Section of Oracle Developer Suite 10G Release Notes
available at
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_02/doc/dl/core.htm
states
4.2.3 PJC Wizard Now Part of Oracle Forms
With Oracle Forms 10.1.2 and higher, the Forms PJC Wizard is part of the
standard Forms installation. The PJC Wizard works with JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2)
that is part of Oracle Developer Suite 10g. For versions of JDeveloper that are
obtained from OTN, the PJC wizard is available as a separate Jar file to
download and place into your JDeveloper installation.
Anybody know where to get this PJC wizard jar file and install instructions?

    I downloaded Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Management Agent Release 1 (10.1.0.2) for SPARC 32 bit fle name GC10g_agent_download.cpio.gz from OTN and the agent_download/Disk1/solaris/agent/stage/Components/oracle.swd.oui directory is missing. I copied the oracle.swd.oui directory over from the Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 1 (10.1.0.2) download. After this the agent install worked just fine. Thank you for using Greg's debugging services.

    Please refer to the following documentation for details on downloadable agent. (you may need to concatenate the 2 lines below and place the url in your browser).

  • Recovery Wizard missing from MDT welcome menu

    I can't seem to get the Recovery Wizard to show on the MDT 2013 welcome screen when doing a PXE boot.
    One thing I did want to clarify, if the client pc doesn't have a recovery partition is this why I don't get to run the wizard?
    Im wanting to see the recovery wizard option so I can go in and run the DART Locksmith tools
    MDT 2013
    Windows 7
    Dart 8
    I thing I've tried everything and getting nowhere!

    MDT uses a round about way to get the Recovery wizard to work in MDT Litetouch console.
    THe recovery tools are not included by default in the WAIK, so MDT extracts these components from a working boot.wim from one of your OS install sources.
    Can you do a dump of all the WinPE WIM files in question:
    DISM.exe /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:C:\Path\To\Wim\winpe.wim /Index:1
    Dump the boot.wim in your <deploymentShare>\Operating Systems\<OS>\sources\boot.wim
    and the wimpe.wim under the c:\program files(x86)\windows kits\...\WinPE.wim
    Both files must exist on your machine *and* they must be the same OS Version.

  • Linux & Solaris SDK missing from 10g release?

    I have downloaded the both DVDs from:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/cs/htdocs/101102linuxsoft.html
    However, I was only able to find the SDK materials for Macintosh.
    For example, in the "Extras" DVD:
    % ls Clients/Calendar/DeveloperPackage
    Macintosh
    In the main DVD:
    % ls stage/Components/oracle.ocs.clients.download/10.1.1.0.2/1/DataFiles/Expanded/clientsdl/Calendar/DeveloperPackage/SDK
    Macintosh
    Where are the tools for Linux?
    Thanks for your help!

    The Calendar SDK in part of the Oracle Universal
    Installer package with 10g, so when you select
    "calendar" as part of the installation, you have an
    option for the SDK pacakage, including the
    client-side libraries.I for one find the need to run the universal installer (which restricts itself to RHEL on linux for example) to be very annoying. What happened to posting the SDKs as a separate client download? Downloading and running the server installer just to get the SDK files as a developer is a huge waste of resources.

  • PJC Wizard: where and how?

    I'm trying to learn how to create simple PJC for Oracle Forms 10g. Form's Help declares:
    "To create a PJC, use the PJC Wizard that is included with Oracle Forms or Oracle JDeveloper that is part of Oracle Developer Suite. If you download JDeveloper from OTN, you'll have also to download the PJC Wizard and place it in your JDeveloper installation."
    I also have JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 which, obviously, does not include this wizard.
    I failed to find any link for download on Oracle website.
    1)Does anybody know where exactly I can download this .jar and how to install it?
    2)Any links on 'how-to' documents?
    3) The only instruction for creating PJCs I have is on start page of http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com, which leads to .pdf with rather brief instructions. Are there any alternative tutorials?

