Planning configuration error

i succesfully installed hyperion system 9.3 planning.but while configuring the "planning instance" .when i click on create instance (radio button) iam getting the following error:
error while authenticating the user,invalid arguments passed in.please check the arguments.
how to solve that error
what is meant by arguments?

Hyperion Planning Data Source Configuration Error

Hi,
I'm trying to configure Planning. I'm at the last step of the configuration utility, and trying to configure "Data Source Configuration" for Planning.
When I try to do it, I Create the Datasource, I give the Datasource name, and I select the database (which Oracle), and it throws me the error at the step Relational Storage Configuration Details:
com.hyperion.planning.HspDSRdbPanelManager, ERROR, Relational Database Connection Failed:= :[Hyperion][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-12505 Connection refused, the specified SID (******) was not recognized by the Oracle server.
I'm sure that I'm entering the correct database details. But still not able to understan why it is not accepting it.
I'm picking up the SID from the TNSNAMES.ora correctly. I'm able to login to the Db via sqlplus with the same username,pwd and SID. Also able to connect to the Db via TOAD using the same credentials.
But not able to configure the Planning!!!

Which version of planning are you referring to, what OS has it been installed on.
Does your tnsnames ora have different names in the configuration

Is the net_service_name the same as the service_name, if they are different have you tried both of them?

Planning data sources configuration error

Hi,
We have installed epm 11. Within workspace there is the option to manage planning data sources. When this is run a couple of error messages appeared saying the awb database is not running another about the configuration not being correct. All the planning configuration was complete though.
Has any experienced problems with manage plannin data sources?

Awb database? Have you configured EPMA? Sounds like your config may not be correct.
If you have installed EPMA make sure it is correctly configured.

Planning - Recieving errors during configuration process

Hello,
We are currently installing System 11.1.1.1 using Weblogic 9.2 MP1. We have successfully installed and configured Shared Services, Workspace and Essbase. We have installed Planning but I keep recieving errors during the configuration process. The following errors are logged in the configtool_err.log file:

(Feb 10, 2009, 07:30:12 AM), com.hyperion.planning.HspDBConfigurator, ERROR, HP-9.5.0 product is not registered.
(Feb 10, 2009, 07:30:13 AM), com.hyperion.cis.config.wizard.RunAllTasksWizardAction, ERROR, Deployment failed. Admin server doesn't started.

Hi,
What O/S are you installing on?
Is it possible you can try and break down the configuration of planning.
So only have Shared Services / Open Ldap Services running, make sure you can log into shared services console
Run the configurator, choose planning > Configure Database (are you using a seperate database for each product, I am finding it helps with installations)
If you are select the "Perform 1st Time configuration of Database" - Chose Drop and re-create tables"
If successful move on to the configure - Deploy to application Server.

Planning "Configure Product Option" using configuration utility

Hi All,
I have installed HSS on server1 and Planning, Oracle DB in server 2.
Done the HSS configuration and i can able to log into HSS successfully. When i tried to configure my planning,
1. Open the EMP system configurator from planning server
2. Select Hyperion Foundation ( Configure DB, Common database). Here by default "Previousely configure the DB" was secected and configuration was success.
3. Next select planning "Configure Product Option" was not success.
Register with shared service was failed.

We installed 11.1.1.2 Hyeprion products. After configuration we find two errors in Config_err.log file
(<Date & Time>), com.hyperion.awb.config.AWBAppServerDeployer, ERROR, Product is not registered. Register product through Shared Services before doing deployment.
(<Date & Time>), com.hyperion.planning.HspDBConfigurator, ERROR, HP-9.5.0 product is not registered.
Validation showing everyting sucess but in shared services only shared services is exist. but we cofigured Planning, HFM, EPMA, Essbase admin.
while configurting after providing shared servcies database credentials for the remaining product database configuration in cofig cmd screeen showing "HBR Configuration has not been initialized.Make sure you have logged in sucessfullly and ther are no exception in the HBR log file.ConfigurationMangaer not available"
Can any one help onthis.

I am not able to find those things in Provision. So it seems it is not configured correclty. am i correct? and not finding EPMA options in workspace.
But in 11 x it will configure automaticallly in sequence .any way as per my master suggestion(you) i will try to configure workspace weservices at last

I have tried 2 attempts to build out a BizTalk Server 2013 R2, I have followed the MSDN Install instructions, and I keep on getting an error when configuring BAM Portal. I have the logfile available, I need to know what the experts need to see in order to
give me an answer. Understand that we have been using BizTalk Server 2013 for the last two years, and a new developer wants the R2 version and BAM Portal configured. As an administrator I have fought this to no end, and now I have enough evidence to go back
to our project manager and explain why you do not install every feature on a server. Prove me wrong EXPERTS!

