Planning Application 11.1.2 Cannot Deploy Application from Workspace
Hi All,
Everytime I try to deploy a Planning EPMA app, I've got the following error :
Error Reported:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
Action aborted.
Log file Says nothing but:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
The valdation run as well without any issue, but the deployment returns this error.
Does anyone could help me on that ?
My Environment:
Hyperion: 11.1.2
OS: Linux Red Hat 5 64bits
DB : Oracle
IIS6
Thanks
Hi Celvin
I see this article on KB after reading DattaRay's commend. It suggests that Essbase Studio should be installed for Essbase applications to be deployed.
Validation of Essbase EPMA Application Results in Error "Status: 500 - Internal Server Error" (Doc ID 1350014.1)

1) Undeploy your project using SDM [RemoteGUI], or else ask your basis person to remove that particular project's .EAR file.
2) If you have a clustered server ,follow this sequence
a) Stop the Clustered Server
b) Stop the Local Server
c) Start the Local Server
d) Start the Clustered Server
3) Try to deploy your application once again

Applications are updating but cannot install Application Manager?
Applications are updating but cannot install Application Manager? Each time I try to open Application manager it tries to install every time.After installing several times I was able to finally see the problem. It says it cannont install because some Adobe program is running. I donot see anything Adobe running except for Application Manager in TaskManager.
Ok, here is what the box that comes up says:
We've encountered the following issues:
Other instances of Adobe Application Manager are currently running which must be closed before installing this product. Please close or wait for them to complete.
I checked control panel and only see the CS6 Master suite and Adobe Help Manager listed, not the Application Manager. Before I reinstalled I used The Adobe Clean tool to remove all programs and all but this one installed fine. -
Oracle Forms 11gR2 - Cannot deploy locally from within Forms
I cannot deploy locally from within forms. The server is up and running and I can deploy the form by putting the correct URL in the address line of the browser window. When I try to deploy from within forms it comes up with some crazy URL that differs everytime.
This is what the URL should be and this works from the browser:
http://machinename:7002/forms/frmservlet?form=WRD608ADMIN_11g.fmx&userid=&otherparams=useSDI=yes
Here is one of the URLs it came up with when I try to run it from within Forms:
http://localhost:60231/lysVL2VjqT33znjfvLwanktVRxTIc6dEwVeRNXXRmhYU2qjf
Localhost is always there, but the rest varies.
In Forms, I have the Preferences, Runtime set to:
http://machinename:7002/forms/frmservlet
Where machine name is my PC, it is the same for this address as the URL above that works directly from the browser.
So what am I missing?
Thank you in advance.Generally speaking, it is discouraged to manually edit any of the configuration files if they are managed by WLS Console or EM. In this case, default.env is managed by EM. Therefore, changes to the file should be done through EM. If however, you want to alter the file manually, the following is likely the best way to accomplish this:
1. Stop the WLS Admin Server and Node Manager
2. Locate the proper file you wish to edit. By proper I mean, there are several copies of most config files. Most of the config files found in the Oracle Home are actually template files and are not used at runtime. Altering these will not give you the change you want. The default.env you want would be here (assuming Windows)
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\config\fmwconfig\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.2\config
If you are using a "Development" installation type, the above path will reflect AdminServer instead of WLS_FORMS. Remember that Development installations are not for multi-user purposes. Production deployments require the "Deployment" installation type, which can also include the Builders.
Do NOT make any changes yet.
3. Once you find the correct file, create a backup copy. Then open the file for edit (not the backup).
4. Make the desired changes and save.
5. Restart Node Manager and Admin Server if you plan to use them.
For more information about using EM to manage your configuration, refer to the product documentation:

Cannot deploy application because of JDBC datasource target misconfigured
--- environnement ---
Weblogic 10.3.2
Windows 2008 R2
Sun Java 6
Hello, I'd like to have your advices on my issue.
I tried to deploy an application in my weblogic domain but it kept on status deploy running
My domain is configured as follow
clusterA and clusterB
JDBC datasource targets on clusterA and clusterB
Today we had to rename clusterB to clusterC
and we cannot start the managed servers (they stayed in ADMIN state) so we tried to redeploy the application but the deployment process'status was deploy running
After investigating for a very long time, we finaly noticed that our JDBC datasource was misconfigured. After correcting this, the deployement was successfull.
now I'm wondering how a misconfigured JDBC datasource can prevent a deployement of an ear, maybe the code is requesting something during its deployement but I don't know the application and looking at the stacktrace didn't give me any clue except the hibernate message.
Thanks in advance for your advices.
For info here's the stacktrace:

Here is the solution...
Solution 1:
Undeploy sap.com/cafUIservicebrowser from SP06 or SP07 before starting upgrade to SP11.
Solution 2:
Upgrade to SP08 first and than to SP11.
The Solution was discussed on NW04s STAB and accepted due to following reasons:
- There will be not much customers upgrading from SP06 or SP07 to SP11. The most of customers have already upgraded to SP08 and will not be affected by this issue.
- Unchecking the Web Dynpro check before upgrades from from SP06 or SP07 to SP11 is unacceptable.

HFM 11.1.2 Cannot Deploy Application from Workspace
Hi,
I have sucessfully installed Foundation,Workspace, Calc Manager, EPMA, HFM, FDM and Financial Reports on a single Win 2008 SP1 win 32 server. All Products configured on std ports and services are starting allright.
When I log on to Workspace and create a new HFM application validation is Sucessfull. However when I try to deploy the Application it fails.
Error Reported:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
Action aborted.
Log file Says nothing but:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
My Environment:
Hyperion: 11.1.2
OS: Win 2008 SP1 win32
IIS7 has Allow all ISAPI
ASP is allowedThe problem was solved
I went to IIS and then to the Virtual Directory of HFM and clicked on Browse, instead of showing me a white page with HFM written on it, there was Internal Server Error web page with more details.
I Redeployed all Sub-Modules of HFM in EPM Configurator except for Database Configuration and then Restarted the machine. Problem Solved.

Cannot deploy EJB from JDev 3.2
Dear Sirs,
When you try to create a deployment profile using JDeveloper 3.2 step #2 of the wizard asks for "select a type of deployment". In Jdeveloper 3.1.1.2 the option "deploy Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) to Oracle8i". But in release 3.2 that option is taken away.
Does this mean Jdeveloper does not support the EJB 1.1 spec (i.e. the XML deployment descriptor)? Or must I upgrade the database from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7. Or is this a bug?
regards.Hello:
Can anyone helps us with this EJB problem in Oracle? :
With JDeveloper 3.1.12 we can deploy with the wizard an EJB component in Oracle (database) 8.1.6 but the client test fails with the following message:
"oracle.jbo.ApplicationModuleCreateException:
JBO-25222: Unable to create application module...."
In an Oracle error log file (in the bdump directory) we find the following information:
"Attempt to call System.getProperties failed
...skipping...
at oracle.jbo.server.remote.ejb.EJBApplicationModuleImpl.ejbCreate
(EJBApplicationModuleImpl.java:183)..."
We think that the problem is related with:
1- memory parameters of Oracle 8i ?
2- Java security permissions in the server ?
Thanks you for your help.

