Plant Delievery time.
Hi
I am purchashing RM from different sources like Import ,Domestic & Subcontractor & leadtime are 120,30,15 days respectively.
I am using split valuation for RM.
Now which plant delivery time I have to maintain in Material Master.
hw the MRP will behave for the such case.
please give you valuable input.
rgds,
vijay
Dear,
Planned delievery time is maintained in the material master MRP-2 view & in the vendor info record. Go to ME12 and enter the material, vendor , pur org and plant
than hit enter
you will see general data screen
hit enter again and you will reach to the Pur org data 1 screen
here you can enter the pland del time on control data option.
You maintain your planned delivery times for each vendor in your info records.
You need to ensure you have flagged the scheduling info record/agreem. flag (Determine Planned Delivery Time) in transaction OPPQ.
You also need to ensure that you have maintained source list entries for your vendors that are relevant for MRP.
Now the MRP run will consider the planned delivery time in the info record and not the material master.
OR
As you have different vendors for a material, you must specify an average value. The same applies if you order the material from a fixed vendor that has varying delivery times.
Hope it will help you.

If i order the iPad today, how long is the delievery time ?
Hi,
I was wondering if I order the iPad online today, how long is the delivery time ? if it was to send to Wilmette, IL 60091 U.S.A.
_*I want to place an order of 2x iPads, Camera kit x 2, Standard iPad case x 2, but I need to recieve the package before September 30th, would that be possible ?*_
Thank you, please reply me as soon as possible so i can place my order ASAP.From what i know, if you ordered an ipad online through Apple and it is coming from overseas, you can't change the shipping. The only way you would know this is to call Apple and ask. I ordered mine on April 12 and still don't have it or any information, however...apple said mine is coming from PA and they did bump me up to 1 day shipping rather than the standard 2 day shipping. So it all depends where you ipad is coming from.
Hope this helps! -

Issue inMaintenace scheduling issue in Two plants with similar data set up
Hi PM Gurus
Scenario: A) We Have two maintenance Plants which have got Factory calendar assignment as per Table Data. We need to change Non Working days of factory Calenders (D1 and T2) for work centres working and do Maintenace scheduling
Issue A) Plant PL0B has got factory Calender T2 set up at work centre (WCT2) .We get Maintenace schedule Calls as per Calender set up ie No Maintenace Call (Planned call and Call date) on (Non Working Days). Here we change public holidays to working days and this throw schedule calls accordingly (thatu2019s Maintence Calls on working days only).
B) We have similar requirement to change public holidays for Calender D1 which is assigned to Work centre WCD1, then we must get maintenance calls for working days. But we find that for Plant PL0A, Maintenace Calls are generating even on non working days. Only difference between Plant PL0A and PL0B is for Work centre set up as per screen shots for Capacity data.
C) We have changed work centre data of WCD1 as per WCT2 ,but still PL0A is giving maintenance Calls on Non Working days (Not Controlled by Calender data of Work Centre )
D) Info: Scheduling indicator in Maintenace plans of both plants is TIME
Plant Factory Calender (plant Factory Calender
(Work Centre) Non Working Days Work Centre (PL0A)
PL0A U1 D1 3-Public holidays WCD1
PL0B T1 T2 Sat ,Sun and 10 Public holidays WCT2
Thanks
UpinderGreetings Upinder,
You should set the Scheduling indicator to "Time - factory calendar" and select a Factory Calendar if you want the Maintenance plan to be scheduled according to one of the calendars you set up.
The work centre capacity scheduling doesn't come into place here, yet - it'll allow for rescheduling once the orders are called. -
Date and Time Issue for Mult Org...
Hello,
How can I manage the date time, if my organizations have different plant and location?
I.e. The database server located in Pacific Time zone and the application may access from new plant German time zone.
Whenever the German business center enters any sales transaction it should take German current date and time instead of Pacific Time.
Pls advice me
Thanks,Raghu.KHi,
While defining a Location, you can mention the time zone for that location and also the inventory organisation to which this location belongs.
So, this location can be assigned to your organisations. You can access the time zone according to the location you select.