Disagree, It is indeed possible to install all the components and feature on a server. Somewhere someone would have installed BizTalk 2013 R2 and all its components in exactly same server configuration successfully in which you are trying to achieve, the
only difference could be a missing Package, Patch, Cumulative Update, Service or any configuration miss at your end.

How do I fix a Configuration Error on MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8 gigs of memory. I was running CS6 and my video board went out. I got it fixed but lost all my data on my hard drive. So I tried installing cs6 from a disk image that I had saved and after entering the serial code I received that my license was revoked. That could be true since I was at another company when I purchased it. Now I'm trying out the TRIAL Adobe cloud solution and after installing and getting updates, when i clicked on the app I get a configuration error when trying to open the . Do I need to delete some library items that are conflicting when I tried to install CS6?

Configuration error when open admin tool in BIEE 11g client

I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, as
Vaishu00547 mentioned that the issue can be caused by the Execution Account you have configured in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager is not correct, Please update the Username and Password and restart the reporting services.
Please also find more details information about when to use the execution account, if possible,please also not specify this account:
This account is used under special circumstances when other sources of credentials are not available:
When the report server connects to a data source that does not require credentials. Examples of data sources that might not require credentials include XML documents and some client-side database applications.
When the report server connects to another server to retrieve external image files or other resources that are referenced in a report.
Execution Account (SSRS Native Mode)

I manage a TFS 2010 Server that makes heavy use of Reporting Services, and I have a user that reported the following error
when attempting to open a report in the Microsoft Visual Studio Report Viewer:

You can try to install "Microsoft Report Viewer 2010 Redistributable Package" on your server to check if it works for you.
For the web.config info, it's for web application. And I'd like to know how did you create the report, and whether the report is for a web app or reporting service. From the error message and report, seems it's not a TFS issue. If it's SSRS project

SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Error(Subscription)

I have just deployed a new project on the server and i can successfully run report from the BI Site; [Server Name]\Reports and no issue there. But when i try to create Subscription for the same report; I am trying File Share and it throws error as given
below. Do i have to configure anything for subscription in the Reporting Services Configuration Tool???
I also have few questions regarding Configuration;
What account should i use for the Deployed Data Source on the Server? A valid SQL Server Account I assume!!!
What account should i use for the Execution Account (For Unattended Operations) ? A valid Windows Account? or SQL Server account?
What account should i use for the File Share Subscription (Credentials used to access the file share:)? A Valid Windows Account with permission for that folder?

For your first issue "cannpt create subscriptions", after analyzing the error logs, it seems to be caused to the service account for the Reporting Services service does not have proper permissions to invoke the WIN32 API.
The SQL Server Reporting Services invokes the Win32 API to impersonate user's permissions to write files to shared folder or call COM+ components.
In this case, we can change the service account to a account has permissions to invoke the Win32 API to solve the issue. For example, we can change the account to be NetworkService or LocalSystem:
1. Backup the encryption key using Reporting Serivces Configuration Manager.
2. Change the service account using Reporting Serivces Configuration Manager.
3. Restore the encryptiong key using Reporting Serivces Configuration Manager.
For your others questions, please see the following inline reply:

The account should be a Windows account or the SQL Server account, that has read permissions in the source data base at least.

The account must be a Windows user account. For best results, choose an account that has read permissions and network logon permissions to support connections to other computers. It must have read permissions on any external image or data file that you

You are right. It must be a Windows account, which has permissions to access and write files to the shared folder.

Laptop crashed, moved HDD to another PC to use CS5 but it gives me a Configuration Error. Error:6

Hi, My laptop containing Adobe CS5 recently crashed. I do not have the serial as this was activated at my school and they only do it once for everyone. What I did was to take the HDD out and put it onto my PC and try to use the application from there, a method which worked before on other applications, but when I wanted to load up dreamweaver and any other applications in the suite it failed to load and popped out the following message:

Can anyone help me out? I don't have the serials nor the CD to reinstall so I'm practically stuck and I cant afford to buy the thing again.

Adobe applications simply don't work that way. Installation puts software and configuration information not only in application-specific directories under \program files\, but also in system directories. As such, Adobe application installations are not portable.
Unfortunately, in order to re-install your software, you will need to go back to your “school” for installation media and serial number information since the software was licensed through them and not directly via Adobe.

Hi,
As per the error logs it seems you have the Form element twice in your web config file. Just take one or the other one out. if you did any changes in web. config file please share and elaborate little more about the changes if you have made recently before
the error.
