Play audio with a slide

I am new to Keynote but prefer it over p/Point. However, I have imported a playlist from iTunes into a slide for background music before a presentation starts. Five music files in the playlist and they all play at once. I have tried importing them one by one, have tried with teh iTunes checkbox checked and clear but get the same result.
Clearly I'm missing something here but I can't figure out exactly what!!
If anyone can come up with a solution or explanation, I would be very grateful.

Yeah, there's a way. If you have five music, space out each music icons. Then open the Inspector. Choose the Build tab. Select the first song that you wanted to play -- by selecting its icon. Click the Effect pop-up. And choose start audio. There is an "Order" pop-up near the "Effect" menu. That shows the order in which the songs are played. For the first song that you want, it should be in order 1, the next song in order 2 and etc...

Workaround for playing audio under several slides

There is a workaround (albeit a bit clumsy) for playing audio tracks under a series of slides throughout a presentation. Divide the slideshow into individual slideshow segments (A, B, C, D, etc.) and whenever you need to play audio under a series of slides, create this series as a separate segment, with the audio track running as the "soundtrack." Then, you can link each segment to the next via a "hyperlink."
BEWARE, however, that although the audio will play throughout the segment, you still must do all of your Builds and Transitions manually (or automatically) because they will NOT playback with the "automation" feature of a "recorded" soundtrack presentation.
You also will not be able to play (or preview) any "recorded" slideshow from anywhere but the beginning.
I said it was cumbersome, but it does work ... sort of ...

ITunes won't play audio with mp4 or mov video

I have wasted many frustrating hours now trying to get iTunes to play mp4 and mov videos but can't get any sound. A few months back it was working fine. Tried ALL the suggested fixes like uninstalling, updating and checking all the MIME/File boxes. When I went back to QT 7.5 and played the files independently of iTunes everything was fine. Quicktime 7.6, 7.67 & 7.7.1 do not play the audio independently or under iTunes and of course iTunes won't play video with QT less than 7.7.1. The same mp4 videos uploaded to my iPOD work fine. I currently have iTunes 10.5.3.3 installed on a Windows XP SP3 on an e-machines pc. Ideas please!!

I got this problem as well. Seems as soon as I moved to version 7.6 it stopped playing my video audio. My music plays fine, but my video audio is non-existant. It's not the file itself because I can play off my iPod (though not off my iPod through iTunes) just fine. I've done all the suggestions above and NOTHING has worked. Is there anything else we can find???

How to play audio with the phone receiver

I have a strange question.
I try to use my iPhone 4s (iOS8.1) for an audio tour in the art gallery.
I am looking for a way to play iTunes audio and listening on your phone in the style of you put your ear on your phone... Dose this make sense?
I want to play audio through not the phone speaker, but the phone receiver which you listening when you use your iPhone.
I was looking for some app to do it,,, but I know this is very strange way of using iPhone, so I can't find any tips or apps....

Not all HTML works on the iPad, and not all HTML that works on the iPad works in DPS. Whenever you create HTML, check first to see if it works in mobile safari. If it doesn't work in mobile safari, it won't work in DPS.
Basic HTML, CSS and Javascript are supported in mobile safari. But if you are using Flash or Run Java Applets or sometimes even jQuery, your code won't work in mobile safari. Some HTML5 tags are not fully supported.

Playing audio sound when slide is clicked

I have a button on my first slide which links to the third slide, and I want to play a sound as soon as the third slide is opened. How do I do this?

Drag the sound file to the third slide. Select the speaker icon for it, and in the Build Inspector, set its Build In to "Start Audio". Click the More Options button to show the Build Order drawer, and use the dropdown menu to set the build to start "Automatically after transition".

ITunes only play audio with videos. regular songs won't play

I have tried everything from updating, to uninstalling and downloading a new version. Music videos, movies, TV, etc. as long as there is video sound will play but plain audio won't play. I audio diamond won't move either. Everything transfers to my iPod fine. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

How to play audio with an embed code?

I have a code to embed an audio player and I create a muse document to create a html index and them I put it in indesign document with the overlay creator tool (web content).
In the desktop preview works fine but in the ipad doesn't. Any idea?

The slide needs to change, but the audio can stay the same.
Is there a way that I can do this?

Left click on audio icon on the slide thumbnail of the
original slide.
find in library.
drag the audio on to the side you want to reuse the audio.

