Planning calender: Delivery 2 times per per week
Hello,
we got an arrangement with one of our vendors. When we order on Monday, Tuesday they will deliver on Friday the same week. Wenn we order on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the will deliver on the next Tuesday.
I tried to solve this by using a planning calender for Tuesday and Friday. The calender works fine. But please see the following table and the problem. You can see that i can not reach the expected delivery days exactly.
Order Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
expected delivery day Friday Friday Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday
Delivery with 1 day delivery time Friday Friday Tuesday Tuesday next Friday
Delivery with 0 days delivery time Friday Friday Friday Tuesday Tuesday
Anybody an idea to reach the expected delivery days?
One solution could be to change automatically via batch the planned delivery time, two times a week.
Thanks for your response.
Johannes Schulte
Hello Antony,
i do not now how this should solve my problem. Can you please add more information?
I add some periods from my planning calender. There are two types of periods:
1: start at Tuesday and end at Thursday
2: start at friday and end at Monday

2500 box shuts off about 4 times per week when i try to sign into the Facebook widget
basically what the title says.. I have the old 2500 boxes (and slow guide navigation issues as well).. but another problem I face is that I use the Facebook widget daily to look at my photo albums.. but about 4 times or so per week, upon clicking the Facebook widget, my box will turn itself off and go through the initial download all over again, which takes about two minutes.. more frustrating is that this resets my Facebook login so I have to log in again, which takes another few minutes.. anyone have this happen to them?
Hi Anthony_VZ,
Oh I do so very wish that I could provide you with a detailed sequence of navigation that would repeat the box reboot ‘X’ many times out of 100. That would be awesome. Unfortunately that’s not usually my goal as a TV addict. I am usually looking to forget my troubles, not go looking for more. What I can tell you is this: box reboots can happen at any time of day or night. They can be caused by the type of activity I am doing or they can happen when I’m doing nothing at all. They can be generated from your end, my end, or happen seemingly spontaneously. And because no error messages are displayed either before or after, I have no idea what just happened.
As far as the ones that I have been able to reproduce, these happen mostly when I am using the search feature or the On Demand menus. Sometimes they happen while I am scrolling. But the most reproducible are usually when I use the OK button to select a program for its information page. I press OK, the box goes “click”. After the reboot, I remember what program I wanted to see, navigate all the way back to it, press OK and the box goes “click”. At this point I have to be a real meathead or glutton for punishment to go back again. But I have just to see what would happen. And what happened was “click”. I’m not sure I’ve ever gone back more than a third time. Or if I did, it was working by then.
So, was it a certain combination of buttons? Was it some bad code? Was it the gremlins that live inside the mysterious black box? (I hate those little guys. And yes, they do multiply when you get them wet.) I don’t have a clue. It’s irritating. I live with it. Life goes on.
Ideally, you would have a software program installed on the boxes that logs the last ‘X’ many commands given by the user and the last menus or options accessed before a crash. A sort of black box for the black box. Then after a reboot, an error report containing this information would be uploaded to a central server that would in turn have a program to analyze these reports for similarities and notify you when it finds them. Perhaps something you might want to suggest to your developers while they are working on the next generation of devices.
Now, if you want to pay me for my time and effort, I’d be more than happy to troubleshoot and log. I already have a half-dozen issues with STB/DVR malfunctions and limited functionality that I haven’t taken the time to write out and post to the Idea board yet. For starters, you are telling avemaria92 that she can “change an option to remember the last guide setting”. While this is true, the last viewed guide state is forgotten every time the box gets rebooted, and the guide reverts back to “All Channels”. If she is having an issue with her box getting rebooted all the time, telling her that this will fix her issue might not be the best idea, as it will only last till the next reboot. This problem also used to happen to the channel change mode as well. But a recent update made this setting persistent beyond the reboot. Wherever this setting is now saved, you need to put the guide setting right with it so that it remains persistent after a reboot as well.
Thanks for listening, Anthony_VZ. I will try your SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION and let you know if I continue having issues.

When using TM with an external drive, can I connect and use it occasionally for backup and disconnect it between backups, say one backup per week? Or does it need to be connected all the time when the computer is on?
TimeMachine works better if it's nearly always connected.
For addtional backup like what your needing, consider a bootable clone in addition to TM.

