Planning error

Hi All,
WHen I'm refreshing essbase from planning DB. I'm getting the following error!!
*com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: Network error [%s]: Cannot Receive Data (1042013)*

Hi All,
I found the issue!!
I loaded dimensions step by step from ODI to Planning and refreshed to Essbase after each step!!
I found the problem is with Accounts dimension.
I deleted some members in account dimension before refreshing it with essbase.
then it got refreshed!!
(I deleted members containing formulas which are not validating planning)
then I was able to refresh to planning!!
I will edit the formulae and will let you know whether it went through!!
surprisingly in 7 version it went through to essbase and when I validated in EAS then its showing warnings!!
but in version 9 it is not even accepting!!

Compensation Planning - Error while doing the planning for Employee

Hi Friends,
We have implemented standard MSS Business package.
Line Mangers are using the Compensation Planning Iview and are facing errors while sending it for further approvals.
In the steps.
In the last step they get RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE.
A critical error has occurred. Processing of the service was terminated.
Access via NULL Object reference not possible.,error key : RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE.
Also to note that while doing the planning we get " No budget Data available"
Is budget data mandatory to complete planning. However in test systems we were able to run the complete cycle even without the budget data we were able to complete one cycle.

Hello..
This might point to an unhanded exception. There should be a backend dump (ST22) available and that would help in more analysis. You might need a ABAPer to look into the dump. You may paste the dump here for more analysis.

Error releasing a billing document to accounting - Billing Plan error

Hello,
I recently encountered a problem with releasing a billing document to accounting. When I click the release to accounting button in VF02 I would get this message "Billing plan 0000057337 does not exist - Program error".
Here are my findings thus far, that particular number appears to have been drived from the number RPLNR, which really isnt encoded in other billing docs. Also the problem seems to arise from the calling of the function module BILLING_SCHEDULE_READ where the rplnr from VBRP(i think).
A similar problem occurs a few months ago and the person who handeled this just advised to cancel the billing doc and re-create a new one.
However, I was wondering if any of you knows the reason why this problem could have occured so it will not happen again.

You can store a billing plan at item level in the sales document during order processing.All the relevant settings are available under the path given below :
Under SPRO / S&D/Billing / Billing Plan .
I had a cursory look , the billing plan is what dictates the invoicing but its not compulsory. It is attached to the Order type & the sales order takes the Billing plan if there is any in the order type. Looks like there was some changes were effected in these settings between the period of the creation of the Sales order & release of the billing document. Have a look....

Just to add to this - all bind variables in a explain plan are considered as varchar2 - regardless of how you define the bind variables.
SQL> var x number
SQL> explain plan for
2 select 'x' from dual where 1 = :x

Build plan error

I created new container for Financial Oracle 11.5.10 after that i added new container subject areas to Financial Oracle 11.5.10 execution plan afer that executed buld paln.
i got below error.

Hi,
Have you defined a database in the physical datasources of type Warehouse? Have you generated the parameters for the execution plan (Execute Tab -> select execution plan -> go to parameters tab in the bottom set of applets -> hit the generate button), if you have already done it is there one in there called DBConnection_OLAP?

Activity type planning error

we want to CO planning for cost center/ activity type labor,but in kP06, it asks for cost element. how can we do planning without cost element
also
second error says:Cost center C231000 has none of the activity types used here

when I check activity type setting, it is: activity type category:1, price indicator:1

Hello
You have to enter the plan against the cost element in KP06.
Check if the activities are assigned to work centers and work centers are mapped to cost centers. Also in the activity master You allow the cost center category in which the cost center C231000 is created. You may enter * in the field CCtr. category.

While doing Installment Plan data migration system is giving the following error's and it is creating installment plan documents but the open item status is not getting cleared.
Error 1:
The installment plan cannot be posted/changed
Message no. >3683
Diagnosis
An error occurred when creating or changing an installment plan. As a result, the installment plan is inconsistent and cannot be posted.

