Planning layout for account based CO-PA

Hi Gurus!
I want to create a new planning layout in profitability analysis to be able to maintain planned values directly in profitabilty analysis on cost element level.
But somehow there is no possibility to plan the value in comany code currency. When selecting costing based co-pa and then calling transaction KE16 -> create new layout, you are asked by the system whether you want to plan in Controlling Area currency or also in company code currency. But, when selecvting account based co-pa this is not possible. You can only choose controlling area currency.
Can somebody explain this?

My Client is a German Company. Controlling Area currency is EURO, It has operations in India also.
For India, required to create BDC for Activity rate planning.
1. Is it necessary to create separate Planning Layout for INR currency?..I did not find any currency in standard layout.
2. Please explain how it works. whether it takes Cost Center currency or Controlling Area currency?

Hi,
The standard setting for the leading currency plans the transaction currency for costs and the controlling area currency for prices. This is the Standard design. Please review 100379 & 183556 for further information on this.
Please pay attention to the following section of note 100379:
'Note: you can only change these settings in the following Transactions: KP97 (as of Release 3.1I) and KP98 (as of Release
4.6), as well as CP97 and CP98 (as of Release 4.6C). However, you should only carry this out after you have taken Note 183556 into account.'

How to implemented Planning Layout for other plan

Hi,
I have one planning layout for X plant now I want to use same layout for anothr plant. Can I copy the same layout for another plant...? If yes pleast let me know the step with tr.code.
In this senario what I have to copy Planning area, Level or layout...?

Hello,
Why don't use restrict your layout by a variable based on the plant? This variable could for instance be put on the planning level.
Then just add this variable in your planning application via UPSPM.
The variable can be an authorization variable, exit variable, user specific variable...

Planning Layout for WBS Elements

Any one have any idea how to set up the planning layout for WBS ELEMENTS & COST CENTER?
We are trying to plan for WBS elements and Cost center through CJR2 but I don't have any layout designed for this.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I doubt if you can have a single layout for planning both at Cost Centre and WBS level.
But you can create your own layout by copying the standard planning layout under a different name and then change the copy (T code OPO1)
We in our project created a layout with WBS Element (PSPGR) and Cost Element (KAGRU) as Characteristic Values with lead column structure 'Characteristic value and name'.
You then create/assign a Planner Profile>Planning Area>Planning layout using T Code KP34.
Call/change your planner profile (T code KP04) to above before doing the cost planning in CJR2.

Can 'Available section' in Field layout for account page layout renamed ?

I have created custom page layout for 'Account ' where in I have added some custom fields for capturing more specific data of account.
I would like create 'Account installed data' simillar headers available as 'Key Account Information:','Account Sales Information' in account page layout.Is there any possibility of renaming 'Available section'?

santoshpatil, click on Account Layout, then just to the right of Edit you see a down arrow click on it then choose "Edit Sections".

1 Operating Concern for Account Based and Cost Based COPA

Hi,
We are using Operating Concern 3000 for Account Based and Cost based Profitability Analysis. However when i try to extract data from the account based Operating concern it gives me an error in extraction : error 09.
Could it be that we cannot use one operating concern for both types or COPA?

Have you deactivated any of the characteristics used in Account based COPA
Check KEQ3 and you may have activated only for Costing based COPA

Qty from VA88 Settlement for Account based copa

Hi Gurus,
I have a question on VA88 in MTO-E scenario. In account based copa the qty will update in Delivery. In MTO-E Scenario there is no accounting entries in Delivery(PGI).
Is there any way to derive Billing qty in Settlement.(VA88)

It depends on your segment level chars in KEQ3.... Suppose you defined Customre and Product as Seg Levle CHar
Each time you enter a new Cust or Prod in sales order - The record will be written to CE4 and a new PSG no would be generated... Next tieme when you enter same Cust / Prod - Same PSG would be used
If you see carefully in KEQ3 - Sale order is not a segment level char by default.. hence, Sales order is not written in CE4
However, you can see it in table CE4xxxx_ACCT
Regarding jumping no.s you can refer table SNRO and check your buffer... your basis guys should help in this
In Account based COPA, PSG is determined at sale order itself.. refer note 1351257 for more details

Planning Layout for Activities

Good morning gurus,
my need today is the following:
I have a dummy activity type with a price manually planned on a dummy cost center
I have quantities to plan on wbs elements
I have a planne margin valid for one year
I want to insert in the planning layout this margin (as statistical key figure or i don't know...)
Eg:
- Activity tipe PreConfig01 with planned price 10.000,00u20AC on Cost center Offset_Plan
- Planned quantities are 10 on WbeXX and 20 on WbeYY
- My yearly planned margin for 2011 is 20%
- When i use Tcode CJR2 with layout 1-702 i would obtain 120.000,00u20AC and 240.000,00u20AC as result of my planning, instead of 100.000,00u20AC and 200.000,00u20AC that i get now.
Does anybody know how can i customize the layout using skf or formulas?
I don't want to hardcode the margin as a formula in the layout; i want to maintain it as master data in order to easily update it every year.

Creating Planning Layout for GP12N - Posting Period as columns/rows

I am trying to create new layouts for GP12N, but do not know how to create the integrated layout with one column or one row for each Posting Period 1 - 12. I did read that 'Sets' were not allowed. Can anyone provide the steps necessary to allow Posting Periods as columns or rows?

a) Remove period from general data selection.
b) Create 12 columns of the same Key Figure which use the characteristic period and set it as a fixed value

Dear all,
i need to upload data from r/3 and start planning from data i have uploaded.
data is as follows:
year month material amount
what i need to do is to put data in planning layout and put cost element next to that and manually enter cost element.
so desired column is like that:

I know what is already there. I would like to change layout of Tcode CJR2. I must add 3 following columns (display only) to those already there:
1. sender Cost Center Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
2. sender Activity Type Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
3. sender Cost Element Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
So my layout will appear:
sender Cost Center KOSTL
sender Cost Center Description LTEXT (new column - display only)

BW - COPA extraction requirements for account based and costing based

Our client has a requirements of having both account based and costing based BW extraction from ECC.
Is it recommended? if yes, how does it effect BW data model?

Help for Planning Layout in 4Th Currency in FI SL Currency 0SL

Dear friend,
One of my customers wants to create one Planning Layout for 4th in FI SL ( Planning in Profit Center), in table FAGLFLEXT but I didn´t find any information how to configure that. I have asked SAP but I did get any good answer from them.
My customer wants to clear some wrong data from this field 0SL currency. I have already did one but SAP inserted 0 for the other currency if I not flaged conversion field. If I flaged this field SAP wants to converte the data.
But for eraser the wrong data in 4th currency we need not converte and not filled the others currency.
Please, could some one send one material to create this layout or t-code for eraser this data?

Just to ask. Are you coining your own phrase "is not ready for input" or it is the system giving you this message? If it is the system, then the problem lies in your planning layout columns.
I believe you are working with a special purpose ledger. Planning with SPL can sometimes be very tricky. You may want to do the following:
1. Check the Z-tables to see if they contain any data if you've not already done so yet. Especially the Z table which ends with the letter "P".
2. Save the excel sheet as a template with data in text format.
3. Set your planner profile with t.code GLPSET
4. Use GLPLUP to upload your data
I do not believe the problem is with the ledger customizing but hey I may be wrong.
