Play guitar on Tecra M9

Hi,
I am trying to play my guitar through my Tecra M9, unfortunately I cannot hear the guitar through speakers or headphones.
I have also tried this using an external mic, as in karaoke type setup. The mic works, I can hear it if I record, but there is no option in sound properties to add a mic to the playback and there doesnt seem to be an option in the HD Audio Manager.
I can do this with my HP, with no hassle whatsoever.
This seems to be an issue with a few other brands too, using the same sound card. I can find registry settings to add the MIC to playback for most other brands, but not for the Tecra M9. (I am comfortable editing the registry)
I understand they do this to remove the feedback problems, but if i were using an external mic, or guitar in this case, feedback wouldnt be an issue.
I was using xp 64-bit, but have since reinstalled vista, but this didnt resolve the problem. I have also tried various drivers with no joy.
Any help would be much appreiated, not to keen to swap my nice tecra with the GF for my old HP.

I have a work around if anyone else has the same problem I did, Although I would still like a proper solution.
You can use NERO wave editor, if you have nero installe, there is an option in there to monitor input.
Also, you can use various guitar apps, I am using Native Intruments Guitar Rig.

In iTunes, is there any way to play one song at at time and have the song stop at its end. I want to play guitar with a track and have that track stop playing rather than going to the next song.

I want to play a single song in iTunes on my ipad and have the track stop when the song finishes, rather than itunes playing the next track. I play guitar with the track and need iTunes to stop at the end of the song.
I have worked around this issue by creating a separate play list for each song, then inserting the song into the play list. I would like to find a more straight forward solution that would eliminate this extra step. On my PC, I use QuickTime to bring up an individual song and then can play one track at a time.

On the IPod if the shuffle icon is colored blue it is ON, if it is colored white it is OFF. This control is global, if it is ON any album or list will be shuffled.

I want to play guitar with a friend through my iphone and his ipad.

I want to play guitar with a friend through my iphone4 and his ipad. Is this possible??? I hooked my Iphone4 to a FM transmitter so I could hear my friend through my stereo. However, whenever I played, his feed cut out. Is there a way to play music in real time using these devices?

Microphone sounds garbled when I sing and play guitar.

Hello, I just purchased a lenovo G505 and when i try to record when i play guitar and sing it comes out all garbled and like there is water in the background. I tried it on skyp and it worked fine it seems it is picking up the guitar as background noise and makes it garbled... my voice sound ok. I also bought an external mic.... no difference.. I also tried different distances.. no luck... what can I do...???? thanks J

Can you try the following:
1. Disable Microphone Boost by opening Control Panel (icon Views) > Sound > Recording Tab. Select the Microphone that you're using then click Properties > Levels Tab.

2. Enable / Disable Audio Enhancements and observe
- navigate to Control Panel (Icon Views) > Smart Audio and see if you can disable Microphone Noise Reduction, Echo Cancellation, etc.

Learn to play guitar missing menu

According to the video tutorial, there is possible to get guitar lessons from garage band.
Unfortunately, I can't get to this feature.
In the video is something like "choose learn to play guitar from a new project dialog box".
When I open a new instrument, there is no such option.
Anyone can help how to activate this feature?

What do you guys suggest for playing guitar thru my Macbook Air? I use guitar pro software to learn tabs but I would like to be able to play along thru the computer. thanks

I used to play my guitar thru my PC using a line 6 Guitar port, Then I could play along with Guitar Pro tabs or MP3's. Now I have the Guitar Pro software on my Mac Air and I neeed an interface (which I can get at the Appple store- guitar plug to USB) but I neeed a suggestion for what software to run as an amp simulator, maybe line 6 is the best or maybe there are others I should check out. I know there are guitar "apps" for Ipads etc but this is a Mac. BTW I did not like the guitar sounds produced by Garageband. Thanks

I'm using GJABB with Logic Express 7.2.3 and have no problems.
However, I haven't started messing around with the modulation wheel yet which is pretty important in this libary since it controls volume. The sounds are great, though. I've just raised the mod wheel on each track to get the basic arrangement done, then I'll try the mod wheel for expression.
One thing about this library is that it pretty much forces you to do single horn lines since each patch is monophonic (like the real instrument). It does produce pretty nice results that way. I haven't tried upping the polyphony as I like the results this way.

Why can't I play guitar with an MP3?

I dropped in an MP3 into the GB timeline and I want to add real guitar to it. However, it's not coming through. The iMic is recognized but nothing from the guitar in either USB ports.

I have an MP3 of a vocal track taken from a separate project. I imported it into a new project, but when I try to record on top of it, I can't get a USB midi controller or a guitar plugged in through an iMic to play. Only the MP3 plays.

Want to play Guitar Hero on PowerPC

Hi All,
Recently I noticed that guitar Hero 3 has been released on Mac...I really want to play this but I don't have the intel processor. Is there anyway to get this to work on my G5 PowerPc imac (not insight version one before). I have all other requirements apart from the processor.
Anyone have any ideas, I would be more than grateful..:)

Why does sound fade as I play guitar?

whenever I play my guitar plugged in to garage band, on the mac, it seems to fade in sounds I play continuous notes. I also get feedback on the distorted guitars. Any ideas why these things are happening? I'm going through a Tiger Ico2- wh

Thank you Ann for answering that fast. Yes. It does look normal when paused and rendered. As soon as it is unrendered, it will go to 50 % size when I play it.
Can I change the settings somewhere for unrendered footage?

Lag time when I play guitar

Last night GB11 worked fine when I plugged my guitar in. Tonight, there is a 1-5 second delay between the time I hit the note and when I hear it through the computer. Any ideas?

I have solved the problem in preferences > audio /midi > audio output = audio integrated not system settings and audio input = audio integrated not system setting

Hello I have an April 2006 13' Macbook.
It is a 2Ghz, 1GB 667 Mhz.
Ive got an Intel GMA 950 with 64MB VRAM.
I know I'm not anywhere near where i need to be but please, is there anything i can do?

Unfortunately, there's little/nothing to do that will allow you to "upgrade" your machine to meet the minimum system requirements of Guitar Hero III. That game does not support shared/virtual graphics processors in laptops, which the MacBook is configured with from the factory.

Playing guitar on keyboard

hey I'm urgently looking for a realistic guitarsound plug-in, to simulate rhythm guitars on a keyboard (I need both accoustic strumming and all kinds of electric). So I'm not looking for amp simulators, but real guitarsounds.
Of course they must be compatible with logic pro7.

Since I'm a guitarist, I don't go near this stuff, but admittedly, this product deals with some of the shortcomings that make samples sound like samples, as opposed to the real deal.

Learn to Play Guitar has distortion

Basic lesson #7 (major barre chords) has the same distortion effect as lesson #6 (power chords) where it makes sense. In lesson #7 the distortion makes it really difficult to hear whether all strings ring correctly. Is there a way to change the effects in the lessons?
I've just updated to GB 10 (10.0.1 to be exact) before starting so I don't know whether this has changed with the update.
