Planned order with Lot size and Planning Calendar in MRP
Hi All
I request your help in understanding MRP results in below mentioned scenario:
Material: A
Planning Calendar: D1 (Monday only)
MRP Type: PD
Lot size: Z1 (this is copy of PK with Period Start = Start Date)
Safety Days Time: 3
Safety time indicator: 2
In house Production time: 1
I am running MRP with
NETCH
Planning mode: 3 (Delete and recreate planning)
scheduling: 2 (lead time scheduling)
"My PIRs are:
"Date--------------------PIR -----Receipt------Avail Qty------ATP Qty ----Actual Cover
"Friday :08.4.11" ---- "-100" ------ "0" ---- "-100.00" ------ "0" ---- "-5"
"Monday: 11.4.11" --- "-200" ----- "0" ----- "-300.00" ------ "0" ----- "-2"
"Wed : 12.4.11" --- "0" ---- "370" ---------- "70.00" --------"20"----- "5"
"Thursday 14.4.11" --- "-50" ------ "0" -------- "20.00" ------- "0" ------"3"
"Saturday 16.4.11" -- "-10" ---------- "0" ------- "0.00" -------- "10" ----- "1"
"Sunday 17.4.112" ---- "-10" ------- "0" ------- "0.00" ---------- "0" ----- "0"
"Tuesday 19.4.11" --- "0" ------- "2000" ------- "2000.00" ------ "2000" --- "6"
"Thursday 21.4.11" -- "-1000" ------ "0" -------"1000.00" ------- "1000" --- "4"
"Monday 25.4.11" --- "-1000" ------- "0" ---------- "0" ----------- "0"------- "0"
"Tuesday 26.4.11"---- "0" -------- "100" -------- "100" -------- "100" ----- "3"
"Friday 29.4.11" --- "-100" ---- "0" ------ "0" -------- "0" -------- "0"
I am executing MRP on 7.04.11
As shown above the, can you please explain why the planned order is on Wed 12th and it covers 5 days requirement and similarly Tuesday 19th and covers 6 days.
I am not able to relate the relation between Planning calendar and Lot size procedure used. Also what would happen if I make planning calendar valid for two days in a week.
Thanks in advance
Rahul
Thanks dear
Yes you are right the Planning Calendar starts 18.4.11 and ends 24.4.11
Now as far as first planned order is concerned I thought it should be scheduled to start&end on Monday 11.04.11, rather it starts&ends on Tuesday 12.4.11. Also the actual coverage days goes up to 5 days even though its maintained for 3 days.
Similarly the second planned order also comes up on Tuesday 19.04.11 and covers 6 days (more than the setting and planning Calendar of only Monday)
On the whole this is confusing me on Lot size and Planning Calendar relation and how it impacts MRP. Can you please help me on this.
Also if you can throw some details on: how to restrict MRP to give planned order only on, say, Monday and Thursday, as only then it could be produced.
Thanks in advance
Rahul

Planning time fence with Lot size MB
Hi Friends,
I am facing one issue as below,
I am using MRP type P3 , Planning time fence is 20 days , Lot size is MB (Monthly). I am not using MRP group.
Planning time fence should be calculated as Todays date+Planning time fence on MRP1 but if the calculated date with this formula is going in next month system takes first date of next following month as Planning time fence (effect of lot size MB).
WIth lot size EX , it works fine.
Can we avoid shifting of Planning time fence to first date of following month with lot size MB?
Thanks.
SandeepI got a workaround , I have used 2 lot sizing procedure in a sigle lot size. Daily lot size (for Short term) and Monthly lot size for Long term. For short term requirements are grouped for 28 days. Closing the thread. Thanks.

Select BOM as per lot size against planned quantity
Dear all
i hav prob. releated select BOM as per lot size against planned quantity , suppose i hav monthly plnned order for
1000 nos. quantity and having two alternative BOMs like lot size 0 to 500 and 0 to 200 , so after MRP run system should create planned order(inhouse prod.) as per lot size i.e. 500 x1 and 200x 2 ., how is it possible please guide me .
thankx in advancedcreate a two production version , if the plan quantity is more than 200 system will take the Alternative BOM and take the BOM ( 0-500 ) otherwise system will take the BOm ( lotsize 0-200).
Or
Create a Production version, Manually change the PV as per your requirement , And rerun MRP with delete a recreate option

Report for PO's/Pr's/Planned orders with exception code
Hi all,
Is there any report which lists out Purchase Orders/Purchase requisitions/Planned orders for a specific exception message number?
For example when MRP is run some times the finish date for a planned order may be in past (exception message number 07). I would like to get a list of all the planned orders with exception message number 07. Similarly i would like to get PO's/PR's for a specific exception code.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Avani.Hi Neetha,
You can use the Collective access tab on the MD06 T-Code, don't enter a material number, only the plant number and MRP Controller number. Then click on the tab marked Exception Groups, check box number 7 and execute the report. This will give you a list of all materials with exception group 7. If you need it as a report. Once the report comes up you can click on MRP List on the tool bar at the top of the page and then click print. This will format it so you can download it into excel by clicking on the Local File Button. When the box comes up click on spreadsheet and save it to your hard drive as an excel spreadsheet.
Hope this is of some help to you.