Play music with a slide show

This facility appears very restricted - it only allows one file to be used and only in mp3 or mp4 formats. Most recorded music is in separate tracks and most slideshows will be more than 10 mins duration so unless one has a single track long enough, the pictures won't fit the music. I tried stitching together several tracks into a single file but LR didn't regard that as a valid file for some reason. It would be much better if a whole folder of music tracks could be selected and each one then played in sequence or randomly. Also for other formats than mp3 to be allowed.

Playing audio over two sliides

I am trying to play audio over two slides. I basically want
it to loop over the two slides and then stop. It won't work for a
project because I don't want it to play the entire time. I tried
doing it for the two slides, but there is no looping option when I
am in the editing audio window.
Can someone help me out?

In order to do this, you will need to edit the audio and
create a single clip that is timed to span the two slides. So for
starters, I'd examine the timing to determine exactly how long the
clip should be. Then edit the clip and copy/paste to create a clip
exactly that length. Then insert the clip on the first slide. You
should then see an option advising of a mismatch between audio
timing and slide timing. You will want to choose the bottom option.

My new MacBook will not play TV shows, or connect audio with slideshows

I just bought a black 2 gigHZ MacBook and when starting it up used a firewire to transfer everything from my Intel iMac, as prompted. Seemed to work fine, except: the TV shows in iTunes will not play in Front Row on my MacBook. And in iTunes they will play as video only: no sound.
Also, I tried to make a slideshow in iPhoto, but I cannot attach a soundtrack from my iTunes plibrary: again, no audio, though the slides play.
Odd thing is: I can play commercial DVDs in Front Row. No problem. Likewise with iTunes music library. The ptoblem seems limited to TV shows I have downloaded from iTunes music store, and to the slide show/no audio issues.

this must be done manually and is not transferred automatically with other datas as you can authorize up to 5 computers !
if you didn't already do this, give it a try !

Cp6.. Audio from FLV Slide Video keeps playing

I have a project with several slides in a row that have flv videos with audio. I used the multi-slide/sync video.. not event video to install the video on each slide. Here's the problem:
Say I'm watching /listening to the video on slide 1, when I use the playbar to advance to slide 2, the audio thats attached to the video on slide 1 continues to play, and the video on slide 2 also starts.   So, I'm watching the video on slide 2 but hearing the audio from video 1 and video 2. This does not occur when with mp4 videos.   I am using a standard playbar. This does not happen in CP5.5 with the same project. Any Ideas?

Nimmy, Yes, I did have transitions applied. Changing to “No Transition” did resolve the issue. This was one of a series of Captivate 5.0 projects I’m updating.   I just confirmed that the second one in series had the same issue when updated in Captivate 6. Again, changing to “No Transitions” resolved the issue. I also, opened both of these projects in Captivate 5.5 and republished – the transitions work perfectly in Captivate 5.5.
Vikram, this issue occurred on a Win 7 PC, the videos are not split across separate slides, as reported above, I can duplicate the issue across several projects now.   I did try different FLV. I was incorrect in my original post about MP4’s not having the same issue.   The project with the MP4 videos did not use transitions. When I applied a transition, the same issue occurred.
This is one of several Captivate 6 issues that’s causing me to reconsider using it.    It has several new features I’d like to use but its eating up a ton of time, none of which is billable.    I’d suggest that if you can… create/publish any new projects in Captivate 5.5 then open in Captivate 6. If everything works as expected great. Otherwise, you have a fallback position in Captivate 5.

Audio on last slide after quiz questions not playing

Captivate v5.5
I have a project with a question pool and a series of random questions
The random question slides are without audio.
After finishing the question pool the project closes with the final slide which does have some audio - which runs fine when I test the slide.
However when I test the whole project (F12) the audio on the last slide does not play.
The audio on the slides prior to the random question slides plays without any problem.
Any ideas please?

Thanks for the suggestion. But changing the question setting to infinite attempts will just allow the user to retry each question over and over until they get it correct. I want to give them one chance to answer each question for the entire quiz. Then, if they don't pass, they can try the entire quiz again.
I ended up finding a resolution, though. Based on one of the suggestions from this blog, I just shortened my slide time for each question to .5 sec (it was originally 3 sec). That seemed to do the trick!