How to determine minutes per week with inconsistent start and end times...
ver -> 10.2.0.4
I'm looking for some guidance or some pseudo code in how to attack the following:
Data
target_nm status start_timestmap end_timestamp
DEVDB Target Up 8/28/2009 9:49:08 AM 9/26/2009 6:34:23 PM
DEVDB Target Down 9/26/2009 6:34:23 PM 9/26/2009 6:36:23 PM
DEVDB Target Up 9/26/2009 6:36:23 PM How can I display, per week, the number of minutes a status was held? There are 10,080 minutes per week and I'm using to_char(to_date('8/28/2009 9:49:08 AM', 'mm/dd/yyyy hh:mi:ss AM'), 'WW') to determine the week number. The end result would be something like, in example:
target_nm wk up down
DEVDB 35 [x minutes] [y minutes]This, at first, seemed pretty straight forward, but where it gets wrapped around the axle is that the records of a status can span a number of weeks between the 'start_timestamp' and the 'end_timestamp.'
My current approach is to isolate this down for a given day...if something is "started" then determine the number of minutes between trunc(start) +1 and start . If it has "ended" then determine the number of minutes between trunc(ended) and end.
Resulting in something like:
target_nm status day_of_year minutes_of_status start_timestamp end_timestamp
DEVDB Target Up 8/27/2009 296.3333 8/27/2009 7:03:40 PM nullAny advice, a different perspective, or pseudo code would be greatly appreciated on how to turn the corner on showing these status's as they break down per week.
Regards,
-abeHi,
As you said, you just need to compute SUM (end_timestamp - start_timestamp), GROUPing BY week.
The tricky part is what happens when an event is not entirely within one week. For example:
DEVDB Target Up 1/07/2009 11:00:00 AM 1/08/2009 2:00:00 PMThis event lasted 3 hours, but you want to count this as 1 hour in week '01', and 2 hours in week '02', not as 3 hours in either week.
The solution is very much like the one in the following thread:
[8i] Date/Time calculation problem...
Whenever you have a problem, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data.

Hi
Is there any way that system should plan the delivery date in the sale order as per the capacity of the plant.
VinodHi Jitesh
In my sales order system is giving the Dilivery date as I mentioned in my sales order type lead time in days. The system carrying the avl. check & if the materail is avilable on that day then it confirms the qty.
If I am getting the order for less qty then it is not proble but when I get the sales order more than the production capicity & the my clients wants that ot should also check the capacity & give the delivery date accordingly.
I checked in OVZG there is capacity check is there but I could undersatnd how it works
Pls replay