Did you try to reboot your host?
Did you update the agent of each Hyper-V after the UR5?
Go to the fabric tab to see if the status of each Hyper-V is OK. -
Cannot deploy EntityBean from Weblogic 5.1
Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to EJB deployment, but there is an Entity bean that I was able to deploy using Weblogic 4.0 and fail to do the same with Weblogic 5.1, although I'm going through all the necessary steps, like creating xmls (ejb_jar, weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar, and weblogic-ejb-jar), creating a jar file, and recompiling it using weblogic.ejbc, and that's where it stops. While it works fine with session beans, every time I'm trying to deploy entity bean, it gives me the following message:
ERROR: Error from ejbc: [9.1.5.1] In EJB EmployerEntityEJB, there is an ejbPostCreate method ejbPostCreate() that has no matching ejbCreate method.
Yet my ejbCreate and ejbPostCreate methods do match, unless I'm missing something, but at this point I have no idea what exactly. Any kind of help would be great, 'cause I'm almost out of ideas.
Here's the code I'm working on:
EmployerEntity.java:
import java.rmi.*;
import java.sql.*;
import javax.ejb.*;
import java.util.*;
public interface EmployerEntity extends EJBObject, Remote {
public boolean postingUpdate(Hashtable posting) throws RemoteException,SQLException;
public void callingBreakHashtable(Hashtable posting) throws RemoteException;
EmployerEntityHome.java:
import java.rmi.*;
import javax.ejb.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import javax.naming.*;
public interface EmployerEntityHome extends EJBHome{
public EmployerEntity create(Hashtable posting) throws RemoteException, EJBException, CreateException;
public EmployerEntity findByPrimaryKey(EmployerEntityPK job_id) throws FinderException,RemoteException;
public EmployerEntity findByPosition(int job_id) throws FinderException,RemoteException;
EmployerEntityPK.java:
import java.io.Serializable;
public class EmployerEntityPK {
public int job_id;
and finally EmployerEntityBean.java (I left only ejbCreat and ejbPostCreate methods, so that I won't confuse anybody):
import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import javax.ejb.*;
import javax.naming.*;
import java.rmi.*;
import java.sql.*;
//and local classes
public class EmployerEntityBean extends LocalClassEntityBean {
Hashtable posting=new Hashtable();
public EmployerEntityBean() {}
public EmployerEntityPK ejbCreate(Hashtable posting) throws EJBException, CreateException {
if (posting_entity_flag)
this.posting=posting;
callingBreakHashtable(posting);
Syslog.debug(this,"EJBCreate Called ");
return null;
public void ejbPostCreate(Hashtable posting) throws EJBException {
Syslog.debug(this,"EJBPostCreate Called ");
Thanks for your help.
PS. Also, could it be that the error that I'm getting might be caused by something other than simply mismatching ejbCreate and ejbPostCreate? If so, what are the other possible reasons?
ThanksHi,
First of all, you don't need to add EJBException in your method definition as its a runtime exception. Next your ejbPostCreate() is missing the CreateException and thats the reason you have a mismatch.
Also your remote interface should extend EJBObject ( which is a subclass of java.rmi.Remote). Catch the SQLException and rethrow it as an EJBException with proper message. And finally I take it that LocalClassEntityBean implements EntityBean.
Best wishes -
Cannot submit form from workspace
Good morning,
for a long time we experience an issue when completing form in workspace. I can fill the form and click the Complete button. Nothing happens, form remains open and is unable to be submitted. If I click the button many times, sometimes it helps and forms is submitted after many clicks.
The issue doesn't occur regulary. Close and start browser sometimes helps, sometimes user have to logout and logon.
Forms architecture is simple: several text fields without scripts and AWS workflow fields collection.
I have upgraded LiveCycle ES server to the latest service pack 3.
The reader is version 8.1.3.
Please help.
--- JaroslavNith,
I'm sorry, I don't thing so. Render function is called before the form is displayed on the screen and it's function is to preset workflow fields with actual process, task id, submit URL, server email and so. At the end it injects javascript called form bridge to the form. I checked forms that were submitted well, forms that cannot be submitted at all and forms that was submitted after some time of clicking the button. I have not found differences, all the forms where prefilled well.
The submit function is called after the form is submitted and data are passed to the workspace-server. That data are input parameters of the submit function and you can validate them, make computations and so on. Unfortunatelly in my case this sometime never happen. Form is unable to submit the data. And if data are not submitted, no submit function is called.
For that reasons I do think there is no problem in render / submit function.

Cannot deploy "Hello World" application using SAP NW CE 7.1
Hello,
I am having problems deploying a simple application to NW CE 7.1 (Welcome application
from NWDS tutorial).
I try to deploy from the NWDS. When I am executing "Deploy new archive
and run" I am asked for user and password.
According to the documentation I give following credentials:
SAP NetWeaver Application Server (e.g. for deploying applications)
username: Administrator
password: <your master password>
However after typing that I get immediate error in NWDS.
ConnectionException,cause=[ERROR CODE DPL.DCAPI.1144] NamingException.Cannot get initial context.Reason: Exception during getInitialContext operation. Cannot establish connection to the remote server.
Then the browser opens with following URL: http://localhost:50100/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/Welcome/WelcomeAPP?SAPtestId=38 and the following stack trace is shown.
"Application error occurred during the request procession."
Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: The requested deployable object 'local/Welcome' is not deployed on the server. Please check the used URL for typos.

I solved this error by myself as follows:
So, what I did was; I started the RemoteGui.bat (C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program) and from the Undeployment tab, I selected mainapp01 and com.sap.engine.docs.examples.
The reason I undeployed the above applications was because when I was trying to deploy the mainapp01 application, it gave an error saying that : Cannot deploy application pcbp.com/mainapp01.. Reason: Application alias [/] for application [pcbp.com/mainapp01] already exists in the HTTP Provider Service. The application that holds this alias is [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples .
And, then I restarted the J2EE engine and from the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, I again deployed the mainapp01 application on the local J2EE engine and it was deployed successfully.
