Plan schduling in IP10

Hello Gurus.
I have one maintenance plan in which schduling period is 365 days & 6 month package is assigned in schduling indicator time key date option is selected now i am doing schduling start with as on start date 23.12.2010 after schduling i am getting only one call on 23.06.2011 that is after 6 months but not getting call for 23.12.2011 why?
If i schdule start on 22.12.2010 i am getting two calls 22.06.2011 & 22.12.2011is this standerd SAP?
Regards.

Yes. It is SAP standard.
The maintenance scheduling function calculates the scheduling end date at first.
The scheduling end date is 'contract end date' or 'system date + scheduling period'.
If current date is 23.12.2010, the scheduling end date is 22.12.2011.
Then the scheduling function deletes the scheduled line if the planed date is later than scheduling end date.

  • Multi counter plan schduling start date

    Dear Experts,
Anyone can clarify the following points to provide proper support to client.
    1. we have created multi counter plan with cycle set contains of different target counter readings with logical condition OR.
    2. Now users are recording the counters via measuring documents.
    3. we are mannually scheduling the above M.Plan. System is deriving the order start date on its own. we want to know the basis behind deriving the order start date? userrs wants starting date on its own, can system will support with ant exit?
    4. what is the significance of annual estimate reading in the measuring point? how it help to derive the planned start date of M.Order?
    5. users also wants that, system should check measuring documents on its own while creating measuring documents and should result the order if it crosses the limit of the cycle set mentioned in the M.Plan. Is it possible to support the scenario?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Krishnamurthy

    Krishnamurthy,
    3) Do a manual call of the Maintenance plan, this would be the easiest way, instead of using exits
    4) For performance based MP,The [calculated planned date|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/3c/abb1ec413911d1893d0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm] depends on the counter reading at the time of planning, and the estimated annual performance that has been defined for the counter.Hence it is important that you enter measurement readings for the counter,e even-though the reading has not changed.
    5) With respect to your last question, That functionality is accomplished through Condition based maintenance functionality. You will have to use the user exit to generate a order when the reading falls outside pre-determined values.

  • Maintenance Plans

Does anyone know if it is possible to create one Maintenance Plan for one piece of equipment that will create two scheduled visits for exactly the same date.
    Thanks Paul

    hi paul,
as said before have a look at hirearchy options for packages in strategy based plans and in IP10 u can also use the option of creating manual calls without affecting your normal scheduling .... you can create a manual call for generation of call object on  any date and mentioning the package you want to include in this date and for 09 month as below u can have a manual call ....  remember call horiozn will not be considered for manual calls ...

  • Preventive Maintenance Planning - change call date of future calls

    Hello,
we are using time based maintenance plans to schedule our maintenance obligations towards customers. After creating the plan and scheduling (IP10) we get the scheduled calls proposed by the system.
Now we want to use IP10 or IP19 to move those planned call dates that are in the future without releasing the predecssor calls but it gives us an error: "Maintenance plan 16.04.2009: Predecessor to still on hold".
Does anyone know if there is a way around this?
    Thanks,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias
As per your query... you cannot move the call dates which are in the future. First you have to skip the cal which are before the future cal date. then only you can do...

  • Start in IP41 and IP10

    Hi guys,
Hope you are doing fine...Am just entering into PM module for a new client. Am a MM person and really struggling here.
    1) What is the use of the Start button in IP41. In my current client they are asking me to not to hit the START BUTTON while saving IP 41 . But they are asking me to go to IP10 and there they are asking me to give the Start button. What difference does it make to start the maintenance plan in IP41 (or) IP10.  What is the idea behind not starting the maintenance plan and then again scheduling it in IP10?   Please explain.
    2) Also what is "Start in cycle"  and Restart used in IP10
    3) What is the difference between IP10 and IP30?
    Thanks,
    Sylvia

    Dear Friend,
IP41 is used to have single cycle plan, where as IP10 is scheduling of single maintenance plan.
start in cycle at IP10 is  to have counter to start your maintennace plan.
i mean to say for example, if your equipment frequency is monthly, quaterly, yearly. if you already done monthly maintenance but you want SAP should generate maintenance orders from quaterly onwards, in that case for that particular maintenance plan if you use start in cycle you can set system to generate new orders with quaterlky chceks  and continues as follows.
IP30 is dead line monitoring where you can set all your maintenance plans in background for scheduling.
first create variants for your plans and use programme RISTRA20 to set it in background.
Using IP30 you can generate maintenanc eorders for all your plans, where as IP10 is to generate for single plan.
    Hope you got an idea.

  • Segregating maintenance plan with reference to planner group & cycle.

    Hi,experts,
Is there any t-code to search maintenance plan as per planner group as well as cycle length?I tried with t-code IP15, but there is neither planner group or maintenance item field?please, suggest .thanks in advance.

