Plant change for main work center

Can i change the Plant of work center

Hi Shahanawaz,
Alternative way to over come this problem is you can put deletion flag to current W/C , Before that pls check exixting order related to that W/C and check Task list too.
To mass change for orders use T code CA85.
After that U need to create new W/C for diffrenet plant.

  • How to change the main work center and  work center of each operation when generating work order by maintenance plan

    Dear experts,
    I face a problem that system get main work center from equipment master data as a default main work center in maintenance plan when creating maintenance plan. however, if main work center in equipment is changed later, the change will not synchronize to related maintenance plan. if work order is generated from maintenance plan, main work order in order is defaulted from maintenance plan instead of updated work center in equipment.
    another problem is that, for those orders generated by maintenance plan, the work centers in  operations is defaulted from task list in maintenance plan. in most case, work center in task list is dummy. Actually the work is done by work center in equipment master data.
    My expectation is how to auto replace the main work center and work center of operations in work order with the one in equipment master data if order is generated by maintenance plan? is there any standard configuration or enhancement/BADi that can help with this requirement?

    Sorry - development is the only way.
    Another option is to create a batch program that runs before your IP30 run(s) and updates any maintenance items and task lists with the correct work centres.

    We have prepared a tool for client, which create Maintenance Plan and order in the background.
    The order created is having "Main Work Center" defined at header and "Work Center" at the operations level. In the current scenario the "Main Work Center" and "Work Center" are different say 'ABC' & u2018XYZu2019.
    Client has the requirement that work center maintained at operations should be same as the main work center.
    We need to implement the solution to take care of work center to be same as main work center while creation of the order in the background.
    Has anyone worked on the similar requirement before?
    I checked for existing USER EXITS for IW31/32/33 and found only one IWO10012. This doesnu2019t seem to be much useful.
    Please suggest any possible solution.

    Thanks for the response. The current situation is that we are creating the order in background using the Z-program. The scenario is creating order with operation entries having work center not equal to the main work center.
    I am not functional, so just talking in terms of technical terms.
    Is there a way the work center at operation level can be changed to main work center in background?

      I'm trying to create Functional locations using BAPI BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE. I got almost all the fields except 'MAIN WORK CENTER' and 'PLANT  Associated with main work center'. Please advise me the relevant fields in the importing parameters of this BAPI so that I can upload the same.

      Thanks for your response. Actually after doing further R&D, I saw that work_ctr requires the object key of the work center. I fetched the OBJECTKEY from CRHD & passed. It automatically updated both work center & plant associated.

  • Table Link for EQUNR (Eqpt Number) and GEWRK (Main Work Center)

    I need to fetch the main work center from equipment master. I need a direct table link between the equipment number and mainwork center. We are getting a link of equipment number (EQUNR) to work center (ARBPL) and a link of work center (ARBPL) to main work center (GEWRK). But the problem with this scenario is - main work center is not getting fetched from equipment master once work center is missing.
    We want a direct link through some table between EQUNR and GEWRK.

    Appreciate your problem !
    Many a times in such a situation (which I presume exists where no direct link is available between fields); we have 2 clear cut approaches -
    Approach 1:
    Develop a SAP Query, Functional Area/Infoset, and User Group ( using T code :SQ03,SQ02,SQ01 respectively )
    While developing Functional Area feed in these 2 tables (Table 1- equipment number (EQUNR) & work center (ARBPL) and Table 2 - work center (ARBPL) to main work center (GEWRK) with  work center (ARBPL) as the Primary Key- bridge to join these 2 tables.
    In SAP Query Development; you may take Plant as the Selection Field or any other field as per business requirement to make a search in the query.
    Now when you execute this query, you will get a complete Download of (EQUNR),work center (ARBPL)  and main work center (GEWRK) in one table.
    For SAP Query, you may also approach your ABAP Team Member. This is a cleaner approach than the other one.
    Approach 2:
    Take SE16 download of the Table 1 and Table 2 and join them in Excel (using vlookup if required).This approach is however limited to the data volume that you have to process.

