Planning Book(supplier)

Hi experts,
I am unable to find out Supplier (Vendor Location type 1011), in selection Window. because of that when i  entered my supplier number  with product in APO -location and APO-Product  . So the result is No objects Selected.
I have supplier information in location Master and have Product master.why i can't upload data in Planning book. Can you please help me.
Regards,
Madhurs

Hi
Leading zeros may be causing the problem here. If your supplier code is numeric , then the leading blanks will be padded with leading zeros. That is if your supplier number is 12345 it wont be stored internally as it is. But it will be stored as 0000012345. So in your search criteria you have to give *12345 and select your supplier

  • Days supply is not populating in the planning book

    Hi Experts,
When I select multiple products in the planning book, the value is papulating as total but if I drilled down to individual product then days supply(Key figure) values are not populating in the planning book.
Please let me know if any idea.
    Regards,
    Hrishi

From what you mention it looks like you do not use the standard SNP Planning Book. Was the macro inactive so that you had to regenerate?
When you move a macro from workbench to level change it should not require to be regerated.
Please check if following macros are active (green) under level change in sequence
    Determine Workdays
    Layout Attributes
    Drill (Level)
Else compare the macros and sequence in the standard SNP Planning Book with the Planning Book you are using.
The Day's Supply (All: Day's Supply) and Determine workdays macros are essential for populating the day's supply keyfigure.

    Hi All:
I created a planning Book out of a custom SNP planning area. While I could see the Planning Book in the list of Planning Book in the /SAPAPO/SDP94 - Interactive Supply Network Planning (all Books)   I could not see the custom planning book in /SAPAPO/SDP94 - Interactive Supply Network Planning (all Books) .  I could ony see the SAP supplied PB there.  Will SDP94 transaction display only the standard SNP Planning book?  How can I make sure that the custom PB is displaed in /SAPAPO/SDP94?
    pl. help
    Thanks

    Hi Narayanan,
    a couple of simple checks..
can you please check that you have not set a filter critera in the shuffler in planning book/data view?
you can also check if by mistake only a limited number of users are assigned to this planning book and data view ?
else you may want to check note : , 327371

  • ATD Check Issue in creation TLB Order Manually in Planning Book.

    Hi ,
I am facing issue in ATD Check in TLB Interactive Planning while creating TLB Order Manually.
    Here goes scenario.
I am creating TLB Order Manually in TLB Planning Book with below Information.
      Demand Date u2013 02.01.2012 ( Todayu2019s date ) & Qty u2013 20
Considering Lead Time of 10 Days to supply from Plant to Depot, Delivery Date in Purchase Order is calculated as 12.01.2012
Now I do outbound delivery for this PO in ECC. As client is not using Routes Transit Times functionalities, Planned Goods Issue Date for Outbound Delivery in ECC is calculated as Delivery Date from PO which is 12.01.2012 minus Transit Time in Route which is maintained as 0. Hence Planned Goods Issue Date in ECC is 12.01.2012.
This is same as Requirement Date for Outbound Delivery. PGI for this delivery is yet to happen. When PGI is done then issue is resolved.
When this Delivery goes in APO, it has requirement date as 12.01.2012 and now when I create TLB Order in Interactive Planning Book manually it allows me to create TLB Order of 20 qty extra before populating below message
u201CThere is only an ATD quantity of XXX available for product GHECP02u201D
In short it allows me to create 20 extra PO as Outbound Delivery is shifted to future bucketu2019s and  hence is not counted in ATD Issues.
I am using Daily Bucket Profile in TLB Planning Book.
If I use Monthly Bucket Profile my issue is solved but again when client is creating TLB Order , by default system picks first date of bucket which client does not want.
Is there any way where in I can avoid this excess PO Creation. When it checks ATD Availability it should consider these outbound deliveries which are of future dates.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Hi Sameer,
Such kind of issues would come when  master data/transaction data in APO and R/3 are not in sync.
You could go in for some custom development for TLB orders, but it's like opening a pandora's box as you are messing with teh standard working of system. It could create data inconsistencies between APO and R/3 and I would not really advise this. It's best to maintain all the relevant master data/transaction between APO and R/3 in sync.
Better ask your client to maintain the relevant routes as required. Otherwise they should create PO directly in R/3 as required.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Possible to call a transaction from a planning book using a macro button?

