Planning straegy 60/ 63 need to consume PIR

I am using a planning material with the strategy 60/63 in MRP 3 to plan multiple variant Finished Good product with planning strategy 60/ 63
The issue is Planned orders are created for sales order and PIRs at the FG level. There is an way/icon to convert the planned order to a process order for the plnd order (type KD) created against the sales order, but there is no icon for converting the plnd order (type VB) to process order for the one created against the Ind req VSEV.
When I look at the  PIR, in this case, it shows consumption indicator  = 1 (consume with customer requirement)., which is generally  = 3, for Planning strategy 40.
It seems this is behaving like MTO situation.
1) Is it true planning strategy 60 and 63 are for MTO? 63 should be for MTS, unless I am mistaken somewhere in the MRP settings: Mixed MRP etc.
Pls advise.
Thnx!

  • Deliveries consuming PIRS in planning strategy 40

    Hi SAP Experts,
I have a customer who has a business processes where sales orders are immediately converted to deliveries on saving of VA01. Is there anyway to drive deliveries to consume PIRs in strategy 40?
    Thanks for your help,
    Geetha

    Geetha,
Usually, deliveries don't hang around long enough to affect planning, so consumption is typically not so important.  However, they can be made to consume PIRs if you want them to.
When a Sales doc is saved, it creates a requirement.  The type of the requirement in strat 40 sales orders is normally one that consumes PIR.  When the delivery is created, the Sales requirement is deleted and is replaced with the requirement for the delivery.  In strat 40, this requirement can be configured to consume PIR.
You can review whether the delivery will consume by reviewing the requirements type assignment in OVZI.  Enter the item category of the delivery you will be using, and the MRP type.  Review the detail: you want the allocation indicator at the bottom to be "1" (consume planning with assembly).  If it is not, you must assign a requirement type that consumes, or change the existing requirements type so that it consumes.  Available requirements types can be seen in OVZH, where you can see and/or change the  requirements class they are assigned to .  The requirements class itself can be viewed and modified in OVZG if necessary.  The field you want to be set in OVZG is "All in" (allocation indicator), which should be '1'. for strat 40.

I have AT&T also just called them yes to use Facetime on there network you need the mobile share program but if you have wifi in your home like I do and I am always on my wifi 95% the facetime will work on Wifi I am thinking of doing this in Feb because I will have 3 iphone devices on the acct and the price that I quoted will be about 20.00 less then I estamated I would be paying for 3 iphones if I keep the plan I have now and add another separate internet on the 3rd iphone it will be close to 200.00

  • Planning Strategy that drive demand on both PIR and Sales Order

    Hi,
Do anyone know is there any planning strategy that i could use to drive demand on both PIR and SO? PS 40 won't suitable as it will compare between PIR and SO and only drive demand on which is higher in term of quantity loaded in. I am looking on a planning strategy which will sum up both PIR and SO as total demand.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Try Planning Strategy Production By Lot Size (30) it will create planned order by mrp run from PIR and SO, no consumption will do for this planning strategy. This planning strategy commonly used where you want to keep existing sales order in MD04 (usually contract sales type, not a direct sales) as a requirement to generate planned order.

No.  You should just have different options in the Creative Cloud manager.

  • Couldn't add you to the Family plan as your account needs to be based in the same country

I sent a Family plan invite to my wife's email address. After resting her password (perhaps she's not the one who made the account?) she tried to accept the invite by entering the token. She was told: We couldn't add you to the Family plan as your account needs to be based in the same country as the Family plan owner. We checked and both profiles show USA as the country. What's the hang up?

    Hi guys welcome!
Can you check if the country of both accounts match? You can check this by going to the Account Overview page.
If one of the accounts doesn't match, then change it to the right country.

