Planning application is not appearing in workspace

Hi All,
i have created application in hyperion planning from Appwizard,
when i trying to open application from workspace am not able to see hyperion planning path to open Application.
am not understand how to solve prb i try to redeploy in configurator but it is asking for new port number which is not used
can any one help me in sloving this issue.
but in shared service application is appearing.

Depending on version you may not be using the default cluster/instance or it may not be active Re: Not able to see planning applications in the drop down list in 11.1.3
If it is not that that then the foundation web server may need configuring again.

in EAS i create New Rule -> in Rule Editor displays in right pane -> i click on Select outline -> The Select Database Outline dialog box displays -> when i click on +planning -> nothing is displayed: the list of my planning applications does not appear !!
is this normal?

Did you log into the planning application first before logging into EAS, if the planning application service was recently restarted and there have been no logins to the applications then they won't appear.
As a test log out of EAS, log into one of the planning applications, log into EAS
Also be sure that the planning applications have been created to use Business Rules and not Calculation Manager if you want to use EAS.

Planning App not appearing in Workspace

I just installed many of the 11.1.1.3 products (Workspace, HSS, Essbase, Planning, and the reporting tools) and overall everything seems to be working except that I can't see a new Planning app in Workspace. I created the app by using the AppWizard.jsp because Classic Application did not appear in Workspace even though I have full admin rights to all the products. I thought maybe if I created it through the AppWizard it would appear but I still don't see it. I can log in using the direct Planning link and all looks well from that end. Any ideas as to why it won't show up in Workspace? Thanks.

MarkHi you should just have to run the "EPM System Configurator" > Untick all Options > Foundation > Workspace > Select Configure web server > reconfigure.

Applications Not Appearing in Workspace (9.3.1)

Hello all,
We recently upgraded to system 9.3.1 and intermittently users are not seeing the applications when logging into Workspace.
Example: USER A logs in to Workspace, is able to perform all necessary duties by logging on to the application for days, sometimes weeks at a time. Suddenly, USER A logs in, and Workspace appears as if there are no applications registered at all. The next day USER A logs in and everything is back to normal.
Can anybody give me a clue as to where to look to find the source of this?
I have a sneaking suspicion it is because the applications were not properly de-registered from the previous version (System 9.3.0.1) which had completely different server names as the current system 9.3.1.
If that is the case, those references would be located in the tables in the main HFM database, but what, or should i even, modify/delete those references?

The error is only occurring on our HSS/Core Services box.
One of the log files for BIPLUS on the HSS box grows to 4GB, cuts off then starts creating another one of itself and does this AT LEAST once a day!

So in one of the log errors, it lists the user that is trying to connect. It is the SS admin I created during the installation, 'hypadmin'. This user of course does not have access to the BIPLUS db, which would cause these errors.
So I tried something, created a SQL user of the same name with the same password. Restarted services, and everything seemed to work fine, except this time when I tried to launch SS, it said a severe error had occurred, and to restart SS.
I restarted, same error. the horror consumes me...
so i went back into SQL, looked at the processes and lo and behold hypadmin was using one measely connection. I killed the process, killed the user ID in SQL, restarted all of my services and everything was golden again except, of course, the monstrosity that is the usageservice log file and the constant hangs while in the user management console.
does any of this ring a bell? how would a native directory user be configured to access the db???

Hyperion Planning application is not opening

I'm trying to open the planning application thruogh workspace/planning but it's not opening.

i m using c7,open applications manu is not appear in options and after restarting the device it fixed .I am using symbian anna updated

I seem to remember that this Patch has dependencies, not only on the likes of CalcMgr 303, but also on a prior Planning patch 300 (as 304 bizarrely is not a fully rolled up PSU). Presume you must already have Planning 300 as the opatch apply fails dependency check if it is not present.
There is also an ADF patch (16763038) that needs to be applied (again from memory it is to the Oracle Common home, rather than the EPM Home) so is a bit of an odd one.