    Hi All,
Is it somehow possible to call a transaction using a macro button in the planning book? Also, the current selection should be passed as input parameters to the transaction.
In my example, I am trying to run the transaction /SAPAPO/MC90 - Release to Supply Network Planning from the Demand Planning  Planning Book/Data View. This way if planners need to change forecasts mid month for specific selections, they can easily transfer to SNP without having to go out of interactive planning.
    Thank you,
    Maria

    Hello Maria,
It's possible to call a transaction from a planning book using a macro button.
What you can do is ..... Create a function module and inside it use the command "Call Transaction Tcode"  (ABAPer can do this) to call ur specific transaction. And this module can in turn be called from your macro. Please find the below link which explanis how to call a function module from a macro. Do let me know if you need more information on this.

  • How can you block production for a specific product in SNP planning book

    Hi All,
Looking for a way to manually indicate a decision to prevent production in a specific cell for a product in the SNP planning book utilizing the supply planning and capacity leveling heuristics.  For this requirement the resource would have available capacity during that time period.  It also could plan other products in that time period.  The requirement is for a planner to manually go into the planning book to somehow indicate that the heuristic should not consider that time period as available for a specific product, while still leaving the resource available for other products.
Has anyone run into this before?  Any experience on how to stop a heurisitc from considering a specific time bucket  for a specific product as available for orders?
    Thanks
    -Mike

    Hello Mike,
I haven't tried it yet myself but I kow that there is the option in the Planning Book to manually fix several periods for a specific location product. This will prevent the heuristic from planning these periods for the specified product. For details please have a look in the Online Help for SNP under key word "Order Fixing".

  • Need to change forecast data thru planning book + doubt while creating POS

    hi friends,
my application creates forecast data for following.
product , location start date , end date.
i need to put this data into APO(DP).
i know i can do it using BAPI CHANGEKEYFIGUREVALUE2 of Planning Book APs
my doubt is while create a Plng Object store, what fileds do i take as charachteristics which match these, please reply if have some clue

    Hi Rohit,
I believe i misunderstood your first post. I had given the BAPI parameters that you need to fill up for the given business requirements you have mentioned. I realized you were asking about the POS.
Answer to Q1: You can not place time characteristics in the POS. You will define the "time characteristics" in your Planning Area by specifying a relevant storage bucket profile.
Answer to Q2: You dont need to add time characteristics in the POS.
Answer to Q3: 9AVERSION is not included in the POS. However, when you use BAPIs BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL and BAPI_PBSRVAPS_CHANGEKEYFIGVAL to read/write data from/to the planning area you need to supply a selection for the planning version (9AVERSION).
    Hope this helps.

  • View db alerts generated in planning book A from within planning book B?

    Hi,
I have a db alert macro implemented as a default macro in one of our SNP planning books/data view. This is correctly generating db alerts per the criteria coded into the macro. In Alert Monitor, the database alerts show the planning book (book A) and data view (view 1) from which the alerts were generated.
The planners monitoring this specific alert do not have/should not have access to planning book A and data view 1,  but will have access to a different planning book (B)/data view (2) within the same planning area.
Is it possible to generate a db alert from a default macro residing in planning book A, data view 1 but have the db alert as viewed in Alert Monitor display a different planning book (B), data view (2) so that when the user launches Supply Network Planning by right clicking on the db alert, the user is taken to planning book B, data view 2 with the alert selection loaded?
In short, I need to generate db alerts via a default macro in one planning book/data view but must enable planners who monitor these alerts to do so in a different planning book, data view -- all within the same planning area.
I saw an earlier thread (id 4517019) that seemed to indicate this was possible to assign db alerts generated in one planning book to another planning book,  but it was not clear how to implement this. We are on APO version 4.0. In the macro's Alert/status element properties I do see a section called 'Different Source' which allows me to specify a different planning book and macro. However, I do not understand how this is meant to be used and whether this will be useful to me.
I would appreciate any help you can offer.
    Thanks!
    - Heidi

