Places not working after photo has been edited...

Hello All
As the title states after I edit a photo in Iphoto (on the ipad, in either Photos or Adobe Express) the edited photo no longer shows in places.... Is this just the way it is? Does the geotag go away after editing? Should I be saving the edited photo differently? I know if I leave the original it will still show in places but I would prefer not to have both versions on my Ipad just the edited version, but I do like the Places tab/option....

If you have the serial number for the installation and it is version 8 or higher you should be able to download it thru one of the pages linked below. If you registered the software, you should be able to find the serial number information for it thru your Adobe account.
If the above holds, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

Sync not working seems snyc has been a problem from day one and has never been fixed.

I have been trying to get sync to work for a long time and it just won't. I have deleted my accounts and redid them with the new version of sync and still not working. I just get errors saying it can't sync. I can log in but don't matter. Please fix your sync. i have tried firefox, firefox beta and now Aurora.

Since I switched back to firefox beta from Aurora I can't reproduce the error but it would just pop up at the bottom of the browser with an error saying Can't sync. I don't remember what the wording was I think it could not contact the server. But now that I went back to the beta its using the old sync and there is no way to set up with the new sync. This old version uses the pairing a device with code. I can't set that one up becuase all old accounts have been deleted and a new one created with the new sycn. It uses email and a password. There is no place to sign in with firefox or firefox beta for the new sync accounts. I went to Aurora because the old sync would not work either. I have tried everything your forms offered and nothing works. I kept getting can't sync and or can't sign in bad user name or password and I have the correct info. Your sync sucks it never works right and has been like this for a long time. I am now back on firefox beta but I do miss the new feathers in Aurora. So I have to just not use your sync and back up daily my bookmarks. And now I can't log into sync from here https://account.services.mozilla.com/ because it now says user name and or password not right and it is right. This is why using your sync is just not worth the frustration.

Home directory does not mount after client has been sleeping.

I found several articles that touches our problem, but none with any solutions so here I try from the beginning:
We have an XServe Xeon running 10.6.4 and two labs with intel iMacs running the same system. All clients are bound to the server using OD (400 users) and afp in a straightforward setup, that worked well with older equipment for several years. Server is connected to a XServe Raid that stores the home directories. Migrating to this new equipment and system caused several problems with the OD database, but these issues were solved and now there is only one very annoying problem left, that often leaves the users (students) with one question before giving up: Why do they use Apple systems here?
The problem is that when the client computers has been sleeping for some time, the login is VERY slow. The authentication succeeds and I will be logged in, but after that the message "The home folder for user <xxx> is not located in the usual place or cannot be accessed." etc. The sharepoint with home folders is not present either. Finder is extremely slow. Next step is to log out - takes a while too.
The next login will be a bit faster, no message this time, but the home folder is still not really there. It might contain the folder "Desktop" but no other standard folders. If I look at the path to the home folder in the Info window under "Server:" it will be: afp://servername/Users/iMac2 (072)/Macintosh HD/Network/Servers/cu.dkdm.dk/Volumes/Users/testuser. Shortcuts to different folders doesn't work and choosing "Go Home" from the Go menu sometimes opens the /users folder (on network).
The workaround is to restart the client, after which everything will work fine. the path above will now be afp://servername/Users/testuser
I really hope that someone knows something about this and is able to help. Our teaching, classes and preparing for students are radically disturbed until then.

1) Did you install as a local machine administrator, or as a domain administrator?
2) Is there, or has there been, any other Oracle stuff on the machine?
3) What happens (console session) using
sqlplus / as sysdba (without referring to sys)

Subwoofer not working after HDD have been replaced with SDD

Today I was helping a friend to replace his HDD with the new SDD he bought for his mid 2012 Macbook pro 15. We also got a caddy to replace DVD with old HDD, thus leaving him with two discs (I have already done this couple of times on different macs). After we finished, everything was working fine, both discs running smooth etc. However, after playing a song from iTunes, we noticed that there is no bass whatsoever in the playback. We both are audio engineers and know frequencies pretty good, so everything below 200 Khz cannot be heard. We tested the built-in output with the headphones we are familiar with, and it is working normally. Then we made A/B test with Macbook pro 13 and this particular 15 I am talking about - low freq. are apparently way more transparent comparing to 15, which is insane. So, we checked the positioning of the speakers on the board and figured out that there is a woofer just next to the HDD slot. However, we were careful and did not pull anything or made any physical impact that would kill the woofer.... any ideas or similar experiences? Graphics may be distorted temporarily.
Download, save & install following drivers in order. Restart system after each installation:

Mosue dosent work after pc has been shut down .

i just got a msi k8n neo2 platinum . with a amd 64 3000+ processor , using a fx5900 gfcard , 2*512 pci 3200 400 . it worked mega , it was easy to install and get running (i got told) . and it playes my GTR racing game better that i expected . i am not really any good with pcs at all , and had a friend to put it all together and install things on it . it all worked fine for a few days , after a late night playing the gtr game my pc would not find my mouse .tryed to reinstall mouse drivers , but it doesent work , not even in device manager there isnt any symbols of a mouse . furthermore the cable modem didnt work after that episode . both running on usb . i got it working with deleting usb in device and it resinstalled itself and i thought i was a bit of a genious , but next day the same problem occured , so after i did the same device manager trick , it finally worked again . i know for sure it wont work when i turn it on tomorrow , what could it be ... end option for now leave it running 24/7 ....
by the way it is the same modem/mouse thats running now .. tryed latest drivers and so on but no way it will work after shut down !

Serial number not valid after computer has been fixed

Please can anyone help - Ive had photoshop elements for 6 months, and last week my laptop went in for repair and has been toally wiped of any information. ive tried to re-install elements but it keeps saying my serial number is invalid... any ideas?

Is there a way to retrieve original iPhone photo after it has been edited and saved?

I cropped and saved a photo, not realizing the original would be deleted. Is there any way to retrieve the original?

The find my iphone app is not needed and has nothing to do with finding the iphone on which it is installed. The app simply allows you to find your other devices from the iphone - not find the iphone it is on.
Find my iphone is a feature, no app required. You do have to set it up on the iphone itself. If you did not , then you cannot track it.
The serial number is of no use in locating an iphone.

S2disk stops working after laptop has been on for a day or two

Running s2disk usually works flawlessly. However, I've discovered that after maybe a day or two, or three of the laptop being on (being put into a hibernate whenever I travel) hibernate stops working. There will be no error message on the screen when it runs, neither will there be any errors that I spot in /var/log/messages or /var/log/pm-suspend.log if I try pm-hibernate.
What happens is the screen goes blank and starts showing the s2disk messages, then it says that it's compressing the image, then it just pops up into my normal desktop environment.
The only difference I've seen on the screen between a successful hibernate and a non-successful hibernate is that the non-successful one never says "compressed image to ..... "

Edit: On a similar note, which may help to solve this, a similar thing happens when I s2ram (although they don't coincide - right now I can s2ram but not s2disk). When I s2ram it works but immediately wakes up without me moving the mouse, hitting a key, etc.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

The error, "Restart Required. Lightroom has encountered a problem with its menus. Some menu commands will not work until Lightroom has been restarted" appears in Lightroom.

I updated to 5.7 a few days ago and I just now encountered this problem while importing some photos. Is this a common problem?

Hey Guy's, Thank you for the recommendations to fix his problem and I did restart my browser, etc.. and all was corrected. But, I have been with Lightroom for a while, starting with LR3. I can not remember having one problem, except for my errors, until I started with LR5 and I have some kind of problem hourly! I do not have many presets or plug-ins so I don't think that was really a problem. It crashes constantly, I can edit 4-6 photos and then it starts slowing down and I have to do a restart. It does, on occasion, jump around from the develop controls and even changes modes, crashes and sometimes I just wait it out and it will open in the print mode or slideshow! I find photos all over my computer that it sent on its own. I did download and check for malware and other viruses and none were found so I am still troubleshooting everything from my fairly new computer and everything else but I always think when they come out with a newer version to download, it will correct my problems but they only get worse.

Trying to turn off "find my ipad" but the icloud password. is not working although it has been reset and the reset password works ok on my laptop. Any ideas.

I am trying to access iCloud account. I have reset the password, which works with my laptop. On the Apple website the account details show that the account is verified but on the ipad it continually says "verified" and underneath "Account not verified" Have checked the rescue email address but this says account is verified. What should I do? Apple store said I needed to phone. Phone chat suggested and went through change password etc. but nothing has worked and they have no idea. Help?