GP, callable object Web Dynpro Application (bespoke) not appearing in list

Hey y'all
We're developing our first GP, and we would like to call an existing bespoke Web Dynpro. When creating the callable object, we're selecting type Web Dynpro Application, but our Web Dynpro screen is not appearing in the drop down list on the next page. We think that this is because the application has been deployed to a different server (i.e. it has not been deployed onto the portal server).
So the question is, has anyone faced this problem before, and is there a solution?

Please have a look at this Exception on creating GP Action
This will solve your issue definitively. Do not take care of a given SDA, just redeploy everything and make sure that everything is overwritten by selecting the right option.

Hi Veronica,
Whenever we create a new application, we need to define member access profile for that particular application. Without this, the application will not be accessible to any users.
In BPC Admin, go to secutiry -> member access profile. Modify the member access profile. You will be able to see tabs for each of the applications. Go to the tab for your application. Mention the appropriate rights. Ideally, we give "read and write" to all members of category dimension and "read" access to all members of the entity dimension. However, you can customize this based on your requirement. Once the profile is saved, go to BPC excel, go through connection wizard. You will be able to see your new application.

Hi,
Try below steps:
1. Open Planning application in workspace
2. Click "Administration" menu and click "Manage Properties".
3. Click "System Properties" tab and find "CREATOR_URL" property.
4. Copy and paste the vlaue URL of this property in a web browser and see if you still don't see the applications in a drop down

I have successfully created and deployed an EPMA application,but when i'm unable to see the application(s) under planning node.
As per my knowledge EPMA application by default deployes in calculation manager,if so why the application is not visible.

The issue is resolved now.
The calculation manager service was set to automatic, set it back to manual and restarted calculation manager service.
It showed the application in calc manager.

Application does not appear in applications folder

On OS X Mountain Lion, there is an application (not from the Mac App Store) that does not appear in my applications folder, but it DOES appear in Launchpad and I would like to delete it. How can I remove it? Since it is not from the Mac App Store, I cannot click the "x" or drag it to the trash.

Where is the application located if not in the Applications folder? You can use Spotlight to find it. When you do just drag it to the Trash.

Planning application is not reflecting in essbase

I have created an application in EPMA and it was deployed successfully,but later i need some changes to the application i.e,changing dimesions from sparse to dense as dense restructuring taking much time so that i deleted that application from essbase and did whatever changes that i need.
In EPMA it was validated and deployed successfully but when i'm looking in essbase the application is not there in essbase.
am i doing wrong,if so please let me know how to get my application back.

Yes,did the same even then the outline is not created in essbase.
if it is not created the outline why i'm getting successful deployment message.

Install application step on task sequence - application does not appear in the application list

I am trying to create a build and capture task sequence and add some application installation steps in the process.
On Install the following applications step when I click the star to choose which applications I want to install, Office 2010 application is not listed there, even though it is available in software library
and and I've been installing it successfully from application catalog.
I tried changing the setting "Allow this application to be installed from the Install Application task sequence action instead of deploying it manually", but it had no effect.

Application does not appear to be sending an email

Not sure that this is the place to ask this question but I am pretty much out of ideas and I know someone will have probably dealt with something similar in the past.
Basically the problem is
On a server in our network - inside the firewall and not using any proxy server we have an application deployed which uses Java mail to send an email and the email is in the format

The third party application is defining the first SMTP host in its properties file and the first SMTP host should route the email to the sms_application_smtp_server based on rules that have been set within it. When it gets to this point it is transformed into an SMS and sent to the mobile phone number based on the rules within our SMS routing application
I know all the ports are listening as I can telnet to them on 25, but whenever the application runs seems to be in a position where it sends an email nothing appears either at the first smtp server - but there are no messages in the log.
I do not have access to the application code from the third party supplier but can view the server settings for the Unix box it is on and can see nothing that appears to be wrong.

I am confused

Just got off the phone with Applecare with the same problem and they had me reset the OS. It's easy to do and solved the problem, along with another issue I had with some of the apps not showing as open in the dock.
Simply shutdown your computer, unplug everything, hold down the power button for 10 seconds, plug everything back in and restart.