Processing cannot be continued.
Error 2:
Error during processing of legacy system key IP_XXXXXX
Message no. EM110
Diagnosis
An error occurred during the processing of the data transferred for legacy system key IP_XXXXXXXX. The error was detected in function module ISU_M_INSTPLAN_CREATE.
System Response
Processing of the data record is canceled. The error file is updated.
Procedure
1. Read the error description from the log.
2. Correct the data record in the input file.

Something is wrong with the transferred data, but only with an in-depth analysis of the transferred data as well as of the data environment it might be possible to identify what is preventing the instalment plan to be created.

PS: the 2nd error message (EM110) always completes the list of errors of one erronous data object and contains the legacy system key for a link of the error messages to the data in the import file.

Reverse Target planning error.

Hi Team,
I am using ODI 10.1.3 version, here in this all the setup is completed.But in reverse target planning i am getting continuous errors that the planning is not success, the planning in red color only. So please do need full how to overcome from this type of issue.

Cost Planning Error

Hi to All,
My name is Samad Farooq, currently using SAP Version 4.6C
When creating a cost plan using the transaction code KP06, error is encountered when we try to save the planned data. Error that is displayed is as follow Ledger 4A has fiscal year variant V6 instead of K4.
This specific case is happening only when using the controlling area JVCS and company code MAZ. Company code MAZ uses a calendar year.

The fiscal year variant contains the number of posting periods in the fiscal year and the number of special periods.
You can define a maximum of 16 posting periods for each fiscal year in the Controlling component (CO). To define the fiscal year variant, go to Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), Financial Accounting Global Settings--->® Fiscal Year -
Maintain Fiscal Year Variant.
Integration
You need to specify the fiscal year variant for each company code.
When you create a controlling area, you also need to specify the fiscal year variant. The fiscal year variants of the company code and controlling area may only differ in the number of special periods used. You need to ensure that the fiscal year variants match, in other words, they may not have a time conflict.
You can assign a company code using a fiscal year variant with 12 posting periods and four special periods to a controlling area that has a fiscal year variant with 12 posting periods and one special period. The time frame, for example, from April 1 to March 31 in the following year, must be identical in each fiscal year variant.
However, it cannot be assigned to a controlling area with 52 posting periods for example.

BI Integrated Planning - Error config logon tickets

Hi,
I am trying to use the Integrated Planning module in 2004s, when I select the start modeler, I get an error relating to the configuration of SAP logon tickets.
Both the required profile parameters are set to the correct value:
login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
Does Integrated Planning have to use sso?

Hi,
This usually happens when essbase and planning have gone out of sync and planning tries to compare and gets confused.
What I have had to do in the past is get essbase and planning back in sync, this was done by moving the member in the essbase outline through EAS to match the one in planning, then do a full update and hopefully it sees they are matched and passes through.
Or you can back out the changes made in planning by restoring to a backup.
It has always been in a pain in versions before 9.3

SYSTEM 9.2 PLANNING ERROR when trying to connect through web client

Hi , I have created a Planning application on system 9.2version. Whwn i try to access it it gives an error and comesout.However i am able to log into application and refresh databaseusing planning desktop. I do not want to use externalauthentication. So i have bot given CSS url path in Planning CSSpath. When i give the defaul URL path Like Http:// HSS Server:58080/interop/framework/getCSSConfigfile it gives an error that user does not exist and comes out.After that i created user in HSS . But then the error came thatit's " failed to sync provisioning". I am not sure if we could add planning application into HSSwithout logging into planning web client?? Is ther any way we canadd planning application into HSS without logging into planning webclinet? Any help on this would be of great help as i have wasted 2 dayson this. 

Hey azmat thnx for replying but this is not the issue. I hadgenerated properties file (HSP,ESSBASE,HBR)..Infact the applicationname is coming ths drop down list of application on log on webpage... I guess there is some bug with 9.2.0.1 release ..it'sgiving an error in even viewer that could not retrieve version ofhyperion planning ....Anyway i have reverted back to planning 4.0.5release ..i guess i would try to upgrade when system 9.3 releasewould be available...
