Placing pictures on multiples pages

Hey, I would like to import many pictures on differents pages in the same document. I have around 400 pictures that I need to place on 400 differents pages. So I don't want to make it one by one. Is there any way to do that in the same document?

Span picture across multiple pages

Besides using "careful cropping," does anyone know of a way to take a given picture and span its parts across multiple pages when printing? The lagest format I can print is 8.5x11", but I am trying to print an exploded view of a picture that would ideally be four by four 8.5x11" pages or four pages across and six deep. Regardless, I was only able to get it to work by carefully duplicating a picture four times and then cropping it into four equal and lined up 4x6 sections and then printing each 4x6 on an 8.5x11" sheet.

I'm not sure I would have done this with columns. Because of your desire to link from one piece of text to another, in all three columns, I would use linking text boxes. Each of the three boxes on a page will be independent of each other, but can be linked to the boxes on the following pages. Does that seem like what you're looking for?

Placing Picture in Multiple Words InDesign/CS5

I am trying to place a picture into a series of words in InDesign CS5. I know how to, and can get the picture to place into one of the words but I can't figure out how to get the picture to fit into multiple words. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As for Lion...not advisable. There are a lot of known issues and heaven only knows how many issues are unknown.
Before anyone jumps down my throat, there are undoubtedly folks running it successfully but I wouldn't risk production machine with it.

Avoiding server duplication of the same picture used in multiple pages

I've scanned hundreds of family slides and would like to share them on iWeb grouped by person (face). I've identified family members with Faces and created Smart Albums for each face grouping. I'm concerned I will have lot of redundancy of the same picture getting published each time when that picture includes two or more people for whom I have a face album/page.
This is an area where iWeb could be a huge time saver if each time you chose to publish a page, it checked whether the included pictures had already been published to the server (on different pages), and then instead of pushing those pictures to the server again (duplicating them), it made links (references) to the pictures already on the sever. Any chance iWeb does this?
It's the same concept as Playlists in iTunes; and Events, Albums, and Faces (on the corkboard) in iPhoto--songs/pictures are not duplicated for each list or group, they're just referenced.
I guess I'm asking if there's a way to avoid duplicating pictures on the server so that pages reference the same picture when it appears in multiple pages. I suppose I could do this manually, but that seems daunting. If iWeb doesn't do this today, it'd certainly be a handy feature for a future release.

Otherwise, create some external pages where you can use the same image over and over again and embed it in the iWeb page.

How do I populate my date fields placed on Master Page for multiple pages?

I have a dynamic form with flowing fields. I inserted date fields using the Master Pages tab within Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2, Windows 7 OS. I have only 1 Master Page. Everything on the form is working properly, except when I have multiple pages, the date fields are blank on all but the first page. One of the date fields has javascript in the exit event to calculate the second date field. I can manually edit the subsequent page(s) date fields, but I don't want the end user to have to do that. I want the date fields on the new pages to equal the date fields on the first pages. Below is my output with notes to provide a visualization of what I'm looking for.

Hey Mandy,
Yes, both date fields are on the Master Page. The first one is set to "User entered - Required" and the second to "Calculated - User Can Override"
And that's right, I used your script to calculate the second date field. The only thing I changed was the field name, and used 6 days instead since I wanted the calendar days to only run a full week, like start on a Monday and end on Sunday.

Table not going across multiple pages

I have two simple side-by-side tables that I want to stretch across multiple pages when necessary by clicking the Add Another button object.
I think I've done everything necessary to have the table repeat on multiple pages:
1. My table is in a subform.
2. The subform is set to Flowed.
3. The table has Allow Page Breaks with Content
4. The table is not a group table
5. I have the Rows in Binding to Repeat Row for Each Data Item
What I do notice is that when I click on either Table and then click the Pagination tab in Object--- Pagination is greyed out
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

How do I set Page Width to Multiple Pages?
I notice when Cross Tabs are used, the report spans over several pages in width. Can I set this option without using a cross-tab? Since I am having trouble finding a paper width that is 100 inches wide, I was thinking of just using multiple pages.

Hi Linda,
Try inserting an OLEDB object and select a bitmap and insert a blank bitmap in report header. Now go to preview and right click on OLEDB Object go to format graphic>picture>change the width of the picture
If the width exceeds more than the width of the page then it create virtual pages.

Printing Multiple Copies of Same Image on Multiple Pages

I have Photoshop Elements 11 on a Windows 8 platform. I can NOT get it to print multiple copies of the same file on multiple pages. I need one file printed on one page multiple times. I have tried the CTRL-ALT-SHIFT and nothing changes. It still just prints one and is done.
I use this for label printing, so I need it to print more than one copy at a time. It also is not saving the settings, so everytime I hit print, I have to readjust the print requirements. This just is not going to work when you need to print a few hundred copies at a time.

You can create your own picture package, if none of the options in the PSE print window>Type of Print work for you. Just make a blank file, copy/paste your image and alt drag it to make multiple copies. You can use the move tool to position things as you want them.
Generally speaking, though, for something like label printing, it's simplest to use PSE to create the image, then use your word processing/desktop publishing program to print the actual labels.

