Plantronics backbeat go 2 pairing ios 8

Plantronics backbeat go 2 pairing ios 8 used work with ios7, but since I had updated to ios8 it's not working anymore.
Today I installed ios8.1 and, again, didn't work.
What can I do?

HI!
I just synced my earbuds to my macbook pro.  Try:
1) Setting
2) Bluetooth Settings (Clicked "on" and "discoverable").  I also selected for the bluetooth setting to show Bluetooth in menu bar.
Under settings go to "Sound" and "output".  My earbuds are in there twice but one does not work and the other has a "stereo" option. That does work.
Now, iTunes automatically starts and I can hear my music on my earbuds.  I think itunes will override whatever you are trying to listen to.  The earbuds also worked with my online lectures for school.  So far the earbuds do not work for YouTube.
Hope it helps.... good luck!

I have a back beat also and was having the same problem with my ipad. I found that if you hold down the call button and volume key it seems to reset the back beat to factory setting. Once you do that then hold down the call button by itself  until the blue red light flashes for pairing. It should then show show up in your Bluetooth devices. Hope this helps.

  • Plantronics voyager legend not pairing to iPhone 6

My iPhone 6 does not recognize my Plantronics Voyager Legend headset. It worked fine on my iPhone 5 with OS 8.02.  Any ideas how to connect the two?

    This worked for me:
To Pair Voyager Legend to a Different Phone or Re-Pair to the Same Phone:
Turn the headset on. Slide the power switch to the 'on' position showing green.
Using voice commands. Tap the Voice button on your Voyager Legend and say “Pair mode,” or  Press and hold the Call button on your Voyager Legend until you hear “Pairing”
Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth feature. While the Voyager Legends LEDs are flashing red/blue, activate Bluetooth on your phone and set it to search for new devices.
    • iPhone Settings > General > Bluetooth > On
    • Android™ Smartphones Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth: On > Scan for devicesNOTE: Menus may vary by device
Select Voyager Legend. Select “PLT_Legend" on your phone as a found device.  If your phone asks, enter four zeros (0000) for the passcode or simply accept the connection.
Complete pairing process. Once successfully paired, LEDs on the Voyager Legend will stop flashing red/blue and you will hear “pairing successful.” from the headset.NOTE To enable caller name announcement, allow access to your contacts if your phone prompts you.Your phone should now be paired with the Plantronics Voyager Legend headset and ready for use.

  • Plantronics M2500 headset to pair with updated 10.4.6?

I have a plantronics M2500 headset that I am trying to pair with my G4 ibook. I tried updating the bluetooth firmware; from the applications folder as suggested here, and it tells me I don't need to update that I already have the latest version. I have read everything I can here and none of it helps. I am runnning 10.4.6. When attempting to pair it says no headset found. Any Info will be appreciated!!!

Using a headset needs several steps even needed if you have the latest computer or Mac OS X release. Please make sure to follow them in order.
Download the Apple Bluetooth Firmware Updater
    Install it
Remove as much USB devices from your computer as possible
Launch it from Applications > Utilities > Bluetooth Updater
Apply it to your adapter (takes very long and disconnects your Bluetooth mouse).
Start the Apple Bluetooth Assistant and select Headset. Do not use anything else!
Make your headset Bluetooth visible. Look up the manual of your headset how to do that.
Now select the headset in System Preferences > Sound.
In most cases step 3 is missed. You have to start the already installed updater yourself (do not ask me why). Step 4 fails if you do not have an internal Apple Bluetooth module and your Bluetooth USB adapter is not supported by Apple. In this case, you have to go for a D-Link DBT-120 USB adapter.

  • Plantronics BackBeat 903+ and Pearl 3G 9105

    Hi to all.
After recently buying this excellent Bluetooth stereo headset and using it very successfully with several PC's and a Nokia 5800, I finally connected it (with no setup errors) to my 9105 (OS6, bundle 2532).
BTW, the headset is Bluetooth 2.1+EDR+eSCO compliant and the 9105 is v2.1 with A2DP.
Well, the working Bluetooth range between the 903+ and the 9105 is just awful! If I put the phone in my front trouser pocket I'll be having dropouts and if I put my hand over it it just dies. This behavior was noted with fully charged devices and also with the 9105 connected to the mains.
The headset is working perfectly, many other devices prove so. On the other hand, the only Bluetooth use I've been giving to the 9105 is file and contact sharing at close range, never anything fancy as a stereo headset.
    Could this issue be a:
    - Updatable incompatibility between the 9105 and the headset?
    - A sign that my 9105's Bluetooth antenna is off-spec?
    Thank you!

