Play from menu without using buttons?
I want to set up a very simple menu -- only the title of the film. Is it possible to play the tracks from the first play menu with out assigning buttons. Basically I want the viewer to be able to stick the DVD in a player and press the play button to begin the film. All I can do right now is assign a button and you must press "enter" to begin-- the play button doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You can just make the title of the film the first part of the track that is the first play for the disc.
Or you can make the menu that times out to the next track as a jump
Or you can make the title one track that jumps to the main menu, with the first track as first play

Interestingly I have the same issue on my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.3 as I do on my iPad mini suggesting that this might be an issue either with my account or with iOS iBooks software in general.

J2IUN is to utllize Excise Duty. The liability of Excise duty is utilized from Excise balances of BED, PLA , Service tax etc.. as per business requirements.

How can I execute an SSIS package from TSQL without using xp_cmdshell?
I have a web-app which calls some SQL which executes my SSIS package (a DTSX file, but stored in the server). But the security policy for my application won't permit me use to xp_cmdshell.
I want to do this:-

EXEC @returncode = xp_cmdshell 'dtexec /sq pkgOne"'
Is there another way for executing a Package without going to the command line (e.g. is there some other system stored proc)?
ThanksWhoa - don't go taking my words as saying "it should work". I never said that - I just said I know less than you :) I'm assuming that since the CLR is .Net, and you can launch a package from .Net code, you may be able to do so from the CLR.
But... I also know that CLR has lots of restrictions on it, and some of those may cause you to be unable to run it from the CLR.
One thing I will say - I've never heard of anyone doing this. That's got to tell you something about:
Whether it can be done at all... although I think I'd have heard/seen something about how it's not possible.
Whether it's a good idea... maybe other routes are less trouble.

Print Crystal Report directly from C# without using Report Viewer
Hello All,
I need to print a crystal report directly to the printer without using ReportViewer in C#. I've a CrystalReport2(belowCode) which requires a query (Select * from JobHeader where JobNumber='J012345') to display all the data. I'm stuck with database connection
and putting all the data to DataAdapter in C# (Below Code). I also have 8 subreports in my CrystalReport2. Can somebody please give me hand on this? I'm struggling with it. Thanks.

If someone clicks on a file(and does not hit enter/cancel buttons), I want to get the file name.
I tried actionevent but it only works after the user hits a button.I'm using Forte and it won't let me apply that listener to a filechooser. So unless I'm missing something, I'm not sure how to implement it or use it correctly

Accessing the top menu without using the mouse
i just switched from a pc and am trying to figure out how to use the keyboard most efficiently. how do i get to the top menu (file, edit, etc.) off of keystrokes? once i'm up there i can just use the arrow keys to move from menu to menu.

I deffinitly saw this and tried it. It is possible to do. I just don't use it and I forgot how. I saw it during the first months of last year on the Apple start up page under something like hot new tips for using Tiger or some such.
I copied this from an entry by someone else:
get a book called "The Missing Manual: Mac OS X, Leopard Edition" this book is the greatest information source for a mac I have ever seen. It tells you step by step how to basically do anything you want on a mac. For a 25-30 dollar investment, 900 pages of information, i felt it was well worth it. it can be picked up online and at your local barnes and noble or borders.
It is probably in this book if we can not find it in "key board short cuts" here in apple support.

Coverting video from images without using JMF.
Dear All,
I want to convert video from sequence of images.
I have used JMF sample for doing the same.It works pretty fine.
But I want to do same without using JMF.
Do anyone here used another libraries like FFMPEG for Java or Theora to achieve same.

Ashish NijaiI've done this in the past by calling out to ffmpeg as an external application. There's nothing Java specific in that other than the act of calling an external binary - for which the ProcessBuilder API should be your starting point. If you have questions about ProcessBuilder start a new thread in "Java Programming" or "New To Java" but remember to google first - it's a common topic.
A bit of Googling suggests that there might be some JNI wrappers for ffmpeg too.
Note that on the project where I used ffmpeg we eventually went over to running it in batches from a cron script with no Java components at all. -
Nextval from trigger without using DUAL

It is possible to obtain the nextval of a sequence from a trigger without using DUAL?
I have a table (TABLE1) with column ID NUMBER(10).
I have a sequence (SEQ1)
I need a trigger on before insert TABLE1 and I need obtain the nexval of the sequence BUT I CAN NOT use DUAL (it is forbbiden in my project. Don't ask :((( )

why do you think using dual ist most of the time
unnecessary?Because in most scenarious you won't need dual.
What are the reasons for using dual?
1) because you need the value later in some other computations. The most elegant, simple and performant solution is just use returning clause of the insert statement.
2) because the value is not provided. As I'm usually using more or less logic in DB or at least some business logic API (as pl/sql packages/procs) I'm always inserting new rows using sequence.nextval in the very insert statement so absolutely no need for before insert trigger supplying id value.
If you think that select sysdate/sequence.nextval and similar things are very cheap then it is not true :)
I've seen some batch procedures processing many rows and for each row:
1) get sequence.nextval into variable from dual
2) insert row using variable in id
And select seq.nextval from dual took more tha 10% of overall time.
Ok just a simple test case on 9i
declare
val number;
begin
for i in 1..10000 loop
select seq1.nextval into val from dual;
insert into seq2 values (val);
end loop;
end;dbms_profiler shows that total time for select into was ~982 msec but insert just took 722 msec. So actual insert took less than select from dual! The overall time was 1.922 secs.
OK now let's see how it is with following script:
declare
val number;
begin
for i in 1..10000 loop
insert into seq2 values (seq1.nextval) returning a into val;
end loop;
end;insert row took 931 msec and overall time was 1.094 secs.
So this is for batch. For OLTP like app the only difference is that resource waste is spread out for many transactions but the overall net result is the same - you are inefficiently wasting resources.
Ok in 10g results will be better with fast dual, but select anything from dual is very bad habit especially if used extensively.

PavanYou will require some kind of SMTP server to be able to send mail from your app (not necessarily M$ exchange.) Just look for mail servers for the platform of your choice.