I need to scan a multiple page document so that I can email it, but I am currently only save each page as individual jpegs.
I have already downloaded the HP driver recommended.

I understand that you would like to be able to email a multiple page scan. I can help you today.
I don't have access to the Cue 13 software that you are using, so I will provide a couple of ways to be able to check the setting for creating a separate file for each scanned page or not. If these steps don't match the software that you are using, please provide a screen shot of the software.
Most likely these steps are similar to your software. Cue 14 software.
Open the HP Solutions Center software for scanning, click on the Change Settings button, click the Advanced Picture Settings button, check Scan multiple photos to a individual file. Press OK.
Lite v22 software.
In the HP Solutions Center software for scanning, click the link Advanced Settings, click on the File tab.
Uncheck Create a separate file for each scanned page.
Press OK.

Oracle reports and multiple pages

I am new the Oracle Reports and I am trying to generate a report that can continue to the another page. For instance, if my list of items exceeds the first page of the report, the remaining items will be printed on the next page. We can get it to continue to the next page, but the formatting of the following pages after the first page needs to be different. Currently, it is placing the remaining items in the same position as the first page. The remaining items should be further up the page.
In short, how do I generate 1 report with 2 different formats. All pages beside the 1st page will be the same.
Any guidance is appreciated.

I would like to ask for your help regarding printing from concurrent requests.
I am currently having an issue with printing multiple pages from Oracle reports, both in text format and RTF/PDF formats.
When I generate a multiple page report and print it directly from a concurrent request, print outs generate extra space after each page even though page size is indicated in the reports (all of them are in letter size).What if you print the output file from the OS, can you reproduce the issue then?

How to create slideshow for pictures on blank page

G'day,
I'm just starting to use iWeb 09 and would like to ask a really basic question. My apologies in advance if it has been asked and answered in the past.
I have created a page using the "blank page" template and added some text and pictures. On the photo page, I understand that you can click on a photo to see a larger version and to run a slideshow. Is it possible to create this functionality for pictures placed on a blank page? Or is this functionality only available on a photo album page?

I believe you can do so. Create the photo page, click on the thumbnail layout box and copy it. Go to the blank page and paste. You'll have to lengthen the page using the Inspector/Page/Layout pane so the entire thumbnail layout box is visible in the body. Then go back and delete the photo page.
This test slideshow page was copied from another site in iWeb and pasted on a blank page: PhotoCopy. It seems to work just like the Photo page.

Multiple Pages per Sheet Dimensions

Whenever I print multiple pages per sheet on my HP Officejet Pro 8000, it squishes the dimensions to fit the page so that all my letters are printed narrowed/elongated. Is there a way to prevent the printer from fitting the pages to the half sheet and preserving the original proportions of the document?

Ar eyou able to print to PDF? If you have that facility select Adobe PDF in the pop down menu, go to properties and the first tab has layout, you should be able to select number up required, save to PDF and open the new PDF...this should be stepped up how you want it.
Alternatively if you have Illustrator or Indesign (Quark works too) you can create a page with picture boxes and import/place the PDF however many up you want.

Multiple page per sheet not working...

Since some time now (even before Mavericks), the "Multiple page per sheet" is not working.
When I select it and print (either to PDF or to any of my printers), I always get 1 page per sheet... and I can't save trees!!!!

How do you stretch an image over multiple pages?

I need to print a large picture, one that will be 30x30 inches. I need to print multiple pages with the image cut up but when I try to resize the image to make it bigger, Pages doesn't create a new page, it just runs the image off the page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pages will accept custom page sizes of 30x30 (or even larger), but then you're faced with the problem of finding a printer that will handle that size of paper.
OTOH, if you move you're project to Numbers, you can:
Open a "Blank" template.
Use the Metrics Inspector to set the Sheet size to 30" by 30"
Click on the Table in the sidebar to select it.
Press Delete.
You'll be left with a 30x30 (or larger) blank slate on which you can place Text boxes, Shapes and graphics objects (including your large picture).
Thanks to Yvan, who has been mentioning the use of a Numbers sheet as a canvas foe some time now.

Keep recto/verso page placement when printing 'Multiple' pages on single sheet

Dear All,
my book is designed for duplex printing. Every chapter starts on recto (odd) page.
When I need to print it for proofreading in the multiple mode (2 pages on single sheet), pages do not follow the original intent as the first page is placed on the verso page (left half of the sheet), not recto one (right half). I couldn't find any option to place the first page on the recto 'side' in the Print dialog.
My current workaround is to place one blank page at the beginning of my PDF file.
But I'd like to avoid this manual step in the future. Is there a more efficient way?
Btw, it would be nice to add a single option for this into the Print dialog. It could be handy for everyone.
What is the best place for such kind of feature request?

have no idea about what is wrong on your machine.
Here doing that I get a normal behavior:
You may try:
a - quit/close Numbers
trash the preferences file:
<bootVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Numbers.pli st
empty the trash
restart Numbers.
b - try to do the job from an other user account
tell us how the beast behaves.
