Planning application url is always opened in the same window?

hi all,
we hava a problem about sts's planning application url.
no matter what url is entered,all the planning application url is always opened in the same window.and the old opened url is covered by the new url.
Is there any solution about this? Can this url be opened in seprate window?

I would like to know one thing before answring the question how did you link with an url with the label based menu.
Did you used the opendocument syntax or what did you used.
Another method is why donf you use the URL button and map according to your requirement. place the url button on the menu item and change the properties to tranperancy to 0%.

Right, thank you. I do have it set to "_self". But it's still opening in a new window.
I need to get the HTML file to open in the same window.
You know, I may just need more experimenting here, because the flash file isn't in its HTML header template yet. Things may change once I have that done.

Bridge CS4 always opens in the same folder

Since I upgraded to Photoshop CS4, Bridge always opens in the same
folder. It used to open up whatever folder I was working on last.
There must be a setting somewhere to tell Bridge to open the last
visited folder but I can't seem to find it. Any ideas?

Thanks Curt. That helped. I do have Bridge set to automatically start with Windows. I thought that shutting down Windows would cause Bridge to remember the last visited folder since Bridge was closed but I need to right-click on the Bridge icon in the system tray and exit before shutting down Windows. At least now I know why this was happening!

Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Reinstalling Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) Link to open in the same window

In a webpage1 (in domain 1), the action script loads the swf
in a different domain (url). The link from the swf opens the
webpage2 from domain 1 in a different window. Though I have tried
to give the attribute _self / _none / _praent, it still opens the
new window.
Strangely, the 2nd window I could able to navigate to
webpage1 after 2 / 3 clicks. Now if I click the same link, it loads
in the 2nd window (same webpage2 without any problem).
Any help?

The first time, it always open in the 2nd window. If you are
in the 2nd window and navigate to the home page, then click on the
same link, it opens the 2nd window.
The behavior is 2 ways.

Hi All,
I'm using Xcelsius 2008. I add a Selector Component "Selector complonenet > Label based menu". I setup 6 Lable and each one link to a URL. When clicking the label on the generated SWF report, the link opened in a new window.
So i'd like to know if the link can open in the same window (not pop-up a window and open in it)?I tried to setup it in properties, but it seems there is no way to do this.
Could I get your guide how to do that? Thank you so much.

In Firefox 5, New Windows open in the same window even though the options are set to open in a new window.

I have the options set to open new windows in a new tab. However, they do not.
For example, as I click on the various options for support on Firefox.com, each opens in the same window. Similarly for Yahoo. If I bring up the news page and click on various links, they all open in the same window. How do you get them to open in new windows?

Pure speculation, but maybe that Identity Finder program is deleting your browsing history which is how Firefox restores tabs and windows from the previous session. Check with technical support for that program or look at the manual.

When i open a new tab it opens in a new window..i like for it to open on the same window i am on,

How do you get a merged CHM to open in the same window as the master? (RH8)

We have a problem where everytime you click on a topic from a merged CHM in the master TOC, it opens a new window exlusive to the chm where the topic resides. We have more than one master chm and this is the only one that does it, it is also the only one that was created from RH8, although the others have been updated with RH8. We've compared the Window and SS Layout properties with a parent chm that doesn't behave this way and haven't been able to find any differences. Is there something we can do to have all the topics whether merged or from the parent, open in the same window?