Can any body tell me where i can see that a plant is mapped with cost center
Hello,
Cost Centers are NOT assigned to Plants. (They are independent of plant).
Just for your information, plants are part of MM organization structure where as Cost centres are part of Controlling (CO-CCA).
Cost centers have a time frame where as plants no time frame.

hi
friends iam facing a proble when iam assigning with my own ccode, sales org, salesdistr, div and plant inthat time plant is not assigned with my sales org.distr to plant at that time iam taking 1000 plant plz tell the solutionSee friend,
i told you last time and again reiterate, please create your own plant and never just copy from existing cos this will have multi level assignment. You should know that most people always copy from existing 1000 Ccode and this generally leads to cross assignment of plants and divisons and distribution channels. Anyway to avoid further probelms just ignore the plants assigned in other sales orgs and proceed to find your own plant and div and dch. if the assignment is not showing a option of ur sales org, please go ahead and check the original comp code with the assignments, if its there, delete it there and then come back to your company code and try assigning it again to the corresponding div and plants
please reward if problem is solved.
Thanks

IDOC: Material master (Extend Plants)
I used LSMW IDOC option to migrate material master data (MATMAS):
- Basic views
- Description
- Costing
- Plant Stock
I want to extend the plant view (Plant Stock). What change do I do to original LSMW to extend plant?
How do I specify that I am extending?
Is it that function code at the beginning of IDOC?You can do this by writing a program:

Split Sales Order Line - by Delivering Plant ?
Hi there,
Does anyone know (config or ABAP) how to split a sales order line for this scenario:
1 Sales Org - SOrgA
3 Plants (PlantA, PLantB & PlantC)
Can fulfill SOrgA sales orders from all 3 plants
No WM
User enters MatA Qty 10 on sales order line item 1.
MatA has qty 5 in plantA and qty5 in PlantB.
System gives Qty 5 to line item 1, reduces qty requested to 5.
Stytem creates new sales order line & gives Qty 5 to new line item 2.
I am essentially trying to fulfill the sales order from multiple plants but so far in R/3 I do not see any way to do this with config. Alternative is to do this manually but business requirement is to automate it.
Any ideas?
Has anyone done something similar with ABAP?
Thanks,
NiallThanks for your comments Ashutosh,
My strawman schema is currently:
Biz Hours:
Orders created.
Nightly:
[No (minimal) orders being entered so allocation should be a non-issue or very minimal].
Backorder rescheduler job runs
Bespoke job runs to split lines if can fulfill from multiple plants
- it may be FIFO based on a combination of dates such as customer delivery date and delivering plant lead time (will be bespoke)
Delivery Due List runs
Currently our sales order lines have delivering plant (e.g. from customer master, CMIR or material). Against this plant ATP is run, even though the material may also be in another plant. The business issue is that sometimes, for some customers, we want to fulfill the order from a different plant or combination of different plants.
This is not for every order thankfully!

One common plant to mfg and depot activity
Hi,
We have one plant which is currecntly configured from the mfg. point of view we are already doing mfg activity in this plant now we want to open new plant for the depot activity but as there is also one setting at series group level insted of new plant this can be done under one plant by creating two different series group, so is there any link to use that fucntionality, our requireemment is some of the material is common in both mfg. and depot plant some time we want to sale the materil thorugh ,fg or some time through depot so if we have purchase materil in mfg. plant thta need to be sale thorugh depot palnt for this first we need to do STO as the excie entry need to eb pass from RG23A part2 to RD23D so what is the best option or best practice for thsi by using two different seris group by keeping the plant common or by creating two different plant for both activity.
regards,
zafarHI,
this would require separate plants being created. One Excise group can be shared between two plants. But if ECC no is different then you need to create two plants.