  • Planning Strategies 10 and 40 with Stock Transfer Orders for consuming PIRs

    Hello,
I have the following situation in a Client:
    One Production Plant (1000)
There exist various Plants  to sell products.
The production Plan (PIRs) I create in Plant 1000 (MD61). Monthly buckets.
The planiing strategy I want to use is 40  or maybe 10 (both to Stock).
Consumption of the materials in plant 1000 is via:
    1. Stock transfer orders to other plants (with Shipping funcionality)   (about 80% of the shipping form plant 1000)
    2. Sales Ordes with shipping   (10%)
    3. Transfer postings from one plant to another (303 - 305 movement type) (10%)
How can I make sure that all these outgoing movements from plant 1000 do consume my forecast? Is this standard funcionality.
    Thanks for any reply,
    Aart

    Hello Mario,
Thanks for your answer. I looked at the note but Im not sure it does apply in our situation.
Let me explain our situation maybe more clearly:
I want to create a monthly Forecast (MD61) with PIRs for Production Plant 1000. (Planining strategy 10)
The stock created in plant 1000, on the basis of this forecast is consumed during the month by:
    1. Stock Transfer Orders (from plant 1000 to plant X) - (for 95%)
    2. Sales orders (directly) (5%)
The STOs should not be on top of the PIR but should be part of the PIR.
For your information, the stock which is moved from plant 1000 to plant X via STOs, is sold at plant X (not directly at plant 1000).
this stock sold monthly at plant X however, is considered withing the forecast!
I hope this clarifies  our situation a bit more.
    Thanks for any anwer,
    Bye

  • Forecasting Based planning, consider incoming Sales orders, Consume PIR's

    Hello Guys:
I am in real Problem about this one: I am implementing forecast-based MRP for our client which is a trading company: buys, keeps in storage and sells goods (R/3 ECC 6). We are using material forecast on a monthly period, and run MRP on a weekly period since POs are to be created weekly (therefore we also use the "Splitting indicator" to split monthly forecast values to weekly requirements)
The way MRP calculates future stocks in this situation (MRP type VV) is like this:
    Current stock
    + Open POs to arrive
    - Forecast Requirement
    = Future stock
The problem with that one is that if there is an SD order or delivery in the future, SAP does not count in that one as well. It is a real problem, just imagine that in two weeks we have a forecast of 10 pieces of a material. SAP will propose Preqs based on this 10 piece consumption, even if we have an SD sales order for that week on 30 pieces. (by the way the SD order is in the list of MD05 but SAP does not count in that one for future stock reductions).
If I modify the MRP type in customizing OMDQ, I can make SAP to count in real consumptions (sales orders) in the future stocks: I set "MRP procedure" to PD (MRP) or "R1" (Time-phased materials planning). In this case MRP calculates like this:
    Current stock
    + Open POs to arrive
    - Forecast Requirement
    - Real future requirements (sales orders)
    = Future stock
So in this case SAP will recommend double quantities to purchase: once for the forecast reqs and on the other hand for the real sales orders.
It is a trap, SAP should reduce the forecast requirements with the real requirements. The really bad news is that there is a switch for this in OMDQ for the MRP types called "Reduce forecast" but it is not working: I have tried all the combinations of codes in the frame "Use forecast for MRP" but it can only decrease req for the current month and only on a timely basis code "2" for MRP procedure "PD" or "R1".
    Thanks for Help.
    Sweth123

    Hi Mario:
I am using MRP type PD , Running the forecast using MP30 which generate the forecast requirement.
I go to MD61 , I Slected Material Forecast option and Copied the forecast requirements as planned independent requirement,
AFter that when i run MD02 and go to MD04 Screen.
System Displays MRP Element: UnPlrq----Forecast quantity  --1000
MRP Element VSF for Planned Independent requirement -1000.
Based upon historical consumption data , if there ia requirement of 1000pc , system is proposing 2000 pcs to buy.
Is there any config setting i need to change so that system won't double the requirement quanitities?
    Please clarify
    Sweth.

