Plan promotion

Hi,
I currently have a monthly plan ($9.99 PS + LR) which expires in November. There is a promotion currently running to get a 12 month membership for $99.88. If I purchase this, can I use it when the current plan expires? If yes, what's the procedure of applying it? The promotion expires 4/22.
Thank you,
Valentin

No, you will need to cancel the present plan first then purchase the promotional plan, you can not wait till the present plan expires.

  • Why do we need to plan promotions at the lowest level of aggregation

    Hi,
The documentation says that we need to plan the promotions at the lowest level of aggregation i.e., the material level. Why? Is there a specific reason for this? Can we plan at other levels of aggregation as well? What happens if we plan at higher level;s of aggregation?
    Thanks.

I think it is possible to do it in an aggregated level however you need to define your distribution rules in order to get the desired result, you need also to consider that if distribution rules changes and the value after promotional planning returns the same value, it is possible that detailed level are not realigned to the new distribution rule (e.g. regarding another ratio).
Maybe this is one of several causes.

  • APO Demand Planning - promotion planning

    I am using APO V5.
I am interested in promotion planning, and have these two questions:
    1. Is it possible to create 'template promotions', which specify parameters such as number of periods, and use such 'template promotions' when creating an actual promotion?
    2. When I see promotion quantities in cells of an interactive DP planning book view, how can I see reference to the promotion to which the quantities refer?
    Thanks, Bob Austin

    Hi group APO,
Answer to Q1: I think the standard SAP promotion components doesn't the "template" functionality that you are looking for. However, you can create a custom program to do this.
I am thinking of the following:
    1) You will create your "promotion templates" in the standard SAP promotion planning screen.
    2) A custom ABAP program will be created which will copy a certain "promotion template" to a new promotion. The new promotion can later be edited in the promotion planning screen.  The program can use the promotion BAPIs to accomplish this (BAPI_PRMSRVAPS_GETLIST, BAPI_PRMSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI)
Answer to Q2: I am not sure I understand your question correctly. If you go the promotion planning screen, you will be able to see the promotion's "total" values and also the CVCs that has been assigned to this promotion. Alternatively, you can use program /SAPAPO/PROMOTION_REPORTING which comes handy when displaying CVCs and it's promotion or vice versa.
    Hope this helps

  • Promotion planning and lowest level KF

    Hai,
The promotion key figure has to be the lowest level of detail, which means the KF has to be the lowest in the hierarchy. This means, I can only assign promotions at the lowest level?
For example, a product called DOW white color soaps and a group level called DOW soaps. So as per the promotion planning, I can only set promotions at the DOW white color soaps and not at the group level of DOW soaps? is that true? What if I have a case that I have to specify a promotion at group.
    Thank you.

    Hi Vishu ,
Firstly let me clear you that Promotion Key figure is the key figure in which the data for the promotion is to be stored and the Promotion level is the characteristic at which level the promotion is maintained ,this may be the Locaion or the Product .Yes you need to assign promotion to the lowest level but this does not mean that you can not add promotions at higher level like product grp or Brand .
In promotion base you can define Characteristics (Grp/Brand etc) on which you want to plan promotion.
    For more clarification go thro.

  • Data plans not as good as other providers...

Sadly I am being forced to go to a different provider to get the support I want. I do not need a 30 dollar a month data plan but I do need a slider keyboard. Verizon is unwilling to provide this. There needs to be a data plan with less than 2G and less than 30 dollars.

    nothappy246,
I understand the need to have a device with a full QWERTY keyboard. They are quite functional! I'm glad to say we do have a limited time promotion for our customers eligible to upgrade. The data plan promotion includes 300 MB for 20$/month and applies to basic and smart phones! You can Contact Us for all details!
    Thank you!

  • Planning with APO

    Hi Everyone,
I have a question regarding APO and BI Integrated Planning. If we are using APO DP is it a good option to implement BI Integrated planning as well. because both of them have the same planning and forecasting strategies. Is BI Integrated Planning and alternate option for APO DP or can it be used along with APO DP for planning on certain reports. Thank you very much for your time.

    Hi Akshay27,
I have personnally never use the BI integrating planning, but based on my knowledges; hopefully somebody with more experience in this area will be able to complete this answer!
Integrated planning indeed allow to realised more and more planning using BW infrastructure. The very big advantages is the user friendliness.
However this does not exclude the use a DP. Both can be use together, for example DP for your power user and integrated planning for collaboration. DP will be the "master system" enabling you to maintain CVC, run complex statistical forecast, validate foecast.
(I have seen a simialr implementation a couple of year ago using BPS).
Note for exaple that the new functionality "customer forecast management" in SCM 7 use both DP and IP.
You mentioned the possibilty to perform statistical calculation in IP... I haven't actually seen that, but I am not convince you will have the capacity of DP (seasonal planning, promotion, like profile... MLR, POS forecast...), If you know more, please let me know.
I hope this help a bit; now if somebody could provide more information about IP, that would be great!
    Thanks and Regards

  • Data Plan promo...

