Plant Maintenance and ECS SRM
I've been asked to investigate the feasibility and steps involved in integrating Plant Maintenance to SRM.
I've looked at the standrard documentation and it appears that this is pretty straightforward.
Can anyone give me any pointers on the following:
1) What BAPIs etc are used to transfer the PReq from the backend to SRM.
2)What are the require configuration settings ?
3)Are there any attributes that need to be maintained within the org plan?

Hi,
In addition to Marcin answer, you can connect your catalog directly to PM in transaction IW31 and IW32.
There is also a scenario to connect PM with SRM without external requirement configuration.
This is the "old way" and "abandonned" by SAP: please see here :

In PDM/PLM latest version is PLM 7.0.
There are many new functionalities available in this version.
Earlier version can be accessed from SAP GUI, but the latest one can be accessed from Portal/NWBC.
DMS side many notes have to be applied as you will be instaling EHP4.0 as part of the upgrade.
ECM side some standard reports are missing in PLM 7.0, which were available in ECC6.0.

We are looking into implementing the Budtet Planneing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service (MCB). However vi lack som information regarding the complexicity in this solution.
Does anybody knowledget about the time and resources needed for implementing this?

Plant Maintenance and Service Notification
WOuld like to ask where in SPRO to correct error in notification "Functional location field must be filled up". This applies to all notification types created by when I checked on SET FIELD FOR NOTIFICATIONS >Field Selection Reference Objects PM Notification. the selected notif type is not included on the influencing list. Please help how to correct this kind of error.

Catalog Interface (OCI) - Customizing for Plant Maintenance order ERP2005
Hello Experts,
we want to use the integration between SRM and ERP2005. In the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5d/0eba5fa0084247acbb0c04cede18e8/frameset.htm">sap documentation</a>sap documentation I found the following:
'In the Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service or in the Customizing for Project Systems, you entered the required data about the catalog that you want to connect to the SAP R/3 system. You can find the corresponding IMG activities under Interface for Procurement Using External Catalogs (OCI).'
However I can`t find this IMG activities in our ERP2005 system.
What`s wrong?

Unfortunaetly I haven`t a idee how does this work. (Our sap basis did this.)
Through the assign from catalog to order type, I think it nessary to use the pm-img-activities...

Plant Maintenance notification
Hi all,
In notification (PM) the I-button (blue-white) in the reference object screen area is not there for a one of the notification type. User wants this button is to be there. I checked configuration settings , screen category object for this notification type is 0100 (Functional locationequipmentassembly). Please anyone guide me in getting this button in notification. I am new to PM module.Hi,
For that particular notification type you may not have assigned a object information key.
This can be done in customizing.

Here i have an issue reg the configuration screens in PM
In SAP-SPRO---Plant maintenance and Costumer Services, I am not able to find the Screens required for configuration for FLEET MANAGEMENT i e.,
1) Set List Processing for Fleet management objects.
2) Set reference object screen for Vehicles.
3) Consumption Relevant Counter reading Update.
These are mandatory for capturing the cost of the fuel into reports of Vehicle analysis report.
Please any one can Send me whether we need go for any Patches or to update any notes.
Present i am using ECC-6 EHP-5
Please reply back ,it is very urgent.

KumarI hope, for the below points there is no separate configuration.
1) Set List Processing for Fleet management objects.
2) Set reference object screen for Vehicles.
For 3) Consumption Relevant Counter reading Update.
IMG => PM & CS => Information systems for PM & CS => Configure Measurement document update
I hope, this is common for all the versions. Please check. -
License Validity in Plant Maintenance
Is it possible in SAP-Plant maintenance to have a Pop-up or notification to be genretaed in case of expiry of license.
The license may be of a piece of technical object or the business license to do business for a period of 1 year..
Please provide a striaght fit solution within Plant Maint module or a workflow...

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under--> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Basic Settings -->Warranties.
After Above Setting you have to maintain The Warranty Data for Technical Object (EQ Or FL) TC IE02 or IL02 such as
Begin Guarantee date & End Guarantee date

You can use this iView to display maintenance-related objects (such as equipment, functional locations, materials, measurement documents, and so on) in the Asset Viewer.
The Asset Viewer is a display tool that enables simple navigation through complex object relations. You can navigate flexibly within and between objects.
You can also use object navigator which is a reusable display tool that has been integrated into this iView.
You can specify which object types can be viewed in the structure view in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under> Maintenance Roles> Maintenance Worker --> Asset Viewer -->Specify Objects for Structure View.

Plant Maintenance followed by Flexible Real Estate
We are looking to implement both Plant Maintenance and Flexible Real Estate. We are hoping to first implement Plant Maintenance, and then follow it with Flexible Real Estate.
Is there any reason we should not follow this logic? Should we implement them both at the same time, or should flexible real estate get implemented before plant maintenance? Will we be creating a lot more work by implementing them separately?
Reasons why or why not would be very helpful.

Using SmartForm for Plant Maintenance service order processing
Greetings everyone,
I am working in R/3 4.6C and I have a SmartForm that I would like to configure as a shop paper in plant maintenance and print along with various types of work orders. However, the config in this area only allows configuration of SAPscript forms with print programs and form routines.
Does anyone know if there is a way to configure or convert a SmartForm so that I can print it as a PM shop paper?
I will definitely reward helpful answers/solutions.

So just to be sure, there is no way I can configure this form to work with the shop paper config, correct? If I want something to automatically print with different work order types, I guess I have no choice but to use a SAPscript form with a print program? I am just not clear on what you mean when you talk about the Z t-code, since I never want to execute this form directly, but always automatically in work order printing from IW32 or similar transactions.

you have option to ,ake default item category against the materila type and plant.
follow the path to make default values