  • Consume PIR from Sales Order when PIR's are not in BOM Usage 1

I need help determining which combinations of Strategy groups I need at the header level (Variant Config KMAT) and item level Phantoms (HALB)  The Phantoms are just used to drive forecast, I have no need to issue or stock these items... just need them to be reduced when I use them in a Sales Order.
Please help me understand the planning strategy groups or the requirement type combinations on the header material and the item materials.
Standard SAP will consume the PIR if they exist in the production BOM (Usage 1).   However, due to Usage 1 having the object dependencies placed at lower levels and parameter effective, I am not able to add the foretasted assemblies to the usage 1 BOM.  I have created the PIR's for these HALBu2019s using Simulative Long Term Planning.
I need a way to consume/reserve the foretasted PIR's from the sales order... without the use of the Production Order or Planned Order.  I think it can be done at the time of the sales order PGI... but have not been able to figure out the configuration.  Below are the main steps if the PGI is the vehicle for consumption.
Sales Order uses Configuration Profile SD01, KMAT and BOM Usage 5 items are in the found in the Sales Order.
KMAT is inactive in Demand Management (MD62).
BOM Usage 5 items have PIRu2019s, they are created from Simulative Long Term Planning.
    1.     During Sales Order creation, the BOM Items are selected from VC.
    2.     During Sales Order PGI, the BOM Items are consumed and show as withdrawn in MD623/MD73.
Sales Order Reservation and/or Consumption of Item Level Planned Independent Requirements
***PIR's are not found in the Production BOM, only the Sales BOM.
***Production BOM and Sales BOM have same KMAT, and same Object Dependencies
Step 1:     Create Sales order for KMAT 10000008
              a. Sales Order will have KMAT at line item 10
              b. Sales Order will have BOM Usage 5 materials as items (see BOM's Below)
VC will pick the specific materials that are relevant to order
Step 2.     Sales Order is Saved/Confirmed.
              a. A reservation will be created against the Planned Independent Requirements for Sale BOM Items.
MD73 for the HALB will show the Planned Independent Requirement, and the Reservation.
              b. A Planned Order is created using BOM Usage 1.
VC will pick the specific materials that are relevant to order
Step 3.     Production Order is completed and issued to Sales Order.
Step 4.     Sales Order Delivered with PGI
              a. The HALB PIRu2019s in the Sales Order will be withdrawn (reservation goes away, PIR qty reduced by 1 PC).

You can manage copying data from the sales order to the production order by some FMS.
For data not in the production order you can define UDF-s on the production order.
E.g.copying the item code you can use this FMS:
    SELECT T0.ItemCode
    FROM RDR1 T0  INNER JOIN ORDR T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE T1.DocNum =$[$32.1]
          and T0.VisOrder=0
connecting this to the Product No. field setting autorefresh when Production Order Origin Number changes.
Or copying the Item details you can use this FMS
    SELECT T0.Text
    FROM RDR1 T0  INNER JOIN ORDR T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE T1.DocNum =$[$32.1]
          and T0.VisOrder=0
connected to an UDF setting autorefresh when Production Order Origin Number changes.
(And similar other FMS-s can be connected to other fields you want to copy.)

  • Consume PIR with Delivery, instead of with Sales Order

    Hi Experts,
I am posting this question here, because in PP forum I did not find solution.
Is it possible and how, planned independent requirements (PIR) to be consumed not with sales orders, but with outbound deliveries?
I did the following customizing - created Z1 plannign strategy as a copy of strategy 40. In Z1 I changed the customer requirements type from KSV to 011 (Delivery requirement). Requirements transfer is disabled for sales orders and is enabled for deliveries.
When delivery is created it is displayed and planned from MRP but it does not consume the PIR.
Consumption mode and periods, as well as strategy Z1 are maintained in my material master.
Please advise is this possible and how?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nikolay