    Hi Paulo
    though you have closed this thread I would like to tell you that In standard T- code IW38 there is a carry out mass change option available through which you can change many data including Main Work center. Pl check the following steps
    Select the orders through IW38 & click on order (at the top menu) & select carry out mass change (or CTRL+F11)
    you will get a popup screen for selection of fields to be changed.

    Hi,
         The work Center entered by default comes in operation work center, u can do validations while saving the Order :-using user exit : IWO10009 PM Order: Customer Check for 'Save' Event.

  • Change history of work center in Prodn Order

    Hi All,
    We currently are changing the work center in prodn order via an ABAP program number of times based on various conditions. We would like to know the change history for the work center in prodn order. Is there any <b>transaction or report or function module </b> that we can run for a given prodn order to know these changes. This change info is not captured in AUFK or AFPO or AFKO or logs for Prodn Order.
    We have not activated audit trail for this. Please can anyone suggest a soln for this.

    AFRV table contains  Confirmation pool information. But I am looking for change history for the work center in prodn order. Like after creating the prodn order u changed the work center and then again after release of prodn order u changed it to some other work center (for some particular business reason). I would like to see all this change history.

                   My requirement is to download notifications based on main work center.The downloaded notifications contains task level person responsible.If the notification contains four task assigned to different persons.Let suppose one task is assigned to the mobile user and other three task to another user.Now the first mobile user should able to edit the task  assigned to him ,but he should able to see all other task in disable mode that are assigned to other user.Iam using agentry work manager 5.3

    I have an requirement to display in a pop-up window a list of production orders for a work center.
    Does anyone know which screens/transactions would show this relationship?
    Or better yet, does anyone know how to demonstrate this from the tables themselves?

    For system I am working in, I do get a grid display when entering a work center.  It has columns like "Order, Material, Icon, Order Type, MRP cntrlr, etc."   But no column with Work Center.

  • Employee Responsible for a work center

    Good Morning,
    We use Project Systems in order to do project management within SAP.  We use the work center to define the team structure.  I know that there is a place to maintain the person responsible for a work center in the config, but the entry here is a text field.  We are trying to link the owner of a workcenter back to the reporting structure that can be pulled from HRP1001, and a text field makes it more difficult to track this back to the HR side.  We currently enter the name of a manager in this field, and if there is no other place to define the person responsible using a pernr, we'll have to start using this field to enter personnel number.  This will allow ABAP to pull the pernr and trace it to a position number on HRP1001.  I'd like to keep the manager name in this field if at all possible though.  Any help will be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
    Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
    Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
    In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
    Year as 2009,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5) & enter the per hour Rate
    After performing this in work center assign activity type & cost center
    should be assigned. Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
    as per the operation time, whichu2019s used by the work center, the cost is getting calculated.
    Overhead cost is the indirect cost which's spent during production.
    So when the cost rollup is taken using T code CK40N (or else using CK11N estimating & CK24 for

    -If there is this actual work hours done on a work order by non- maintenance personnel for a certain work center and same is not reflecting under operation tab of work order, then where & how this hours (done by non- maintenance personnel) for a work order is maintained for that work center?.
    -In which database table these hours done by non- maintenance personnel for a work order is stored by work center wise.?

  • Overhead for each Work center

    Hi all,
    Presently we are calaculating the overhead for the total operations in the service order.Now the requirement is client want to have overhead for each workcenter user in the service order.
    Lets say,there are 3 workcenters were used in the service order with 3 operations.Now instead of single overhead,they want three overhead in the order.I know this is not the right place to post this and I just thought some one could experianced this scenario in their projects.If so pl share with me.

    you can do this provided you have customized the costing sheet as per the requirement .Create separate Activity type for each work center with different cost element .
    while creating the costing sheet create separate base row for the respective cost element and then fix the overhead percentage
