[plasma] Add icon of "command line" on desktop [Solved]

Hi,
for my work i use a ssh redirect port to make some applications (rdp, samba...) works and like this i can work outside like if i were inside the factory. So on kde4 i could put an icon with the command line, directly on the desktop.
I guess it is possible to do the same on kde5. For simple application on kde5 i drag on the screen but it is not possible to see inside it and to change the code that is use.
Is ther a way to do that on kde5 (plasma).
Thanks
Sincerely

Thanks but is there any way to only have icon on desktop and not a line on the menu ? I can see the 2 are connected.
Thanks

  • Problem in passing parameters in command line in desktop

    Hi,
I am trying to generate reports from command line (Oracle Discoverer 4i Version 4.1.42.04.00) but I am facing problems when I try to pass date or numeric parameters. It seems to work with strings
The following command is successful when i pass string as parameters
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb load_report_1 /batch /sheet 2 /parameter "P Date" "31-JUL-2006 Month End" /export xls c:\Temp\load_report_!
But in the following commands the command line execution stops when a worksheet with parameters is encountered. Once then parameter is entered the command line is executed successfully. In these problem cases it seems like the /parameter option is not being recognized. I have tried to pass parameters with double quotes, single quotes, without any quotes.
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb "load report 2" /sheet 3 /parameter "Select P Day" "20-JUN-2006" /batch /export xls c:\Temp\load_Report_2
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb "load report 3" /batch /sheet 1 /parameter "Enter Date Using Format YYYYMMDD" 20060703 /export xls c:\Temp\load_report_3
The only difference I can see is that I have not used double quotes in the command line that is successful in generating reports with parameters.
Any inputs will be appreciated - we are stuck in our project due to this issue. Many thanks.
    Warm regards
    Sucharita

    Hi
I work in the same team as the original poster.
We tried by changing NLS_DATE_FORMAT for the oracle_home.
Just to clarify our issue I am describing it one more time below -
Using Disc desktop (4.1.42) we are trying to run the reports using command line interface. Any report that takes character input for the parameters ,is running fine in the batch mode without prompting.
Any report that takes Date/Numeric input for the parameters, though in batch mode, is prompting for user to give the parameters. We tried with quotes as well.
    For Example -
    1. Character input : when we run this command supplying the input parameter values (which are characters), report runs fine without prompting for values.
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect rep/rep@orals /opendb Schd_Report /batch /sheet 2 /parameter "Process Date" "31-JUL-2006 Month End" /export xls c:\audit_report_5
    2. Date Input -
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect rep/rep@orals /opendb "DLS.Arrears Reports" /batch /sheet 1 /parameter "Please Enter Date Using Format YYYYMMDD" 20060703 /export xls c:\CA_arr
When we submit this we get a window prompting for the input values. So his is the issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Is it possible to add BOXI 3.1 license key from command line/SDK?
BOXI3.1 is installed in Solaris 10 with Oracle 10g as repository.
Can you also point me to any doc on various command line options/utilities in BOXI3.1

You can add license keys using the SDK.
Refer to CmcAppActions\WEB-INF\src\com\businessobjects\clientaction\cmc\licenses\LicenseKeyBean.java addKey to see how.

  • Add cookies via command line on MacOSX?

    Hello all,
Is there a simple way to add cookies to Firefox externally? As in is it possible to add cookies to Firefox via the command line on Mac OSX? Is there a way of running Javascript in Firefox via the command line, because if there is than I can use Javascript to add the cookie? I know you can open a website in Firefox via the command line, but I cant seem to run Javascript from the command line.
    Thanks!
    Adam

I don't think that you can do this via the command line.<br />
You would have to use an SQLite manager program to edit the cookies.sqlite database file.
You can also look at these extensions for some inspiration if you want to write your own extension:
    *Cookie Importer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/cookie-importer/
    *Export Cookies: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/export-cookies/

  • Hard Drive icon gone to lines on Desktop

In the last hour my Macintosh Hard Drive icon on the desktop has gone to a series of lines under the picture of the HD. I've restarted a few times just to see if it was a small glitch but its still the same. Does anyone know how to bring the wrods "macintosh hard drive" back to life ? I've only had this a few days and already getting problems.
    Paul.

You can go clean all of them, including font cache. Restart your computer about 3 or 4 times after it. The first reboot will take awhile, as the cache files are being rebuilt.