My apologies if this has already been discussed..but i stumbled upon a pretty neat data plan promotion yesterday. the $10/75MB plan includes mobile email; vz navigator; and ringback subscriptions..that's a pretty good savings.
Apparently the promo started 5-26 and according to tech support/customer service there is no end date published..

I just got my 10yr old his first phone.  I got a basic phone SCH-U370, but purchased this data plan promo.  He does not Email but likes to play games.  The salesman at the store suggested this data plan b/c he could download some games but all we have found so far to download were games that you have to pay for.  Has anyone tried to play games with this phone and this data package?
    Thank you!!

  • Promotion maintenance

    Hi,
Is there a way(transaction  etc) to change the status of all 'Active' or 'Planned' promotions to 'Draft' stage? Is their a mass update program or job to achieve this other than the change of status by going into Promotions planning and changing the status there for each promotions?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Savitha

    Hi Savita,
You can do it by LSMW or BDC ( tcode SHDB ) or CAT ( tcode scat and  secatt )
or Quick test professional tool by mercury .

  • Is Weblogic right for a publishing app?

We are investigating using the weblogic application server to develop an
application that would basically retrieve news articles from an Oracle
database, format them, and push them to a user's web browser. The
application will also perform other functions, but at the end of the day
it's basically retrieving stories, formatting them, and pushing them to the
    user;s browser.
Our understanding of J2EE seems top suggest using using JSPs/JavaBeans to
connect to EJBs that would encapsulate our business logic(page constrictions
regarding what can and can not be displayed on certain types of pages).
J2EE (and particularly JSP and custom tags) seem to be a very compelling,
scalable platform. Based on existing products and planned promotions, we
anticipate approximately 1-2Million page views per day.
However, as I read the varous posts on the weblogic newsgroups I am starting
to wonder if the Weblogic app server is overkill for our project. Would a
product like ATG's Dynamo be better suited to our needs? Are there any JSP
web sites based on weblogic that have traffic values that roughly
approximate the numbers outlined above? Has anyone wrestled with this
question? If so, what was your final decision?
    Any information/feedback is welcome.
    Thanks,

It seems WL fits in well here.

There's a multitude of functionality within WL. Using each area (e.g.
JSPs, Servlets, EJBs...) optimally is critical. IMNSHO, JSPs should be
used to format the html reply. Servlets should be used to perform form
validation, communicating with EJBs - basically, all of the Java grunt
work with the exception of the core business processes. Your core
business processes will be a good place for EJBs.

Overkill? Can you honestly predict what your application's requirements
will be in 2 to 5 years? Why would you want to build your application on
a foundation of minimal functionality and have to either put up with it,
kludge it or scrap it and start over. Building on a foundation that's
proven, highly-scalable, extendable... is the right thing to do. You and
your team will certainly find ways to utilize these capabilities if they
are there. If they're not, you'll wish you had them.
    Just my opinions 2-sense.

  • CSA Queue problems

    Hi
Gurus, I need some recomendation to improve the CSA´s queue processing in CRM system.
The only applications set in CRM is Marketing Planning, Promotion, Segmentation and Master Data (Customer and Products). Well, I set up Middleware to transfered Customers and Materials from R3 to CRM only. Now we are in go live stage and  I´m  notice there are a lot queue created into Inbound Queue,  most of them (95%) are CSA* queue.
I  guest that they are creations or updates of instances like:  Business Partner, Marketing Element and Planning, It is leading serious problem of performance issue. My question are:
Why these queue are created,   if I don´t need replicated them to any system? more ever if  updates are already done on the instances!!!
Does it possible to avoid CSA* be created?
NOTE: I boosted the number of Work Process, but the processing is slow still!!!!
Thank you, I will reward good points

Complete the registration information for the Cisco Security Agent license keys by referring to License Key Registration steps
Note: Make sure to enter your correct email ID, as your license keys will be emailed to you.
When you receive your license from Cisco, copy it to the system where you are installing CSA MC, or to a file share accessible from the CSA MC system.
You can copy the license to CSA MC during the product installation. During the installation, you are prompted to copy the license into the CSA MC directory. If you choose ''YES'', you can browse to the license file on the system (or in an accessible file share), save it, and continue the installation. Or you can choose ''NO'' when prompted and copy the license when the installation has completed and the system is rebooted.
If you did not copy your license to the CSA MC directory when you were prompted during the installation, you can copy your license to CSA MC as shown:
Click Maintenance in the menu bar and select License Information. The License Information window appears.
Browse to the license file by clicking Browse.
Once the license file is located, click Upload to copy the file into the CSA MC directory.
The CSA license should appear as: csaxxxxxxxxxxx.lic , with the xs as placeholders for the numbers.

