Play, pause, and skip button won't work on lock screen

When I slide the little tab up and it gives you the options of the flashlight,calculator, and camera the play button and skip button don't work. I have an ipod5 and updated to iOS 7 how do I get it to work

Thanks for your help. I tried a restore but that didn't work. Do you know of any instructions for taking one of these units apart? I might try seeing if anything is obstructing the buttons. If not, the buttons are probably faulty, just as you said.

Hey everyone so i recently downloaded and installed itunes 9.2.1 I don't have any problems with it now but i've noticed that on my mac the previous, play/pause, and next buttons on the top row of keys don't work now has that happened with anyone else? now when i look under controls on itunes it says to pause its the space key and previous and next are command then left or right arrow but those only work when you have itunes open in front of you. Its not a huge deal but i was so used to just flipping through music and pausing and started when i wanted its just annoying!!! lol is there anyway to get them to work again?

I was having this problem as well. They were working with everything else, including my Google Chrome media keys extension (Sway.fm Unified Music Media Keys in my case). If you're running a browser extension that allows you to use your media keys on your browser, disable it. In my case it seems the extension was somehow blocking iTunes from being able to use the media keys. Once I disabled it, the keys worked perfectly with iTunes. I imagine this is probably a problem with the latest iTunes update not wanting to share use of the media keys rather than a problem with the browser extensions, since my browser extension hasn't updated since I first downloaded it.

This is whle my phone is locked both on the slide up toolbar/menu interface and on the normal screen before i slide to unlock.

I skimmed through this very long post but from what I read, this sounds much more like a coverage issue with your network than a device issue. I have not seen or heard of this issue before and I do not have this issue personnally and & I use the music app quite frequently while working in the yard.
The DND feature should not be a factor at all if you're sure it's turned off. I always recommend restarting your phone by holding down the home button + the lock button for 10-12 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Once the phone reboots, do a test to see if this has helped to resolve the issue.
If not, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then, test it out again. Post back if neither of these solutions solve your issue.

Using a bluetooth headphone, how can I play/pause and skip tracks on apps like Spotify?

I have just bought the Sennheiser MM 550-x bluetooth headphone. I am not able to use the headphone's bluetooth buttons to play/pause and skip tracks in Spotify and other non-Apple apps in Lion. The bluetooth controls (avrcp) work in iTunes and QuickTime player, though. The same issue applies to the Apple headsets with inline remote controls. Is there a workaround for this, like third party remote apps that responds to bluetooth commands or let you remap incoming bluetooth commands?

I'm having the same issue with my Philips, I have tested on ML and Maverick and still happening, the controls just work with iTunes and I always use spotify... Any solution for that!?!!?!?

My play and skip button will not work on the control center and lock screen

For the first few days I had iOS 7, everything worked fine. Now the Control Center and lock screen will not play, pause, or skip through my music or iTunes Radio. It works fine within music but I would prefer not to have to unlock my phone every time I want to skip a song. Anyone having this issue/know of a way to fix it?

I didn't have that problem, but I had many others. I've always been a fan of Apple but I'm really disappointed with the latest updates. iOS 7 is full of bugs, the worst being in my music app. It crashes, both in my iPhone 5 and iPad 4, it keeps autosyncings songs from the cloud I don't want (and I can't get them erased), plays a song, but shows a different song, to name just a few... I hope they fix this asap, cause that's really annoying me.

Send and reset buttons won't work on contact form

Hey, I'm using Flash CS3 and ActionScript 2. I've created a simple contact page, inside a movie clip (because I got it fading in and out), I've put the script on the main timeline, so not inside the movie, but the send and reset buttons won't respond all. I've checked the instance names and spellings are correct, here's the script I'm using:

ok, i've got the send button working, it was the script on the keyframe that controls the contact form, i copied the code from an older version of the contact file where the send button works. i've checked all the frames, and made sure there aren't any unnecessary instance names, duplicate or otherwise. only thing is the reset button still doesn't work.
another thing i'm not sure of, do i need to upload the swf and php files to a server, or should i be able to get a test email in my inbox if i test it from my computer without uploading?

My 32GB 4G itouch's lock button AND volume button won't work.

I got my 4G 32GB on Christmas and about two weeks later the lock button and volume button just stopped working. My hands weren't even wet. How do I fix it and how can I restart it without the lock button?