Desktop icons do not rearrange after one has been deleted

I don't know what I am missing but when I delete items from the desktop, I expect the other items to rearrange themselves because I have 'snap to grid' turned on. But they don't and a right click followed by 'arrange according to...' is needed. I am missing something obvious?

Credit Memo-Reb.Req.f.Man.Accrls not created after Rebate has been changed

I am currently working on a report that calls transaction VBO2. However, when I run the report using BDC foreground (to check the screens and values), rebate agreement was not accrued and was not saved. Thus, no credit memo was created. When I tried doing a recording in SHDB, the credit memo was not also created. But when I tried processing the rebate agreement in VBO2 directly, I was able to save the agreement changes and a credit memo was automatically created by the system. Have you encountered this issue already? You cannot save your changes during recordings but when you access directly the transaction, your changes are saved. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks!

Mini-image does not update after photo is edited

Hi, my problem is that I have all my photos on iPhoto 9, but edit them in Photoshop Elements. Once I complete the editing, I save the photo back into iPhoto. What happens is strange - when I click on the edited photo in iPhoto to expand it to full-size, the full-size version shows up with the edits, but no matter what I do, the small version of the photo (i.e. how every photo appears in each Event before being clicked on) still shows the unedited version!
Is there a way to have iPhoto show the edited version of the photo in the small "icon" size (other than by deleting the photo entirely and re-importing it into iPhoto as a new photo?)
Grateful for any assistance!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Here's how to use PSE from within iPhoto so that iPhoto knows that the photo has been edited and updates the thumbnail:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 6 the Saving File preferences should be configured: "On First Save: Save Over Current File". Also I suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds

Some general comments...
Regarding:
THERE ANY WAY I CAN PUT MULTIPLE RANDUM TRANSITIONS IN TO THE TIME LINE WITH JUST ONE CLICK ? .
There is no transition choice for random transitions across the Premiere Elements 12 workspace Timeline. But, the Elements Organizer 12/Create Menu/Slideshow and its Slideshow Editor does have that random transition choice. So, one possibilitity would be to create your slideshow in Elements Organizer 12 Slideshow Editor and then move the slideshow into Premiere Elements with the Output of Edit with Premiere Elements Editor command.
Pending more details of the slideshow you are creating, I think that you would get your best photo quality and overall results staying with Premiere Elements 12 workspace (1080p) project and the transitions randomized manually.
perhaps applying the default to all (all at the same time),
using Timeline Menu/Apply Default Transition,
and then replacing transitions randomly for the random transition look).

IPhone 4's WIFI has been not working after upgraded to 6.1.3(10B329)

     My IPhone 4 was working fine with its WIFI when it is running in default IOS version, I believe it was 5.x.x version, however after I upgraded to 6.1.3(10B329) then WIFI got very aweired issues again and again.starting from then I never get my WIFI working again:
1. Sometimes I can connect to my home's network and keep alive for 1-2 minutes then WIFI will not work on IPone, my home's router is not working either, I need to restart my home's router manually;
2. I can connect to my office's network and keep alive 5-10 minutes then WIFI is not working, however my office router is not affected; however the following days then I can't connect WIFI to office's network any more.
3. I tried to connect to other public area's free network via WIFI, however never joined in.
     I called Apple's service centre couple of times they have no clues, they said they never met this problem before for WIFI not working after upgraded to IOS 6.1.3 and no suggestions from them at all, every time I called them they gave me the same suggestion, such as restore-re-install, check your own router etc, nothing help, however my friend bought a brand new IPhone 4 with default IOS version 6.1.3 which is working perfectly without any issues on its WIFI then I believe this is a completely software issue.
     I know this is a general issue for Apple users and I refuse to upgrade to higher version as I am not sure the higher version can fix this issue however I am pretty sure the newer version of IOS did bring a lot of new bugs, anyone can provide me any suggestions guys ? THANKS A LOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have fixed this issue after upgraded my router's firmware finally, this is a completely compatibility issue between Apple and other third party manufactures, hopefully we can get compabitlity list for each future IOS version ahead of time which can potentially avoid such kind of embarrassing situations moving forward, thanks !
