Plastic film sticking out from glass iPhone 6

Hi,
I picked up an Iphone 6 this past weekend, and when I got home I realized that a VERY small piece of plastic film is sticking out from "under" the edge of the glass on the face. The film is only 1 or 2 millimeters in size.
Soft of thin film like sometimes "peels off" new electronics. I would grab it and pull - but just in case, if anyone else has encountered this issue.
Is it safe to pull it off?

Personally, if you're able to, I'd take it to the Apple Store and let them remove it. If they can't, they'll replace the phone.

I went to the retail store and they told me the mobile phone carrier should have just swapped it for me in store! So had to drive back to get it replaced at the original store.. o well at least they admitted that it was DOA and so they didnt ask too many qns as a result.
The genius at the store said that it is a leftover plastic inside the phone. It should have been removed during the manufacture but obviousky it was not.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

No video out from old iPhone/UniverslDock/CompositeCable

Ok - what's up with this - I've got iPhone (the original one) with the latest update (2.0) connected to my TV via Apple Universal Dock and the Apple Composite Cable. I get audio, no video. What's up with this?
I do remember a LOOooong time ago having this problem with the video iPod and there was something about having to either turn TV on after or before connecting cable - don't remember but I tried both turning TV on after cables are connected and connecting cables after TV is turned on and still no workie.

I also believe this is a bug, but I found a workaround. I after starting the video you press the wake-up button, the iPhone screen goes off, but the video keeps playing. Now if you pause using the remote, you can also resume using the remote without having to unlock the iPhone.
The weirdest thing about this is that after doing it once, you can unlock you iPhone and be able to pause and resume as expected. As soon as you change the video (that is, you turn the video out off) the iPhone forgets what he just learned and doesn't resume from the remote again.
So as a rule I always turn the iPhone screen off after starting a video. So I'm able to use my remote nicely. I hope this works for you too... and that it gets corrected in the next SW version!

My iPhone 4S could send video to my Audi MMI, and control it within the car It WAS PERFECT, I could get my GPS to show in the car without ANY hack! everything legal. iPhone 5 with Lightning Adapter just wont. Please help me with a work around.
This way, I can get Waze to show up on my car Screen. It would be great when Apple gets IOS in the car. But now, I only found that it is possible with a Lightning to VGA or HDMI cable and and Audi AMI cable with those imputs, but that way it is impossible to control the iPhone from the car/wheel.
Please help!! I was thinking of a Lightning to USB adapter, then a USB to 30 PIN and then a FEMALE-FEMALE 30 pint adapter...... I dont know! Hope apple with come up with something, is very dissaponting, Have every single iPhone from the first one and now Apple is letting us down.

The 2005 iMac iTunes says it's 10.6.1 and I don't think that model will upgrade to any newer version of the OS or of the iTunes. Once I upgrade the 2008 iMac to the 10.7, will I be able to access the 2005 iMac playlists through the home sharing on my 2008 iMac, and will the iPhone be able to download songs/playlists from the 2005 iMac via the home sharing?

You know when you first buy an Apple product like the iPhone 4 or 4S it has those two pieces of protective film covering it? I want to buy those exact ones I like the way they look, I dont want any other suggestions, I want those same exact ones. Those are not screen protectors. Furthermore, they cover the speaker and camera so you wouldn't be able to take a picture very well or hear anything, as they are not designed to be used as screen protectors.

How can I get video out from my iPhone 5?

With my iPhone 4, I was able to watch videos on the exercise machines at my gym that were equipped with 30-pin connectors. They piped the video to their display screens, and the audio to a jack for my earpods to plug into. Now that I have upgraded to an iPhone 5, there is no way to directly connect to these machines (they don't have the new "Lightning" connectors). So I bought a Lightning-to30-Pin adaptor at my Apple Store, and sadly learned that it doesn't pass through video, only audio. This is a huge step backwards for me. What is a reasonable solution for this?

Iphone logo REMOVED from AV cable...so no more Video out from the Iphone?

I noticed that yesterday on this item they had a Iphone logo, and today in its place is an Ipod touch logo. However, they still list this cable under the Iphone cables section....I'm getting mixed signals here.

While I try to make phone call it always pop up with call back. So what is the problem?

Your phone is in recovery mode. Did you plug it to the computer running itunes? What happend?

Using plastic film that came w/iphone as screen protector

I have been using the plastic film that was on the iphone screen in the box as a screen protector. Everything works the same with it on as off. I just cut the tab on the bottom off. The only problem is it covers the earhole and I just use my headphones or speaker on calls.

JS/PS CS3: identify single pixels sticking out

In a bitmap, is it possible to identify single pixels sticking out from a shape? Let's say I have this black shape in a black-and-white bitmap:

an 8 by 4 rectangle with one pixel sticking out from the bottom. Question is, can I find such pixels using a script (JS) and make it white?

My computer was completely destroyed, so I bought the new MacBook Air. But I used my old PC to sync everything with my iphone, info, calendar, notes, SMS, etc. How do I get everything out from the iPhone, so I can sync with iTunes without losing everything. Music completely disappeared from my iPhone 4S... Four Times!!!

I own an iPhone 4S. Since I've upgraded to iOS 8, the music player function has been buggy. I am also a subscriber of iTunes Match.
For the fourth time today, and in 3 months, ALL the music that I have downloaded from iTunes Match have completely disappeared from my iPhone. It's EXTREMELY frustrating to have to re-download my songs and albums again and again. Even that is an issue in itself. The downloads are buggy as well as the songs don't download well.
Does any know how I can avoid my songs from being auto-wiped out from my iPhone please? And what is wrong???