Scheduling Lead Times.....
Plant A gets components from 2 plants(Plant B and Plant C) u2013 I am not sure it is set up correctly to give the component plants enough time to produce and ship the components to get to Plant A on the promise date.
Example material - XYZ
Plant B put 17 days in In-House production in MRP 1 view. Plant A has values of 1 day in house production, 3 days GR processing time and 4 days planned delivery time.
I would like gurus to help me understand how these values work and if any changes are needed.
Thanks in advance
Thanks
BaluWell, it depends what's in-house production time or lead time for XYZ of plant A?

MRP Shipment day instead requirement day
Good morning, we are implementing MRP and having problems with components since we have scheduling agreements for suppliers and already input the value of 5 days in planned delivery time in MRP2. But at the time or running MRP, the system is not considering this value for requirement of material. Do you know if Iu2019m missing something in order to let suppliers know about the shipment day instead of the requirement day at plant? Thanks!
Dear ,
Kindly compare both Info Record Set up and Material Master in terms of planned delivery time :
1.You maintain the non-vendor-specific planned delivery time in the material master (view "MRP 2"). You enter a vendor-specific planned delivery time in the purchasing info record or in the outline agreement. It is used in the planning run, if the indicator "Scheduling info record/agreement" in Customizing is maintained as a plant parameter (OPPQ) or MRP group parameter in 'external procurement' and if, in the area of automatic source determination, an individual vendor can be assigned.
If you set this indicator, the system checks whether a planned delivery time is entered in the purchasing info record or in the outline agreement. This planned delivery time is then used to calculate the delivery date and the release date.
2.In case of info record if you maintain the shed info record/agree in the configuration in plant parameters -OPPQ under the tab external procurement, then system will pick the time from Info Record Frist .Or elese it will take the Planned Delievery Time from Material Master .

Open PO details in the back date
Hi,
We had shorclosed/deleted/changed the quantities of some line items of
open POs (Material PO & Service PO) and migrated those line items into
new POs in new plants some time back. Now we need to take a report of
the old PO line items at that time ie., before changes. The activity was done
over a period of 3 weeks. pls provide any solution to get the details.
Rgds,
Vijayif PO number is changed you can get the rerport from ME2N, it mean eventhourgh you created new PO (new PO number created) then you can get old PO.
If you changed the existing PO it is not possible to get old PO before changes. -
Delivery date in PO schedule lines not equal to delivery date in PO confirm
Hello expert.,
I use PO with account assignment E for sales order purchasing coming from a TAB sales order category. In the PO I have schedule lines define according to the lead time from the materila masetr of the info records. The schedule lines in the PO update automatically the schedule lnes in the sales order and therefore the planning on the sales and delivery side is done according to the delivery date indiacte in the schedule lines of the PO (table EKET).
I use also inbound deliveries to indicate when the goods arrive. At that time, I can realize that the lead time / the quantity delivered by the vendor does not correspond to what was palnned in the schedule lines of the PO. When I save the inbound delivery, the confirmation is indicated in the PO in the PO confirmation tab with the delivery date equal to today (table EKES).
The issue I have is that the schedule lines of the PO is not in line with what is in the confirmation tab for both the quantity and the date. Therefore, even though I have goods arrived that could be delivered to the final customer earlier, the system doesn't recognize it because the schedule lines in the PO remain with the original planned date and quantity and as a consequence also in the sales order schedule line.
Does anybody can give me a way, a trick or a mechanism to align the delivery date and the qauntity in the PO between the schedules lines tab and the confirmation tab?
Thanks a lot for your support.
ALJ
Edited by: Andre Louis Jadot on Nov 26, 2010 8:15 AMDear,
This is very intersting.
Delivery date is come in purchase order from plant delivery time (MRP2) in material master.
Exa:
If you enter plant delevery time as 10 days in MRP2 of material master.
So system calculate delivery date as under.
Plant delivery time : 10 days.
PO creation date : 08.05.08.
System consider delivery date 21.05.08
System add 3 days in your plant delivery time.
So 3+10 = 13, Delivery data:- 08.05.08 + 13 = 21.05.08.
Please check it in your quality client, If it is useful for you please revert back with points.
