Planned delivery time & GR Processing time

Hi all,
I would require a clarification on this one,
Scenario - After an MRP run, the Purchase Requisitions for materials are generated & the order release date is being calculated by subtracting only the planned delivery time from the requirement date. But to the best of my knowledge
"Purchase Order release date = Requirement date - (Planned delivery date + GR Processing time)"
Solution required - Is my understanding correct & if so, where should i make the changes to include the GR processing time for the computation of order release date. Is there any other field which i need to add to my PO release date computation. An early response in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Vivek

Hi,
The order release date simply takes the requirement date and subtracts the planned delivery period (as you have indicated).
But this has ALREADY taken the GRP time into account and so you don't nedd to (and shouldn't) add it in again.
For example,
Material A has a Planned delivery period of 10 days and a GRP time of 3 Days. The date that the production order is to be started is 30 July.
The MRP run sees the requirement date as 30 July but it also sees the 3 days GRP and so it asks for the item to be delivered 3 days prior to this date (27th July).
The planned delivery period is 10 days and so the PO will need to be created by the 17th July.
So the dates are correct and do not need any further changes.
If you were to take the GRP time off again this would be wrong.

  • High roll wait time, gui time and processing time

    Hi all,
We are having a performance issue with the system at the moment. After running ST03N and STAD, we have determined that we are having abnormally high roll-wait, GUI and processing times.
Here are some results from STAD:
    CPU time: 2956ms
    Processing time: 4417ms
    Roll wait time: 1319ms
    GUI Time: 2859ms
Can someone direct me towards finding the problem?
If you need more information please let me know. I would post a screenshot if I was able to.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Regarding Performance Of SAP system it will not be possible to Come to conclusion with the one Single data.
GUI time is basically the time spent in front end i.e Your Network load or such time
Coming to CPU time Can you see ST06 what is the CPU Utilization of your system?
Roll Wait time is the time Spent in buffer if you can share us the OS and Memory configuration.
We can Try to tune the Roll memory ( extended memory tuning) so that we can try to reduce the Roll time.
If possible try to find the Top Dialog Response Time Transaction Is it Standard or for Z Programs.

  • Planned delivery cost invoice against time dependent condition

    Hi,
Client  is  currently using time independent agreement but now they want to track the price changes hence we suggested for time dependent condition agreement . Since LPA agreement is having master condition system doesnt allow us to do the MIRO for the custom duty prior to goods receipt.
We applied OSS note 1593979  for time dependent condition issue but still we are facing same issue .
In india , for Import purchase  we need to post the custom invoice before goods receipt .

  • MD04- show delivery date when using a GR processing time

    Hi all,
If you have a planned delivery time as well as a GR processing time on the material master- is there a way of showing the actual delivery date (from the PO) and not the total lead time (planned delivery date + GR processing date)?
    Thanks in advance.
    J

I think that there's a button on the bottom of MD04 labeled "GR" and switches to "AV", that you can use exactly for that, switching between the two types of lead time.

  • MRP Planned order finish Date calculation (Planned delivery + GR Proc.time)

    Dear Gurus,
Currently in our system, when MRP runs, Planned orders are created and the order finish date is calculate based on Purchasing processing time OMEW + Planned Delivery time from Material Master + GR processing time from material Master.
My business requirement is that,  system has to take only Planned Delivery time + GR Processing time and exculde Purchasing PRocessing time.
I cant make it Purchasing Processing time as ZERO - because this is used for other Purchase orders and KPI will be affected for procurement department
Now we are going to Automate the Purchase orders for Materials - if outline agreement exist.
How to make system settings for a MRP run, the Planned order finish date - should consider only Planned delivery time from Material master + GR Processing Time ( it should exculed Purchasing PRocessing time). Is it posssible? if not by any user exit, ABAP coding should be done?
    gurus please advice!
BADI : MD_PLDORD_CHANGE - is this can be used?
    Please advice

  • Planned orders are not taking into account the processing time

    Hi,
Could you please tell me why planned orders quantities are not based on processing time from the material master.
Materials was set before with 1 day in house production , no matter of lot size.
Based on routings I updated material master with processing time depending on lot size.
What is bottering me now is that planned orders are not taking into account processing time. (e.g.  based on my processing time 1000 pce are produced  in 3 days, but planned orders show me that 1000 pce are still need  in 1 day , but it  can not be produced in 1 day   ).
    what did I miss?
Thanks a lot for any information!