    Just in case if somebody else needs it, there are my findings:
    1. from this forum:
    PJC wizard in Jdeveloper
    Frank Nimphius :
    "we do have plans to bring it back. The PJC wizard however is shipped with JDeveloper versions that belong to an Oracle Developer Suite release. JDeveloper 9.0.5 and 10.1.2 are stand alone versions that don't have this feature."
    2. from metalink Note:352216.1
    "The read-me file for Oracle Forms states that the PJC Wizard can be downloaded for JDeveloper. Unfortunately the wizard is not made public for download yet, so the following steps will explain how to extract the wizard from the Developer suite installation and install it in any JDeveloper 10.1.2.x installation.
    It is a pre-requirement that you have access to a Developer Suite 10g installation.
    1.) Copy frmjdev_pjc.jar from <DevSuite Home>\jdev\lib\ext to <JDeveloper Home>\jdev\lib\ext
    2.) Copy frmall.jar from <DevSuite Home>\forms\java to a directory accessible for JDeveloper.
    3.) Add frmall.jar to the project library path in JDeveloper."
    Instruction from metalink is somewhat perplexing, because in Developer 10g installation
    <DevSuite Home>\jdev\lib\ext and <JDeveloper Home>\jdev\lib\ext is the same directory.
    3.
    In Jdev10 create new workspace, new 'Empty Project', click 'New' for this project, on 'New Gallery' window select 'Clent Tier/Java Beans' and 'PJC for Oracle Forms' will become available.
    4. Link for debugging PJC:

  • Cannot find dashboard and reports after upgrading rdp from 10g to 11g OBIEE

    Hi all
    I am trying to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to 11g. These two products are installed on different servers. I have followed the guide: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2011/11-jul/o41bi-402913.html and everything seems to work fine.
    So i have taken a copy of rdp from the server where was installed OBIEE 10g and took it in the server where OBIEE 11g is installed.
    Ran the upgrade tool and upgrade finished successfully. Restarted the BI Servers in core application on Enterprise Manager.
    Now when i access the upgraded rpd, the layers and the fields are fine but I cannot find all the reports and dashboards that i had created.
    Am I missing any upgrade steps?
    Please suggest
    Thank you and best regards

    Hi Deepak,
    Thanks for your response.
    Oracle also came back to me and looks like my method is not valid:
    Hi Jim,
    Thanks a lot for the information. First of all I would like to inform you that upgrade CANNOT be performed across two machine. So, if 10g installation is on Host A, then upgrade to 11g will be on Host A.
    So, in your scenario this is what you can do:
    1. On Host A running Forms/Discoverer 10g on Windows 2003, install Forms/Discoverer/Reports 11g (11.1.1.6.0)
    2. Run the upgrade Assistant to perform the upgrade from 10g to 11g.
    3. Now upgrade OS of Host A to Windows 2008
    In short, I would like to inform you that upgrades across machines does not work. Source instance which is 10g and destination instance which is 11g must exist on same box.
    Here is the documentation which you can follow:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/upgrade.1111/e10130/toc.htm
    (Oracle® Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports, and Discoverer)

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Heading 1 level missing from TOC?

    I have this little RH 7 sample project.
    When converting to PDF using 'Printed Documentation Wizard',
    the primary Heading 1 level is NOT included in the MS Word/PDF
    'Table of Contents'.
    I'm not using any MS Word templates, just the project's CSS
    styles.
    Arcrobat PDFMaker settings in MS Word are set to default and
    include Heading 1-9.
    I've searched and searched but I don't know how to include
    this Heading 1 level in the TOC.
    When checking the MS Word 2003 document through Insert
    >> Reference >> Index and Tables, the Heading 1 level
    is missing from the tab 'Table of Contents'.
    When adding the Heading 1 level there through 'Options'
    button, the TOC updates correctly, but I don't know how to include
    this Heading 1 level through RH.
    Sample project
    here
    A note on the sample project:
    You'll see that every topic title associated with TOC book is
    excluded from PDF through conditional build tags.
    This was done so prevent titles from being printed twice in
    PDF.
    For example, in the TOC there's an item titled 'Balance
    sheet', the associated topic Balance_sheet.htm has exactly the same
    title 'Balance sheet'.
    To prevent this title from being printed twice in PDF, the
    topic title was excluded through conditional build tag.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Herman

