Placed PNG images which are made in 3ds max are not shown correctly in Ilustrator

Hello,
Why placed PNG images (renders) which are made in 3ds max (and then photoshoped) are not shown correctly in Ilustrator. Images appear very noise so you can't see almost a thing. the same pictures (renders) made in Revit appear ok.
Is there a solution to solve this issue?

You would have to provide screenshots of how it looks in PS, including the channels visible. MAX may have embedded extra channels that throw off AI. And of course check whether your PNG is actually 8bit, not 16bit.

PDFs are not shown correctly at more than 150% size

Hi,
we use Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and we can´t change it in our company.
we now have the problems, that a few documents are not shown correctly, when they are shown with more than 150% on the screen.
at 150% the signature and some lines are shown, when we look at the document witz 177% the lines and the signatures disappear.
Does someone have the same problem AND a solution?

I'm having exactly the same problem with my 80gb ipod on my new laptop which is also running Windows 7 64 bit and iTunes 10.1.1.4.
I initially just tried syncing photos and according to iTunes it was still syncing after 4 hours, this was for 6700 photos and I wasn't asking for full resolution, but iPod just said Connected - Eject before disconnecting. I couldn't disconnect and in the end had to close iTunes before disconnecting, then there were no photos on the iPod.
Disconnected, rebooted then when I connected the iPod I got the message that it was synced to another PC which I expected so i click to erase and synch, iPod initially showed synching then went to Connected - eject message but itunes was saying "finishing synch" it showed this for hours and out of 6543 songs on the PC it was onlt showing 6002 on iPod. I stopped the synch trie dejecting but got same message Iancenaz got. Again had to close iTunes before I could disconnect iPod safely.
I'm going to try synching it back on mhy old laptop which is running Windows XP and an older version of iTunes as I suspect its either a Windows 7 or iTunes 10 problem.

The maximize/minimize and close and buttons are not shown correctly when FF windows is maximized.

I have the same problem on all my computers, one running Windows 7 and two with Vista.
The three buttons in the upper right corner of the FF windows are not shown correctly. They are soft of cut off in the middle when the FF window is maximized.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that the scroll bars fall off.<br />
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.<br />
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.<br />

German umlauts are not shown correctly, when a received e-mail is opened the first time. What can I do?

When I open a received e-mail the first time, German umlauts (ä, ö, ü) are not shown correctly. Instead of them there are characters like §,$. When I close the e-mails and open them again the German umlauts are shown correctly. I don't know how to solve that problem. Who can help me?

Some icons are not shown correctly in Gnome tray

The image should tell everything. In the tray there should be icons from Guake, Dropbox and Skype. However only Skype is visible. Does anyone know where could be the problem?
I noticed that Synergy icon behaves also wrongly.

Just now, I installed LabVIEW 2012 f3 (32-bit, English) and checked for the issue. But the font(NI7SEG) was not shown properly in VI either.
- Both of Korea and English version of LabVIEW 2012 on Win 7 Korea OS shows wrong results. It is same on 64-bit OS.
- LabVIEW 2010 but on same PC shows correct fonts.
Is there a limit of number of fonts in LabVIEW? There are more than 100 fonts are shown in the "Selection Font" dialog and I can divide them into 3 groups by sequential order. I find that all fonts in the 3rd group are not applied correctly.

Permissions are not shown correctly in Get Info on Snow Leopard client, using Tiger server w/ ACL's

Invoking "Get Info" on a file or folder which is on a shared volume hosted by a G5 running Server 10.4 fails to show meaningful permissions when done from a 10.6 iMac. It says only that the user has "custom permissions", which is true since there are ACL's in operation. However, the Owner and Group POSIX settings are not shown, only the Everyone setting shows, making it impossible to determine which user created the file (in order to resolve issues when permissions prevent intended action). The same file or folder will show Owner and Group on 10.5 systems, as well as at the 10.4 Server itself, so we do have a workaround. I have noticed, though, that I have run into permissions restrictions where I should not, such as creating a folder on a shared volume using a 10.6 system, and then not being able to save into that folder from the same system/user.
Is there something about the implementation of ACL's in Tiger that confounds Snow Leopard's Finder?

I did two things to get it working, and haven't taken the time to sort out which did it. But it is working so it's good enough for me.
First I followed TeenTitan's suggestion, and also checked "Allow printing from the internet". I'm behind a firewall so not too concerned I'll get someone's odd photo on the printer.
Second I went back to server admin, selected the queue under queues in the Print service, then selected IPP and deselected LPR. Bonjour went grey but stayed checked.
After this I see the printer with "@ server name" appended, and it added the printer drivers like it should.
So all working well.

