thats also working. Now my question.
I develop on W2000 and deploy on Linux with AS9i.
To getting forms work on Linux i have to compile the code again.
On linux there are no folders containing the OracleForms demo's.
How can ik deploy that kind of classes on Linux?
Do I have to compile the source again on linux in de folder forms90/java. What to do with the implementation class "oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC" ?
Hugo PerforsHugo,
the Forms module can be compiled without having to compile oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC. Just have the implementation class reference in teh Forms module and use the same jar file.

Implementation class on a button (rollover)
I am trying to change the image on a button when the mouse moves over it.
The implementation class property on the button is simply MyClass.
The java class file and both the alternative images are archived in a jar file and I have added the following lines to the base html file:
<applet name="letter"
code="MyClass.class"
archive="jars\letter.jar"
width=37
height=37>
<Param ....etc
</applet>
The jars directory is a subdirectory of the directory wherein the base html file resides.
It doesn't work - the button is blank.
If I put the above code straight into an html file with letter.jar in an appropriate subdirectory the image displays and changes OK.
Is it the button property syntax that is wrong? Or is the jar file in the wrong directory?
Thanks in advance for any hints.
Regards,
PeteIt all depends on how the Button is reading the image - is it from the codebase or the documentbase?
Have a look at the rollover button code in the 9i demos if you can (download from the OTN Forms Page). This looks in both places for the images. -
Overriding implementation class property using forms personalization
Hi,
Is it possible to set the implementation class property of a button using forms personalization ? Am looking to change the look and feel with out having to modify the Form itself.
Is this possible?

InfoButton PJC Demos for Forms (tooltip buttons) - not working
Hello everybody,
I am new to using PJC and JavaBeans in forms. I have on my laptop Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.1) and Forms Demos version 9.0.4.2.0 I downloaded from OTN. I studied InfoButton PJC application (buttons that show tool-tips at mouse-over).
Now, I want to create in one of my old forms such a button. I followed exactly the steps of the demo, that is:
1. I created a form with a button TEST_BUTTON for which I set the Implementation Class property to oracle.forms.demos.enhancedItems.InfoButton.
2. On the form's canvas I also created a text item named INFO with the following properties:
X Position = 255
Y Position = 107
Width = 100
Height = 100
3. At form level, I created the trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE in order to set the button's properties as follows:
SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('CONTROL.TEST_BUTTON',1,'INFOBUTTON_TEXT','This is the tooltip text');
SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('CONTROL.TEST_BUTTON',1,'INFOBUTTON_FIELDPOS','288,128');
4. I created in my formsweb.cfg file a configuration section for my form.
[pjc_demos_dana]
pageTitle=OracleAS Forms Services - InfoButton Demo Dana
IE=jinitiator
baseHTMLJInitiator=demobasejini.html
archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,/forms/formsdemo/jars/infobutton.jar
form=pjclaunch_dana.fmx
width=675
height=480
separateFrame=false
splashScreen=no
lookAndFeel=oracle
colorScheme=blue
background=/formsdemo/images/blue.gif
When executing the form, the button has round margins as said in the documentation; at mouse over the cursor takes the form of a small hand but there is no tool tip. I receive no errors, only that it doesn't show the tool tip.
I don't understand why it's not working, what I did wrong ...
When setting the 'INFOBUTTON_FIELDPOS' property - input parameter X,Y - the documentation says: "This property should be set to a string containing a X,Y comma separated pair providing the location of the target field in pixels relative to the top left hand corner of the window. The X,Y pair simply has to define a point anywhere within the target field, it doesn't have to exactly define the corner".
What is the target field? The text item I created at step 2)? The documentation is not clear here ...
Any help will be appreciated.
DanielaDear Safwan Bhai,
As salaamo alaikum Rahamatulla hi burakathu!!
Actually I'm having a multi record block in which all the emp no., days of attendance, etc will be displayed when I click on the search button. My requirement is when point the mouse over the emp no, the emp name must be displayed as a Tool tip text. My fields are non-editable, so Post-Change is not working. I placed the coding in the When-new-item-instance - in this case the emp name is displayed, but only for the first field, when I move the mouse to second and third fields, the empname of that particulart field is displayed as a tool tip but in the first field only.
Any other suggestions?
Anyway I would appreciate your help.
Thank you.
With Kind Regards,

How to use the implementation class in propetty pallete
Hi,
I am using forms 10g....I have to insert horizontal scroll bar in text item..
I have only class files instead of jar files ...how cani place the class file instead of jar file...
How to use the implementation class in property palette to display the PJC
Thanks,
Ansaf.The Implementation Class must reflect the full name of the class. For instance, if the full class name is : xx.yyy.zz.class_name, then put this in the Implementation Class property of the corresponding item.
Also, the class must be stored in the equivalent directory structure, so that, in my example: <DEV_HOME>/forms/java/xx/yyy/zz

Is it possible to access elements of a view in implementation class?
Hi,
In the BSP component workbench, is it possible to manipulate elements of a view (listbox, inputfields etc., hardcoded using htmlb tags) in the methods of view implementation class. For example, I have a inputfield which is initially invisible. I want to make it visible when a particular event is triggered. I wish to code this directly in the event handler method. Can anybody provide some pointers?Arun,
As the UI elements (tags) do only exist during rendering phase a direct access from the view controller is not possible - especially not in the forward-oriented way from within an event handler as indicated from you in the posting.
However, it is of course possible to hard-code view layouts; for this approach you can use the BSP view corresponding to the view and code there whatever you like. BSP views can also contain code snippets to achieve dynamic effects. In your example it doesn't look like that you need code at all - you need to preserve the status (visible/ invisible) in a value attribute of a context node and use this value to bind visibility of the input field on the layout.
In CRM 2007, there are two main tag libraries (aka BSP extensions) being used:
- THTMLB (single tags, like input field, button, table, ...)
- CHTMLB (configuration tags; these are available for forms, tables and trees)
You should always use these tag libraries in the first place to assure common look and feel and avoid rendering issues.
Best regards