    > > Are you sure the print layout is 100% the same on
    both PCs, particularly the Build Expression?
    > I'll check again this evening when I have access to the
    other PC.
    I took a copy of the project on the rogue machine, copied it
    to the second machine, ran the printed documentation wizard and
    checked the settings. The result is as expected. I get the TOC with
    the correct headings, the second one in my PDF.
    In the meantime I've also compiled the printed documentation
    on a third PC (with XP + PDF plugin that comes with RoboHelp). The
    result is the wrong TOC, the first one in my PDF.
    > Try generating on the rogue machine to just Word, not
    the PDF. When the document opens in Word instead of reinserting the
    TOC, right click to the right of the TOC and select Update Field.
    Does that correct it?
    I'll try that tomorrow when I have access to that PC.
    Very weird.
    Thanks again Peter.

  • Connection Pool Name Missing from Drop Down when Creating a New Datasource

    Hi All,
    I'm running Weblogic Server 8.1. I've successfully created a connection pool for DB2 using the Non-XA JDBC driver from IBM (Version 7.1). When I attempt to create a datasource for this pool and un-check the "Honor Global Transactions" checkbox, the connection pool is missing from the dropdown on the next page of the wizard. If I check the checkbox, the connection pool appears in the list.
    I experience this behavior on one instance of Weblogic Server, but not on another (I can see the pool whether or not the check box is checked).
    Is there some setting on the connection pool that could cause this behavior?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    I would have you compare the JDBCConnectionPool entry