Home Fusion disconnecting dozens of times per day. Is there a fix?
As of a approximately a month ago, my Home Fusion systems disconnects dozens of times per day. I'm not exaggerating! I have logs to prove it. There's a 50-50 chance it will reconnect on it's own after a few minutes. Then again there's also a 50-50 chance it will not reconnect, at which point I have to (pick one):
a) reboot the cantenna from the router pages;
b) unplug the cantenna and plug it back in;
c) unplug the cantenna and the router, wait 30 seconds, plug in the cantenna, wait 30 seconds, plug in the router. (This was recommended by tech support on the phone as the best way to get back the connection);
d) reset the cantenna to the factory settings;
e) reset the router to the factory settings.
None of these makes any difference. I have to do one of the above at least 12 times a day. There are many more times when it disconnects, then reconnects on it's own. The system will usually reconnect after 5 minutes, sometimes not. I've had multiple phone calls to tech support, only to hear the same thing, do one of the above. A few times a day the system will reconnect after doing one of the above, only to disconnect again after 3-5 minutes. It is bad all hours of the day, but worst in the late afternoons, evenings, and night. This is absolutely horrid.
It's not my computers either. The 'diagnostics' for the router and cantenna (which allow you to ping addresses) fail as well when the system isn't working.
My wife and I both work from home, both engineers. I need a stable connection to work. My kids have online homework (worksheets, drills, etc) most nights. How do you deal with a elementary schooler in tears because he can't finish his homework because the connection goes down three times in a half hour while he's trying to get a target math drill score?
One support tech told me a fix would be coming out by the end of February, or early March. That's weeks away! Very stressful. Another told me there was a firmware fix, but it's being rolled out incrementally. Can't Verizon get that to those who are affected most? Can we roll back to an earlier version of the cantenna firmware that was stable? I was told no.I have the same problem. My Home Fusion set up works great sometimes and then other times, nothing. I can usually reboot the cantenna and router (usually have to do a few times) to get everything working. Usually have to do this 2-3 times a week (sometimes more.)
My Method:
1. Sign into router (192.168.1.1)
2. Go to the Advanced tab
3. Reboot the cantenna (HBA)
4. Wait 1 minute
5. Reboot the router (HBR)
6. Take a walk, fingers crossed
7. Test to see if system working
8. If not working, repeat these steps (may take 3-4 tries!)
Good luck and let me know if this works for you! -
Exchange Server 2010 automatic reply once per day or once per week?
Hello,
can some tell me how often the automatic reply is send in Exchange Server 2010.
Is it once per day for each sender or once per week for each sender?
In the web some tell per week, some tell per day.
Is it possible to change the time shedule, so that each day a automatic reply is send?
Thanks,
EduardHello,
after some googling and consolidating the different examples on the Internet I came up with this powershell script which is executed by the windows task scheduler once a day. The script first gathers all the mailboxes for which the out of office mechanism
is activated. Then it disables the autorepliers for these mailboxes, waits for 10 seconds (this seems to be necessary to let exchange do some housekeeping) and then reenables the autorepliers.
Warning: I have learned that this script resets the time interval of the autoreplier. Any ideas how to preserve the time settings?
Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
$objUsers = get-mailbox | Get-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration | Where-Object {$_.AutoReplyState -eq "scheduled" }
$objUsers | %{ Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration -Identity $_.identity -AutoReplyState disabled}
Start-Sleep -s 10
$objUsers | %{ Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration -Identity $_.identity -AutoReplyState scheduled}
Remember to use -AutoReplyState scheduled instead of -AutoReplyState enabled to reenable. -AutoReplyState enable should only be used for permanent autorepliers and not for "out of office" messages.
Cheers,

The delivery date for the PR needs to consider planning Calender Periods
Hi Friends,
Please help me in solving in my scenario given below:
The Planning calender periods are from Monday through Thursday(No Friday and weekends). When there is a Purchase Requisition (PR) planned date on Monday and the GR processing time is one day. The delivery date should be on the before Thursday (Becasue there is no period on Friday).
But, the delivery date is being created with the before Friday, which shouldn't happen.(Requirement is that Delivery date shouldn't consider that friday, hence, the delivery date needs to be on Thursday).
NOTE: The lot size settings are Lot sizing Procedure : P(Period lot sizing procedure), Lot-size indicator: K (Period lot size as in Planning Calender), Scheduling : 1 (Period Start = Delivery date).
Thanks for helping me in advance,
Surendra ChakkaHi Santosh,
Thanks for your Questions. Below are the explainations:
1. Can you expalin how your system is behaving at the moment?
A. Presently the GR Processing time is 1 day for a material in Plant. So, if the user wants to produce on Wednesday (Planned date in PR, provided by the MRP run), then the delivery should be on Tuesday (Because GR processing time is 1 day). In the same way, he dont wants the delivery to be on Friday. I mean, if he wants to produce on Monday, he wants the delivery to be on Thursday.
Only Friday, he don't wants to make the Delivery.(The delivery date should not show Friday in PR's).
2. Pls explain your original MRP view and planning calendor setting...
A. For solving of the above issue, we changed the Lot size to copy of "PK" - Period lot size acc to planniong calendar. Then we maintained the Planning calendar, in which the periods are for every Monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday. Expecting, the delivery should be excluded for friday, the friday in the planning calendar is not given as a period.
The scheduling paramter in the Lotsize is tried with both the options (period start = Deliery date and period end = Delivery date).
Later removed "PD" in MRP type and tried with "R1" Time phase req. But, the precondition for this is to maintain "Forecast req". This is also done. But, then, the system for this material is not responding to the MRP run. It is asking to run the forecast model. We ar not using SOP.
3. The results thst you get with current setting?
A. For the planned date in PR of Monday, the delivery date in PR is on the day before monday. i.e., Friday (Saturday and sundays are holidays).
4. Expected results...?
A. For the planned date in PR of Monday, the delivery date in PR should be Thursday (the day before monday production).
Hope, i am clear in my explaination. Please revert back, if you need any more information.
Thanks and Regards

HomeFusion disconnecting 5+ times per day, out 5-10 minutes each time
HomeFusion is disconnecting 5+ times per day, out 5-10 minutes each time.
When it is up, it is fabulous. Signal quality is always great.
Main router page says just Connecting... when this happens.
Any one know why? Thanks.

