Placing URL Links in Mail Signatures
I have not upgraded to Snow Leopard yet. I am on the previous version 10.5.8. My current pet peeve in Mac Mail is that I can't add a hyperlink to my email signature. I write for a blog Triple Pundit which I list in my signature, and I want to add a link to my section of the blog, so that whoever is reading my email can click on the link and go to just my section. I have not been able to figure out how to do this in 10.5.8.
Does anyone know if Snow Leopard supports adding URL links to any word or words that appear in the signature? If it doesn't, I will not upgrade at this time.
HI,
Open Mac Mail. From the Menu Bar click Mail/Preferences and select the Signature tab.
Drag and drop a link in the box all the way to the right just under your signature.

Suddenly today when I click on url links in Mail or Word the desktop switches to Firefox but not page opens. This changed on both my desktop (iMac) and laptop (Macbook Air). I've never had this happen before. I tried Safari and the url's loaded just fine. Help! - jim
Firefox 3.6.3 Mac OSX 10.6.6 Apple Intel duo core iMac and AirMy camera is a 1Ds mk II..
and for that one it says
All versions tested. All versions tested. Supported only through Lightroom 4.1.
however, it also says
Windows XP, Vista, 7; Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6
which is plain wrong, because Canon never supported any drivers for Windows Vista or Win 7, not to speak of XP 64bit. (You cannot connect the camera via firewire, without the device drivers!) -
Links in Mail signature not working, please help me
I have created the signature in preferences + added the links
when I go to create a new message the signature is there and formatted BUT NO LINKS
do you know why this would be happening?Hi There,
By default you can’t add links but there is a trick to it that can do just that:
Write a new email, add the urls in the new email as if its a signature.
Then select the text that you wish for it to be a link and go to Edit then Add Link.
Repeat that process for all your links then Copy and paste the manually created footer with links in the signature section under preferences...
Good Luck

Hi, in our office, we send links to documents on our server with file://-URLs. In Yosemite (Mail and Messages) it is no longer possible to open these links via the services menu (open URL). Adium works. Do I have to change something in my Yosemite-Configuration? Thanks for helping. Best regards Michael
Apple broke the way Mail handles afp:// URL links in Mavericks and has finished breaking Mail in Yosemite by breaking file:// URL links as well.
AFP urls in Mavericks are mounting as volumes -
Firefox won't open url links from mail
I don't know if this question has been asked yet, but I am having problems opening links from mail. I am using Firefox 3.5.3 and Snow Leopard. Every time I click on a link in my mail firefox opens to the homepage. Firefox will only link to the proper webpage if it is already opened. Does anyone know if there is a way to link directly to the webpage when firefox is not opened?
ThanksSame thing here. Although mine just doesn't do anything. Firefox is open, but no new tab is created at all. Clicking a link in Mail does seem to activate Firefox's menu, though.
I just switched to using Firefox a few days ago, because my Safari kept crashing. Since my work is entirely on the web, I had to switch to keep functioning (but that's another issue). -
Adding Website links to Mail signatures?
I've had one for years and suddenly it's referring to the wrong Web page.
Please refresh me on how this is done...
Many thanks,OK, I go to my Web site "JMarkStrong.com", I select this URL and copy it
I then open Mail Prefs
click the "+" to add a new signature
I type JMS Photog (for the name of this signature)
inside the right panel I type "J. Mark Strong Photography
239.777.6000"
I select this text
I try to choose "Link" from the Edit menu, but it's not available.
Does this help?
Why isn't Edit>Link>Add available to paste the URL?
Thanks,
J. Mark Strong Photography

Placing a logo in Mail signature
I know how to set up a signature in Apple Mail for OSX Mavericks. But when I try to place a logo within the signature, it is not saved? Suggestions?
In addition to the string that Mr. Davis referenced, the following resource is also extremely helpful. Sometimes we need to have a little more formatting control than Mail will allow, so we need to format the signature with HTML tags. Using HTML tags we can also do other neat tricks like referencing a logo image file stored on a server so that the logo does not get attached to the message as a transferred file. We also can turn those images into links to Facebook, our websites or any other purpose. HTML signatures can be very powerful.

Mohan,PPlease have BPEL loggers both at domain and system level to DEBUG mode. Set all loggers to DEBUG as you are interested to see the entire sequence flow..however, some loggers give you unnecessary info ;/ apart from cube, activation, delivery, dispatch, persistence.
Added to this, you might want to try SOAPUI, Fiddler, HTTP Analyzer. -
Mail - url link color changes in mail signature
Hello all,
I've just tested a new signature, created in mail. In it, I use a couple of custom colors to match our company colors. Looks great.
However, when I send it out to myself to test, my email info in the signature [email protected] and our webiste url www.ddddddd.com change to the standard blue URL link color upon receipt.
I'd like folks to see them in the company colors and not as that ugly blue.
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks!
StuartHi,
Directly you can use Http://www.sap.com in the email body, then it will come as link in the Body of the email

URL link in the standard Sourcing mails
Hi All,
I am working on Sourcing 7.0 . In my production server scenario we have two URLs Internal and External.
All the sourcing emails will contain the Internal URL (sourcing server) in the mail content for the documents. So user will be not able to access the mail outside.
I want to give external URL in the URL link present in the email content for document.
>How can I achieve this?
>How can i map the internal-external URL so user can access the sourcing email and will be able to open the sourcing documents?
>In the standard email template, is there need to make changes for URL?
Please share your view.
Deepak!!!Hi Deepka,
First of all correct my understanding on your question, U want to have external (outside) URL in the internal sourcing mails sent??
PLease find the below details in case of mail changes;
1) first of all you need to create a custom mail template for this and follow step2
2) if you want to give some out side URL in the standard conent, you need to maintain the URL itself.
3) FInally associate it with the mail configuration.
Hope this helps, correct my understanding if you are looking for some other enhancements,.
Thanks

My mail signature links no longer work
my mail signature links no longer work
Hello Immunetoall,
What video links?
Are they stored locally on the computer or are you visiting a website?
What browser do you use?
Where do these videos link to? (e.g. youtube)
What happens when you click on a video link? Saying "it doesn't work" doesn't really tell me what you are seeing to be able to accurately understand your issue.

I switched browsers from Opera to the latest Firefox. I open my Thunderbird email program, attempt to link to a newspaper article URL or a link to any other site and FireFox does not open. I'm using Windows XP(SP3), Thunderbird v.8.0 and Firefox 8.0.1. I've tried modifying the profile, i.e. deleting parent lock and mime types.rdf files, as suggested in various places, unchecking read only attributes in folders, etc. but nothing has effected a change.
No problems in opening links with my old browser. In about:config, browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external is set at -1.
Yes, Firefox is already open when I click on the link embedded into an email message. If I copy and paste the link, it opens the web page with no problem. Also, if I right-click on the link in the email (usually embedded behind a button) and select "Open Link Behind Mail," it will also open the web page, however it does not jump to a Firefox window, I need to go there manually.
If Firefox is closed when I click on the link in the email message, the browser will open with the linked web page.
Here are all my browser.link.open settings:
browser.link.open_newwindow;3
browser.link.open_newwindow.disabled_in_fullscreen;true
browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external;-1
browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction;2 -
How do you link an image within a Mail signature to a website?
I do link words to a website, but I can't find how to link images in Mail signatures to websites. Could anyone help? THX!
Hi drewdollar,
If you have Acrobat, you can use the Edit Text & Images tool on the Content Editing pane of the Tools panel. Just select Edit Text & Images, and then drag the image where you'd like it to appear on the page.