    Saradha,
Thank you for your reply! I checked the various versions of SAP help and found that only as of Release SCM 4.1 can you assign the alerts that are generated in a planning book/ data view to another planning book/data view via the mechanism you explained.  That tells me that perhaps in SCM 4.0 there is no straightforward way of doing this.
In 4.0, when I double click the macro alert element I see different attributes - one of them is in a section titled 'Different Source' and contains to fields - one that allows you to specify a planning book and the other to specify a macro in that planning book. I'm experimenting with that now to better understand what it's purpose is. If you have any idea, please let me know. Otherwise, thanks very much for your response!
    Thanks,
    - Heidi

  • Previous year figures in planning book

    Hi all,
I want to show the previous year figures in the planning book.
According the help documentation of planning books it must be possible to add actual data and previous year figures (Demand Planning - Demand Planning Process - Planning book design - Planning book: "Add rows containing actual data from the current year and/or the previous year").
Actual data is easy by refering to 000 version. But how can I add previous year data?
    Thanks for your help
    Jean

I think what it means is that if you go to the dataview tab in the Planning book design you can see a field called Initial Column.
If you use initial column you will be able to add all the buckets in the period previous to the first future period. Its not necessarily last year but previous periods.
(though i dont understand what you menat by seeing actual using 000 version)
It makes more sense in an SNP planning book for a KF like Stock
    as the help says...
"The initial column covers the time span from 1970 until the beginning of the first future period minus 1 second. The data is read from a key figure that is stored in liveCache orders or liveCache time series. However, you can also populate this column with data using a macro, such as has been done with the Initial stock key figure in the standard Supply Network Planning data view.
Enter one of the following values:
    Blank - No initial column
L - The initial column is displayed on the far left of the table.
R- The initial column is displayed on the far right of the table.
C - The initial column is displayed between the past planning horizon and the future planning horizon."

  • Documentation in planning books

    Hi
We're looking into building a new planning book, and we would like to provide some help and documentation for the users.
Is there a way to either supply information inside the planning book or perhaps just link to an external website from inside a planning book?
I've looked into macro popups with info but they seem rather limited. I was also thinking if we could do some custom application help since that links to htmlhelp already But i'm not sure it's possible to provide custom help in that way.
Anyone know a way to achieve this?

  • Unfreezing the Months in Demand Planning book.

    Hello Experts,
User has limited access of change mode (6 months) in a particular demand planning book. User wants to extend the change access horizon to 10 months.
Please guide me what necessary steps to be taken so that user has access to do changes for next 10 months instead of 6.
Thank you in advance, points assured .
    Regards
    Rahul Chitte

    Hi Rahul,
We really need more information here to help you.
Let me try and help in guiding you towards that.
Question: Is the user able to see 12 months (May to Apr), but able to change only 6 months (May to Oct ), or the user is able to see only 6 months (may to oct) and unable to see next 6 months (nov to apr).
Scenario 1: User is able to see all 12 months but able to change only 6 months.
Possible Cause - There is no standard setting that lets lockout few periods alone. However pls do check for some default macros that might be setup to lockout specific periods. Look for the use of function cell_input() in the macros within the planning book.
Scenario 2: User is able to see only 6 months.
Possible Cause - The time bucket profile is set for only 6 months.
    How to check this?
Go to /sapapo/sdp8b go to dataview tab. Look for the TB Profile ID (Future). Make a note of this name.
Go to /SAPAPO/TR30 - "Maintain Time Buckets Profile for Demand Plng and Supply Network Plng". In this txn give that name. Then click periods. You should be able to see how many months are configured. You need to change the number of periods here. This is assuming you have sufficient time series created to go thru all 12 months.
Pls revert back with your findings incase the problem is not resolved.
    Hope this makes sense.
    Thanks