Problem when creating planned order with MRP run
Hello,
I create a material with a fix reorder point, MRP type VB. When I run MRP with MD03 on this material I have several problems :
- planned order is created with an opening date in the past, so I have error 'Opening date in the past' in MD04. How can I generate a planned order with opening date not in the past
- when changing manually opening date, after running again MD03, I have error 'No BOM selected'. Material is configurable, has a text BOM, a routing and a configuration profile. What is the problem? When modifying planned order, I have message :
Material requires configuration
Message no. 61259
Diagnosis
Orders and requirements for a configurable material must have characteristic values.
Usually, you should create a variation for configurable materials managed in inventory management which has the default variant configuration.
System Response
MRP: Requirements without characteristic values for a material cannot be planned in MRP.
Procedure
Check requirements or orders.
Create a configuration evaluation for the material in the material master record if necessary.
Thanks in advance.Hi
I am facing the problem. Could you please tell me if you have resolved the above problem? If yes, Could you please provide me as how you resolved? Thanks in advance.

Creating planned orders with BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3
Dear all,
I have to create planned orders in our APO-system ... This works fine with function BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3, until I try to create a planned order with a configurable material ... I added values to the following tables: cfg_headers, cfg_instances and cfg_values but still I am not able to create a planned order ... Maybe I don't fill the correct fields in the mentioned tables ? Can anyone tell me which fields they fill to create planned orders with configurable materials ? I used the fields that are required according to the SAP-help, but it seems that my values are possibly wrong ... Maybe an example can help me too ?
Thanks in advance !!!

Where/ how do I set SNP to create Planned orders with multiple line items?
Hi
Currently our SNP is generating planned orders on a daily basis, it creates a single order with a single line item per location.
Where/ how do set SNP to create planned orders on a daily basis to generate a single order with multiple line items per location, so therefore one planned order with multiple line items for a single location.
Thanx
KeeganHi Keegan,
In SNP (APO) it is not possible to create order with multiple line items.
But you can do some settings so that while planning system can do aggregation and disaggregation.
But your requirment should be set on Aggregation/Dis-aggregation logic.
Please follow the follwing links:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/2c/c557e9e330cc46b8e440fb3999ca51/content.htm
Aggregation:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/42/f731d078e73ee4e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
Disaggregation:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/a6/ebefaf32e22e468355da304cc59387/content.htm
Please be sure that the setting of this logic will be at planning area level.
You can't change aggregation/disaggregation logic further.

How to generate SNP planned order with different category
Our SNP system receives Forecast and Salse Order from DP system.
and we'd like to generate SNP planned order with different category..for example, 'AI' for Forecast Demand and 'AL' for Sales Order..
currently, If we run CTM, system generate SNP planned order with the
same category 'AI'..
another system(APS) in Our company receives planned order from SNP
and they want to receive planned order for forecast and planned order for sales order seperately..It is not directly achievable however can be done through BADIs and two CTM profile. I am assuming that sales orders are planned ahead of Forecast demands. So have two CTM profiles - one for Sales Orders (regenerative mode) and the other for Forecast Demands (net change mode). You may have to invoke two BADIs in the first run for Sales Orders - one that changes master data by putting a temperory Forecast Horizon in SNP2 tab (BADI /sapapo/ctm_matloc). The other BADI (BADI /sapapo/ctm_orders) changes the ATP category just before saving. in the second run though you just need to run the latter BADI by saving it in the ATP category required. BADIs can be invoked based on CTM profiles used.

Lot size (materials planning)
Dear All
Pl explain me in details Concept of Lot size and its relavance in Planing of material
Regards
ManojHi,
MRP will firstly determine the EXACT qty required.
It then looks at the Lot size indicator on the material to see what should actually be ordered / produced.
You might indicate an "exact" lot size, in which case it does just that, it tries to procure the exact amount it has determined.
You might want the system to replenish up to maximum stock and so the lot size would cause the exact requirement to be change to the qty to bring the stock up to the maximum qty.
You might want the system to bundle together the requirements over X days, weeks or months etc. and so produce one large requirement instead of one for each.
You can even get the system to determine if it is cheaper to have large stocks and few PO charges or more frequent POs and so cheaper storage costs.
there are lost of lots sizes and they all try to bring in sensible quantities, instead of just what is immediately required.

Plan order is considering saturday and sunday as working day.
Hi All,
I have a problem where saturday and sunday is being conidered as working day when a plan order is created (Either manually or Automatically). But in calender assigned to this plant, saturday and sunday is assigned as holiday.
But when we convert the same plan order which has Saturday as Order start, the Basic start date of production order is moved to Firday.
EG. Plan order - XXXXXX has order finish date as 22-Aug-2011. Inhouse lead time is 2 days. So system takes 20-Aug-2011 as order srat date in plan order.
But when same Plan order is converted to Production order, then the Basic order start date is moved to 18-Aug-2011 and it says that 20-Aug-2011 and 21-Aug-2011 is maked as holiday in calender.
Can some one please suggest why is plan order considering Saturday and Sunday as working day.Hi,
Check the factory calendor assigned to plant which is referenced in plan order and teh factory calendor assigned to work center which is used in elad time scheduling in production order.. are they same?
Check how they ahve maintined..?