Hi Madhu and thank you for reply.
    Please find my answers bellow.
    1) Customer requirements will be taken into account first OK.
Yes, but not SO, just outbound delivery.
    2) Sales orders that exceed planned independent requirements can influence production OK.
Not sales orders, but deliveries must influence the production.
    3) The most important factor is the ability to react flexibly to the customer demand OK.
    OK
    4) Planned Independent requirements are allocated and reduced during sales order processing OK.
The consumption must be done upon delivery, not on sales order.
    5) PIR's will be reduced at goods issue for delivery OK.
I want to have PIR reduced when delivery is created.
Thanks and waiting for your reply.
    BR,
    Nikolay

  • I upgraded my storage plan, I do not need it and I am trying to downgrade but when I get to the last part where I am to click on "done", "done" is not illuminated and I can not complete the transaction...in other words, downgrade my storage

I am not able to downgrade my storage.  The process does not complete on the last page.

LONG STORY---It took 78min16sec but I did get my storage downgraded. I called 1-800-MY APPLE (1-800-692-7533). After 5 min I explained my issue (same as yours - couldn't get DONE to click) and they said they needed to transfer me to Apple Care. 15 minutes later Apple Care said they needed to transfer me to iTunes ETA 15 more minutes. W-A-Y more than 15 min later, the Apple Care person, who did check back with me throughout the wait time, handed me off to iTunes. Apple Care and iTunes had talked and iTunes had my problem in the process of being taken care of as we began talking. The people were all very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. It took a LONG time, but the problem is now solved. Actually iTunes said that my storage had already been downgraded. iTunes also processed a storage upgrade refund for me.
SHORT STORY - Phone 1-800-MY APPLE (1-800-692-7533) and ask to speak to an iTunes Store Support Advisor to downgrade your iCloud storage plan.

  • Can we use MRP to plan for FERT in-house produced  with PIR's & has Min/Max

    Hi SAP Guru's
I have a very critical issue from the client who wants to use MIN/ MAX stock values for planning its finished products (in-house produced)
<b>here is the details of the scenario</b>
Client recieves 2 Excel files every week from customer
<b>1st</b> file contains the Weekly Demand Forecast of FERT material for next 1 year and they upload it in MD61 as PIR's <u><b>BUT</b></u> this value is also <u><b>Inclusive</b></u> of Safety stock value (<b>ex: if weekly demand entered in MD61 as PIR is 50 and if safety stock value is 10, then actual demand is only 40)</b>
<b>2nd</b> file send contains only <b>safety stock values</b> (for ex in this case let it = <b>10</b>) to be maintained for the FERT materials
the client wants MRP to plan and trigger based on this PIR's in MD61 and Safety stock level fand plan for FERT, HALB and also ROH materials as defined in the BOM also taking into consideration the current WIP levels (Work in progress for any existing production orders currently being processed) based on the production Lead times values maintained
so what the client wants is they want to maintain 2 stock values, that is one least stock value and other higher value which if stock falls below this point, will trigger production based on the lead time and considering any WIP levels also
<b>(for ex in this case if PIR = 50 and safety stock is 10, MRP run result client wants is = 30 and NOT =40)</b>
    so here are my questions
    1. is this scenario feasible? use safety stock and min/max level for in-house produced finished which has demand PIRs in MD61 at the same time?
    2. Also due to SOX complaince regulations, the client does not want to change the forecast values in MD61, so is it possible to make some settings so that forecast is corrected by WIThOUT including the safety stock value in it? ( for ex: in this case as = 40 only and NOt as 50)
    3. which all settings should i maintain like for MRP type or lot size or stock qty levels or anyother customizations if any required so that when we run MRP, can it ignore the safety stock value and generate the client desired output?
thank u verymuch for your time & expert advice in advance

    Hi Chakri,
This is not possible as per standard functionality. MRP always creates proposals for the shortage quantity of the safety stock. We have used the user exit in the plant level MRP run to exclude both plant and safety stock in the net requirements calculation.
You have to write logic to convert the safety stock into plant stock in the user exit so there will be no additional procurement proposals...you can create custom indicatar in materail master or linked any existing indicator like MRP group to the user exits so the MRP will checks this and will not create proposals for the selected parts.
If you have any questions then please inform.