Some fonts are not shown correctly in LabVIEW 2012

I found a bug related with fonts in LabVIEW2012 f3 KR.
- When I select NI7SEG in font selection dialog, right font is not shown in the example box.
- Draw text at point.vi shows same problem for some fonts while other fonts are working.
I reported it to Korean NI. As far as I know, this was not reported in previous versions and I couldn't find any related documents in Google.
So, here I would like to know whether it is related with only Korean version. Please let me know if English version is OK.

International Characters in PDF Forms are not shown correctly (Adobe Reader 11.0.06)

I have a PDF form served from a web application and shown in Internet Explorer and want to put in string values with norwegian letter like 'ÅRE ØRE ÆRE'.
These are not shwon correctly when I toggle "Highlight Existing Fields" and the focus is not on the text field in question.
I am runing on Windows 7.

I am not able to login to maxnewyork life insurance site while using firefox. I am using firefox 3.6.10 now. Combo boxes are not shown in the some trading websites. I uses noscript2.0.3.3, javaconsol6.0.21, javascript option 1.2.6 and WOT20100908. It creates feeling of inferiority in using Firefox due to these problems.

Sharpen only images, which are not sharpende jet...

i have an Import of 2000 pictures. Some of them are already sharpened indiviually. For all the others (about 1900) I would like to use the same sharpening-level and apply it without selecting the images individually.
Is it possible to filter the images depending on the fact if they are sharpened already?

If the images are Raw images and have been sharpened in a different program than Lr they will be un-sharpened in Lr. Lr does not recognize / honor edits of other Raw-editing programs.
If they have been sharpened in Lr they should not be imported again. Import is only for images that have never been imported in Lr. But you could transfer the sharpening settings done in Lr for a specific image to a multitude of other images. All images have to be either in the same folder or in the same collection. You have to select them all (i.e. the image that has the sharpening and the images that are to receive the same sharpening). Make sure that the first image (that has sharpening done already) is active and then - in the Develop Module - press on <Sync>. A dialog appears where you can select which settings you want to transfer.
If they are JPGs and the sharpening has been written into the pixels Lr will import them as per image file. Lr cannot recognize which JPGs have been sharpened and which ones not.
And there is no way of transferring the sharpening from one image to the others.
Transferring settings from one image to another (or a multitude of others) is possible in Lr when the first image has been edited (sharpened) in Lr. The sharpening settings are saved in the Lr database (= catalog) and these settings can be transferred to other images. But without any edits (sharpening) in Lr for the first image there are no settings that Lr could transfer.

How can I add images which are not in Iphoto to Iweb photo gallery?

I have many photos that I have not imported in Iphoto just because I worked on them with Photoshop and downloaded straight from the camera memory cards with a card reader. If I add the image from the disk with the add/choose command (or insert/choose: I have the italian version and I do not know what is the English original command...) the image is just attached to the screen but not inserted in the thumbnails of the gallery.

Symbol characters are not shown correctly in webbrowser

I have migrated my Forms 6i-application to Forms 11G R2 (11.1.2.0).
Most problems I have solved. But now I see that Symbol-Characters in boilerplate-text in Formsbuilder are shown correct, but in the web they appear as "translated". In my case the Omega is turned to W.
In the registry.dat I placed Symbol to be carried to Symbol because I read java could use Symbol.
But I am wrong.
Do you know what I must do to get the boilerplatetext shown in the rigth way?

Dates are not shown correctly

By accident I just noticed that dates are shown quite messy on my MBP with OS-X Lion 10.7.4 for some odd reason I can't find.
It doesn't matter if I have the dates shown in their long form or short form (see screenshot). I had never seen this before, so my reckoning is that it started quite recently.
The error is probably also responsible for some odd behaviour in certain folders. The Pictures and Download folders now have a funky top bar and I can not sort files anymore based on, for instance, dates or anything for that matter (see screenshot)
I found that this problem extends to MS Office 2011 for Mac as well. Notably when I tried to set my Out of Office message in Outlook. The selection box for dates translated 2012 to something like 201220. When I verified my OoO message using a windows outlook client, it turned out the date was set to the year 2020. Obviously I would not have any clue about my availability then just yet, so it's quite annoying actually.
And not just the OoO message is impacted, also other things in Office for Mac. Check out the screenshot of a standard reminder pop up below:
The System Preferences don't show anything odd though. Time and date is set automatically by the Apple Europe server (Apple Europa (time.euro.apple.com))

Thanks, this solved the date issue.
However, it didn't solve the problem I experience in the Download and Pictures folder (not able to sort on collums). As it appears to be a different problem I'll start a new thread for that.
