Plant section mandatory in particular notification type

Hi,
how can i make plant section in location tab in notification for particular notification type . I tried in oial in influencing for notification type but could not find this ?

PM and CS->Maintenance and service processing->maintenance and service notification->Notification Creation->Notification types->set field selection for notifications
You have to use notificaton type as influencing field.
Transaction code for notification is OIAL and please ensure the notification has the location tab added.
Use function module SAPMILA0 (PM: Subscreen 'Location and Account') for influencing field.

Follw this:
IMG>Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Maintenance and Service Processing-->Maintenance and Service Orders
>Define Field Selection for Order Header Data (PM)>Field Selection for Location/Account Assignment Data (Double click on this)
Here use push button 'Influencing'
Select Notification type (double click on it)
Put value M1 and press Enter
and in the below list you will find your field 'Plant section'.
Mark it as Required.

Equipment as Mandatory in Maintenance Notification

Hi all,
Is there any way through which we can make Equipment as Mandatory for a particular notification type. I have checked in config and from there you can make equipment mandatory for all notification types but not for any particular one.

in standard you cannot make it mandatory for particular notification type,you can use for exit QQMA0014 and ask the abaper to put logic for notification type

Sales Order link to Q3 Notification Type

Hello,
I am trying to configure the reference documents section of a Q3 notification type. It won't let me display the Sales Order fields on the notification even though the config settings allow it. We have a Q1 notification type with the same config settings and Sales Order is being displayed. Has SAP hard coded which fields can be displayed by notification type?

Hi Justin,
This sales order filed is available in Q3 notification check in Processing tab.
If this field is hidden then check below settings in u r system
Run QCC0 ---> Quality Notifications ---> Notification Type ---> Define screens templates
By selecting your Q3 notification check whether sales order field hidden
Field Selection: General Screens
Field Selection: Initial Screens
Field Selection: Reference Object Screens
Field Selection: Partner Screens

Added custom field to VA01 should be mandatory for a particular order type

Hi experts,
I have created a custom field in Additional Tab B (Screen 8459) in VA01 at the item level. Now that field should be mandatory for a particular order type. If a sales order is created with that order type then the user cannot save the sales order without putting any value to the custom field. Please can anyone suggest me how to do that?

Here is the path to maintain Notification Types.
Use Tcode SPRO
Plant Maintenance & Customer Service -> Maintenance & Service Processing -> Maintenance & Service Notifications -> Notification Creation -> Notification Types -> Define Notification Types
Then,Click "New Entries" button. Enter the Notification which you need & Save.

Make material as a mandatory field for a particular document type in PR

Hi,
Currently we are in SAP 4.6c version. There is a business requirement for making material as a mandatory field for a particular document type of purchase requisition as they don't want the user to raise non material purchase requisition using that document type. The field for material is currently not available in the configuration for Define Screen Layout at Document Level for purchase requisition.
So could you kindly let me know the possible options to prevent user from raising a non material purchase requisition using that document type. If not could you kindly suggest me the user exits available at the time of saving purchase requisition which i could use so that we can write a code to check if the material number is entered or not. If not entered prevent the user from saving the purchase requisitions.
Also it would be helpful if you could let me know how the fields for enjoy transaction (like material,document type) can be made available for selection in the configuration for Defile Screen Layout at Document Level for purchase requisition.
All you help in the solving the above problem is highly appreciated.

Hi,
Check below method works out for you, if you do not want to proceed with any ABAP development.
Have a custom field selection key with Material Description field as "Mandatory" and "Display" in Basic Data, Item selection group.
Assign this to your PR document type which need material as mandatory. With this you are making user to enter material indirectly as mandatory & user will not have an option of entering text which avoids indirect / service procurement.
"Material Group" option won't help as User can have default settings with some value and it updates even in display mode of field.

It is already made mandatory in account assignment categories but My requirment is that it should be mandatory for only one particular document type . In the account assignment categories , there is no where we can specify the document type . It is only at account assignment category level but not at document type level .

QM Notification Type Q1

Dear Masters,
We have received acomplaint from customer for a single material. But nature of the complaint is same for several batches for same material. But in notification type Q1, I can enter only one batch number at a time. Can I make the provision by which I can enter more than one batch number under one notification ?

Hi Ram,
There is no setting as far as the standard SAP is concerned. Because the reference objects like Revision level, Plant and batch are unique for the particular material to which you are creating the Notification. Also, not advisable to go for such development. If its really mandatory to the business reqmt, then you need to go for the development. First try to check if any user exits are available for it.

The Fields are under below tabs

I have not checked in SAP, butif the hiding of the fields in not possible through SPRO, then an easy way to hide fields is to use GUixT, which comes with std. SAP.

How to exclude stock of a particular storage type from collective availability check in MDVP.

you can set the storage location as 'Storage location stock excluded from MRP' value '1' in the field
Sloc MRP indicator , in MRP view $ when you enter a storage location accessing the material master.
Thsi is the only way to exclude the storage location, you have to do it per each material and also it is excluded from the MRP.
With this option the stock is not considered in ATP.
IF you need the storage location in the MRP, then you should consider the use of MRP Areas.
With the MRP Areas you define which plants/storage locations belong to each MRP area and the ATP is performed for eah area with the stocks that exist in each of them.

firstly check on whta keys you have maintained the condition records
if itis with various keys like vendor plant material etc , then check is it satisfying all???
now for your purpose just create access sequesnce with VENDOR (plant can be included ),
now delete all old records created for the fright condition
now assign this vendor in the Fright condition , also you can mark this condition as cant process manually if you dont want user to make any change to thsi condition )
create new record only specifying vendor as key point
now create Po and check

PO from PR only for a particular document type

Dear Gurus
I want purchase orders should be raised with reference to purchase requisitions only. System should allow to make purchase orders with reference to purchase requisitions only for a particular document type only.
I have configured in OMET and assigend this in SU3, now the system is not allowing to create PO for all document types, but I want to restrict this for a particular document type only
Is there any configu change required?

You can make it in MM - purchasing -> purchase orders -> define document types -> check the document type -> click on link purchase requisitions.
And in define screen layout at document level - make PR mandatory for your purchase order document type (field reference).

QM01 USer Exit to fill Coordinator Partner field for notification type Q3

am working on Notification creation Transaction QM01. The requirement is,
The user selects Notification type "Customer Complaint" & Provides Sales Order Number & Item number.
In the Reference Objects Tab, User fills Coding , Description , Subject fields.
Now when the user clicks on Save, I should fill the Coordinator field(To see this field the navigation is, in the menu Goto-> partners ) automatically based on some input criteria.
So when I Click on Save button before any user exit/BAdi gets called, I am getting the erorr message "Enter the mandatory partner".
I have cheked a few user exits & none of them gets called after save & before the error popup.
please give idea about implicit enhacnement ?
Could you please let me know how to fill Coordinator field automatically?

The field for damage code in notification screen has been made mandatory as part of the quality department requirement. It is required for only QM notifications but the above settings affect all PM notifications also.How to effect these changes only for QM notifications.

Hi,
When u go to the field selection for Maintenance notifications, there is "influencing" button. click on it. You'll have a list of Influencing field. double click on Notification type. In contents choose ur QM Notification type and make the required field "Required". Save it. Test it.
