Planning profile MDP6/MDPH and MD 61

dear sir
can i have many planning profiles for a material?
if so let us say i have two planning profile P1 and P2
in MD 61, demand management t code while creating demand for a material say A with quantity 10, sap is taking a planning profile (first time i can choose from multiple planning profile).after saving MD 61 sap will create the demand with planing profile say P1.
now i want to create the demand for another 5 quantity of same material A with another planning profile P2.
but because of ealier demand of 10 with planning profile P1 it is not considering second profile P2.
is ther any method such that i can attach P1 for 10 quantity and P2 for 5 quantity when the material is same A,where A is a configurable material and i am using varient configuration.
thanking you
srinivas

Hi,
I don't think its possible. But you can try with different Planning Version.

  • Variant Configuration - Conf. Supporting Points - Planning Profiles

Iu2019m currently working on an implementation where we are implementing R/3 (SD, Manufacturing, LO, FI, etc) and APO Demand Planning.  In doing so weu2019re using VC (Variant Configured) Products where weu2019re forecasting at the KMAT Level which should drive the dependent requirements for non-VC items and those VC items that we maintain a Planning Profile (MDP6) and then Conf. Supporting Points for the items.  This is fine for the products that we actually want to maintain a split factor for but most of the VC items we have from a planning perspective we donu2019t actually want/need to maintain a probability usage for the VC items.  In trying to maintain the Planned Independent Requirements we receive error messages stating we need to maintain the profile and also manage supporting points.
I was able to release a forecast from DP and place it in Demand Management R/3 but if you want to change it in R/3 youu2019re forced to maintain the profile and supporting points.  Also, even using the released forecast from DP when I run MRP I get en error message 52 u201CNo BOM Selectedu201D and then opening the order that is generated I get message 61259 Material requires configuration and the message (below) indicates that characteristic values need to be maintained.
What Iu2019m looking for is a way to allow MRP to plan these items without having to maintain a profile for thousands of materials.  Also, so it would enable the ability to maintain the forecast for those items in MD62.
    ERROR MESSAGE IS BELOW:
    Material requires configuration
    Message no. 61259
    Diagnosis
Orders and requirements for a configurable material must have characteristic values.
Usually, you should create a variation for configurable materials managed in inventory management which has the default variant configuration.
    System Response
MRP: Requirements without characteristic values for a material cannot be planned in MRP.
    Procedure
    Check requirements or orders.
Create a configuration evaluation for the material in the material master record if necessary.

  • Transport of planning layouts and planning profiles (CO - Cost Center Acc.)

    Dear Experts,
I am new to SAP CO and would like to transport new planning layouts and planning profiles. Therefore I clicked on transport and the following customizing task is added to my transport request:
IMG Activity  Create Planning Layouts for Cost Element Planning
    -> ke34
    ->
    CEFORMC
    CEFORMF
    CEFORMS
    CEFORMT
    CEFORMV
    CEFORMW
    CEPRINT
    CESETS
    TKEBS
    TKEP1
    TKEP2
    TKES1
    TKES2
    TKES4
    TKES5
    TKESK
    The transport worked without error.
Unfortunately none of the layouts arrives in test environment.
Do you have any idea of what I could have forgotten?
    Thanks a lot!!
    Thomas

After you have released the transport request, the objects of the request are available in the target system and the target clients. If you want to carry out a client copy within the same system, proceed as follows:
           1.      Log onto the system in the desired target client.
           2.      Start the client copy (Tools > Administration > Administration > Client Administration > Special Functions > Copy Transport Request; transaction SCC1) and enter the source client and the number of the transport request.
           3.      Then start importing the objects.

  • Planning Profile Start and Finish Dates (Project systems)

    Hi Friends,
I need a help from you in regard to Start and Finish dates of Planning Profile dates.
For transactions cmp3 and cmp9, the start date should be the current date, and Finish date should be End of the current year for the selected profiles. I had done the necessary configuration for profiles in spro and tried. I could make the starting date appear as current date, but the year is increasing the next day, which i do not want.
Can anyone suggest how to tackle this problem. Can we get the soln, by any non standard method.
    I appreaciate your valuable views.
    Regards,
    VENKAT

The fourth parameter of your start condition is probably incorrect. When your event is not in the queue, the virtual attribute doesn't bind the webservice to the agent determination subworkflow, which probably causes the third instance of the org management object to fail, resulting in a knock on effect of the workflow inserting an incorrect planning date.
Alternatively, might I gently suggest posting your question in a PS forum, we mostly deal with workflow and BPM-related issues here.
    Cheers,
    Mike

