Places area has four files that I can not remove.

In the Places area in Finder there are four "files". They are CSPHP,cnphp specs,CNPHP and 96. Any ideas what these are? Tried to drag and remove by all methods but still they can not be removed and this is a bit concerning not knowing what they are.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you try holding down the Command key while dragging the item out of the Sidebar?

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another install. Does it go through this time?

Trying to dowload the latest version of itunes and I get a message that it can not remove the old version

I bought a new touch and tried to plug it into my pc. itunes said I need the 10.5 version with new ipod. I downloaded the latest version and when I try to install it to my pc it gives me the message that it can not remove the old version and contact tech support. Please help.

A window pops up when I try to install that says the old version of itunes can not be removed contact tech support. Then another window pops up that says the feature you ar trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Camera has MTS files that FCP can't see

Hi,
I have captured 4 clips on our Panasonic camera. The camera shows 4 clips in its screen viewer, but when we log and transfer in FCP 7 it only shows 1. The odd thing is, this 1 clip isn't one of the 4 on the cameras screen.
Any idea where those 4 clips are so I can get FCP to capture them?

Not sure if your problem has been solved or not, But I would still like to post what I found as a solution. Here is a blog that help me solve this kind of issue as you can see. And pretty much sure you know that mts files can't be import to fcp directly. And here is another aspect. if your mxf files contains more than one audio channels, then if you use some converter like Handbrake, MPEG Streamclip, it may mess them together. Or you can find an app to help you convert them seperately, suggest you imixmxf if you need. just google it. Good luck with that. And this post is just for someone who has the similar problem. Hope it will help someone

I can not remove Adobe reader form my computer. In my Add or Remove Programs file it says....

that I can not remove the program. My computer got stuck on it and I had to do the end program option because it would not close out. I know that Adobe has been on my computer ever since I can remember. I honestly don't know what it is (Adobe Reader) and am very frustrated because I don't know weather getting rid of it (Adobe Reader) will cause problems on this computer or not. I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

Time Machine has been working just fine, but in the last week or two it has given up the ghost. I reset the connections to the drive, and it will basically save a few bytes of data and then hang.
Although Apple originally announced, prior to the release of the first 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Stations (AEBSn), that it would support Time Machine backups to AirPort Disks, they removed that option before they did finally release the base station for sale.
Since then, Apple has posted (as you have noted) that they DO NOT support Time Machine backups to AirPort Disks. As far as I know, they have not changed from that position and those who do these backups find that they become corrupted over time. Sorry, but it sounds like you just confirmed that for yourself.

If your data backups are critical to you, then you will want to use a different solution for your Time Machine backup destination drive strategy. I would suggest that you connect your WD My Book directly to your Mac in the mean time.
Your other options would be to either use a Time Capsule (which interestingly does support TM backups to AirPort Disks) or a non-Apple solution like the Drobo FS or HP MediaSmart server.

Try disabilng the Enable Disk Use option from under the iPod's Summary tab, applying the changes, and seeing if that helps.
Otherwise, temporarily disabling any antivirus, security, firewall, or file indexing software that may be running on your system and then try restoring your iPod again.

My MacBook has 30gb of audio files that I can't find

So there you can see that I have almost 30gb of audio files that I can't find anywhere. None of the folders say that it has many files.

I can no longer download and save files. They are now saved with a ".part" suffix that I can not use or open. What happened, I used to do this all the time?

Downloads seem to be happening normally at first but the file shows up with a file extension of ".part" that I can not use or open. If I refresh the folder where it was downloaded to, it disappears as though it wasn't there at all.
I used to do this and it just yesterday started to give me problems. It doesn't seem to matter what file type I do this with as PDF, MP3 and EXE files have all shown this problem.
Please help!

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