    Hi,
There is no relationship or filed which directly u can get like planner gr,section etc. One way  can use is use filed named as Maint Plan Sort Field. Provide here some details after making proper codification through Customeriastion.
One way Like Maint plant + Planner Gr = Maint Plan Sort.
Attach appropriate sort filed in each plan then with ip10,1p30,1p19,ip24 u can retrive the information.

  • Calibration of measuring equipments

Hi, How to maintain the calibration data in SAP using QM Module?Pls mention the t-codes related?

    Hi,
Please follow the following prcoess flow
You can create a maintenance strategy(IP11) for the calibration of equipment mean to say in what frequency calibaration is carried out either monthly, weekly or yearly.
Assign this strategy to the task list.after that follow the process steps as explained.
Once scheduling is carried out in IP10,according to the strategy maintained in task list, system will generate maintenance calls.for example if calibration is carried out monthly and scheduling is done for the period of 12 months, system will generate 12 maintenance calls.once first call is finished do deadline monitoring(iw38),system will automatically created maintenance order for the second call.
Calibration flow almost follows the preventive maintenance cycle except inspection point is assigned in task list.
Process flow(assuming test equipment and master data created)
IA05- Create General Task list(Enter inspection point :300,operation,inspection charactertics to the operation, usage)
IP01-Create maintenance plan( Use maintenace startegy of plant, enter equipment, select general task list for plan the equipment, enter call horizon, planning cycle schduling period)
IP10-Schedule the plan Schedule the plan for the quantity with frequency defined in the plan.Which schdule the according to the schdule date.Schedule date generates pm order for the plan on due date.
    IW33-Display order.
QE51-Calibration result recording for equipment- Gives status for result i.e ok or not ok.
    QA11-Lot usage decision
    IW41-Confirmation for the order.
    Hope it helps

  • QM & PM Calibration Process Configuration

    Hi
I wanted to configure a calibration process. I have made the settings for PM and QM integration but unfortunately in our implementation QM is not in scope but I need to do the QM settings which will be required for calibration. Can anyone provide me a configuration document for calibration process which contains the settings for QM as well as for PM.
    Thanks a lot for help.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vineet

    Dear  Vineet,
In  QM SPRO you have to assign  inspection type 14which is for  inspection in plant maintenance. Also you have to maintain number  range for this. most of  work in calibration  belongs to PM only.
    Following is the flow:
    1) IE01 : Create test quuipment.
    2) QDV1: Create sampling procedure for plant mentenance.
    3) IP42 : Create maintenance plan for equipment.
    4) IA01 : Create equipment task list.
    5) IP02 : Assign task list to maintenance plan.
    6) IP10 : Schedule  maintenance plan.
    6) IP30 : Deadline monitoring of maintenance plan.
    7) IP24 : Viewing schedule for calibration with order released.
    8) QE71 / QE53 : Calibration Result recording  and UD.
This is the way i have mapped  the  calibration process.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Multiple strategy counter based

    Hi guys,
once we set up a maintenance plan and schedule it....lets say we create a measuring point and had given the initial value as 5000 miles in measurement document and maintaining the same 5000 mi as start counter reading in maintenance plan...so work order shd get genrated once it reaches every 5000 miles when measurement document get updated.
but when I scheule the maintenace plan...ip10 i find some dates specified even for future also.how the dates can be in there as nobody knows when it reached 5000 miles?
even if we create thru single cycle plan...we wll give the frequncy as 5000 mi in the cycle and whn i scheule it...i am seeing some dates in the future...this is just because I maintinaed the scheduling period? normally timebased will only have the dates rite.
    pls advice
    regards,
    vijay

    Hi
The Measurement counter always run and schedule on the annual estimate, When ever you provide the annual estimate it will always schedule it for the whole year calculate the future dates on the basis of annual estimate of values.
However you can change the scheduling period from Transaction IP10> TAB Maintenance Plan Scheduling Parameters-> Call Control Parameter and here you can adjust the required time for generating call object
and similarly you can adjust the above parameters in transaction IP43 --> Maintenance Plan scheduling parameters ---> Call control parameter and schedperiod

  • Cfalibration of test equipment.

    Hi,
My clinet is working on calibration scenario. Here calibration of some equipment is done by maintenance department . So I would like to know what are the different setting i have to do before creating calibration order(PM06). I konw for that i have to create master data for testing equipment (Q).
I am facing problem in QM point of view.So it is integration of PM-QM so i would know how

  • Automatic Mantenace order creation

    Gurus,
I have created the plan in IP02.In the Maint Plan Scheduling Parameters i have given call horizon 100% & schedule period 365.
I want the system to generate maintenace (IE-1 order for 1 day.)Is the parameter maintained correct?

