*Plant Maintenance: Urgent: User status ECUS active.*

Dear Gurus,
One of our customer wanted serial number obligatory in OBD in the repair process.So we made it mandatory in serial number profile.Afterwards he posted some documents.But now he is not able to process those repair orders.He is trying to create OBD and after picking when he tries to post goods issue, system is giving the error as ECUS status is active.And serial number so and so can not be used here.
So again we changed serial number profile from mandatory to optional while doing PGI. still the system is giving the same error.We checked serial number against that material in IQ02. the status is Repaired. So we are not able to understand from where system is picking ecus status. Because the status of the serial number is showing repr not ecus. I am not able to understand where the system is picking ecus status from.
So now his all repair OBD transactions got stucked because of this.Please suggest a solution on highest priority.
He follows the process as given below.
repair order in VA01.
do inbound delivery where he has to put serial number which is mandatory here.
PGR.
after repair,
OBD
PGI.

i think once you have delivered the material ,it will create the equipment master record record stating the status as installed at customer site,
the status you have said i think is user status ,if so kindly change the user status and proceed with the above said procedure
revert back with any further queries

    I am trying to do pgi from va02 and the system is throwing an error saying ' user status ecus is active for equip.' but in iq02 when we check the ecus status is not active. infact when we change the user status to anything the error thrown is still the same.   • USER STATUS at Activity Level

    I do have user status defined for Activity and it doesn't show up when i set the status. All i see is SYSTEM STATUS and not user status. To see user status i need to click the blue button (with I symbol) and then see it. Why is this happening like this?
    But at Network Header level & WBS level i see both USER STATUS & SYSTEM STATUS.
    Any info will be a great help

    I think WBS and Network are controlling objects in SAP. Activty is related to execution. This may be the reason why SAP has provide detailed ie user statuses at WBS and network level only.
    In my opinion you cant achieve this in standard SAP, you may have to for devlopment of customised screen. User exit CNEX0008 will help you.

  • Changing User Status by activity confirmation

    Hi Experts,
    In my project , User status is maintained for WBS.
    My client want to Change the User Status of all the WBS when one activity is confirmed  .
    lets get an example: In  project there are WBS A, B and C. In WBS A there are Activity number 1 and 2.
    The WBS has user status Z and X. When Activity 1 is confirmed , all the user status of WBS will be Z.
    When the acvity 2 is confirmed , all the user status of WBS will be X.
    Please help how to do this. is there any enhancement or BAPI.

    You have to do development for this. Use BADI "Workbreakdown Update" to change the user status on WBS, whcih can be called during WBS save. The development needs to pick the correct user status from Activities. Status are stored in table JEST.

    Hi all,
    Users listed in the LDAP as deleted or inactive are still listed in EP
    User Management as valid active users.
    1) is there any process or OSS note which can help us to get users
    inactive in portal user management to the corresponding LDAP inactive
    users?
    2) is there any chance that any inactive or deleted entries in LDAP
    should not be searchable from User admin Portal search?
    Any solution for the above problem?

    Hello there,
    i have the same problem: We have several domains that sometimes contain users with the same user-id. This happens, if a user is "moved" from one domain to another: A new user with the same user-id is created in the new domain and the user-status of the user in the old domain is set to "inactive".
    But SAP NetWeaver Portal (7.0 EHP 1) ignores this user-status flag and thus login (with SPNego / Integrated Windows Authentication, which does not send the domain of an identified user to the portal) fails.
    Is there a possibility to get the portal to "ignore" LDAP users (meaning no longer list them in the UME) that have their user-status flag set to "inactive"?

    Sorry, I mixed the documents - my hint with AUFK is wrong, that belongs to production orders.
    Now I searched in deliveries - can't find anything, too. I neither find this flag, nor have I seen a status linked to jest, nor text search in SAPMV50A for status_text_edit found anything.
    Are you sure, that you are still in VL02N? Maybe you left the core transaction, please describe <i>in detail</i> how you get to this status after entering VL02N.

    It may not work with print programs, but try putting the following code in your ABAP program:
    * get notification statuses
    data: lt_jest      type standard table of jest.
        call function 'STATUS_READ_MULTI'
          exporting 
            all_in_buffer  = 'X'
          importing
            status         = lt_jest.
    If that fails, then try this:
    data: lt_jsto_pre type table of jsto_pre with header line.
    data: lt_jest      type standard table of jest.
      call function 'STATUS_READ_MULTI'

  • Item user status at plant level

    Hi All
    I have configured certain User Status which are assigned to Item category. Item category is used in all the plants but user status is applicable for only few plants. So User status will also appear in those plants where it is not applicable.
    In Cost object Sales orders I have the option of selecting the User status manually in Status tab by clicking in 'Object Status' button. But in the items which are not cost object 'Object Status' button does not appear. So I have to assign to Item category in Customizing which will then always be defaulted even though it is not required in ceratin plants.