  • I need to have a URL that's loading from a batch file load into the side bar instead of the main window and I can't figure out what to add to the command line to make it do this.

I've seen similar questions, but no answers. Most commonly, I've seen people wanting to know how to code a link on their website to make it open in the sidebar. That would be handy too.
My own goal here is to make all the pages I need open for work open where I want them, all in one click.

I don't have a Recently Added playlist.  However, I discovered that the file I had named Eating Healthy was given the name You Can Enjoy Eating Healthy when it copied to iTunes.  I'm guessing iTunes pulled the full name of the piece from the internet.  Upshot--the mp3 did transfer to iTunes on all 3 tries, but I was looking in my alphabetized list under E, not Y, so I didn't see it there.  Thanks for your help.

  • Can Only Add Cert Template through Command Line (Can't use GUI)

I am hoping somebody can figure this issue out.
We have a Server 2008 Enterprise 32 Bit server running AD certificate Services.  Plan was to migrate the server to 2012 R2 (64 bit).  I went through the migration guide and everything was going great until I went to add a new template after the
fact.  After duplicating a template and changing the settings, I went to Cert Templates on the CA and did a:  new --> Certificate Template to Issue.  Sadly, the cert I created did not show up.  I deleted it, and did it again, still it
did not show up.  I figured something was wrong with the migration since this work previously, so I followed the guide and recovered everything back to my original 2008 Enterprise server.
Everything is back to where it was before except this problem of not being able to add new certs to issue through the GUI has stayed.  I can add them using command line:
certutil -setcatemplates +TemplateName  and they show up and are usable.
Why can't I do this through the GUI?

    Hi,
In additon to above suggestion, hope the below link be helpful also:

  • Need Help with command line arguments for a class method

    Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to programming in java.
I want to a write a class method that adds up its command line arguments which are numbers. For example, if the input was .... 5 2 3....then the output would be 10.
I have been told to use the Convert to convert a string to a double. I'm ok for writing the class method but I have no idea how to use Convert and why I need it in the method.
    Can anybody help please?

    Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to programming in java.
I want to a write a class method that adds up its
command line arguments which are numbers. For
example, if the input was .... 5 2 3....then the
output would be 10.Okay. So you would receive the numbers to add as the String[] argument to a main method. The steps are simple:
    1) declare a variable for the count
    2) for each String in the array:
2.1) extract the value as a double
2.2) add this to the count
    3) output the resulting count
I have been told to use the Convert to convert a
    string to a double.
I'm ok for writing the class
method but I have no idea how to use ConvertThere is no class Convert in the Java API.
    and why
I need it in the method. Do you understand you need to somehow convert each String to a double (step 2.1)? Since Convert is unknown to me, maybe you should just take a look at class Double. It can help you do step 2.1, the rest should be trivial enough.

Give it a go and feel free to post back with a specific problem you are having, accurately described if you please :-)

    Hi,
You just post ur output file in some folder , lets say /usr/sap/sapout/test/.and the shell script in this path /usr/sap/bin/convert.sh.
Inside the File access parameters put target directory and filename scehme and for shell script give processing parameters as File construction mode , File type and OS Command and use a space after the shell script name and the %F.
And for input can use it directly.
Check out these links. First one will help you in acheiving want you want.

  • CMS Command Line Enhancements

Recently we ran into a situation where our system database failed over (it's on a clustered environment) and our CMS went down.  In the command line it is set to RESTART but it appears that it was unable to do so.  We checked the event log and it appears that it tried to restart it self within the same minute as it failed and it only tried 1 or 2 times (can't really tell).  Is there anything we can add to the command line that will 1) attempt to restart the CMS more than once or 2) delay the attempts at restarting?

    Hi,
If you go to services.msc and look for the CMS service.
Go to the recovery tab. Here you can specify restart as an option for the  the service for three consecutive failures.
You can also specify the time it will attempt to restart the service.
You can test this by killing the CMS servicce form the task manager ( don not use CCM to stop). It works fine.
You have also mentioned it tired to restart itself, so there might be some recovery timing set in the services. But it didn't start as there was no DB running. You can increase the time when it will attempt to restart the service.

If it's showing the 'open' button then it is already downloaded and is on one of your homescreens somewhere. You've checked all your homescreens and app folders for it, and can you find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) ? There is a limit of 11 homescreens which you can access by swiping through them.
If you can't find it then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPhone has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