    Hello Simona
The in house production time from tab MRP 2 is lot size independent.
However, on tab work scheduling you can define a lot size dependent times.
Please observe that, if you have entered an in house production time, the processing time will not be considered. The F1 help of the field provides the following explanation:
You can define work scheduling times in the material master record in one of two ways:
Either you enter the in-house production time. If required, you can get the system to update this value from the routing.
Or you enter the setup, teardown, processing, and interoperation times. If you maintain these values, the system determines the in-house production time on the basis of lot size.
Therefore, if you want to consider the processing time, you should remove the in house processing time.

  • GR processing time difference for PO/STO scheduling in ECC & APO

    Hi All,
We are facing issue of PO scheduling in ECC & APO----
--   In ECC, system calculates requirement date with planned delivery time +GR processing time but during addition of GR processing time it excludes weekends( Saturday & Sunday) However in APO, system calculates requirement date by addition of GR processing time in the planned delivery time but it includes weekends & eventually requirement date mismatch.
-- Secondly we are using handling resource for scheduling purpose in APO but we found start time is different for differnent handling resources e.g. 14.00,16.00 ,from where the system picks up the timings
-- In APO product master ,GR processing time is 1 day but during PO scheduling, system picks 3 days & calculats requirement date ,its strange for me
Is there any way out for above mentioned issues
Thanks in advance for your help
    Kind regards
    Milind

    Hi,
Please check the factory calendars and time stream ids. The working schedule of APO should match with ECC.
The location master also needs to be checked for what time stream is attached there and what is the working schedule.
    Thanks,

  • Purchase Requisition Processing Time

I am currently facing an issue with the purchase requisitoin processing time functionality. It does not appear to work for items without a material master. So if I create a purchase requisition with material master line items and non-material master line items only the material master line items will have the delivery date increased by the purchase requisitoin processing time. Is this standard SAP or a bug?

    Dear MM Project.
PR processing time/ GR processing time etc are fields which are mentioned in the material master for each material.
while you process the document with a master record, these details make an impact in those documents. however we may or may not have master records for consumables. the consumables which have a master record will show this impact. these are material types UMBW and NLAG.
for consumables which doesnt have any master record, you can not expect system to impact these values.
hence if you need to have the impact of PR processing time, please create a master record for all those materials and process documents further.

  • Regarding planned delivery time for Subcontracting process

1.Factory calender is maintained  and assigned to the plant,SUNDAY is
not working day for Client,so the system is not planning any internal
activities for SUNDAY,up to here it is fine.
2.One semi finished material is produced by vendor.i.e.Sub contracting
process, it takes 2 days to complete. For vendor SUNDAY is not a
    working day.
3.Planned delivery time is maintained as 2 days ,so that if PO is
release on MONDAY ,the delivery date on WEDNESDAY.
4.If  requirement is on MONDAY ,In MRP Run System is generating the
release date on SATURDAY and delivery date on MONDAY,here system is
taking the calender days not the factory calender days,Client is
    asking for correct delivery date.
5.Is there any way to tell the system that SUNDAY is not working day
for vendor,so that system will generate the release date on FRIDAY
    and delivery date on MONDAY.
    Please give your valuable inputs.

  • System is not considering Planned Delivery time

    Dear Gurus,
As iam planning for the month of January and running the MRP,schedulelines are getting generated but system is not condering Planned Delivery time maintained in the material master ie. 7days.Following is the example:
I have a FERT-X with a component A-1PC in its BOM and its planned delvery time from vendor is 7 Days.If iam running the MRP on 13/12/2010 for FERT-X  100 PCS for January1,2011 then the schedule lines are getting generated for for component A is on 01/01/2011.But PDT is maintianed in material master is 7 days and same has been maintianed in vendor inforecord. But system is not considering it.
Kindly help to resolve the issue.
    With Regards.

