Place the cursor in certain indicator

Hello all,
I want to ask whether anyone of you knows how to place the cursor of the mouse in certain indicator automatically when the program starts so that when I read, in my case 2D Barcode, it must be displayed in this certain indicator automatically.

The only cursor postion behavior that can be controled is the item property "Keep Position".
The following is the text from the on-line help for item property "Keep Position"
KEEP_POSITION Specifies whether the Keep Position property should be True or False. When Keep Position is True, the cursor returns to the same position it was in when it left the text item. When Keep Position is False, the cursor returns to the default position in the text item. Valid values are PROPERTY_TRUE and PROPERTY_FALSE.

How to make a screen field as selected when we place the cursor in the fiel

Hi,
   I have a requirement like, needs to be automatically select a screen field value when i place the cursor in that field.
    The screen field value should be displayed in blue color as like we select the value using shift-end. when a new value is entered in that field, it should over-write the existing value.
     Any pointers would be appreciated.

After hitting Command-F, I now have to place the cursor in the text box!

Since I upgraded to 10.5.7, when I search using Command-F, the cursor no longer defaults to inside the text entry field in the search window. After it opens, I still have to place the cursor before typing. Is there a way to change this? Why would Apple add an extra step in what should be a simple operation?

A work around...
Create your text, place it underneath the face, then hide that text layer. Make sure you save to a format that supports layers like psd or tiff.

New to Firefox. Using GoDaddy web email: I can't place the cursor in the Subject window by clicking. I have to tab down from the address window.

I just started using Firefox version 19. When composing an email in my GoDaddy webmail it does not allow me to place my cursor in the subject line window by clicking (this does not happen in Internet Explorer). The only way I have found to be able to type a subject is to use the tab key to move down from the address line into the subject line. Is there a way to fix this?

This can be cause by JavaScript that intercepts the mouse clicks and that isn't working properly. 
Disabling JavaScript temporarily after the page has loaded should make it work in such a case.
It is also possible that another element is covering the login field. 
In such a case a right-click and Inspect Element should reveal with element gets selected.

I recently upgraded to FireFox 4 on Mac OS 10.6. Prior to that, when I used Google as homepage, it would immediadelty place the cursor in the search box for Google, whether it was starting a new session or a new tab or window.

Now, the cursor always sits at the addressbar after www.google.ca/[cursor], no matter whethor it is a new instance or a new tab (but not new page, that's okay). It's most frustrating to see that I've typed out my search only to have to go and retype in the search box again.
This issue does not exist in Safari or Camino browsers, which I have also used in the past.
Basically, I just want the cursor to appear in the search box as soon as google starts up and instead its going to the address bar.

It sounds like you are having trouble with your internal Hard Drive.
Whilst this is quite serious, sometimes you can fully recover from the situation, depending on what happened.

I am only having difficulty in replying hotmail when using Firefox 12.0 . Opening hotmail is OK, and so is reading emails. The problem starts ONLY when I try to reply an email, or when including pictures to repley email. The email composition page within hotmail opens up, but then I can not begin to type, first I have to copy and past a word . Then i can wrhit further.
When I closed in a picture, al the text is goes away and I must begin all over again.

Do you have a dictionary installed and selected?
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu.
*Open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one.
*Make sure that [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu is check-marked.

App to auto move the cursor to "Continue" and "Accept" buttons?

I don't know what to search for in the archives, but wondering if anyone knows of an app that will automatically move the cursor to the "Continue" and "Accept" buttons when installing or having to enter passwords. Though I'm not a big Windows fan, I do appreciate the option to have the cursor automatically moved to the default option when the user is asked to acknowledge something with a mouse click... particularly on a portable computer. I'm looking for something that reduces scrolling around to the box and places the cursor right there. Some might see this as lazy, so feel free to joke away Perhaps this feature is built-in to OSX and I just don't know how to access it... honestly I can't imagine why it isn't an option, but maybe there's a good reason. Thanks for any suggestions.

macjack, yes for the occasions when the default item is in blue then I just use enter. Often, the selections like "Continue" are not in blue however. Also, I'm still hopeful there's an app that will let me keep my hand on the mouse... mostly helpful with my macbookpro. Again, certainly feels a bit lazy when I describe it. But, seems like a feature that would be nice... have the cursor/arrow auto-point to the default or most commonly used option so you just "click" to keep going.

Not sure how to place it at a specific location other than start and end.
The RichTextBox has contents. At this point in the code, I do know the specific "word" in the contents, as well as the position (number of chars) where that word is located. I just need to programmatically place the cursor at that location.

Position Cursor on GRAPH either by dragging it OR entering the dsired position in the Cursor legend

I've written a VI that allows the user to import a dataset, view it on a graph, and then use cursors to "filter" the range of data that I'm interested in, by sending the cursor.index values from the first graph to an array subset function which feeds a second graph. The problem is that I'd like to provide the user the ability to position the cursors on the first graph both visually - by dragging - (for "course" control) AND by entering the desired values directly into the cursor legend (for fine control). The problem is that I cannot find a way to do this, since I have to have the Lock Ring set to “Lock to Plot” in order to capture the index information. According to the documentation, the only way to be able to position the cursors via the Cursor legend is to set the Lock Ring to “Free”, which means the index values are rendered useless, since the cursor is no longer locked to the plot. If I leave the Lock Ring in "Lock to Plot", and enter a value in the cursor legend, it does move the cursor, but not to where it should. If I enter a value an x value of 9.0 for cursor 1, the cursor goes to 10.2638. The next time I enter 9.0, it goes to 9.82794. I don't understand what the issue is. Is there a way around this?

Yes Rudi: What I want is for the operator to place the cursors by dragging them (just eye-balling it). The, if they see that the Y cursor (horizontal) is at 10.234, and they want to make it 10, they could simply enter that value in the cursor legend, and the cursor would be placed exactly at 10. The only way to do this seems to be to select the “Free” option for the cursor. However, in order to use the first graph to set the boundaries of the second graph, I have to use the Cursor Index from the first as an input to the Array Subset that feeds the second graph. In order to use the Cursor Index, the first graph has to have its cursor Lock Rings set to “Lock to Plot”. Am I making this any more understandable, or just rambling?

The cursor cannot be placed on the text at the bottom of the page

I have a very long document that I'm working on. The latter pages are behaving strangely. When I scroll down big blocks of grey appear between pages, when I try to place the cursor on a line of text at the bottom of the page it simply won't stick.

I am not sure what the problem is but it is something being reported by others.
Personally I do not trust longer documents in Pages, it may be advisable to break them up into smaller documents and simply continue the page numbers on in subsequent document.