    Murugan
1- Create Maintenance Plan (generic t-code for any kind of plan: IP01) for the equipment, with cycle 1 day, and maintain rest of the parameters as you mentioned. Assign task list to the plan (if u are using any) and save
2- Schedule the plan (t-code: IP10), that will give you the call dates (when your orders are to be created). Now if you want to manually release the call, you can do that directly from there
3- For automatic generation of order on the planned date, go to Deadline Monitoring (IP30), enter the duration for which you want to generate orders and execute. This will result in generation of orders on the specified dates

  • QM and EHS Integration points

    Hi Experts,
Is there any combination for QM and EHS (Environmental Health & safety Module)
I know its deferent module but clients required to implement some main scenario's
pls help me to send what are functionality of EHS with combination QM module
    How to configure it
    Regards
    Shiva Patil

    hi anish,
plz note tht their is no direct integration of QM nd PS .
1.if ur reqirement is like if u want to test the project material then you can activiate QM tab in MM02 and so while doing GR of project materials inspection lot gets triggerred and you can carry out your testing cycle and you need to mention data related to sampling procedure and sampling size...etc
2.You can trigger inspection lot via PM also by the following procedure....
1.Create tht plant as eqpt in PM IE01,
2.Create a WBS in ur proj and assign ur eqpt for tht WBS.
3.Now you can carry out ur testing process tht eqpt in PM .
4.Congif for testing in PM , create order type PM05 , assign 14 inspection type to ur order type.
    5.Create characteriscs in CTO4.
6.Goto qs21and create MIC nd use the above charcteristics created in CTO4.
7.Goto ia05 nd enter ur eqpt no nd maintain tasklist nd inspection point 300 to be maintained in task list for eqpt.
8.in ip41 ur maintenance category would be inspection lot ,
enter ur eqpt no,tasklist, cycle as every30days. nd maintain start of cycle nd save the plan, got to ip10 nd click start nd this wil schedule ur plan.
9.This wil generate your inspection lot for every thirty days and you can do results recording in QE51N,nd usage decision in QA11.
Take the help of PM consultant...ther is do direct integration of PS nd QM...

  • Change documents list if somone restarts the plan in IP10

    Hi all,
How can i see the change documents list of IP10, I NEED TO SEE THE DETAILS IF SOMEONE HAS RESTARTED THE PLAN.
    Thanks
    Anish

    hi,
To view the person just go to IP10 again and enter the plan no and then go to extras and click on administrator information. It shows the person created and changed with dates.
or just press F5 after opening the screen with IP10.
    OR
Go to IP15 and enter the sort field and execute. After execution go to change layout and set layout there you can view the filelds changed by.

  • IP10 parameters in strategy plan

    Hello,
We're trying to implement the strategy maintenance plans in our company. Taking a look to the help.sap.com we've ascertained the use of the parameters in maintenance plans and the use of strategy.
    We've followed the steps:
    1-Creating the strategy: three cycles (1-every two months, 2-every 6 months, 3-every 12 months).
2-Implement the strategy in the task list at every operation.
3-IP01: Creating the strategy maintenance plan with the task list and associated parameters.
4-IP10: we have scheduled the maintenance plan.
Our problem: the strategy works, but none of the parameters in the tab 'scheduling parameters' work in the way that SAP explains in help.sap.com (horizon, shift factor, tolerance...). We're using time-key date as scheduling indicator. The unit in scheduling is 'month'.
Do you know the reason? Is there any incompatibility between scheduling parameters and strategies?
    Thank you,
    Óscar

    Hi
See... i am giving examples for you
This is done with 7 mon scheduling and 100% horizon...
Sno           Plan Date                 Call Date                                   Stratergy   Status
    1     11.04.2009     11.04.2009          1M     New start  Hold
    2     11.05.2009     11.05.2009          1M     Scheduled  Hold
    3     10.06.2009     10.06.2009          1M 3M     Scheduled  Hold
    4     10.07.2009     10.07.2009          1M     Scheduled  Hold
    5     09.08.2009     09.08.2009          1M     Scheduled  Hold
    6     08.09.2009     08.09.2009          1M 3M     Scheduled  Hold
    7     08.10.2009     08.10.2009          1M     Scheduled  Hold
since the horizon was 100% it has taken the call date as plan date...
    If u give as 90 %
    1     11.04.2009     08.04.2009
    2     11.05.2009     08.05.2009
    3     10.06.2009     07.06.2009
    4     10.07.2009     07.07.2009
    5     09.08.2009     06.08.2009
    6     08.09.2009     05.09.2009
    7     08.10.2009     05.10.2009
Since 90% for one month will take 3 days... so.. the cal date is on 8.04.2009
Then... When you are talking about shift factor... it will depend on the date you complete the order... it will calculate according to the date of release and completion of order...
Plan is created with respect to horizon only...
if you have more query.. reply me..