  • DLL is missing from your computer

    Hello.
    I have a project that was generated from the Import Shared Library Wizard.  The C++ project (which I did not write) has dependencies (OpenCV dll's).  When I try to run one of the VI's I get an error that says "opencv_core245d.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling ... "
    So, I do have that DLL.  Where do I need to put it so that LabVIEW knows it exists?  I tried Windows/System32 to no avail.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    What did you do to get the DLL working?  -- In case someone encounters a similar issue.
    Also, I cant test this right now cause I am on a Mac, but if I recall you need to set the DLL and a function before the Call Library Function Node will be runnable.  So perhaps it selected the first (or only?) function name by default after your entered the DLL into the Call Library Function Node, but required you to confirm a function before proceeding.  Often you need to change the parameters or return value anyhow, so perhaps that's also required (viewing the tab and verifying the default Voids are okay).
    Is this an issue at all?  Or were you just confused by the way it happened?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    EDIT:
    As long as you can follow steps similar to this guide below, you should be in business.  As to why it wasn't runnable before completing all these steps, that I am unable to answer since I have only used them a few times:
    Hi, I'm new to this forum so please put this thread in the right place if I have made a mistake.
    But here's my problem:
    I'm using jre 7 with the latest version.
    I downloaded and wanted to launch a Java based .jar game, which runs perfectly for the other users but my JRE gives the following error:
    Application error - unable to launch the application.
    MissingFieldException[ The following required field is missing from the launch file: <jnlp>]
         at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)
         at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
    On the forum where is the game developed i got the following answer:
    ''+it seems your OS/jre installation tries to start the jar as an applet which fails, because it's a regular application and not an applet. is there any way you can convince your jre to start LS as an application? i would like to give better/more detailed advice, but i'm not running windows, so i can't check for myself/try to work out a step-by-step guide.+ ''
    As I have browsed the internet for hours and haven't come up with a solution I'm asking for some help.
    That error seems to indicate that the JNLP file is broken because it is missing the starting starting <jnlp> XML tag; I'll take a guess and just say that it is completely empty. Since it works for other users, apparently somehow when you download it on your computer you end up with a broken file. No idea why, no way for me to know why either. I don't have access to your computer. All I can say is: try in another browser and if that doesn't work, try on another computer. If it works there, well then you may have to face the fact that your computer might need a clean install.
    And PS: this is a Java programming forum, not technical support for whatever game you want to play that just happens to use Java.
  • Downloads missing from dock
    Both the downloads icon and the documents icon are missing from the dock.  I try to drag them from Finder and nothing happens.  Where they should be there are very light grey bars.  This sounds odd, but I think they got pulled below the dock.  Sometime they appear in grey behind the dock but cannot be opened by clicking on them.  How do I get them back.
    (this is not going to solve it but it will help us see what you're saying. can you hit shift+cmd+4 at the same time, the cursor will become crosshairs. now hit space bar. the cursor should become a camera. place this camera on the dock, the dock should be highlighted when doing this, and click the mouse.
    A picture will be saved on your dock, upload that picture here for us to see.
    if you have your dock hidden this will not work, you'll need to right clickt he track where it separates your applications with the trash icon and then right click that go to dock preferences and then uncheck automatically hide and show dock. you can also access these settings in system preferences>dock
    should look something like this (I customized my dock so it won't look exactly like this but it will isolate your dock
  • Application has problems when migrated from 10g to 11g
    Hi there,
    I am hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I have in moving an application from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g. The app works fine on 10g (uses Apache webserver with PL/SQL module, and APEX 3.1.2.00.2), but on 11g using the embedded web server and APEX 3.2.0.00.27, it doesnt. Most of the app works fine, but there are a couple of pages that provide the ability to add child rows to a parent/child relationship, where the parameter passing mechanism from one page to the next appears to suffer from some sort of corruption. I have traced this using the "session" and "debug" buttons on the developer interface, which show that the values of the parameters get changed inexplicably, when branching from one page to the next - even when the page is actually branching to itself.
    I am using the "Set these items, "With these values" fields in the branch, and have verified that the correct values are being associated with the correct items in the application builder. But while this does work correctly under 10g, with 11g, the wrong values end up being passed. Just prior to the branch the set of parameters have the correct values, but immediately after the branch, one of the values is NULL, another has the value of a different item, and a third has a totally random value - I have no idea were it comes from!
    I migrated the application from 10g to 11g using the APEX application developer's Export/Import options. There have been no other changes. Should this have worked? If so, any ideas what might have gone wrong?
    Thanks,
    Sid.
    Well, I managed to solve this, but not in a way that makes much sense.
    In desperation (I had tried almost everything else!) I changed the value of "Cached" in the page settings from "No" to "Yes", and ran the app, but the page didnt render correctly (in either Firefox or IE7) - in fact all that displayed was the developers toolbar at the bottom of the page. I changed the value of "Cached" back to "Y", ran the app again, and hey presto - everything worked fine! I actually did this a second time with a fresh import of the app from 10g, just to be sure I wasnt seeing things. I wasnt!
    There was just one further issue - everything worked fine apart from this section of code in a page process:-
    ELSIF (:p9_filter_type = 5) THEN
    IF (:p9_x_gene_list IS NOT NULL) THEN
    :p9_filter := :p9_x_gene_list;
    END IF;
    :p9_entity_types := 'GENE';
    END IF;
    In 11g the value of :p9_entity_types was not being set to 'GENE' when :p9_filter_type was 5. This was (and still is) working in 10g. I changed the code as follows:-
    ELSIF (:p9_filter_type = 5) THEN
    :p9_entity_types := 'GENE';
    IF (:p9_x_gene_list IS NOT NULL) THEN
    :p9_filter := :p9_x_gene_list;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    ... and now it works fine in 11g as well.
    Only wish I knew why!
  • Oracle Upgrade from 10g to 11g [BRANCHED BY MODERATOR]
    Hi Deepak/Folks,
    Another question that I have is that while doing the Oracle Upgrade on an EP server, the patches were not installed properly and I had to shut down the Patches installation after it did not do anything for a while.
    Now when I try to install the patches it fails telling me that the Installed patches cannot be verified, I had written to SAP and they told me to follow the