  • Locking Planning book

    Hi,
Has anyone worked on code for locking planning book? I already have a code but it fails at one scenario to lock the planning book. There are FM to lock the planning book, which behave exactly as I want in that scenario, but when I use them in my program even they fail to lock the planning book in that scenario.
For more details, you can check my thread for which link is given below
@Moderator - I had opened a similar thread before but it was locked by moderator (Thomas Zloch) with comment to do my own research. I have already done much research about this and have found my problem to be still existing in all the codes/solutions. I have already posted in SAP APO section regarding the specific problem and haven't got any solution from there too. Hence decided to check in ABAP section if any abapper had worked on the same.

    Thanks!

Your first attempt left no choice but to lock it.

  • How to Transport a planning book to another system

    Hello,
Can someone please let me know how to transport a planning book to another system?
    Thanks for your time.
    Sarath.

    Dear Sarath,
    Transporting Macro Books:
You can add macro books to a transport request so that they are transported to the target system(s) when the request is released. When you transport a macro book, the system exports relevant notes directly to the target system. For this, you must specify the relevant RFC destination.
To be able to use macro books in another system, you need to have already exported other objects such as the relevant planning object structures and planning areas to the target system. You do this in Customizing for Demand Planning or Supply Network Planning under Basic Settings -> Maintain Manual Transport Link for DP/SNP. You can also use this activity to transport macro books. If the planning area does not exist in the target system, you can transport the macro book, but you cannot open the macro book or use the macros.
To transport a macro book, select the book and choose Tools -> Transport Macro Books. On the dialog box that appears, enter an existing transport request or create new one. The transport request determines the system to which the macro book is transported. Choose Enter.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Time bucket not displaying in planning book

When I opened planning book, the time bucket is not displaying as it used to be. I tried to select CVC to be displayed in the planning book and got the following error message:
@5C\QError@     Insufficient information about read period transferred
@5C\QError@     Error reading data - Planning book cannot be processed further
Insufficient information about read period transferred
    Message no. /SAPAPO/TSM231
This internal error should not occur during normal processing. However if this message is displayed, contact your system administration or the SAP hotline quoting the message number.
    Any idea what went wrong?

    Hi Nic,
Either someone deleted the time bucket profile, or else the periodicities in the time bucket profile are not in line with the periodicity allowed in your planning area.
Go to Advanced Planning and Optimization-> Demand Planning -> Environment -> Current Settings -> Maintain Time Buckets Profile for Demand Plng and Supply Network Plng, or directly use the tcode "/SAPAPO/TR30".
Check that your time bucket profiles ZDP_PBP_9Q & ZDP_PBP_5Q exist by using F4 help, and also select them to see what periods are used in the time bucket profile e.g. weeks, days, etc.
If you don't find the time bucket profile, then they need to be created (based on names, my guess is that *9Q will contain 9 quarters, and *5Q will contain 5 quarters). I expect that issue lies here itself.
If time buckets profile exist, then check the following:
    1) Go to /sapapo/msdp_admin, select your planning area. See the storage bucket profile name in the "info" tab.
    2) Go to /SAPAPO/TR32  (Periodicities for Planning Area). Give the name of the Storage bucket profile that you see in 1.
    3) Check what periods are used in storage bucket profile.
    4) Storage bucket profile needs to have lower periods maintained than the time bucket profile. e.g. assuming that your time bucket profile has quarters, then you need to have at least quarter maintained in storage bucket profile. Even if you have day or week or month selected in storage bucket profile, it's ok because these are smaller periods than quarters what you have in time bucket profile.
Also make a note if "post period" is checked. Note the name of "fiscal year variant" if that is maintained along with this tick. I hope you don;t need to go further but if above don;t resolve your issue, then we need to check the fiscal year variant.
    Thanks - Pawan