  • Is there an official Rugby World Cup App for iPhone coming any time soon?

Is there an official Rugby World Cup App for iPhone coming any time soon?

Its good to know that I am not the only one left wondering about this!
I expected the RWC 2011 website to post some information regarding this, though it appears they have something set up with Blackberry already.
I'm holding out, hoping that an official app will come along, but some of the non-official ones seem quite decent.
There seems to be a real lack of iDevice and Andriod official services/support for this RWC, which is a real shame because this would be the first RWC where you could combine the sport with great technology and communications.
To me it appears the organizers missed a great oppertuinity or suck at planning/promoting.
An iPhone/iPad official app would be fantastic!

  • Best way to go from old pc to new pc with my itunes

I have just bought a new computer with os 8 what is the best way to transfer my itunes from my old computer to the new one?

    Hey jshrews1,
Some things to consider which will assist in which direction you want to go.  Are you going to be updating the OS when you do this migration?  If you want to update the OS, say to 2012 R2 standard,  you will have to do the migration, namely
the first method.  If you are not going to update the OS, then the second or third method will work for you.
For the first method, there are plenty of technet articles that can help you. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/windowsserver/jj554790.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 is
a great resource for migrating to Windows Server 2012 R2.
For the second method,  keep in mind you are moving hardware, so you want to make sure the BMR restore you perform is able to have new drivers installed in it for the new hardware.  If you cannot push new drivers into the BMR image, you may (probably
will) experience issues with the restore, and the running of the server on the new hardware.  If you can push drivers, RAID controller drivers would be the biggest worry,  then you should be able to do the BMR, and have a working server at the end
    of the restore.
For the third method,  are you going to boot the physical to the VHD, or place it as a VM in Hyper-V?  I would recommmend Hyper-V, and if this is the case, you will need to build the hyper-V host first, before  you do anything with the current
    production server.
Which ever method you choose,  good luck with the migration.  Remember Proper Planning Promotes Peak Performance, so make sure you document all the steps you want to take before you start, this way you know you will have hit everything you want.

  • False Promo Offers

Has anyone received an offer from Verizon and tried to use it but have Verizon say that you can't or that it has expired?
Today I received a Verizon postcard in the mail offering to increase my data to 8 GB/mo with no additional fee. I call the Verizon number on the card and spoke with a Verizon rep who told me that the offer had expired yesterday.....but I had only received notification today. The rep said the promo had been going on for a couple of weeks and that maybe my mail service was slow.
I already hate Verizon because they nickel and dime you and are not competitive with others such as AT&T or TMobile. But to send my an offer because of my customer loyalty (I've had 5 lines with them for over 4 years) and then rescind the offer on the same day I receive it is just too much.
Clearly, Verizon doesn't give a crap about their customers.
Anyone else have similar issues? Is there anything that can be done or is it time to switch carriers?

Time4ATT, Im truly sorry to hear of your recent experience with the postcard and the price plan promotion. While we cannot add an expired promotion, we can always help review if there is another promotion that may benefit you. We update promos monthly, so there may very well be a new promo that can help you save. By the way, have you tried out Account Analysis? This handy tool can help review and provide auto suggestions based on your usage. It can either help find plans that can help you save, or provide you with more data for the same cost if available. • Approvals Process:  Cannot promote a Planning Unit

Hi, Am new to the Approvals process in Planning 11.1.2.2
Have set up a Planning unit and assigned owner and reviewers to entities. Approvals template is set to "Bottom Up". Have also assigned a version and scenario to the Planning Unit H. When the Planning Unit is Started , the current owner changes to the user assigned as the owner and all is good. However when the owner attemptes to promote the planning unit to the next reviewer the promotion action fails with the message "Change status cannot change ownership to the new owner due to insufficient access". For my testing, have assigned the owner and all reviewers "Approvals Administrator" access to the planning application.
Any ideas as to what access the error message is talking about ?
    Thanks !

    Dear,
-Please check with the Provision that you have given to the USER,
-Use file based export and checke wheater you missed any user to mention that hierarchy.
-IN the approval hierarchy check  every node weather you have given the user there or not, chances are that even if you miss one member you will get
    this error.
-We faced the same issue and we got resolved it by checking the Provision of the User and following the above steps
    Thanks