  • Variant Configuration - Planning tables disappearing from planning profiles

    Hi everyone,
I'm having a strange problem with some planning profiles I've set up in MDPH for several of our configurable products. I'm getting reports from our production planners that certain planning tables within these profiles are suddenly disappearing from the profiles, along with all the values they've input for those characteristics. This is apparently happening without anyone making any changes to the profiles.
By way of background, I've recently created several new variant models (including planning profiles) for a new series of products, several of which share characteristics with the variants that are experiencing the problem I described. Is it possible that this might somehow be impacting the planning profiles of the old variants?
Any help is greatly appreciated. We're running 4.6c, FYI.
    Thanks,
    - Greg

    Hello Anil,
Thank you very much for your reply. I've read both notes you referenced and they seemed very promising in that the symptoms described match what we are seeing. Unfortunately, however, they don't seem to reflect the root cause of the problem I'm seeing. Our users are logging in in English, and we have English names for the characteristics in question. Also, we are on a later patch version (55) than the one that fixed this issue (51). So I don't think this one will help us to fix the issue.
If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Thank you again for your help on this!
    Regards,
    - Greg

  • How can we define time stamp in rough cut planning profile

    Hi all
There is no time stamp(From date to date) in Rough cut planning profile and it is just time span (0-5 ,5-10,... workdays) . If I have different capacity for my resource in different intervals how should I define it so that in planning table it can take it to account and show me requirement versus avalilable capacity acoordingly.Note that we are working with repetitive plannig and our resources are lines which have different production rate between each interval.
    Regards
    Babak Bolourchi

    Dear,
In REM you can use planning table through MF50 for your requirement.
For time stamp in rough cut planning profile   please refer my reply from this link,

  • Rough cut planning profile

    Hi Gurus,
Our scenario is we have two plants. The sales orders and the PIRs will be created in the Plant 1 and these requirements will be transferred as Stock transport orders to plant 2(with special procurement key) .All the materials will be manufactured in plant2.BOMs and routings are maintained in Plant 2.
In this case if i want to maintain the rought cut planning profile , how can i map the scenario.
    Please help me in this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravi

    Hi Krishna,
    There are two plants.
    Plant 1
    Plant 2
We will be creating PIRs in Plant 1.There is a special procurement key maintained for material which will say stock transfer from plant 2.
    The below are the steps:
    1. Create PIRs in the plant1.
    2. Run MRP
    3. STO req. will be created in Plant 1 against the PIRs.
    4. As the special procurement key is maintained in material master Planned orders will be generated in plant 2 against these  STOs from plant1.And production will be done in plant 2.
So, now if i want to do rough cut plannig profile how can i proceed.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Rough Cut Planning Profile MC35

    Hi all,
I was trying to check capacity rough cut planning in product group level, so i have to make the RCPP (ROugh Cut Planning Profile) in that product group level using MC35,
i still confuse with the time span, base qty and the value in resource table at MC35, what is the connection between these 3 value??
    regards,
    MARUFAT

    Hi,
i still confuse with the time span and the resource table in RCCP MC35
i enter the time span with value 1, and the resource table column will give value 1,2,3,...
and when i enter the time span with 5, the resource table column will give value 0-5, 6-10, ...
if i enter the base qty is 5000 to, with time span value 1, and in resource table i enter for column 1 with value 40 and column 2 with value 50, what is the meaning of that? ( the Resource table use work center with UOM HR )
    regards,

  • Rough Cut Planning Profile-by Capacity category

    Hai,
I am creating Rough Cut Planning Profiles in ECC6.0 for use in Standad SOP (S076). In MC35, I don't see a place where I can enter by Work center category- like I want both Machine and Labour categories as I have different times for each category.
    { when I view the rough-cut capacity situation in MC82, system displays both categroies, but it is based on only the hours I maintained for one of the categories- how do I maintain for both categories?}
    Thank you in advance:)

Edited by: Sonali on Apr 28, 2009 3:05 PM

    Hello Sonali,
Rough cut capacity planning is used only  for bottle neck resources.Analyze your process and you will come to know for the product group or material which category or machine is bottleneck.
Create a rought cut planning profile for a production line or Workcenter or PRT or Cost(Relative cost not product cost).
PS:Roughtcut capcity planning should not be used for all the workcenters.
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • DP Planning in Fiscal Periods and Fiscal Weekly Periods