You may need to make a trip to an Apple Store or other authorized place to have it repaired, assuming it's a hardware issue. If it's a software issue, you can try going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will force the iPod to reboot and restore it to factory settings, but you will be able to get your data back from a backup. If it is a hardware issue, then it's time for a trip to the store.

Got the latest Itunes (11, I think) and now it says that 'Itunes.itl isn't working because it's a newer version of Itunes' and when I go to my older Itunes, the F7, F8 and F9 buttons won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Okay, so I got the latest update and apparently it doesn't work. I had an icon on my desktop that wouldn't open because the 'newer Itunes' is apparently corrupt or something. Going into my applications, I found another Itunes icon and it opens up, but not the F7, F8 and F9 keys aren't working with it. I've already tried installing the latest version and that hasn't helped. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Refreshes to bottom of page randomly without prompt, and back button won't work unless clicked several times.

I've noticed that every time I open a page, I am automatically redirected to the bottom of the page, after scrolling up to the top I can only go a few minutes on that page before Firefox refreshes to the bottom of the page again without my doing anything at all. It's similar to when you're viewing a page at a certain point, and you refresh, it'll refresh back to the spot that you were viewing, only it's as if Firefox thinks that I was down at the bottom of a page I haven't opened before (in all cases with any website I visit), and it brings me immediately to the bottom of the page, and then several times when I'm simply viewing the page.
The other issue is when I try to hit the back button. You know those obnoxious websites that don't really go back unless you hit the back button a bunch of times, or go to the drop down back menu? EVERY page is like that now. I can't go back on most pages because if I go back to far, it goes to a blank page that I started on and then the forward button greys out. It's almost as if Firefox is having a laugh at my expense, but I don't want to give it that much credit.
This is most irritating when I'm working on Webassign.net, my calc homework pages cause Firefox to crash or freeze up anyway when I have to use their textbox with complicated math symbols, so when ti starts freshing and jumping all over the place while trying to input complicated equations, I usually just have to close everything and open Firefox again. I lose a lot ot math homework that way.

Keyboard and all buttons won't work

so for some reason, all the buttons on my blackberry curve 8330 have stopped working. Not even one will input anything, including the mute button and the two side buttons. The trackball can still move the cursor around the main screen but when I try to click on anything with the trackball button or any other button nothing happens. I did the battery reset thing but that didnt help and I dont know what else to do. help!!

I'm having the same issue. My phone is locked, and the only thing it will do is light up (the screen will come on that is) if I plug in a charger or USB cable, and if I roll the trackball, the menu comes up w/ UNLOCk highlighted.
If i receive a phone call, I can answer it, but I can't END it...I have to wait for the other person to hangup.
I've done several battery pulls w/ and w/o the memory card in there.

I wanted to update my ipod since the new version was out so i did so and then it suddenly stopped updating and when i clicked the play/pause and restart button, a blue screen appeared. what should i do?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

On my iPhone, my home button and sleep button won't work but everything else is fine.

It's just fustrating.

I have the Nano 1st generation and the buttons aren't working. The screen still lights up and display stuff. I've tried resetting it. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem or is time for a new one????

"OK Google" won't work from lock screen in lollipop

Wishing I hadn't bothered with the lollipop update as this has really diminished my phones usage.
I had been able to use the "ok google" voice command to make phone calls, change music etc while using my bluetooth headset connected to my motorbike helmet whilst my phone was in my pocket with the screen off & locked.
Since updating to lollipop I cannot get this to work on the Z3 & I am really disappointed with this.
Reading feature articles regarding loliypop this should work from the lockscreen but it doesn't & I now really wish I hadn't bothered with this gaudy update, for me lollipop is a huge backwards step - not liking it at all.

Try doing this if you didn't do it before:
- Go to your app drawer and start "Google Settings" app
- Under "Services", select "Search & Now" -> "Voice" -> "OK Google detection"
- Check the option of "From any screen"
- Go through the voice training wizard to get the process completed.
If you find the option already active, and you had upgraded to Lollipop without resetting your device to factory settings. I'd suggest going to Settings -> Apps -> Google App -> Force stop and Clear Cache -> Restart phone -> Redo the above procedure.
Let us know if this works.