I have one ROH which has two different vendors.
Two scheduling Agreemnt with target qty 100000 kg each.
Two different Vendor info record with Min. order qty maintained.V1-1000Kg,V2-6000Kg.
One source list with two vendors and with respective scheduling agreement.
Quota arrangement is there in which SOB is maintiained 50:50.
I hv the requirement of 3084 kg of ROH.
I run the MRP and two diiferent schedule lines are getting generated with 50:50 qty as mentioned in Quota arrangement.
Not considering the minimum order qty maintiained in vendor info record.
    The above process is correct
Only One doubt In Quota Arrangement?
IS two schedule line is created after MRP run?
Generally System will  select a vendor Whose Quota value is less
quota rating   = quota base quantity + quota-allocated quantity/ quota

  • Is planned delivery time is considered in scheduling agreement ????

    Hi experts
problem is that the schedule lines (for external procurement) generated from MRP are not taking the "" Planned delivery time into consideration"". System is only taking the G.R processing time.
I have mentioned the Planned delivery time in .
    1) Scheduling agreement for 1 day.
    2) In material master for one day.
    3) In info record 1 day.
e.g Suppose req date is 13.07.2008. MRP run date 4.07.2008.
    a) Planned delivery time = 1 day . B) G .R processing time = 3 days.
Now when i run the MRP on 4.07.2008.
Schedule line is generated on - 10.07.2008
Please Guide . How i can take care of that time which is requiered at vendor ends.
    Regards
    Rahul Bhardwaj

Go to OPPQ for that plant
Click on "External Procurement " tab and check if you have maintained any planned delivery time?
Tick indicator " Scheduling info record/agreement " (This will take Planned del time specified in scheduling info rec or agreement)

  • Planned delivery time

    Hi,
I have created a sale order on 1/7/2009 with a material which has planned delivery time of 4 days.
Now when I go to the schedule lines screen I see that the delivery date corresponding to the confirmed quantity is 1/8/2009.
Why is not SAP taking the 4 days into considerations while determining the delivery date?
Please see below the screen shots:

    Hi,
You seems confused with planned delivery time in MRP 2 view of material master to Sales order delivery date.
Material master Planned delivery time is for the material which is procured externally  through PR -- PO process.
In Sales order the delivery date is with respect the ATP--Avalible to Promise.
If the stock is avalible in the storage location on the date of Sales order creation, then system will consider the delivery date an the basis of confirmed qty in the sales order. You can check in CO09 for confirmed qty.

  • Planned Delivery Time and Transportation duration- Tlane and Means of Transportation

    Dear Experts ,
I have question regarding lead time calculation my SNP
    I have
    Start Location : A
    Destination location: B
I maintained Planned delivery time in ECC- material master as 10 days  and cifed to Tlane Product procurement as 10 days
and leave empty in the transportation duration empty so the total lead time is 10 days from start location A to destination location  B
    now
I maintain 24 hours in Means of transport as transportation duration by truck
now the lead time is 11 days from start location A to destination location B
    Now
i leave empty planned delivery time empty and maintain Means of transport duration as 48 hours
so the lead time is 2 days from A to B
does my understanding is correct or not advise please
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
Take a look of these notes. Specially SAP note 379006. This note explains how the system sets the times in ECC and APO. Basically, It recommends a BAdI in order to match the delivery date in ECC and APO (transit time). What I recommend is to set delivery time equal to 0 if this is possible in your company.. This is not an SAP recommendation, because the delivery date is a key master data in the purchasing process and making it equal to 0 could not be allowed.. Now, if its possible in your case, it is the easiest way to ensure consistency...
    These are the notes:
    379006
    - Transport duration and planned delivery time in APO and R/3
    441622
    - Supplying-plant-dependent planned del. time/trans. time
    624982
    - Incorrect dates for RBA controlled stock transfer

  • Consider planned delivery time field in MRP Areas

    Hi,
I would like to know if the "Consider Planned Delivery Time" field in the MRP areas is taken into the scheduling of materials during MRP run? From the help documentation, it seems to be yes. Otherwise the system will take the Planned Delivery Time from the Plant level. May I ask how we can tick this field for all materials? We are currently in the process of activating the MRP areas in our system. Before, we didn't use the MRP areas but we think the need for it has arrived. Is there a mass maintenance tool to do this? Or do I have to use LSMW? Thanks!
    Regards,
    Chester

    Hello Chester
If you flag the field "consider planned delivery time" the planned delivery time defined on the MRP area will be considered by MRP. You should tick it for all the materials if the value from the MRP area should be considered.
Also, the report RMMDDIBE can be used for mass processing of MRP areas.