Find the implementation class of a Business object
HI Gurus,
Is there any path in SPRO from where we can find the implementation class of a BOL object?
For an example, I am working with BuilHeader. The backend table for BUL Header which will be updated while modifiyng BuilHeader is BUT000. So how can we find the back end database table name or implementation class where the table BUT000 is updated?Hi Suchandra Bose
the flow will go like this.
1) the data in the BOL structures moved to Genil Implementation Class which is defined in the below SPRO path
CRM->CRM Cross application components->Generic Interaction Layer/Object Layer->Basic Settings in this corresponding each and every component one Genil class and its Model information in the form of tables will be maintained.
2) Take for example BP component , for BP component CL_CRM_BUIL is the Generic Interaction layer class , with in the generic interaction layer class methods (Create_objects, MODIFY_OBJECTS, GET_OBJECTS) you will find a code snippet to get the * Handler class* , this handler class will inturn get the Interaction Layer classes to reach the API ,
get object handler
lv_cl_object =
me->handler_factory->get_obj_handler(
iv_object_name = iv_object_name ).
3) This handler method will query the table CRMC_OBJIMP_BUIL to get the relevant handler class depending on which functionality you are implementing.
Thanks & Regards

WEB.Show_Document(POP Up Window In 11g forms)
Is it possible to open a Http inside the POP Up Window In 11g forms.
This is what i tried to use:
Created a Dummy Window,dummy Canvas and by clicking the push button i gave this message:
web.show_document('http://www.google.com','Html_Window');
WEB.Show_Document will open only in seperated window but i need to open in the Pop Window is it possible please help on this.As Denis mentioned, you cannot show html content natively in a form. You would need a bean to do that. However, if you are just trying to create something that looks like a standard browser pop-up window, there are several ways to do it. Be aware however, that in some cases, the following example will not work if you are using an older JRE. The latest JRE is 1.6.0_29 and runs the following code correctly assume the browser is not set to block pop-ups.
EXAMPLE 1:
web.show_document('javascript:window.open ("http://www.oracle.com","myPop","location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,status=no,resizable=yes,height=600,width=600");self.close();');
EXAMPLE 2:
Declare
inJS varchar2(32767);
Begin
-- More info about window.open here:
-- http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/met_win_open.asp
inJS := 'new_win=window.open("http://www.oracle.com","new_win1","menubar=0,location=0,toolbar=0,status=0,scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=500,height=600");';
web.javascript_eval_expr (inJS);

Hi All,
I used se19 to create Enhancement Spot : ARC_FI_DOCUMNT to ZARC_FI_DOCUMNT, and I created a BAdI ZFI_DOCUMNT_CHECK from FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK in ZARC_FI_DOCUMNT, then I implemented a Implementing Class ZCL_EXM_IM_FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK for method IF_EX_FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK~CHECK_FOR_ARCHIVING.
Finally, I deleted ZARC_FI_DOCUMNT and recreate ZARC_FI_DOCUMNT by T-Code SE19 for testing, i found Implementing Class ZCL_EXM_IM_FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK program still in the SAP, but I can't delete this Implementing Class & Program.
How can I delete program & customize Implementing class ZCL_EXM_IM_FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK In SAP?
Best regards,
EricHi Eric,
Proceed as follows.
1. Goto T-Code SE24
2. enter your class name
3. click delete button
Or you can also delete classes from SE80.
You can find class under your Package Name->Class Library->Classes

Ahsan

Show one form from another form by button pressed
I am a new learner. I am using developer but facing a problem when I used a button to show an another form.
my button is 'Order' in the form cust_info and I want to show ORDERS form by pressing 'Order' button and my pl/sql against this 'Order' button is:
BEGIN
OPEN_FORM('ORDERS', no_hide, no_replace, query_only);
END;
Showing Error: Can't read form ORDERS
pls give me a solution.Hi, Ashraf:
You can learn a lot about Forms in online help, which you access by choosing Help > Online Help from the Forms Builder menu. There is an Oracle University class on basic Forms, called Oracle Forms Developer 10g: Build Internet Applications. There are also some excellent books on Oracle Forms. The Forms page on OTN is very helpful as well (http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms).
When you create a record group, you can specify a query statement for it, so that's where you enter the SELECT statement.
So if you create a record group named, for example, MY_GROUP, and if your combo list item is named DEPT_ID, then in the trigger where you want to populate the combo list (probably a When-New-Form-Instance) you would use the code:
DECLARE
GROUP_ID RECORDGROUP;
QUERY_OK NUMBER;
BEGIN
GROUP_ID := FIND_GROUP('MY_GROUP');
QUERY_OK := POPULATE_GROUP(GROUP_ID);
CLEAR_LIST('DEPT_ID');
POPULATE_LIST('DEPT_ID', GROUP_ID);
END;
I hope this helps. As Manu said, please read about Forums etiquette. It's important to just put one problem in each posting so that people who are looking for help on a particular topic can easily find it, and so that those who have expertise in a particular topic will read your post and be more likely to help you.
Regards,
Pam