Detect a PDN event : NW PDN DEACT 1 - state 9 (0)Hi Jennifer @ Verizon
A simple reboot of the router and cantenna is not going to permanently fix this issue. Its been going on at least since August 2012. The issue is a bad software on the cantenna and its affecting areas such as KY, GA, TN, and OH. I have emailed the manufacturer of the cantenna, I think its PCI and they emailed me telling me that its a known issue but no idea when it will be fixed. It could be a few week or a few months or possibly at least a year.
I think what Verizon should do is refund the money including installation and any fees paid for the service to all affected customers and take down the service until fixed or find a new manufacturer for the Cantenna or work with the engineers with PCI to come up with firmware fix asap. This issue is obviously affecting enough customers where telling your customers to wait is not going to work anymore. I don't mind waiting if I know that a fix is definitely coming and an actual date. Its very frustrating to have a company not support their customers in coming up with a fix on this asap such as a solution within the next 2 weeks. I was in the middle of taking another exam and got an F on it because your service disconnected me.
I think I might join the bandwagon and if this issue is not fixed by the end of January 2013 I'll be calling for a full refund. I am not confident that a permanently fix will be generated by Jan 2013 which is sad. Is anyone else with me - I mean what is it going to take for Verizon to come up with a solution on this permanently. The sad part of all of this is Verion tells me its an issue with a firmware on the cantenna and the manufacturer of the cantenna tells me to be patient and wait for a fix and when I pressed the issue some more, the manufacturer of the cantenna tells me Verizon has to approve the fix but Verizon says they are waiting for a fix from the manufacturer. So, I am not sure what it is. -
Trackpad quits working multiple times per hour, is it defective?
I have a mid-2012 13" MBP. My trackpad quits working multiple times per hour. When this happens I have to remove my hand from it and wait a few seconds, then I can use it again. It started a few months after I got the machine last year and has gotten progressively worse. Is this a bug in OS X or is this some kind of malfunction? I need to know if I need to take this to an Apple Store to be fixed under warranty.
Yes, your issue has been posted many many times here. Do a forum search and read the posts in the "More Like this" section as well as Apple's articles on the matter - Intel-based Apple Portables: Troubleshooting unresponsive trackpad issues and Portables and Magic Trackpad: Jumpy or erratic trackpad operation
Always, take full advantage of your warranty before you lose it. Call Apple Care and make sure you get a case number. You should also consider purchasing Apple Care Protection plan. -
T510 looses 1% battery life per week
I have had this laptop for about two weeks and I am loosing 1% battery life per week. It spends all of it's time in a docking station so it always charged. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Battery does lose some power when not in use; a case of natural discharge. When docked, the battery is left unused and the system will not charge the battery when it is above a certain percentage, so the battery is left untouched unless it falls below that percentage. Hence, even though you're plugged in, the battery is not charged, but the natural discharge continues. It will start charging again when it reaches the minimum buffer zone for charging.
This is the matter of power retention not maximum capacity. 1% loss per week is quite normal. My suggestion: like human body, battery needs excercise, so just use it up. I heard that natural discharge is not a very good thing. I usually empty my battery once a week.
What you should be more concerned about is maximum capacity which you can always check in the battery tab of the power manager. -
How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?
HI,
I am working on application, when i have written a process to send mail, i have a project where i have to send mail at a time for all the email id's
given list there are upto 5000 email id's where text body also include certain set of data from a report. thinking at a time 3000 its difficult i divided

can any one help me to know How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?
Thanks in advance
GowthamiHi jfosteroracle,
You are getting the error may be the following reason,
Check the following,
Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
It may be the reason.
Thank you.

Firefox is crashing every time I have my MSN email account up. (Since I use it for business, that's many times per day.) It seems to coincide with hotmail's latest update where the email is checked and downloaded to the inbox automatically. Then when it asks me if I want to send the crash report to Firefox, I select yes and it tells me it had trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting I can change? I can't seem to keep my email account up for more than 10 minutes.

Move the Safari app from the Desktop to the Applications folder.
Restart your Mac.
That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...
