Place a panorama picture

Hello,
I am new in Indesign. I would like to place a panorama picture (13000x2200 pixel) over several pages. I think it could cover about 4 pages. Ok, I could place it new on every double-page and bring it in the right position, but is there another way?

Ah, yes. Long day. Sorry.
In that case, I'd still be tempted to start with a 4-page spread. Place the image as you want it, then copy and past in place on top of itself. Crop the left side of the top copy to the center boundary, then select the bottom copy and crop off the right side to the center boundary. Restore shuffling.

How can I make panoramic pictures using Aperture? (Combine 3 to 8 pictures of one object, then stich them together for on one long picture.)
How can I blend two or three photos together to have total focus range in a final photo? (Not HDR) (Example: I take one shot at far focus, one shot mid focus and one shot near focus. Then blend them in to one picture all in focus using Aperture.)
If Aperture cannot do it is there a plug-in for Aperture that will build a panoramic picture or allow me to blend photos together?

Welcome to the forums.
Not too sure about the panorama plugin, I know that Pshop does a great job of this.
As for the blending of pics for infinite focus, totally different kettle of fish. Panoramas you are essentially blending the edges of pics together. Focus is a subjective and variable quantity, each lens camera combination giving differing results, each scene with varying contrast and subject matter, a very big ask for a one click plugin. As you move the focus point the image changes, think of being focus on a face with the background blurred, now change to the background in focus the face blurred, that line where the two meet, how do you define it? Suggest some in depth reading of how images are projected on to the focal point and the circle of confusion resulting.
An example, using the HDR technique ideally you should either introduce a neutral density filter or adjust the ISO, as changing the aperture changes the image enough for it to no longer overlay perfectly.
OK they are the reasons why not... how to do it?
1. Get your self a tilt lens and learn how to use it for the Scheimpflug principle.

2. Get a wide angle lens, use a small aperture and get a large depth of field.
3. Use photoshop, place each image on a layer, give each a layer mask, using your discretion brush away the areas of each image you do not want.

I am having the problem when trying to take a panorama picture. It may only take the first frame or doesn't even start at all when I press the shutter button. even though when i hold the phone straight up and down, so that camera is at the top

This problem is irritating me....?

To take panorama
- ensure that the panorama option is on
- press the shutter button once
- you will see a line with an arrow
- move around in a circle ( I keep the camera steady and turn myself around in a circle)
- as you do this you will see the arrow moving across the screen as it captures pictures
- at the end of the capture, you will be able to see your panorama picture

All the pictures in my document all of the sudden disappear and I got a message saying images were deleted. A box is left in place of each picture.

I did it. By relocated all the songs. Then did my usual sync. Now , all the songs were synced to my Iphone now.:)

I downloaded iOS 6 for my iPhone 4, but the option for Panorama pictures isn't available.

Panorama picture dose not move on lock screen. HELP

Why dose my panorama pictures don't move. You no when u take panorama pic and then put it on your lock screen and it's like live when u move the phone the picture moves as well. Mine dose not move. apparently it was removed in the final version. what you see in the videos is the beta version.

When you look at how they distribute apps it seems that iPods/iPhones are deemed more portable, which is why they have the better camera features, stuff like weather and passbook and stocks, while Apple doesn't seem to plan for the iPad being used as peoples cameras or being carried around with them on a daily basis....and I know evidenc is to the contrary. I've seen people using their iPad as a camera in national parks and at disneyland.

It is not a supported feature for home screen wallpaper.

So I just updated my iphone 4S to iOS 6 and was having fun trying the panorama pictures, and all of the sudden my phone turned off (it was fully charged so it's not out of batery and it felt warm) and it has since not turned on again. Suggestions?

Even if it is a hardware problem they should fix it regardless of warranty. If you buy a car and after 1.5 years the doors fall off due to a failure in their design and construction, do you think the car manufacturer could pull off what Apple is trying to do? Yes the car still delivers its primary objective of driving from A to B, but significant functionality has been lost due to their fault.
It is the same with this iPhone wifi problem. Apple are a disgrace, I have had significant Apple Hardware failures with my MacBook Pro and iPhone within 2 years of purchase. Pathetic quality.

Can I print one panorama picture over 2 or 3 pages?

I have created a panorama picture from 4 pictures, using PhotoShop CS5 and imported it into Aperture as my photo archive application.
Now, I wonder if I can print this picture over several pages, A4 or A3, and stitch them manually together, as I want to have it big on my wall.
If I cannot use Aperture, do anyone have any other suggestions?

I want to do it myself, since i am very well equipped with several printer options.
I did try Panorama Maker 5, just downloaded a trial. It worked fine, except for the color fading, the picture lost it´s sparkelig colors. It prints the picture on two sheets of paper, making it possible to keep the panorama size. But the colors were dull.
And I do not know if I want to pay $79,9 just for the printing option. I read somewhere that it should be possible with PhotoShop as well, but I don´t know how...

How do i get my panorama picture to take without it finishing before I'm done?

I'm trying to take a panoramic picture but every time I start the camera will finish the picture before I can even turn slightly. I don't even see directions to "slow down" or move it just files the first frame as though I were finished. Any tips?

Take a panorama photo (iPhone 4S or later): Tap Options, then tap Panorama. Point iPhone where you want to start, then tap . Pan slowly in the direction of the arrow, holding iPhone steady. Try to keep the arrow directly on top of the horizontal line. When you finish, tap Done.

Why did my panoramic pictures disappear from my camera roll?

I took a couple of panoramic pictures. I was able to see them for a few days but now they are gone from my camera roll. Anyone else have this issue? They are also not in my photo stream. Anyone know what might have happened?

From experience, I would suggest you consider buying software that can make panoramas from the photos you take with any decent camera.
I recommend PhotoShop ($$$) or PhotoShop Elements ($ the consumer version that has everything you will need.) There is surely good and inexpensive or free software out there but I don't use them.
Panoramas are very tricky. The Kodak manual Keith mentioned hints at that:
"NOTE:
For best results, use a tripod. (For a steady shutter release on a tripod, see Using the self-timer.) Only the panoramic picture is saved; individual pictures are not. Picture size is set to 5.0 MP. Exposure and white balance are set with the first picture. The flash is set to Off."
Exposure, white balance, focal length, camera angles, lighting and focus are critical for getting a seamless panorama. Good editing software can do the stitching together automatically (with good exposures) and give you the options for inevitable cleanup (even with good exposures). The software should also have tools for making those quickie handheld shots stitch (perspective, vanishing point)
The built in camera panorama feature may be good but it reduces it to a 5MB file.
That file might not be much better than cropping a high resolution photo to short and wide or skinny and tall.
Home printing is very limited -- you can only fit so much on a page. You might want to check into online printing services that offer panorama prints and see what the market is.