    Hi,
We are using fiscal calnedar that starts on first Sunday of Nov with 4 weeks in each period i.e., fiscal year 2009 started on Nov 2nd (Sunday) and first period goes from Nov 2nd (Sunday) to Nov 29th (Saturday) and so on.
So, our fiscal week also starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday i.e., in first period of 2009 the following are the fiscal weeks
    1 fiscal week - Nov 2nd to Nov 8th
    2 fiscal week - Nov 9th to Nov 15th
    3 fiscal week - Nov 16th to Nov 22nd
    4 fiscal week - Nov 23rd to Nov 29th
    1 fiscal period  - Nov 2nd to Nov 29th
In storage bucket profile we are able to assign only one fiscal period profile. There is no place to consider fiscal weeks.
Created two planning books as follows
    1. Planning book with time bucket profile of fiscal periods. It is allowing me to plan in fiscal periods and works as expected
    2. Planning book with time bucket profile of fiscal weeks. It is not allowing me to plan in fiscal weeks
How to make the fiscal weeks planning book work?
    Thanks in advance,
    Srini

What version are you using? We asked for this in 2003 at ASUG and although it was delivered in 4.1 we never got it to work, but when we upgraded to 5.1 it works perfectly.
Define 1 storage bucket profile with fiscal weeks and 2 planning bucket profiles, one with fiscal weeks and the other with fiscal months. Then define your planning area with the SBP fiscal week. Within interactive planning, turn on the header functionality. Choose the first icon on the upper left corner of the planning grid and choose "change periodicity" and you can switch from "fiscal weeks" to "fiscal months".

  • Issues in retrieving the Planning profiles in CRM from BW while doing CRM-BI Integration

    Dear Folks,
We are in the process of doing the SAP CRM & BI Integration wrt Trade Promotion Mangement.
For testing purposes, we tried to create a planning profile in BPS end i.e BW SEM system & trying to retrieve it from the CRM system using the below navigation.
SPRO-->CRM--> Define Transaction types--> ZBPD is the transaction type we had created.
And in Customizing Header level, in SEM Planning tab, trying to retrieve the Planning profile created in SAP SEM-BW.
Tried to search in both ways i.e prefixing the 'zprofile' with /prf/zprofile but still CRM system is not reading the same from BW system.
What ever the pre-requisites that are needed to be followed before doing all these, the same had been done in terms of creating the RFC Connections etc but still unable to retrieve the same.
And also not finding any standard content in the form of Planning areas & profiles at BW end after installing the SEM BW component add on in BW system.
Could you pls let us know what we are missing here.
    Thanks in advance.

I meet the same problem, any solution?

  • GLPLADM Planning profile for new gl - default parameters

i have copied the existing SAPFAGL profile and the layouts belonging to them and created a new profile with the same layouts. i am trying to set default parameters in order to get file description for each of the planning layout. i am able to do in our sandbox but not in the development client. the difference between two clients are sandbox is an upgraded version to 6.0 and the development client is a new box loaded with ECC 6.0. kindly help me on this.i would need to have the file description in order to do a excel planning upload. my excel planning upload works fine for the cost center profile and the layouts. i am having issue with the new g/l planning where the planning is done at the profit center and g/l Account

no errors no issues.. usually when we click on the default parameters it takes us to the screen showing the layout and then we key in data and the excel sheet gets loaded . we key in data or we can save the file description , it is automatically generated and the file description generated by the system gets populated in the file description field of the planning layout in the planning profile. in my case, when i click the default parameters, it doesnt go any further, and no warning or erro messages are issued. the same default parameters take me to the layout screen when i click the default parameters from the Cost center planning profile. i am not able to resolve this, asked many people but of no use. hope you understand my issue.

  • Significance of Planning profile

    Hi PP Gurus,
Can anybody pl tell me what is the significance of planning profile?
I am getting an error saying maintain planning profile for the material during creation of PIR.
    regards,
    Pramod.

    Hi Pramod,
As you know, we use configurable material when the scope for varaints are more. Generally, when we created sales order for the configurable material, we choose different characteristics for the selection of the finished product. So, information flows to production which is already configured. But in the case of MTS, the system does`nt configure the material on its own. Initially, you need to configure for the material, only then your dependent requirements will be defined. So, whenever you enter PIR, the requirements are created for the materials that are configured in the planning profile. Hope you got the point cleared.
Reward if cleared and close the thread.