Thanks bongzki_02for your reply. I am not tech-savvy and I do not know what is A2DP, yet I found it on plantronics specs page (attached beneath).

  • Backbeat Go 2 pairing to two devices

It's currently paired to my ipad but I want it paired to my iphone and it won't find it? Suggestions?

The key to getting these to sync is to hold the square button down until the light on the earbud blinks red and blue. This takes much longer then one would expect. It took me what seemed like two minutes. Make sure your mac is in discoverable mode at the same time.

  • How to pair Windows 8.1 with a bluetooth low energy iOS Device?

    Hi,
I wrote an OSX GATT Client (central) Bluetooth application, which searchs for Bluetooth LE peripheral devices, and implemented the peripheral role on iOS. Everything works fine.
Now I'm trying to write the GATT Client as a win32 application, to search for iOS BLE peripheral devices. Following the Bluetooth Low Energy MSDN specifications   the devices have to be paired first. But I can't pair iOS BLE peripheral devices
(tested on iPad4) with my Windows 8.1 PC.
On my PC, I see the advertised service of my iOS Peripheral Device, but when I try to pair it fails with the message  "try again, and make sure your device is still discoverable". I downloaded Lightblue ( available on itunes) to let the iOS
Device act as different peripheral roles, still the pairing request fails.
Is there another way to interact with an iOS BLE device?
    Thanks a lot.

No success yet, but more information:
I am using TI's CC2540 Wireless Connectivity Development kit and their Packet Sniffer app to capture packet exchanges.
When pairing Windows to the TI CC2541 SensorTag I see:
SensorTag advertises with ADV_IND packets that have 9 byte PDU with payload 0x02 0x01 0x05 which I believe means Flags are "LE Limited Discoverable" and "BD/EDR (BT classic) not supported". TxAdd indicates it's using a public address.
    Windows sends a SCAN_REQ.
SensorTag responds with SCAN_RSP with PDU which says Complete name = "SensorTag", incomplete list of UUIDs is 0x0A 0x00, and slave connection interval range is 100ms to 1000ms.
Windows sends a CONNECT_REQ and they are off and running.
When pairing Windows to the iOS device running either LightBlue or my own app I see:
iOS advertises with ADV_IND packets with 24 byte PDU that says Flags = ("LE General Discoverable", dual-mode Controller, dual-mode Host), complete list of UUIDs is 0xEC 0x1C, and Complete name is "LightBlue". TxAdd indicates it's using
    a random address.
    Windows sends a SCAN_REQ.
iOS reponds with a SCAN_RSP with 6 byte PDU, where the first 6 bytes is always the (advertiser?) address, so in other words a 0 byte payload. That seems to make sense since the advertising packets have complete information.
Windows never sends the CONNECT_REQ, and pairing fails.
I am not aware of any problems with any of these packets, they look okay. But there are several differences between the two sequences and evidently Windows doesn't like the second sequence because it never sends the CONNECT_REQ.
Am I interpreting these packets correctly? Why doesn't Windows send the CONNECT_REQ packet to iOS?

  • Insignia stereo headset/Plantronics earpiece paired, but no sound thru them

I have an Insignia stereo headset and a Plantronics earpiece. I paired them, and they show paired on the 3G bluetooth screen. when I turn on bluetooth, then turn on either the earpiece or headset, the little apple busy icon just sits there spinning, and they never connect. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi,
    Please check in Playback devices
    Right click speaker icon
    Select Playback devices
Enable BT (the name should be similar to this: Pantronics BT Adapter)

  • Bluetooth Service Crashing when Pairing

I have been trying to pair my Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 earphones to my W530.  When I attempt to pair them, the headphones connect then immediately disconnect and will not connect again.
Checking the event log, it shows that the Bluetooth driver is crashing:
Faulting application name: btwdins.exe, version: 12.0.0.9580, time stamp: 0x533b5af1

I have already updated to the latest drivers and have tried removing/reinstalling but I get the same results.

