Place a button on a report

Hi All,
I need to set a button called Back at the top right of my report and after clicking that button it should be redirect to the specified page, say page 1.
How can i do this?

REP-50134 occurs when using the submit button on the Reports Parameter Form

Good Morning,
I get the "REP-50134: Cache subitem reports does not exist" error after clicking on the Submit Button from a Reports parameter form.
I am using Forms/Reprots 9i.
Using the source code given in the Whitepaper 'Oracle Forms Services - Using Run_Report_Object() to call Reports with a parameter form', all works well when paramform=no, but when I have a Form print a report with paramform=yes, the parameter form appears correctly, but generates the error after clicking the Submit Button.
Any inputs as to causation or possible places to look to solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at this I suspect my problem is related to this setting. I am trying to follow all the instructions in the White Papers but they are a little confusing as they are not all exactly the same. Each attempts to explain a specific functionality without regards to the whole.
For instance I believe I need to have the variables P_ACTION, P_USER_CONNECT and P_SERVER_NAME in the report being called and then add a Before Parameter Form trigger to reset the values. But this seems to duplicate and override what has already been sent via the REPORT_OTHERS property. It is a tad bit confusing.
Can you confirm?

Adding update and delete buttons to a Report from SQL Query

There is an option when creating a QBE to add update and delete
links which i find quite useful, but this option doesn't seem to
be possible on a Report from SQL Query. Do i need to do
something special to add them? is the option located in a
different place?

You can only add Update ,Delete in QBE Reports,
there is no option in Portal which can be used to
have these buttons in the Reports from Query Wizard or
Report from SQL Query.

Print Button of SSRS report is not display report in IE11

Hello All,
We are running on SSRS 11.0.0.0, .net framework 4.5, SQL server 2012.
Everything is working fine in IE9, IE10, now our client has updated their browser to IE11. In IE11 the print button in SSRS report is not showing. We have tried browser file,
it will show print button in IE11 but it is not functional. we have also tried to change browser mode to IE 10 or IE 9 (using <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />) but it didn't work in IE 11.
Some forum suggested to change framework to 4.5.1 but i
cant change framework now. so please suggest some alternatives to achieves the functionality.

How to add a copy option or button in apex report

I aint sure if this is meant to go in this disccussion. If an wrong please let me know the right place it should go. Thanks
I need soime help implamenting a copy button/option in oracle. I have a interactive report and when you click on the unique id it takes you to the form where you can edit the report. Now I wanted to add an option so when you click on the unqie id(pencil in edit area). It will give you 2 option, one of the option will be to view the report(view) and the other option will be to copy the report. If you click on view, it should take you the form where you can edit the report and when you click on copy, it should copy the report and take you to a blank form.
Another option is to have a copy button on each report next to the unquie id. In the image belowyou will see the edit pencil and sure everyone know what it is, if you deal with oracle apex.
Basically, when you click on the pencil you will get those two options above. The alternative way was to just have a copy button next to each of them and you can just click on that to copy.
The reason why I want to do this is because I was having some issues with colons, commas, etc. Basically I had a copy button in the form and some of the form has colons, etc and because of this the copy button stop the form from render and also shows a 404 error page, which was quiet annoying.
If anyone have any idea how to do one of the two approaches, please give me a stage by stage PLEASE.

How to place a button in last page....

I want to place a button in last page, which is used for calling a report. i created a button and place in bottom of the page... and set the property of print object On : last page then i m getting an error message rep -1216.

Last page in the sense u have place the button at the bottom of the canvas.
Can you please double check the Set_item_property Parameters or else please paste the code here and what error message you are getting exactly.

Can I place a button within a specific html table cell?

Subject says it all, I'm trying to place a button in a specific table cell, and don't know how to do it. It's weird that apex has all of the items that you can code directly using apex_item, but not a button. Am I missing something simple?

Depending on what theme you are using the code that makes up a button will vary, some are only input items, some are three table cells. You can examine the source of your page to see what your theme does.
I have successfully put the following code in a report column header.
<input type="button" id="DELETE" onclick="doSubmit('DELETE');" value="Delete"/>I use this as the header for a column of check boxes, so the user can select records and delete the selected.
What Theme are you using, and what do you want the button to do (just submit the page)

How to Validate an order once "Place Order" button is pressed

We have a requirement which is, When customer places an order, we need to check if that order has Item 'ABC' in it.. If so, There should be another item 'XYZ' should also be in there. if not, we should throw error message on Checkout page itself. We don't want to customize the JSP as we don't have expertise. Can any one suggest the PL/SQL APIs where we can include this logic? or any other logic?. We just want to understand which API will get executed as soon as they hit that 'Place Order' Button on Check out page.

I think it is too late to validate items during Place Order.
I would suggest you should do it when you click the Checkout button.
If you refer to ibeCScpViewA.jsp (which is used when we click on Checkout button)
you can find ready code which loops over all the items in the cart.
You can easily customize this page.
If you still want to stick to Place Order, then you need to customize ibeCCkpOrdReview.jsp.
but you will have to write a lot of code on your own.

Control User Specific button in ALV report

Can anybody please suggest me how to control "USER SPECIFIC" button in ALV report layout using authorization object. I mean if you can tell me which authorization object is responsible to control the "USER SPECIFIC" button.

normally the restrictions for saving layouts/display variants are done at 2 levels:
1) The developer of an ALV list first predetermines the authorization in the 'i_save' parameter within the code.
I_SAVE = ' '     -
layouts cannot be saved
I_SAVE = 'A'   -
user-specific and cross-user layouts can be saved
I_SAVE = 'X'   --- cross-user layouts can be saved
I_SAVE = 'U' --- user-specific layouts can be saved
2) The second level comes to us restriciting the S_ALV_LAYO which gives access to users to save global layouts if I_SAVE for that particular transaction is A or X.
for example, a report has I_SAVE= 'A', which means
it will allow to save User-specific layouts without any restrictions.
and if user has S_ALV_LAYO then he can save both User-Specific and Global Layouts(variants).
it would be better to keep this object separate.

How to give push button in alv report output

hi,
my requirement is that , i have to give push button in alv report output(item level) not in application toolbar, i am using reuse_alv_grid_display FM, can any body provide me sample code

Add buttons in ALV Report output

Dear Friends,
I am developing one ALV report in PP moule for calculating Shelf Life. The output is coming properly in ALV.
But my additional requirement is ADD coustomise buttons in ALV Reports.
Please give me an idea how can I insert buttons in my alv report?

EXPLANATION
In this program, first we created a PF status (ZSOM_STANDARD), which was an exact copy of STANDARD of program SAPLSALV through transaction SE41 (Menu Painter). Then we added another button to it,with a new fcode called CHNG. After this this we set this PF status instead of STANADRD.
We initialize a third event USER_COMMAND and associate a form with it. In this form we can capture the function codes and write any functionality under it. If we write functionality for an existing fcode, then this gets precedence over the default functionality that might be associated with it.
In this example, we capture a standard fcode &IC1 that is nothing but double clicking a line of the report. We are capturing the notification number of that line and calling transaction IW52 with it. We are also doing the same when a user clicks on the new Change Notification button.
When the user clicks the Back button in IW52, it comes back to the report.
