I would like to know how a plant in r/3, is transfered to crm,what r settings that need to be made for plant maintanance in sap crm,

Hi Rama Rao,
In most of the cases plants will not get replicated into CRM.
Please follow the below steps:
1. Do the following customizing : Std Assignment BP Role for Plant --> BP Role Category > IMG > Cross Application Components > SAP Business Partner > Business Partner > Basic Settings > BP Roles > Define BP Roles > Select and open BBP003 (plant) > Check the box - Std Assignment BP Role --> BP Role Category)
2. Delete all existing BPs for previously created plants (otherwise you end up duplicating the same plants)
3. Download the plants adapter object once again
4. Verify the replicated plants in the following ares:
- Verify whether the BPs are created for each plant
- Check the plant table -- CRMM_LOCMAP
- Verify the Plant BP assignment with the customizing : Assign Location in CRM Enterprise to Plant in R/3 --> IMG > CRM --> Basic Functions --> Availability Check --> Availability Check Using SAP R/3 --> Assign Location in CRM Enterprise to Plant in SAP R/3.
This is a shure shot solution and do not forget to award the points.

Hi all,
Can anybody tell me , wethere there is any module in oracle applications for maintainence of machinery of a particular plant(like the one in SAP) .
It should include general maintainence, routine maintainence, maintainnence plans etc.,

There are total 8-9 main process for plant which you can map for in SAP Pm Module. The process are as follows.
1. Managing Plant Maintenance Organization - This is one time activity & have been completed at the time of implementation of PM Module.
2. Structuring Of technical System of your companey :- This includes to building the structure of your plants(Factory) in SAP with the help of Master data like Equipments, Functional location, BOMs, Serial Numbers, Materials, Installed base.
3. Preventive Maintenance Process: - With this you can Plan all your maintenance activities in your plans.
4. Breakdown Maintenance Process: Using this process you can manage the coming breakdowns in your factories.
5. Corrective Maintenance Process : Using this you can manage all your Planned / unplanned activities in your factories.
6. Spares Parts Management & Inventory control process: - Procurement Spares can be managed using this process
7. Refurbishment of Spares parts : Using this process you can manage Reparing of spares internally as well as Externally.
8. Test Equipment Management : Using this you can manage the calibration process for your Equipments which requires calibration.
9. Project in Plant Maintenance : You can manage the New Development project using this process.

Asset a/cing intergration with plant maintainence

How can we integrate Asset accounting module with Plant maintainenceHi
For the purpose of integration first u need to assign an equipment category or object type to an asset class,Then you need to specify how dependent object has to created.there are two options
immediately once the original object is created
With work flow event
Setting required from AA side
You can choose one of the following setting for the creation of master data under Edit asset master data record
Path
IMG-AA-Master data-Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records-Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data and Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment
No synchronization
Direct synchronization after saving
Saving triggers a work flow
Direct synchronization plus work flow

One generic question.
When we maintain the Equipment Masters from IE01.
We Define the Work center, Plant, Location.
Now in the Functional Masters in the Structure:
the equipment will be automatically populated.
Please suggest that whether we have to manually assign the Equipment to the functional Location

You have to install the equipment into Functional Location manually
Like
After creating a equipment - go to structure tab. Where you wil find install struture - Install the Functional Location there.
In the equipment create / Change Window
Go to Structure in the tool bar - Select Change or install Funcational Location
In Spro
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Technical Objects - Equipment - Equipment Usage Period - Define Installation at Functional Location
Define which equipment category should be accepted to install functional location

SAP PLANT MAINTAINENCE : PARTS
Hi all,
I need to know if repairable parts are listed differently than the non repairable ones.
Are there usually seperate material codes for items that can be repaired versus unrepairable ones?
We are trying to identify items that are noted to be repaired instead of being replaced.
How can we do that?

If your finance department will not allow you to use split valuation you can use Batches as an alternative:
Batch - New
Batch - Refurbished
Batch - faulty
In practice an equipment is the best practice as you can have the intallation history, you can also manage them as materials without an equipment.
I would suggest that you take care in the material master with the Max Min and Reorder quantities if this is managed well then only when items are scraped will the system try to reorder a new item.

How to create an outbound idoc for the maintainence order IW31 ? i have learnt we can use IORD tcode to create idoc for the maintainence order but i am not able to create idocs successfully with IORD? if anyone has used this tcode for creating idocs plz help me ? or is there any other way to create idocs for plant maintainence order?

External Service Produrement Issue
Dear SAP MM Experts!
I have a Issue : There are two services to be procured externally.
1. Preventive Maintainence Serivces
2. Annual Maintainence Services.
The Costs of these services should hit two different accounts in the Offsetting entry: GBB
GR - for Services.
Now in the OBYC :
We have the Entry for 1. Preventive maintainence Services
VALUATION GENERAL MODIFICATION VALUATION CLASS DEBIT CREDIT
0002 VBR 3200 44201600 44201600
I have defined the valuation class in the service master AC03 : 3200
Now My requirement is for Annual Maintainence Service How will I maintain seperate G/L Account
By Different valuation class or ....General Mod.....?
any suggession?
2) Also In External Service Procurement there is GR ?
As in my system there is GR with 101 movement type generated as per service there is no good Movement ?

My scenerio is such that from PM( Plant maintainence order ) Purchasing Requisition is generated and then
After which the PO is generated and service entry sheet is generated ML81.
Service entry sheet the accounting document created in such a way that:
Repair and Miantainence G/L Debit
GR/IR - Services Credit
And there is 101 movement type for the service.
Then in the MIRO
Vendor: Debit
GR/IR : Credit
What am I missing if there should not be any goods movement in services.
How to rectify the process.

Hi All,
We are facing problem in register updation for refurbishment process (through plant maintainence). During the process thay will take the material in stock with valuation type C2-Repair & issue C2 if got repaired and use C3-Scrap if material scraped. During this process mvt types 261,262,101 takes place and registers updates accordingly. So my querry is to avoid updation of registers during this process since it is internal process and it should not affect the same. Please suggest and also let me know any user exits are there for the same.

it is off rounding the values. i want the accurate value. what you want me to do? i tryed a lot. please guide me.

Please use 'STRING' data type instead of the current one.

Diplay data in function module

I am extracting data for PLANT MAINTAINENCE application, it is in master data. Data contains in 8 tables .and display 12 fields in the report and i have to extract data in BW side.
So i am using function module to extract the data from R/3 to
BW side, I am not using appropriate function module.
Here how to link all the tables. Here we are using EQUNR key,based on this one we are diplaying the data.

I'm doing one plant maintainence report in that already i used logocal data base selection-scrren ( LDB : - QMI )
but as per my requirement i want add two selection-scrren blocks of ldb program AFI in to my report ,
problem is already i written code using that ldb code of AFI but in that code i used screenfields like (parameters: zid_ofn like rihea-id_ofn ) .now i want to write code purely using transparent table fields .
how can i find transparent table fields for id_ofn etc.

ABAP Dictionary -> Fields -> Table Fields. double click on Table Fields.
you will get screen and enter the field name and search it. You will get list of Tables that used your field.