I think somehow the last time I had this problem I stumbled on a solution and wasn't sure what fixed it, but the problem reared its head again, and it was back to the drawing board. Now I think we have a solution, but we don't know for sure what created the problem. Although we're pretty sure the problem has something to do with creating a new window when there is already and existing window.
What we found. This problem couldn't be fixed in the SSLayout. We found that the Properties | Advanced | Window setting for individual topics in the TOC had been erased. This Window drop-down selection lets you choose a window other than <Default> if more than one window exists. If not changed by the user, it should stay at <Default>, but somehow the setting was blank on several topics, probably due to the creation of a new window, and maybe some other values being changed. This is probably a bug in RH8, but I don't know about other versions.
How to fix it.
First you have to isolate which merged .chm file (child) has the problem, I believe I did this by removing one child .chm at a time from the Parent project and then seeing if the parent .chm worked correctly after generation.
Once you've found the offending .chm (there may be more than one), open the project and the TOC for the .chm that is a problem.
Go to the TOC pod > Topic Page Properties (right-click on a Topic in the TOC and select Properties) > Advanced > Options panel and ensure that a value exists in the Window: field. If the field is empty, you have a problem. Click the drop-down and select <Default>, even if your .chm window displays in drop-down.
I don't believe there's an option to set a window as the default when you create it, so if there's more than one window, who knows what the <Default> option is drawing from, unless <Default> points to the window you have selected in the SSLayout, which I think is the case.
Find all Topics that have this problem and fix them. Note: you cannot fix this by going to topic Properties in the Topic List (or from r-click Properties in a topic), you have to do it in the TOC.
Save all changes, generate the child .chm, and then replace the old child .chm with the new one.
Open the parent .chm and check to see if all topics open in the parent window. Your Done

_blank always opening in the same new tab

Hi there,
I am curios if there is a workaround this issue. If you have an ad, let's say, that for any click it's set to use "_blank", every subsequent click will change page in only one new opened tab. There aren't more tabs created. Just one new tab created and then address is changed in the same tab.
I also tried using ExternalInterface.call("window.open") and even this one still opens in the same new tab. If I do windows.open from javascript it opens new tabs continuously.
If any one knows a way around this, please let me know!

Thank you mate, but solved it!
I was working on code from some previous guys. I didn't know there's a string hardcoded to replace the target. It wasn't blank. It was "_companynamead". If you put any random string except the valid one you will get this behaviour apparently.

I have the open new windows in a new tab option selected yet it still opens in the same window.

Operating in safe mode. In the preferences menu I have the "Open new window in a new tab instead" box checked yet when I click on links the new page opens in the current window. If I control click I have the option of opening the new window in a new tab

The setting in Tools > Options > Tabs: "New pages should be opened in": "a new tab/window" is for links that specify a target window to open the link.<br />
That option allows to divert such links to a new tab instead of a new window.
Links that do not specify a target always open in the current tab unless you override that with a middle-click or Ctrl left-click (new tab) or Shift left-click (new window) or via the right-click context menu.

Navigate from one iview to another and open in the same window

Hi,
I created two iviews with Visual Composer 7.0 SP8.
In the first iview I create a button with hyperlink action, that call the URL of the second iview. The two iviews are in separates pages.
The problem is that the second iview is open in a different window, and I want to open this iview in the same window. I changed the propertie start in new window with "show in the portal content", but It is still open in another window.
How can I open the second iview in the same window?

I created two iviews, the property of the first iview is window type = primary window, the second iview is defined like window type = nested window.
Now the problem is that I can not deploy the second iview in the portal.

How do I get IE 11 to open in the same window on the task bar?

How do I get IE 11 to open in the same spot on my task bar. i.e. IE 11 is on my task bar. When I open it, it opens in a new place on the end of the task bar. Microsoft Outlook, Windows Explorer, Quicken, Adobe, etc,, all on the task bar open
right at there location on the task bar; not in a new place at the end of the task bar.
How do I get IE 11, Windows 7, 64 bit to open at the same place as the IE icon???

Seems a strange issue, How about un-pin IE from the taskbar, then re-pin it to the taskbar for a test?
If doesn't work, I suggest you turn off IE 11 in "Turn Windows Features on or off", reboot PC, then re-turn on, check the result again.

Links set in XHTML Transitional with target="_blank" are not opening in a new window. I have allowed popups and turned off ad blocker, but the links still open in the same window.

This is on a Wordpress install. Is there a Firefox setting I'm missing? Otherwise, I shall have to install a javascript plugin to do this, which seems overkill for what used to be common code.

I don't know how to delete my question, anyway I'm not having this problem anymore. In our organisation the IT department deploy Firefox updates with certain settings and limitations, in the tap-options the checkbox for opening new windows in new tabs where checked but disabled. They made some changes to make this checkbox enabled and now it works as expected if it's check new windows open i new tabs and if it's not in new windows. They never opens in the same tab as they did before.