#2 has been corrected. I did two things, and I did them at the same time, so I'm not sure which one did it. I installed the 10.4.7 update (using Software Update), and I deleted a file that I found on the Cingular 8125 which was left over after I uninstalled The Missing Sync on the device. I did a soft-reset, and paired the phone to the iBook via the iBook.
#1 is still an issue. It could be that my memory was bad and that this never worked (pairing the two from the phone, rather than from the iBook). In any case, if anyone has an 8125 and can test this, I'd appreciate it.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey nikkicarl,
Welcome to the forum! You can delete paired bluetooth devices when you go Menu > Ctrl panel > Connectivity > Bluetooth > Paired devices (one step right) > Select device > Options > Delete.
Reset also the other device as per instructed in the user guide of the device. Try pairing again after this.
In case you need the device bluetooth address to pair, type in *#2820#.
Hope you get the devices paired again!

  • Iphone pairing issue with Pantronics Explorer 360 headset

I've seen some posts with similar issues but I've been unable to find a solution.
I'm unable to pair Iphone with the Plantronics Explorer 360. I'm following Plantronics installation recommendations and have been trying to pair for 2 days. The Iphone just keeps searching and searching and can't seem to locate the headset. Any advice?

Hope you were able to solve your Bluetooth-Plantronics 360-iPhone 3G problem. I had the same problem, and like a dummy, I sat there watching my iPhone 3G search, and search, ...and search. Turned off the iPhone. Turned off the 360. Multiple times. Tried again. No luck. Finally, while both were on, with the Plantronics device blinking red and blue and the iPhone showing "Plantronics 3XX" "searching" "not paired" I reached over and touched the iPhone screen. The Plantronics line immediately turned blue, and the two paired. The iPhone was apparently waiting for me to select the Plantronics 360, which, of course, in retrospect, makes absolute sense. Maybe I was just tired. Or stupid. Anyway, good luck...I hope by now you've solved your problem.

  • Warning: Z3c doesn't seem to work with many common bluetooth devices. No fix immenent?

Hello. I just bought the Z3c as a replacement for the far-too-large Samsung Galaxy S5.
However, unlike the Samsung phone, the Sony fails to detect almost all bluetooth devices I've tried. In particular it fails to connect with my Jaybird Bluebuds X sports headphones, and a Bose speaker dock, both of which use an older bluetooth implementation.
I believe this is a Bluetooth stack issue with Sony's 4.0 implementation, though please correct me if i'm wrong,
Sony, any plans to fix this? Please address this for new or would-be buyers, many of whom have existing bluetooth devices and quite reasonably expect to use them when buying your smartphones.

You might have a defective device or it needs a software repair because all I use for my music needs is Bluetooth and I regularly use the following without any issue:
    - Plantronics BackBeat Go2 (headphones)
    - Altec Lansing InMotion SoundBlade (portable speakers)
    - Bose SoundDock 10 (home speakers)
    - Sony XSP-N1BT (car stereo)
    - Sony MEX-BT2500 (car stereo)
Additionally I have paired and tested the following devices:
    - Logitech K810 Bluetooth Keyboard
    - ASUS U47A (notebook)
    - a chinese Monopod (selfie stick with bluetooth)
And the Z3C has been flawless so far regarding bluetooth connections... not even one dropout. My older Acro S used to have an issue that prevents the BT from turning on, and the switch inside settings would become grayed out until a reboot.

  • Audio is choppy after upgrading to Yosemite

    Hello,
I've got a bluetooth Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 that sounds fine in iOS 8 and it played fine in Mavericks, but with Yosemite it's very choppy. It's seems my old MBP Early 2008 is not powerful enough to deal with OS and programs and pushing audio to the bluetooth channel. Is anyone experiencing a similar issue?
    Thanks

    same issue for me.
Using Sony SRS-BTX300 speakers over bluetooth. It used to work fine on Mavericks but since jumping to Yosemite It's getting choppy.
If I leave the computer alone with just playing the music, it seems to work fine but soon as I start doing anything, it kicks in.