    I dont think it is possible .
    A suggestion not sure if it works .
    Assign user status profile operation wise and then have some development to check the operation status and
    then update production order status with same user status you mentioned in operation.
    FM: STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN will help you to change the user status of order.

  • How can I analyse user statuses a maintenance order had in the past?

    I want to make an analysis from maintenance orders backlog (orders over required end date). I use IW39 and analyse the user status to define the status of the order in the proces......
    In this way, however, I am only able to make an analysis of the data in SAP at this moment, so not in history. Is there a way to analyse the status of maintenance orders user status in the past (or the change of user statuses in the past)?

    Thanks for your answers;
    I learned that the data for change status and related time can be found in the table JCDS (and for a single order via I near the order status); So if I can get the data from JCDS table I can learn the status of an order in history. By using (incidental analysis) excel I can look if an order is over its required end date in history to analyse the backlog.

  • MRS and User Status

    Hi Gurus
    We are using MRS 8.00.
    We decided to activate the usage of user status with MRS. Now it seems that we are missing some configuration. There are three functionality in planning board,  one of them is not working which is  - on the demand item (PM Order Operation) "Set Status Dispatched". Now the question here is how MRS will understand what is meant to be by the status DISPATCHED> There was an abstract status in the initial configuration of MRS and we used that one. We used the configuration step "Assign Status for Demands (ERP)" and we have assigned the Abstract Status DISPATCHED  to an order type/plant and a user status. It seems that we are missing some more configuration steps.

    We had a similar requirement and this is what we did :
    1) Set up a task as a reciever for the WORKORDER SAVE event.
    2) In this task called a method of a business object.
    3) In the method called STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN to change the user status.

  • User status linking between wbs and network

    Dear All,
    I got one requirement in which i am using user status at wbs level to block all the transactions. Now the  problem which i am getting is that even though i am maintaining the user status at wbs level, users are able to post the data on network activities. If i am maintaining the user status at activity level than i am able to stop the same.
    Kindly suggest cant we maintain user status at wbs level and stop fi posting at activity level. Is there any way to achieve this.

  • How to change user status

    Hi
    I want to change the user status from  X - > Y - > Z  - > X based on config... so in doing that my system status would be set to released.
    I am doing the updation each time from X--> Y and calling  crm_order_maintain, crm_order_save, commit work and save , wait up to 20 seconds, crm_order_initialize.
    Without doing wait up to 20 seconds, i am getting an error "Order cannot be changed" when i am updating the user status from Y->Z next time for same guid object ( contract item ).
    My questions are
    1. How do we identify whether we can change contract, for next user status using any FM.  It says contract cannot be changed as "Transferring not completed". I used FM "CRM_ORDER_CHECK_CHANGE_ALLOWED" , but it always gives message "in transferring in middleware". Is there any other way to avoid wait up to 20 seconds , instead determine whether the contract can be changeable.
    2. Can we update X>Y>Z--->X in single crm_order_maintain.. can system track this changes that contract item has gone through various user status. When i checked it only keeps Y status.  I am passing all user status as active. Can we pass in any other manner?..
    3. When i call order initialize after each update of status , the lock is getting released and for next status chnage when i call order maintain, if some other user opens same contract in that time... lock error comes..  when i pass Keep lock in order initialize it is not working.. does that work and why does its not working....

    Dont pass all the statuses at once to CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN,
    For eg :
    To get to status Z  from X->Y->Z , you can follow below procedure
    take staus - X
    fill it_status and it_inputfields with a record each corresponding to status X.
    Call CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
    take staus - Y
    fill it_status and it_inputfields with a record each corresponding to status Y.
    Call CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
    take staus - Z
    fill it_status and it_inputfields with a record each corresponding to status Z.
    Call CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
    After reching Z , call ORDER_SAVE and COMMIT.
    Please use a internal table for all your status and place the order_maintain in loop , so that each status gets maintained while you navigate to next status.

    A user status is activated by the user and can be created as an addition to the existing system status. You can define and
    activate any number of user statuses. To define a user status, you need to have created a status profile, which is created per order type in Customizing
