pl help.
i'm a newbie with jdbc and mysql
i'll tell my requirment -i need to check whether the email id in the UI matches with the email id in the db,if the email id exists,i need to find its eid(eid is t priamary key,auto_increment),i've set my email id to be unique key...
so if the email id matches with the email id in the db,i should get the eid,other wise ,need to insert the email id in the user_table...pl help me with the code.i'm working using exadel and java...need t code 2 do this in java

The user comes to the UI and enters the email address and he hits on submit button .... (if i am right)
it is a simple task of passing the value from jsp to action class and do those operation.

So in the action class I want to validate the date that is the date is in dd/mm/year format?

My question is
I am having a table control on my view. I need to validate the data entered by the user on the table
and after validation i need to save the data into database table.
Now my question is only related to Data Validation on table UI element.
If the user enters 3 rows and if the 2nd and 3rd row are already existing,
It should throw the message Entry already exists and the pointer should
be at Row number 2 in this case.
Similarly in the 2nd row i have a date field and if the user enters some character
then it should throw an error message that Numeric values are only allowed and
the pointer is placed in the 2nd row Date column so that it allows user to modify
the wrong entry.
Please advise.

Hi,
for validating user input in table , you have to get the entries inserted by user into an internal table using get_static_attribute_table and futher have your check using loop endloop.
For date field, make the context attribute binded to date column as DATS. This would make sure the user inputs a valid date without your custom code.

Reconcilation:
Reconcilation is the process of comparing the data after it is transferred to the BW system with the source system. The procedure to do reconcilation is either you can check the data from the SE16 if the data is coming from a particular table only or if the datasource is any std datasource then the data is coming from the many tables in that scenario what I used to do ask the R/3 consultant to report on that particular selections and used to get the data in the excel sheet and then used to reconcile with the data in BW . If you are familiar with the reports of R/3 then you are good to go meaning you need not be dependant on the R/3 consultant ( its better to know which reports to run to check the data ).
I will give you a scenario to help you understand it better. Lets say BW extracts FI data from R/3. To make sure that all the records has been extracted from R/3 we can create a report in R/3 which will show the year-to-date balance of all the documents posted and we can create a BEx query on the BW cube which will also display the trial balnce. Any difference between the two balance will identify the records missing from R/3.
Similary you can model other scenarios as per your requirement. If you are extracting from 2 or more different sources from R/3 then create a multicube on top of the individual cube and produce the report. You need to also create a similar report in R/3 as well.

Sorry, if you deleted your browsing history it is gone. No backups are made for browsing history, unless you have that set that up in a 3rd party application. Or if you have a backup of the places.sqlite file, which is where that data is stored in Firefox.

Validate the data for SAP system

How do you validate the data for SAP receiver system (RFC or IDOC adapter)?
It is necessary to recognize does exists reference object or does field has the right value.
Do you validate it in BPM or you handle application/technical acnowlegment? Or Messaging monitoring is enough for your requirements.
In case of ABAP Proxy will it enough to catch Fault Message in order to define what happens?

there are two different kinds of validations:
syntactical validation (length and data types of fields etc.) and semantical validations (correct customer in order, allowed number range etc.)
From a theoretical point of view, only the first kind should be carried out in XI, all semantical validations should be part of the backend inbound processing. And indeed for IDocs and RFCs you will get according error messages in the backend. If you call proxies, you will need to code that yourself.
In General i'd implement syntactical validations in XI, if more a necessary then XI already carries out (e.g. mandatory fields filled). For data validations i would rely on the backend, meaning for IDocs you should look into using ALEAUD IDoc, which will return any error messages during IDoc inbound processing. For RFCs you can have Exceptions defined which will translate to a negative application ACK.

I've done some restating of the question, and distributed the calculations among several fields, not all of which need to be included on the visible layout. Other than formatting the Date fields and moving the 'Completed Date' field and its label, I've left this in the default "Layout 1" produced by AppleWorks.
Field List:
Priority: Popup menu with six items: 00, J, D, 1, 2, 3 Defaults to 00
TL (time limit in months): Calculation: CHOOSE('Priority',0,1,3,4,6,12)
Received: Date. Option: Automatically insert today's date (ie. Date Record created) (may be edited)
Target Date: Calculation:
DATE(YEAR('Received')+INT(MONTH('Received')+'TL')/12,MOD(MONTH('Received')+'TL', 12),DAY('Received'))
Remaining (Days): Calculation: INT('Target Date'+1-NOW()) (see revision below)

The On Target field shows the current status of the case while still open, and the state on the closing date when it was closed.
Having done that, I was unhappy with the Remaining field continuing to calculate an ever larger negative number after the case had been closed. Hence this revision below:
Remaining: Calculation: IF('Completed','Target Date'-'Completed Date',INT('Target Date'+1-NOW()))
Shows the number of days remaining while the case is open, the days remaining at completion if the case has been marked Completed and the completion date entered.
Rsults (and some further formatting of the Layout) below.
Part B:
You will need Subsummary parts when sorted on Completed and on On Target. Fields can appear on a Layout only once, so each subsummary part will need a separate Summary type field for each field to be summarized.

Need to grab the data from Web Page and send it to SAP using PI

Hello Experts,
I need to grab the exchanges rates from the below link.
http://www.cbr.ru/scripts/XML_daily.asp?date_req=09-06-2011.
This link returns an XML . I need to get the data from this XML page and post it to SAP ECC using PI.
My requirement is that, process should start from the ECC and grabs the data from the web page which gives you the XML and post this data into ECC using PI. We have a RFC written in ECC side to post the data in ECC.
Please help me to identify the adaptor's needed and what should I need to do to initiate the process from ECC.
Would it be a Async or Sync process ?
I would really appreciate the inputs.

Hi,
Any particular reason that you want to go for a sync process as then you would need to either use a BPM (RFC to BPM where you use sync/async bridge to get the xml file from the specified link and then send the response back to ECC) or go for a synchronous Java proxy on the receiver side which will grab the exchange rates and then map back to the RFC response structure. In this case, you can avoid the BPM.
Else, as mentioned in Michal's blog, you can break it up into 2 seperate scenarios. RFC/Proxy to File and then File to IDoc/RFC/Proxy which will get the exchange rates into ECC.
Another option can be Proxy --> PI --> ECC(IDoc/Proxy/RFC). Here you can grab the exchange rates from the link in your message mapping through a UDF.

As of now I have some set of reports which I would need to take up in BW. The requirement is to go through the list of transaction codes for reports in R/3 and find out if there are already any existing objects in BW system which I can use for these reports.
So, can u plz help me.

Depends what are your Tcode or Reports users run in R/3 and they want the same in BW.Then in BI Content we have Out of the box Delivered reports.You can activate those Load data and use it.
Gimme T-codes you have I can send you Standard reports in BI or Cube you can get these from.

I need to load the data from the source to the target like 90 tables. The source has 36 million rows in some of the tables it is taking a long time altough I have dropped the indexes on the target. Is there any trigger on the table you're inserting? You could consider disabling constraints (in case any exists) if you're sure enough of the data you're inserting and no one else "touches" the table while you're working on it.
